Talking about those two specifically aaaaaa gosh… I have this ask from Gray where I put down a bunch of headcanons for them, both sfw and nsfw! And anything I reblog/post that’s about them or makes me think of them gets tagged with #flos ira (<- was too shy to just straight up use dolasatan so I made a tag for it in what’s likely grammatically incorrect Latin)

Whenever I write them alone they’re usually pretty playful with each other if they’re not working on anything? And for some reason I just decided that the littlest things can get them going… Like Satan watching Dola put on some lip balm before bed a little too closely >.> Might post that thing if I ever get to editing it, but idk… I’m awful at writing out smut >.>

Lately the DolaSatan brainrot’s been about both the sfw and nsfw parts of like… Learning how to be in a relationship? Like how they navigate dealing with Satan’s anger, or how Dola learns to let herself be vulnerable around him. This morning I was thinking about Dola getting her first glimpse at Satan’s feelings regarding having never been an angel—like she knew that he was born the same day Lilith died, but it never truly clicked that that meant that Satan’s only been a demon, and didn’t have the same history the rest of the brothers did with each other. (This was definitely spurred on by Erin’s angel wings post like sdgfsdjhsgdjf oh my god less than 10 minutes after waking up I was crying in bed I—)

The scene in my head was this: the demon brothers + Dola are all at Diavolo’s private beach. Is it the same as the first beach event? Who knows. But the first night they’re there, the six youngest of the seven are out on the shore, excitedly pointing at the night sky. The stars are different tonight; it seems that the constellations aren’t of the Devildom’s but of the human world’s, and the brothers—the twins especially—happily show off their surprisingly extensive knowledge of the art in the cosmos.

Dola hears names she hadn’t heard them mention before—Michael, Raphael, Uriel, Gabriel, and more. It wasn’t hard to guess that they were the names of angels they knew in the Celestial Realm, some having taught them all about the stories behind each little drawing in the sky. Lucifer confirms as much when he appears next to her, watching his brothers fondly. There was a twinge of something she couldn’t quite place in his expression, but knowing his history with the Celestial Realm, she decides to stay quiet. The others may still be able to reminisce fondly of their days as angels, but Lucifer had his reasons for not sharing the same feelings, and the lack of a third pair of wings when she’d heard he originally had six was proof of that.

She looks to the others again and sees that whatever excitement Satan had earlier had faded, replaced with what was clearly a mask portraying mild interest as he listens to his brothers. Dola watches him, concerned, when Lucifer speaks up again.

‘Satan must be bored,’ he muses. ‘He’s learned everything there is to learn about your realm’s stars from his books. My brothers rehashing everything from what they learned as fledglings must be tedious to have to listen to.’

Dola looks up at him, confused. ‘I suppose so,’ she agrees. Why wouldn’t she when it was clear on his face that he’d rather not be there anymore? So she takes out her DDD and sends him a text, offering whatever she could that sounded interesting to bail him out of there.

His face lights up when he sees that he’d gotten a text from her. Without making his eagerness to leave too obvious, he excuses himself and returns to Dola—but not without raising a suspicious brow at Lucifer as they enter their rented home. Lucifer just watches them go, sighing in relief.

Dola doesn’t think much of what Lucifer said or of Satan’s sudden disinterest in his brothers’ excitement, though both things did tell her that something was off—normally Satan would’ve taken the chance to teach his brothers what he knew, wouldn’t he? And between all six of them, only Belphie could really match his knowledge when it came to the stars… But even then, he’d still contribute. In bed she asks him if he was okay and as expected, he says he’s fine.

‘Why do you ask?’

‘No reason, I just thought you seemed a little off earlier. I must’ve overthought it.’

Satan smiles at her, but it was only half as genuine as he’d liked. He reassures her that he’s alright, just tired from the day. Dola doesn’t quite buy it, but lets it slide, thinking it either truly was nothing or that he simply wasn’t ready to talk about it yet. She kisses him goodnight and holds him a little tighter tonight before drifting off to sleep.

But somehow she wakes up alone in bed. It’s ten past midnight and Satan wasn’t anywhere in the room. She figures he left for the bathroom when something outside catches her eye. From the window she sees a familiar figure sitting alone on the shore, looking up at the sky. Dola presses a hand to the glass and watches him for a few moments more. How did he manage to leave without waking her up? How long has he been there?

Those questions can be asked later, she thought. She quickly gets up and pulls on a jacket—one of his that he’d brought knowing that the Devildom seaside would be uncomfortable cold for her—before quietly making her way past the others’ bedrooms, down the stairs, and out the door. She approaches him, purposely making enough noise to let him know she’s near. He doesn’t turn around.

‘Satan?’ she calls out to him. Despite the silence, she takes a seat next to him. She brushes her hand against his, the weight of the worry in her chest lifting ever so slightly when he intertwined their fingers. The crashing of the waves onto the shore was the only thing filling the silence. She draws little patterns on the back of his hand with her thumb.

Minutes pass without a single word exchanged before he spoke up.

‘What did Lucifer tell you earlier?’ he asks. He turns at her, expectant.

‘All he told me was that you must be bored listening to your brothers talk about the human world’s stars,’ she answers. She meets his eyes and see the beginnings of a fire calming down.

‘I see…’

She gives his hand a light squeeze. What did he assume he told her? ‘Satan, my love, what’s wrong?’

He blinks—hesitant, unsure. But takes a deep breath before facing the sea.

‘My brothers,’ he began, sighing. ‘They were all angels. Each one of them spent eons with each other and other angels in the Celestial Realm where it’s eternally day.

Some angels who’d been to the human world caught sight of what the night looked like, but they couldn’t stay to admire the dark beauty of it. Angels weren’t allowed to linger for long up there which only fueled their curiosity… Especially their curiosity of the twinkling, distant stars in the night sky.’

