1/3 Hey, I just saw that anon ask about Sam you got earlier and can I just say how sad that made me? I stopped watching Supernatural about 3 seasons ago and that had a lot of reasons but the plot for me was one of the big ones to finally let that show go, but in all of it I never stopped loving Sam Winchester.

2/3 I’ve been a Sam girl from season 1 on and at one point, I think it was season 5 or 6, I remember looking back at the show and feeling so so bad for Sam because in that moment I realized that if somebody had to go through the really bad stuff, he was the one the writers decided to let suffer. I know both brothers went through a lot of painful experiences, but it was always Sam who was hurt the most and worst and often simply to bring the plot ahead.

3/3 And to see now, from people who love Sam just as much and are still watching the show, that seeminly nothing has changed and that Sam still at times is writen more like a side character by the writers, when he’s supposed to be a main just like Dean…It sucks. So yes, Jared and Sam honestly deserve better.

Hello and thanks for the message! *sends hugs if that’s okay* Gah, I feel like regardless of whether we’re still watching the show, we Sam fans are in this state of perpetual mourning for the character we’ve lost, even though he’s still there in name.

When it comes to suffering, I know both brothers have been through a lot. (And…. *raises trembling hand* I am the awkward person who kinda likes when my faves go through tough times, so you won’t see me complaining about seasons 1-2 or seasons 7 and 8. :D) The thing that bothers me, in the end, is the way the show allows (or doesn’t allow) them to respond to their experiences. There’s a pattern lately of putting Sam through horrible things and then, once he’s done being a Reason to Fight™ or a Call to Action™ or a Voice of Reason™ or a Good Human™, he’s put on a shelf until the next time the plot calls for him to exist.

And maybe I’m overstating that. I’m 100% sure that my declining view of the show is making me put a darker spin on the things I see than I otherwise might. As so many of us are, I’m just tired. It’s hard to find the bright spots, even though they’re plentiful if I really dig in and look for them.

I know this is a really unpopular opinion with a lot of people, but I am ready for the show to end. I was ready for it to end quite a while ago, if I’m honest. It would have been nice if it had ended before it shed everything that made it appealing to me, but *shrugs* a girl can’t have everything, I suppose.

This year...has been a year.

I know I'm not the only one who used this app as a outlet during quarantine. After I watched Outerbanks in one day, I logged on here, and wrote an fanfic for the first time in three years.

I am back at work, trying to live through everything that's coming my way when it's not fucking asked, and I badly miss the days that I spent on this app talking to you all about everything and anything.

I have some pretty amazing mutuals. Even if we don't talk, I still see you in my notifications and dashboard.

I hope I write more soon, like old times sake, even if it was a couple of months ago.

I honestly can't say thank you enough for helping me get through this crazy year, especially if you didn't even notice since we're not face to face (mask to mask).

I’d find out about JATP and become a fan, no doubt; a latinx lead singer? three cute boys? sign me up. And maybe after one performance I’m like “yeah holograms my ass” so I go detective mode and find out they’re ghost immediately going “COOL!!!” (i’m mexican, is a very pro-ghost culture) and promise I won’t tell BUT they need to get it together or more people are going to catch up.

I become part of the jatp team! I’m very good at managing social media/ designing stuff and help Flynn set up accounts, maybe a website for the band and start making merch. When I find out that basically no one knows what’s up with the “magic” stuff I’d go “you haven’t done research???” and proceed to look up stuff about ghosts/ locating the boys’ families/ shutting off Sunset Curve rumors and conspiracies. Sounds boring but hey no plot holes that way. I’d get along with everyone but specially Alex, also I’d 100% have a huge crush on Luke, but he likes Julie so I’d be a classic case of unrequited love *plays Heather by Conan Gray*
