Top 5 Brittana moments?☺️
okay wait, this is actually hard... let. me. thinK.
I've done enough thinking I'm just putting some of my favourites here that are loosely ranked and may vary depending on my mood.
Honourable mention:
Santana helping Brittany with stuff. For example, in Wheels Brittany raises her left hand instead of her right and Santana's like 'it's this one' and corrects her. Or during Damnit Janet Santana helps her read the lines. I just think they're cute background moments.
5. I don't really have a proper reason for Valerie s5 , but I still feel like it belongs here. I just love two happy gay gals dancing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Landslide was my third most streamed song on Spotify and my third most streamed Glee song (my whole top 5 was Glee songs, i won't apologise and i have zero regrets). It was probably the most important moment in the whole series for Santana and even for Brittany it was a key moment that proves her love and support and loyalty for Santana. So yeah, great song, meaningful moment. One of my favs.
Tumblr media
3. The churros kiss of course had to be in here somewhere. I remember screaming the first time i saw it. And I will scream every time is see it.
Tumblr media
2. I love love love Brittana during Toucha Toucha Touch me, especially at the end when they're running through the hallway and they're just dancing and prancing. Again, I love seeing two happy gay gals dancing.
Tumblr media
Maybe it's because i just saw a gif set of it, but the s3 valentine's episode where they're sitting at the table and Santana kisses Brittany's hands during cherish/cherish has gotta be my favourite. The moment where Brittany presses her cheek in Santana's hands and of course their kiss at the end of the song are also fantastic, but specifically Santana kissing Brittany's hands is just the epitome of tenderness and love for me.
Tumblr media
LOOK AT THESE CUTIES
Okay let's wrap up my ramblings. I'm sure there are plenty more i cannot think of now

[Unsolved 2]
heya! we're back!
episode two <3
tags: @angelicsoul16
“This week we investigate The Whaley House in San Diego, California as part of our ongoing investigation to answer the question; Are ghosts real? This house was ranked as the most haunted house in America.” Ryan explained.
“Number one??” Shane gasped.
“Number one.” Ryan confirmed.
“Woah! Top of the pops!” You said.
“We’re going to the top dog.” Ryan nodded.
Later on in the day, the three of you arrived at said location. You liked houses like this, it always had a real historical feeling to it. Like.. victorian. It was so pretty.
“Here we are.” Ryan sighed.
“Y’know, we could get a nice drink after this, even if we get possessed.” You suggested.
“Oh, that’s right!” Ryan laughed with glee.
“You bet your ass we’re getting some brewskis after this.” Shane grinned.
“Alright! In we go, can’t stall forever, can we?” You hopped up the stairs.
Ryan seemed unnerved as you all entered the house, but you were just looking around. No doubt this place was expensive as hell. Especially in San Diego.
“You could feel the history coming from the walls in here.” Ryan shuddered.
“Isn’t that wonderful, though?” Shane asked.
“Not when the history fights back!” Ryan shook his head.
“So, what’s first on the agenda?” You asked.
“An EVP in Violet’s room.” Ryan said, leading the way to her room.
As they arrived, you looked around at the decor. Looks about par for the course.
“This is the sorrowful room. Do you feel sorrowful in here?” Shane questioned.
“No, not particularly.” You hummed. “It’s a room.”
“Here we go, we’re going to be silent and allow for you to talk to us.” Ryan addressed Violet.
Silence.
Until Shane yawns.
“Well, what a shocker, nothing happened.” You shrugged.
“Yeah, it’s just a bedroom.” Shane stretched.
“Alright, whatever guys. Let’s go to the next room.” Ryan rolled his eyes.
The next area was the courtroom. You never did like courtrooms. Not that you’ve been arrested or anything, they just make you nervous.
“Spirit, if you’re here and you’re angry, Ryan would like to feel a shiver up his spine.” Shane said.
Nothing happened.
“It would appear that they don’t respond to specific requests.” He hummed.
“That’s true. You kinda just have to wait for it to happen.” Ryan sighed.
“Maybe it’s a good portal?” You suggested.
Ryan laughed. “Maybe, maybe.”
“Aw man.. My flashlight went out.” Shane said.
“Are- Are you serious??” Ryan asked.
Shane tried to turn it on over and over again, but to no avail. Each time spawned a resonating click from the flashlight.
“Well damn.” You hummed. “That sucks.”
Ryan began to look around frantically.
“What’s wrong, dude?” You asked.
“I just heard the chair creak next to me. Maybe it’s old wood.. Yeah, that’s it.” He tried to rationalize.
“Old wood doesn’t creak though.” You pointed out.
