Part 2/6 Read PART ONE: Silence Speaks Pride OR Coming Out Set during S3E12: ‘The Spanish Teacher’ Sam’s week of not talking to Mercedes continues. But he’s already decided what to do about her and him. Nothing. He’s going to let Mercedes stay with Shane, because, in the past four days, he’s realised that while he loved Mercedes he wasn’t in love with her. In the past four days he’s figured out the difference between Love and Friendship (at least, he’s pretty sure he has) But that’s opened up a lot of questions he now has to think about.

Sam spent the next few hours after Glee and their performance of Bamboleo/Hero in a daze, his thoughts swirling in his head. He may have figured out his feelings - or lack thereof - for Mercedes, but now something even bigger had emerged from the depths of his subconscious. He needs to do some more thinking. He really didn’t want to do more thinking. In fact, he’d probably done more thinking in the past few days than he’d done in his entire life. He couldn’t really remember how he got back to the Hudmels that afternoon, but there he was, sitting with Kurt on the couch again, Finn over at Rachel’s… or maybe it was Puck’s? Sam couldn’t remember. Kurt handed him a mug of warm milk, and they settled in to watch whatever movie Kurt had put into the DVD player. They’d been having movie nights like this often since Sam had moved into the Hudmel House. Just him and Kurt on the evenings Finn was out of the house, often on a Tuesday because Burt stayed late at the Shop and Carole was working the night shift at the hospital, so they had the house to themselves at least once a week. Kurt always told Sam that he was much better at ‘Lady Chats’ than Finn, though Sam didn’t really understand why they were ‘Lady Chats’ when they were both guys, and, as the movie started - some musical, judging by the opening scene and the singing - Sam asked. “It’s because we talk about our feelings, Sam.” Kurt told him, eyes on the TV and hands around the warm mug. His feet were folded under him, a blanket around his shoulders, and he looked comfortable, dressed in a fashionable looking hoodie and sweatpants. Sam liked that he got to see Kurt dressed down every day, it suited him in a way that was different to the way his intricate outfits suited him. It made him look soft, and happy, and relaxed. Sam liked that Kurt had slowly shown that side of himself to him, had felt comfortable enough around him to do so. “Do you do that with any of your other guy friends?” ...

Santana might not have been the one to complain about Sue but she sure should have reported her too, my god. Put aside her horrid B plot this week, put aside the lasting trauma she’s caused all her Cheerios even, but Sue made super fucking bizarre and sexual comments to Santana while she was complaining about Santana complaining about her.

A lot of what Sue does is played for laughs and you know, I can live with that. But the way she sexualizes Santana turns my stomach.
