youre completely right and i have. so many issues. with the latter. i didnt even bother to mention the hordak fans who want catra to suffer because i dont want to indulge that subset. i think the entrapdak fans who dismiss the rest of the show are a bigger issue, because they encompass more people. at least most people get that hordak is, bare minimum, in the same boat as catra.

the show-hating glimmadoras are also a really tiny, really loud subset of weirdos. i see one of them show up every six months and it's a stream of posts that at first are innocuously pro-glimmadora, and then in comes the fountain of catra hate and bow-phobia. then i block that person and i am happy and ignorant for the next six months.

while the former group is usually older people, in their fourties, the latter group is teenagers. often under 17. it's insane what demographics she-ra reaches!

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power: Glimmer - Type 8w7

Glimmer is courageous, impulsive and caring. Glimmer really wants to fight for the Rebellion so that she can protect her home in Bright Moon.

At her best, Glimmer becomes less impulsive and more mindful of the consequences of her actions. She is a very loyal and supportive friend, as we see through her friendships with Adora, Bow and even Catra later.

At her worst, Glimmer can act without thinking of the consequences, leading to problems for the Rebellion and the rest of Etheria. For example, she goes against the wishes of Adora and the others to activate the Heart of Etheria because she thinks that it will destroy the Horde permanently.

8s do not want to be seen as weak or powerless, and we can see this clearly in Glimmer’s personality. She desperately wants to be taken seriously by her mother Angella and hates that Angella tries to shelter her from the world. Glimmer worries that people think she is a weak princess and wants to prove these assumptions wrong.

She often clashes with Angella, as she is much more active and reckless than her mother. In the early seasons, Glimmer would often rebel against her mother’s wishes because she wanted to fight for the Rebellion. Angella was deathly afraid of anything bad happening to her daughter because she had lost Micah, leading to her chastising Glimmer for her reckless behaviour.

Glimmer wants to protect Bright Moon and is integral in re-establishing the Rebellion. She is a great leader and will make the difficult decisions when it is necessary. She is very protective of her friends and will do anything for them, even if it results in negative consequences for herself. For example, when Adora was about to get her mind erased by Shadow Weaver, Glimmer persevered in teleporting and saved Adora from Shadow Weaver. However, this resulted in her powers glitching, showing that she is very selfless at her core.

Glimmer often clashes with Adora when making decisions for the group, as both want to be the leader. This leads to tension between the two of them, as they have very different ways of approaching situations. Double Trouble is also able to recognise this and use it to distract Adora and Glimmer for the Horde.

Glimmer’s relationship with Bow shows some of her best and worst traits. Sometimes, Glimmer can be a bit self-absorbed and neglect Bow’s feelings. However, she would also do anything for Bow and tries very hard to repair their relationship in s5. Bow is also able to balance her out and keep her calm.

Glimmer shows her 7 wing as she is more impulsive than an 8w9 would be. She is also more playful due to the influence of her 7 wing.

She-Ra Season 1 is basically just a massive teenage drama about two girls, the (oblivious jock and the edgy goth), and their burgeoning, conflicted feelings towards each other.

The aftermath of that confusion and inability to talk about their feelings only serves for the goth girl to lash out, adding more hurt and confusion to the already tense situation, pushing both of them further down the path of denial.

This is all triggered when the oblivious jock, recently transferring to a college in a different part of town, meets some cool new hipster friends and starts representing her new school in events.

Having been in foster care together since childhood and attending school together, they promised each other they would graduate together, Oblivious Jock transferring, breaks that promise, though she offers Edgy Goth girl to transfer too, Edgy Goth understands that the Scholarship Program at the new University wont be offered to her and cover her education.

Edgy Goth girl feeling betrayed and jealous, steps up to take over the Oblivious Jock’s captaincy in the teams her BFF left behind, and finds out she’s actually kind of good at sports, and begins to excel, eventually coming to the attention of the University President, who offers Edgy Goth girl to start her own Society, much to the annoyance of the University Dean, who still deems her unworthy of being the University poster child, still wishing that perfect allround Oblivious Jock will transfer back.

Attends an Inter-University SU Ball, Goth girl tries to make Oblivious Jock/BFF jealous.

During inter varsity shenanigans, Edgy Goth girl successfully recruits the President of the Engineering and Robotics club, and all round resident genius to transfer to her college.

Inter-varsity head butting. Goth girl cheats by stealing the opposing teams play book. More hurt feelings and confusion leading both girls to believe the other doesnt care for them at all. Oblivious Jock still hopeful they can patch things up in the future. Edgy Goth girl and her new friends, resident genius and sweet cinnamon roll, get a new sorority house.

Oblivious Jock also has feelings for rich, cute badass punk girl, and team mate who just so happens to be part of the aristocracy.

Season 2

Goes backpacking during the summer with her new bff’s, President of the Archery Club, Captain of the Swim Team, her bf who is the Captain of the Sailing Club and the hippie girl who is President of the Horticultural Society and only crushes on her cause the Oblivious Jock is the Star of the schools sports teams.

Badass Punk girl decides they should visit the countries of the old friends of her mother and other members of the aristocracy.

Edgy Goth girl and her new bffs also decide to go back packing for the summer. The two groups keep bumping into each other in random places only serving to increase the tension between Oblivious Jock and Edgy Goth, and further confuse them both, in some cases resulting in out right hostility.