“Oh man, I feel weird. Like all dizzy and gross.” Ryan said.
“Well, I’d say we’re obviously stepping into supernatural territory.” You laughed.
“Welp! That’s enough of that.” Ryan stood up with a panicked look.
“Wait wait, make Shane do it!” You interjected.
“If you say so! But, you have to do it too.” Shane shrugged.
Shane sat down in the chair and nothing really happened. You waited but Shane just tapped his foot impatiently.
“Welp, your turn Y/N.” Shane stood up with a stretch.
You sat down with a sigh. Your eyes scanned around the room, taking in the house to distract yourself. No creaks, but you did feel weird. Like a nauseating feeling churning in your stomach. You could feel something was off and yet, no harm could be done.
“You alright, N/N?” Shane asked.
“Ugh, no. I feel like I’m gonna be sick. I hate it here.” You admitted.
Shane seemed to notice something from above you and narrowed his eyes slightly. You didn’t notice it, being too enveloped in your own thoughts. However, bit by bit, the sickly feeling started to diminish. You felt like you could breathe again. You quickly scrambled off of the chair upon feeling something snake around your ankle. Nothing was there, but you didn’t want to sit there anymore.
“ALRIGHT WELL- Let’s go to the next room, shall we?” You suggested nervously.
“Next is the parlor, one of the most active rooms in the building.” Ryan narrated.
“Great.” You said sarcastically, gritting your teeth.
Shane patted your back. “Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. Like I said, I’ll protect you!”
You sighed. “Sure, fine. Whatever you say.”
The three of you entered the parlor and you could already feel something off. You didn’t want to look for ghosts anymore. To be honest, you were terrified.
The three of you had to take turns being alone in the room to talk to Yankee Jim. Five minutes, tops. You could do that, right? He’s just a funky ghost, he can’t hurt you. You knew that, but at the same time.. You were scared. You went after Shane did. No doubt he was goofing off the entire time.
“...” You didn’t want to talk. You had to, but you really didn’t want to.
“Hey dude. I uh.. My name is Y/N. I hear you like boats..?” You mustered out.
Silence. More silence. You could hear your own breathing, panicked and tight. If someone were to drop a pin, you would be able to hear it. You found yourself rocking back and forth, you didn’t know what else to do.
“Time's up!” You heard.
“Oh thank the gods.” You breathed out, practically scrambling out of the parlor.
“How was it?” Shane asked.
“Terrifying.” You sighed.
“How so?” He raised an eyebrow.
Ryan had already gone into the room for his turn.
“Very dark.. I don’t like the darkness. Makes me feel, I dunno, just completely alone.” You explained.
You could hear Ryan screaming. That’s about par for the course.
“That’s an understandable fear. Much more understandable than ghosts.” He laughed to himself.
“But really, just know that you’re not alone. Not as long as I’m here. Whenever you need me, I’ll always be here.” He put a hand on your shoulder.
You smiled. “Thanks, Shane.”
“Anytime, N/N.” He said.
Ryan finally stumbled out, looking panicked. Not too much of a surprise.
“Welp- Let’s get the HELL out of here!” He said.
You nodded, following after Ryan while Shane followed after you. What he said was true. As long as he was around, you’d never be alone. He had you right in his grasp and he’d be damned if he let you slip.
You’d always be safe as long as he was around. Even if he had to fight God or Satan himself, he’d protect you with all that he has.

ATLA Live Action Episode 3: Overall Thoughts.
This episode felt a lot stronger than the previous two! I felt like the actors were settling into their characters and the group dynamics (particularly between our main 3) felt a lot stronger and more natural.
Omashu was a really fun setting and the chaotic environment made for some great scenes (especially the Aang/Zuko fight).
Sebastian Amoruso and Lucian-River Chauhan were both big acting standouts. For how young he is, Teo had great presence and really believable delivery even on some really clunky lines. Jet was oozing charisma, and I as a viewer really felt for him and understood where he was coming from.
Ozai had a really strong introduction. I like that he’s menacing without having to yell and Daniel Dae Kim does a great job of making him feel eerily normal when he talks which is all the more unnerving.
Highlight of the episode was definitely the Azula scenes. Of course I, personally, was anticipating this, but I like that they’re letting Lizzy Yu be scary and sassy and emotionally expressive. In her first scene, she goes through so many different feelings from evil glee to fear to being desensitized to violence to mockery to insecurity and anxiety, but it doesn’t come across as over the top even for such a non-emotional character. She comes across as a nuanced character instantly, and I loved that. I hope that continues (Mai and Ty Lee-ESPECIALLY Ty Lee-were great as well).
