hi hello hey, ive done a drawing... you know... you know that feeling when... um that feeling when you are... when your hands are too busy -um- stretching to hold your guitar pick... so um you... so you use your tongue.
i listened to the newest episode, and have emotions about decisions that have been made for my blorbos. have this unrelated Salior Moon re-draw feat: Jodie and Glenn.
spoilers DNDADS: S2 E10 some glangst for yall kinda out of left field. i know i have done the whole "glenn offering showing up to be a person to lean on right after Nicky decided to leave the Swifts" before, but like, i just pt together that Glenn would 100% offer a joint to Nicky in that moment right. like as a narrative parallel to the original nat20 joint that was left in the mailbox. Glenn's not going to clock it in the moment, he's just going to see his kid again, Nicky clearly too sore to cry, he' sit beside the other ex-dad. look off at the sky trying to find something to say, he'll realize there's nothing to say. no advice for this that wouln't feel hollow. the both of them wont talk for a moment, like they always did, like if they just didnt speak about the grief it wouldn't be real. then Glenn would remember, patting his pockets a moment to find the rollup, holding it out to the other man almost sheepishly. almost embarrassed to be offering up the easiest solution again, but knowing it's the only solution he ever really had. i don't know if Nicky would take it, if the moment would remind him of that last simple day waiting for a van in a front yard that doesn't exist anymore. if the idea of finally finishing a joint, with the man who lost the right to raise him would be hopeful or condemning in his mind. but i do know the idea makes me really sad... so now you can feel that to.... sorry......
I want you to imagine for a second that you're a 13 year old boy, and you have a like cop dad you idolize. One day he sits you down and he's like "the world is a dangerous place and I know you can handle yourself but things are scary and I trust you to be responsible so here is a flashbang."
how fucking psyched out of your mind would you be? Imagine the eye-sparkle-slack-jaw-joy of getting this live round gently placed in you hands. Imagine endless youtube videos about how to use one properly, and the designated flashbang pocket built into every outfit.
Consider the pure willpower it took not to use it. The moment Nicholas had it in his hand there was a voice in the back of his head saying "come on kid, you want to play with this state-sanctioned-firework. It would be so rad!" There are endless reasons a 13 year old might use a flash bang:
just to make sure it works.
To test if I know how to use one properly
I'm bored and there's not adults around
Pranks
This bully has finally gotten on my last nerve
I'm 13 and get -52 on all charisma rolls but desperately want to impress this person but maybe I can let them know I'm like a cool undercover agent with weapons and everything.
I got kidnapped and sold into slavery.
I'm in an illegal child fighting ring and need an advantage.
I've been trapped in a Castle and we are going to make a break for it.
Lark and Sparrow are terrorizing me.
We're in the middle of a prison riot and I don't know where my adult is.
Nicholas looked at all of this and said "no, with great power comes great responsibility. My dad trusted me with this important duty and I'm not going to use it until I Know I really need to." And finally he finds the moment where it's go-time. Things are bizarre, and his family needs to get away, and he pulls out the thing he has coveted getting to use for months. And even asks in code so his partner can know what's going to happen without letting the *bad guys* in on official police business. A model officer following responsible guidelines and getting the sweet reward of finally using this thing he's dreamed of using. And what does Jodie do?
He Fucking TAKES BACK the flash bang and uses it HIMSELF!!!!!!!!!!! 0outa10 worst dad ever. I canott believe that absolute GAUL it takes to do that to a kid you claim to love
Glenn would of let Nick throw any explosives they came in contact with and if that's wrong I don't want to be right.
