A ferret bard stands in front of a tavern full of drunks and weary travelers, trying to keep order and tell one final story about a great quest with legendary heroes. It was looking like the end of the age of magic, when she and the last great adventurer were called upon by a noble with a plan to restore the world that was. They knew it would be difficult, they knew it ran the risk of great loss, but they could make everything right again if they could pull it off...and if they truly believed the past deserved another chance. This is a story about loss, new life, and the dangers of populist nostalgia, inspired by life in the Rust Belt.