And my lowlight was once again Katara. Her writing frustrates me so much. Aren’t we past the point of having our female leads be so passive while the male characters lead the way and show them everything? She feels like a relic of the past and it baffles me that a 2005 cartoon did this so much better. It shouldn’t be this way!
I did see some glimpses of her anger/spirit towards the end, especially with Jet, so hopefully that continues to come through. If it does I’ll enjoy the show more.
I’ll rank this a 7.75/10. Really enjoyable, improving a lot, but Katara’s writing is really dragging it down, especially since she gets such a focus in this one.

Singing statistics: Quinn Fabray
Once upon a time I decided to embark on a journey that involved creating a massive database with Glee songs and giving characters points based on how many covers they had and how much they sang in those songs. At some point I’m going to migrate all I’ve done so far over to tumblr but until then, please see this reddit post for the basics of the database and this masterpost for other character statistics and otherwise. If you have questions about the mechanics and are confused about what points refer to here, please consult with those posts or reach out. Otherwise, let’s talk Queen Bee Quinn. I have lots of visuals for you and some updates to the previously used template, and lots of words to explain what the images mean.
Tumblr media
First things first and some basics, Quinn was in 73 Glee episodes overall and during her time on the show, she sang in 42 songs total. Thanks to the point system and solos, duets, and lead roles in group numbers being worth more than 1 point, these 42 songs mean 66 points for her. With this, she’s the 13th most featured voice of the series, behind most of the original New Directions and just ahead of the season 4 newbies. With 42 performances, her voice is feature in just over 6% of all Glee songs so those are your chances of hearing Dianna when putting an all-songs Glee playlist on shuffle.
Tumblr media
Now to get into the different types of songs Quinn has had. Solos are worth 3 points in this system and of those Quinn had 6 in total. This makes her the 16th character with the most solos, ranking her lower than her overall singing place. Four out of 6 solos were in season 1, making it by far her best in that respect. Two of them were Unholy Trinity songs with Brittana on backup, once for real with Naya and Hemo in Come See About Me. Curiously, two solos were Supremes songs and a third, Never Can Say Goodbye, originally intended for The Supremes before landing with The Jackson 5. More on artists most often covered in a later section.
Tumblr media
Duets are worth 2 points and of those Quinn had 10, ranking her 10th among the cast. Her singing partners were a diverse bunch and there were only two characters she sang with twice, Sam in season 2 and Artie in season 3 episode 15 - both songs in the same episode. That’s Artie’s pattern, by the way. We have a pie chart here for the first actual chart graphics but more interesting than Quinn’s list of duet partners is the next slide.
Tumblr media
This way of visualizing the “sings with” category is new for Quinn’s character post. Previously this was just a column chart but the good old bubbles helps us actually see the differences more. The numbers are all in the table on the left but the chart tells that Quinn’s most significant singing partner overall was Santana. Now, this isn’t only duets, it’s every time Quinn is featured in a song with someone else. For example, out of Quinn’s 42 songs Santana was also in 16 of them. Fun fact, Santana is featured in every single one of Quinn’s season 4 songs, and very nearly in all season 6 ones. On the other end of the spectrum are Blaine and Mike; Mike isn’t a surprise as the OG who sang the least. He ranks lowest for practically every ND member. But Blaine is curious since there are only two group numbers Quinn and him are ever featured in together (Control and We’ve Got Tonite).
Tumblr media
And then we have something a little different, the distribution of points between Quinn and another character in their shared songs. For example, because Brittany often provides backup or has smaller parts when Quinn sings, their balance is way off from the 50% mark and Quinn tends to have larger parts in those shared songs. The opposite is true for Rachel, who often leads group numbers whereas Quinn tends to have small parts. Same goes for Finn, and then the rest is more or less near that 50% line.
Tumblr media
Speaking of and moving onto group numbers, as you might have guessed based on the stats so far Quinn didn’t exactly have the most throughout her run. She was featured in 18 New Directions performances overall, meaning she was in just under 9.5% of all ND songs. Out of these, one was her Sectionals duet with Sam and she took the lead or otherwise had a major solo in just five songs. The rest, 12 performances were a verse or two here and there, but mostly a line or two. She did also feature on Edge of Glory by The Troubletones but that doesn’t count towards her setlists statistics so she’s still only the 11th most featured there. Her duet goes a long way to not making that an even lower number. Quinn was present and a member of the New Directions for 22 competition performances overall and sang in 4 of those, her 4.5 points landing her the 11th most-featured spot.
Tumblr media
Performances that don’t include the whole group or even a subset like the Glee Girls get counted as ensembles instead. Quinn had two songs that qualify as trios, a Fapezberry and an Unholy Trinity feature - Problem counts as a quartet thanks to Artie, as well as two other songs. Her one quintet is the Celibacy Club’s banger Afternoon Delight and Homeward Bound/Home is her one sextet.
Tumblr media
Backups are a tricky business and there are many variations. Basically, both backing vocals in the traditional sense and just one lines in a song are worth 0.5 points and are counted for this category. The distribution with Quinn’s 8 half-pointers is three instances of what can be considered backing vocals and five times having very very small parts in songs, such as We’ve Got Tonite. Another curious category is what I mark with zeros, aka either “Quinn” providing vocals but Dianna not, e.g. I Look To You, or Dianna being said to provide them but that not necessarily being the case diegetically. These cases were decided based on Glee Wiki but they don’t count in the statistics anyway. Examples include Jump and Dog Days Are Over.
Tumblr media
Going back into chart territory now that we’ve had our look at song categories, first up the seasons by numbers. These columns refer to the number of songs Quinn had in seasons and the different shades denote song types. Even though season 1 is looking real dark with its four solos, it’s still a weak season vocally. We also see that, despite only singing in six songs, Quinn was the 7th most featured character in season 1. Things get significantly better, number of songs wise in seasons 2 and 3 - or do they? Technically yes, Quinn sings in more songs, but there’s a lack of solos and because of the ever-expanding cast she’s only 14th and 11th in seasons 2 and 3 respectively. While yes, season 3 is her most featured season, it is for a lot of others too, hence 11th place. And then as Quinn graduates and becomes a guest star these numbers understandably get much lower. But that isn’t the whole story.
Tumblr media
We’re back to bubble charts to get to the bottom of how well-featured Quinn was, exactly, in every season. You see, these numbers are adjusted for the number of episodes she was in and then we get the X axis of points and Y axis of songs. And it paints a different picture, does it not? Season 1 s her least featured when considering that she was in all episodes, not just in terms of songs but adjusted with points, too, so her solos didn’t count for much. And then there’s season 2, where there was a stretch of episodes without Quinn singing but it still fares better. Season 3 is an improvement yet again, but her guest star seasons are another beast entirely. Now, this makes sense. When Dianna Agron returns as a guest star it only feels right to feature her more than they did when she was a main character, admittedly an underutilized one. And so season 4 and 6 in particular stand out, even though she sang in both her season 5 episodes. Season 4 is ahead in terms of points, what with that one last solo, but season 6 packed five songs into what is basically just two episodes. Remember, season 1 had six songs overall in twenty-two episodes.
Tumblr media
To drive the point of Quinn’s underutilization home, here’s a side tour of Marley’s stats. At least that’s what I think the purpose of this left chart was when I made it well over a year ago. You see, our chart on the left tracks the cumilation of points as the episodes go on, for both Quinn and Marley. Quinn’s begins stagnating at around the point Marley appears, naturally as season 4 saw the exit of one and intro of the other. And see how Marley almost ended up with more overall points than Quinn? Because in just a season and a half she got 65 points, one short of Quinn’s grand total. In fact, for basically all of season 5 Marley was ahead, meaning she sang as much in season 4 as Quinn did in three seasons. The only thing that makes Quinn the 13th and Marley the 14th most featured voice is season 6.
To further illustrate the stark difference between how their voices were utilized in the time they had, on the right you can see a bubble chart similar to the previous slide’s. I know, it’s squished, but you can still see Marley blowing Quinn out of the water in terms of both average number of songs and point per episode. Twice as much, essentially. And to be clear none of this is against Marley, it’s just pointing out how relatively little Quinn got during her time, particularly as a regular.
Tumblr media
Now onto the genres and artists category. Above is the distribution of genres in Quinn songs, most notable is how few showtunes she did and the relatively big representation of soul. In fact, a whopping 4 out 6 six solos can classify as soul, a genre Glee didn’t feature a ton of. Pop and rock being the top two is no surprise given the overall ratios of the show but R&B/soul is well-represented with Quinn.
Tumblr media
No surprise, then, that the signature artists I was able to narrow down based on the numbers are The Supremes and The Jackson 5. Glee covered six Supremes songs and two of those were Quinn solos. As previously mentioned, a third solo was at one point meant to be a Supremes song but the switch just resulted in The Jackson 5 also being a signature artist for Quinn. Among the many Jackson songs covered, Glee did two Jackson 5 performances and both featured Quinn: the aforementioned Never Can Say Goodbye and ABC. Motown queen indeed.
Tumblr media
Coming towards the end, I wanted to make note of “extra” songs - covers not counted for the stats above, either because they weren’t actually featured in the show or because studio versions were never released. The former category includes the Christmas banger God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and the never-aired s3 version of Seasons of Love. The latter category has Ride Wit Me and the sadly never completed due to first trimester issues Fuinn version of DSB.
Tumblr media
Finally, this last image is just the table summary of the seasons column chart. It’s something I always included with old stats so I kept it in here, too, in case it helps anyone to see it laid out like this. I’m a believer in a good chart helping to make sense of numbers but sometimes seeing it presented like this also helps.
So. Yeah! That was Quinn’s Glee run in numbers. Please reach out with any and all questions, and if I see that people are actually curious about this stuff I’ll get on that tumblr migration and making new posts using the database. There’s a lot more to cover with the data that’s in there.

With 230(!) votes, the results are in for round one of the Nice Jewish Character Showdown! Voting for round two is live here, and is open until 6 pm EST on Friday, October 28th. Check below the break for detailed results on the first round of voting!
The Pines twins scratched the Strilondes out of their save file, winning 88.3% of the vote (203) versus their 11.7% (17).
Tommy Pickles is being put down for his nap, losing the vote with 38.7% (89) against Ron Stoppable's 61.3% (141).
As much as I love Toby (and had him as the winner on my own bracket), his political know-how was no match for James Buchanan Barnes, raking in only a third of the votes (31.3%, 72 votes, versus 68.7% and 158).
The war of the SoCal NJBs who rocked our tv screens in the early 00's has been decided, with Seth Cohen losing the vote (19.6%, 45 votes) to Disney Channel's Gordo (80.4%, 185). The power of a bar mitzvah episode!
The first of several tight races, Gretchen Weiners has run over Cher Horowitz with a school bus (don't worry, she's fine), with a vote of 118 (51.3%) to 112 (48.7%).
Second of the neck and neck races, turns out Fran Fine is just what the doctor prescribed, beating Barbie 117 (50.9%) to 113 (49.1%). All those Christmas dresses really don't work in Babs' favor, huh?
Whatcha doin', Rachel Berry? Not winning the tournament, that's for sure! Isabella took Rachel out to the curb, with an impressive margin of 205 (89.1%) to 25 (10.9%). I'm sure Rachel will take it in stride, though -- after all, "you're all minorities, you're in the glee club" (Mr. Schue, s1e7)
In a somewhat surprising (and potentially upsetting) twist, the coded character beats the explicitly Jewish one in the battle of the Smart Bitches, knocking Christina Yang out early and keeping Miss Frizzle in the competition (175, 76.1% to 55, 23.9%). It's okay, Christina, there's space for you in the school bus. Field trip!
No surprises that our next matchup is as close as it is... with 119 votes (51.7%) to 111 (48.3%), the winner of the DC Patriarch matchup is Bruce Wayne himself, Batman. It's okay, Kal-El, I'm still thinking about the Hebrew School class when we discussed your story as a Moses allegory.
I'm convinced that Ben Grimm and Peter Parker go to the same synagogue, which makes his loss to the webslinger a bit easier to handle (29 votes to Spiderman's 201, 12.6% to 87.4%). BTW if y'all haven't read the comic where The Thing becomes canon Jewish, you're missing out.
Is anyone shocked that Spock won the Space Jews matchup? No? Me neither. As much as I love a good Futurama episode, nothing beats Nimoy. Zoidberg's going back in the dumpster he lives in behind the Planet Express building, bringing home 39 votes (17%) in comparison to Spock's whopping 191 (83%).
Yoinks, how'd the Scooby Gang manage to win this one? With a margin I by no means expected to be this definitive, the Mystery Machine pulls ahead of the ENTIRE cast of the X-Men with 154 votes (67%) to their 76 (33%).
In the war of the Magical Boys, the alchemy was not in Edward Elric's favor, getting only 39.1% of the vote (90) to Steven Universe's 60.9% (140).
The last of the neck and neck battles, turns out Sam Manson is going ghost, with 49.6% of the vote to Willow Rosenberg's 50.4% (114 to 116).
I guess my thesis had some public consensus backing, because about two thirds of y'all agree that werewolves are INCREDIBLY Jewish, 143 votes to 87 belonging to Frankenstein's Monster (62.2% and 37.8%). Stream 'Cry Wolf' on Spotify.
Oscar the Grouch's cousin Moishe is definitely pleased with the results here, with the Muppet ranking in 58.3% of the vote against Jake the Dog's 41.7% (134 to 96).

Guess I'll also rank all the Glee Christmas songs
I blame you, @thnxforknowingme. Although, I will switch it up a bit. First off, I am sober, second off, I am completely fucking ignoring Previously Unaired Christmas' songs (except for one) cause that entire episode is dead to me, and third off, I do want to rank the album ones as well cause I always listen to the albums.
I am also vaguely ranking them on song choice, quality of the performance, and simply whether I like it. This is very unprofessional and biased. It might not make sense.
Let's start with the two separate songs, that fall outside of the ranking.
Hounourable mention: Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah - Glee, Actually
I also think it should kind of be its own thing, since it's not a Christmas song. It is catchy, though, and Puck and Jake sound great together. And it's nice of the show to acknowledge that there are characters who do not celebrate Christmas (looking at you, Rachel!) (I mean, Tina is also canonically Jewish, but she was never positioned as the big Christmas lover, like Rachel).
(Dis?)Honourable mention: Rocking Around the Christmas Tree - Previously Unaired Crisis
Aka, the only PUC song that I willingly listen. It's not the best song, but it is fun enough.
And now, the ranking:
35. River - Extraordinary Merry Christmas
Boring. The only song that is basically an instant skip for me. It isn't even on my Glee Christmas Spotify playlist. I don't know why. It just doesn't do it for me. Even when I first heard it at the episode's FLF, it just felt like a big pot of meh. Add this to a storyline of Rachel just... showing off... and it's not my thing. Like, I know I shouldn't care about the storylines for these episodes, since it's all about album sales at the end of the day, but it doesn't make it any better.
34. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - A Very Glee Christmas (album)
This song is just kind of weird? But it's also just fine. I do like hearing everyone sing on this one. And is this the only time Dianna appears on the album?
33. Merry Christmas, Darling - AVGC
Huh. It almost seems like I have a vendetta against Rachel Christmas ballads. It's just also a bit meh to me and to be honest, I can't take it seriously cause I keep playing the SIMGM Finchel break-up scene in my head while listening to me. ("You said you'd never stop being friends with me!!!!" "I never thought you could make me feel like this." "NOOOOOO-" "Hey, town down the autotune." "Oh. Sorry. Nooooo.")
32. I'll Be Home For Christmas - Glee, Actually (album)
Yeah. My vendetta continues. I actually didn't realise it until this moment. I like it. It's just fine. But that's it. It's just fine.
31. O Christmas Tree - AVGC (album)
Same here. It's just fine. Matt sounds great, but there isn't much to say.
30. Do You Hear What I Hear - EMC (album)
And same here. Look, we've reached the section of "fine, just fine" songs. I am ranking them mostly on how much I like the voices at this point, cause at the end of the day, all are just fine.
29. Blue Christmas - EMC
Also just fine. This does that the benefit of having a touchy storyline attached to it.
28. The First Noel - Glee, Actually
Same here. Fine. Melissa sounds fine.
27. Do They Know It's Christmas - EMC
I am a sucker of group numbers and it sounds great, but yeah, the song itself is kind of questionable. I agree with Jenna that it's very white saviourism. As if people in Africa don't know the concept of Christmas exists.
26. You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch - AVGC
k.d. lang sings this as a special guest and it's never acknowledged it the episode. I don't have much to say, but I just find it genuinely funny and it fits the whole Sue the Grinch vibe.
25. Last Christmas - AVGC
This song fits the storyline but for inside-joke reasons, I cannot take any version of this song seriously. But it sounds nice and Lea and Cory sound great.
24. Joy To The World - Glee, Actually (album)
Another song that's just nice to listen to. It's better than the "just fine" category, but this one (and the next two) are also just in the same category of "I like listening to it, it's good, that's all I gotta say".
23. Little Drummer Boy - AVGC (album)
I just like Kevin's voice.
22. Angels Have We Heard On High - AVGC (album)
And I like Amber's voice the most!
21. The Most Wonderful Day of the Year - AVGC
It's a nice opener. I think from all the openers, it's my least favourite, but it's just fun. I do prefer to listen to the episode version, mainly because I think Dianna sounds great in it. Like, I obviously also love Chris's voice, but Dianna's little additions are adorable.
20. My Favourite Things - EMC
Look, Glee made it a Christmas song, now. It's just very cute.
19. White Christmas - Glee, Actually
Yeah. Here is my big unpopular opinion. White Christmas just feels fine. The main reason it's not lower is because I am a Klainer 12. I think this duet just feels a bit unbalanced, as in, it's mostly Darren, so it's not really a duet. I do like the jazzy sound, but it's just nice.
18. Christmas Eve With You - EMC (album)
Yes, they wrote another original song that year. Honestly, this one is surprisingly good. Can't believe it made me care about Wemma for once, but Matt and Jayma sound really good together.
17. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - Glee, Actually
It does work in the story! That's the main reason I like it. It wraps up everything nicely. But apart from that, it's also just nice to listen to. It's really soothing.
16. Welcome Christmas - AVGC
Same for this one. It sounds nice. The chorus is great. That's it. Also, this song isn't on the album!
15. We Need A Little Christmas - AVGC
This one just makes me very happy. I also just dance along like they did in the episode. It is funny to me.
14. O Holy Night - AVGC (album), Swan Song
The triumphant return of the Rachel solo. Questionable storyline aside, I actually think Lea sounds really good here. It feels like this was the emotion she was aiming for with the other ballads. (But also... Rachel, you're Jewish.)
13. Happy Xmas (War Is Over) - Glee, Actually (album)
Ah. Cory's solo. After he died, this passed around with people freaking out about a "hidden Cory solo!", but no, it was just always on the album. He sounds really lovely here, together with the chorus in the back.
12. Santa Baby - EMC (album, cut from episode)
Naya sounds great and God, I wish they had kept it in, cause the performance is really well done as well.
11. Jingle Bells - AVGC (album)
Look, this is just a lot of fucking fun. I am a bitch for upbeat songs and this is just a bop. Like, the glee ladies had that dreadful ballad on this album, but the guys got to party.
10. Jingle Bell Rock - Glee, Actually
I just like this song in general and Chord sounds fun. The accompanying storyline was... weird, though, but it's season 4, everything was weird here.
9. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town - EMC
Sure. Why not. I like how Cory and Mark sound together and I really like the instrumentals of this song as well.
8. Let It Snow - EMC
This is just a lot of fun. Darren and Chris sound great on it and there's the nice instrumental and it's just jolly! And of course, I am a Klainer 12.
7. Christmas Wrapping - EMC
I unironically adore this song. Like, it objectively isn't the best song, which is partially because Hemo was never the strongest singer in the cast, but for some reason this one is really doing it for me.
6. Feliz Navidad - Glee, Actually
I am a sucker for Kevin's voice. It's weird. I know. But I think you need to see it as an intentional goofy thing. I always want to dance along to this one.
5. Extraordinary Merry Christmas - EMC
I vaguely recall Darren saying he dislikes this song, but I disagree. It's fun, it's upbeat, but it also doesn't sound like some trashy pop Christmas song (in my opinion) and Lea and Darren sound great together.
Now it's getting difficult. These four are just amazing.
4. Silent Night - Glee, Actually (album)
This is my favourite song of this album. I just remember being moved when I first heard it and that feeling has always sticked. I am usually not the person who likes ballads. I like the upbeat stuff more, which might've become apparent in this list, but this one just got me in the feels for some reason.
3. Deck the Rooftop - AVGC (album)
A mash-up! It's just a really good mash-up and it sounds like everyone is having fun while singing it. I think this is my underappreciated gem.
2. All I Want For Christmas - EMC
This song was made for Amber. She sounds so fucking good in it. It's also a great opener (even though we know it was supposed to be the closing number).
Baby, It's Cold Outside - AVGC
Come on. I am a Klainer 12, after all. But I think even without the Klainer aspect, this is just a really good cover, which is probably why stores still play it. And honestly, it's ballsy to have two men sing this universally known love song in 2010. They sound so good together, too.

Okay guys, so I was thinking about it.
Since 2016-ish, I've watched the entirety of Glee once for the podcast. Once in the order of how I had my rankings. And then have been watching it along with my retrospective.
I did end up watching all of Season 2 when I was sick last year.
But that's about it.
It's been years since I've seen some of the episodes. I'm kind of thinking about watching the full show again before I jump back into the retrospective.
idk.

this morning i decided to rank every episode in which blaine appears or is mentioned by the merit of their blaine content. because, i don't know, i'm very neurodivergent or something. so here is, in my opinion, the best to worst blaine episodes:
1. 3x15 “Big Brother”: has a micro celebrity older brother, gets very upset about everyone pointing at him, skips skip day, gets a stuffed animal from his boyfriend, doesn’t feel good enough with his brother around, and reconciles
2. 5x07 “Puppet Master”: has an autistic meltdown, gets gas poisoning, imagines everybody loves him, wants to share his core wounds, gives jake strange advice, steals, and sends puppets to new york city
3. 4x07 “Dynamic Duets”: creates a superhero alter ego, meets evil warbler #2, does autistic stuff, and wants to stop feeling like he’s a bad person
4. 2x12 “Silly Love Songs”: makes a fool out of kurt accidentally, makes a fool out of himself in a gap, becomes a part of a ‘when harry met sally’ situationship, and sings two solos
5. 4x03 “Makeover”: becomes a huge nerd and the president, makes a friend, lies to artie, and realizes he is sad and alone
6. 2x20 “Prom Queen”: delivers part three of his traumatic backstory, is very afraid, makes his solo story relevant, and saves the prom!
7. 4x17 “Guilty Pleasures”: likes wham, is a swiftie in the alternate universe of the promo, sings sam a strangely emotional song, and sam is not homophobic to him
8. 3x17 “Dance with Somebody”: tells everybody that it’s not right but it’s okay, doesn’t want to talk about new york, and has weirdly tan hands
9. 2x16 “Original Song”: forms blaine and the pips, ignores mourning a bird in favor of love, conceives of the worst duet idea of all time, gains +1 boyfriend, and sings two solos
10. 2x06 “Never Been Kissed”: shifts the tectonic plates by making his first appearance, sings teenage dream, delivers part one of his traumatic backstory, and thinks that karofsky isn’t coming out anytime soon
11. 4x16 “Feud”: has cement hair, has his identity stolen, is on the bottom, and is forced to join the cheerios again by nicki minaj
12. 6x07 “Transitioning”: gets hit with some eggs, has a serious case of heart eyes, and cheats but in a cool way this time
13. 5x14 “New New York”: cheers up sam, becomes elliott’s facebook friend, has a good talk with kurt, and moves in with mercedes
14. 3x05 “The First Time”: gets virgin shamed, canonically masturbates, meets evil warbler #1, makes out with kurt hummel drunk, and has sex

20. 5x16 “Tested”: has body image issues, watches porn, admits that he’s scared kurt will stop loving him, and is misinterpreted by the entire fandom
21. 4x04 “The Break Up”: screams, cries, throws up, sobs, falls to his knees,
22. 2x09 “Special Education”: helps kurt out at his new school, doesn’t audition for the solo at sectionals, sings the solo at sectionals, gives kurt bird advice

64. 4x13 “Diva”: points for him being a guy diva, singing don’t stop me now, being cute when he’s sick, being gay, and liking asian representation, but a huge subtraction for the non consensual touching from tina and him apologizing to her at the end

how would you rank the anime you've ever watched? i'm looking for recommendations.
I know I talk about anime here from time to time, but I'm not a true anime fan, anon. Unfortunately, I have have misled you. I get attached to certain series for very specific reasons that not even I can predict until I'm twenty episodes in and thinking, "hey, this reminds me of____(insert disparate yet beloved piece of media here)." I also love shows that remind my of my IRL job in some way...which is weird to say, but yeah, I love watching shows and thinking, "wow, I could encounter this at my day job." I feel right at home lmao.
Anyhow, that's all to say that I don't deliberately set out to find new anime the way I keep up with indie movies and shorts. I'm a film bro, but I'm not an anime bro (idk what the correct term for avid anime/manga fans are). I watch shows that are getting buzz that also seem to align with my interests. I'm following three series at the moment.
I'd say right now, my favorite series alternate between My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer. A lot of this is due to nostalgia. I grew up reading and watching a lot of epic stories and series - Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, Redwall. I love long journeys, big adventures and battles. As an adult, I latched on to Game of Thrones, but who knows when George is finishing that. So these scratch that itch. I also want to credit both of these series for introducing me to a new genre of guy that I'm obsessed with: the good guy who acts like a villain (though I knew they were good all along, and right about everything...or nearly everything) but is anything but. Oh, so you think he's Satan incarnate? You think he's too mean? You hate him? That he's going to turn to the dark side? Wrong! On the contrary, he's so completely committed to the side of good, so unshakeable in his convictions, so genuinely kind and genuine inside that you are stuck with him and all his neuroses on the good side. No mystery here. Sorry not sorry. Anyhow, I love this genre of guy. After years of dealing with Murdoc, it's very refreshing.
I'm also watch Chainsaw Man. I like it so far, but it hasn't quite clicked yet and not even I know why. It technically has everything I'd want on paper - kind of spooky, some off-color humor, creator is a film bro who likes a lot of the same movies I do, promised character death/stakes. My chosen guy from this series is Aki, but I'm just whelmed so far despite having high hopes in the beginning. He's not really inspiring anything yet. I haven't even cast him in a Glee AU or musical (a rite of passage for all blorbos). Idk. But it's a series that's getting a lot of hype right now, so I still have high hopes. I do appreciate the risks it takes with the story structure. I want to name a future dog Pochita.
Anyhow, that's all I got lmao.