Satan’s brow furrows as he speaks, his gaze now down to the sand between his feet. ‘So Michael, the Archangel, once Lucifer’s closest companion among the Seraph, had a planetarium built near the palace. It bore the same constellations as your world, and Michael himself taught every curious angel what each star was and what each constellation meant. He taught my brothers everything they knew about your sky.’ He pauses to turn to Dola, who’d been watching him as he spoke. He’d been trying to remain composed but his eyes betrayed him—she sees hints of longing, of frustration that he’s fighting to push back.

Finally, it clicks. And it makes her heart ache.

‘I only know all this because my brothers have told me about it,’ Satan explains. He takes a brief, deep breath. ‘I was a part of Lucifer even during his time as an angel, yet I can only remember mere fragments of that part of my existence. Nothing clear enough to make heads or tails of, not even enough to know what Michael’s lessons were like, or even what my own brothers were like.

It’s like I was never there,’ he said, his eyes swirling with emotion. ‘Like only Lucifer existed despite me knowing that I was seeing the world through his eyes.’ He lets go of Dola’s hand to dig his fingers into the sand, his frustration finally reaching the surface. She gently calls his name as she begins to rub circles on his back, calming him down enough for him to take in a few deep breaths. Satan reaches for her once most of the tension left his body, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close. Her warmth comforted him, and reminded him that there was someone he could confide in—despite his earlier frustration, just having been able to finally tell someone all this and listen made his heart feel even just a little bit lighter.

Dola rests her head on his shoulder, her arm naturally snaking around his waist. It’s only when his breathing had fully calmed that she spoke again.

‘Do you wish you could remember everything?’ she gently asked, lifting her head up to look at him. ‘That his memories that stayed with you were clearer?’

‘Despite everything, no,’ he answered. ‘The earliest memory I can vividly recall was my creation, and to me that establishes the biggest difference between me and Lucifer.

That while he was once the most beloved of angels, I have only been a demon.’

Erin: Alright. Whatever you're gonna do, do it fast.

And excuse me but this? Is such a great dynamic! We know they have a complicated history but between the way they've managed to work together since then, the way Aaron and Derek got her to admit and to deal with her alcoholism, Dave's own brand of headbutting and the SLIGHT fact that they were in a hotel together the night before? I'm in for this polyship, people. I just am.

Star Spangled Flash Bingo

Wohoo this is our first flash bingo and it will run from January 18th to April 18th - we might do another after that depending on the success of this one and how our schedules look by then. Consider this a trial for both you guys and us.

Let’s get some questions out of the way first:

Can I sign up for the flash bingo if I haven’t signed up for a full card?

Yes you absolutely can. Just like you can sign up for this one as well as the other.

Can fill a square from my regular card and one with this one with the same fic?

Yes if you double the acquired wordcount. The same goes for every other media. Just double the minimum and you’re good.

Will we receive a badge for blacking out a flash card?

You betcha

Can I sign up for more than one flash bingo card?

Afraid not. Not this first time around at least. You have to pick one and commit to it. HOWEVER if you finish long before the flash is over and contact us via ask we might be able to let you sign up for a second flash card ;)

General rules for the Bingo is the same as for the main bingo but let’s repeat them shall we:

Purpose of the Bingo

The focus is still the three caps but each card comes with a few challenges on its own. Scroll down to find a link to the cards and the rules for each.

All Bingo cards are SFW as a rule but that doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to write smut if you are over the age of 18. We just want to give every writer a chance to participate no matter if they write smut or not (hey that rhymed).

Restrictions

- No abusive ships are allowed. Some ships like Winteriron can be abusive if you focus on the negative but can also be based on healing, therefore they are a grey zone and fall under think about what you write, if you chose a pairing such as that one. Shipping Bucky with Rumlow will always be abusive and as a rule no villains shipped with heroes allowed. (Loki might be an exception cause he is a grey character, just think before you write with him too).

-No pairing an adult with an underage character. No aging up or down. This goes for side pairings as well so no Starker!

- No incest - that goes for Thorki as a sidepairing as well. Adopted or not they grew up as brothers.

- No non/dub con are allowed either.

- You can’t write smut if you are under the age of 18. If we catch you doing so you will be blocked from the bingo page and banned for participating.

- You can’t write smut if you are under 18. Everyone can write fluff, angst, crack, etc.

Formats and requirements

- Fics must state what square you fill, warnings, word count and pairing - if no pairing just write general (check the format page for ideas on how to format your post)

- Social Media AUs, Aesthetics, Edits, Fanart, Fanvids, podfics must have square filled, pairing and if needed warnings.

- Everything you post as a fill must be original and new content - or if you read someone’s fic as a podfic explicit consent from the author must have been given and they have to be credited on your post.

- Fics must have a minimum of 250 words - fics over 500 must have a keep reading to be reblogged.

- Use common sense for when posting artworks into long posts. They might need a cut too.

- Aesthetics have a 4 picture minimum and preferably accompanied by a 100-word description or drabble - words are not a must

- Gifsets has a 6 picture minimum.

- One piece of fanart in form of a drawing by hand or a computer program is considered a fill.

- Social media Aus must be a min of 6 pictures.

- Podfics must be a min of 3 min.

- Fanvids must be a min of 30 sec.

- All content can be added via link not to an original Tumblr post if you so choose as long as there is a Tumblr post with the format requirements we can reblog and the Tumblr post must be linked too on the masterlist you create when your card is filled.

- IF WE FORGOT YOUR TYPE OF ARTWORK SEND US AN ASK AND WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO WORK SOMETHING OUT - we are pretty open to all types of creative outlets but it’s hard to put restrictions of stuff we don’t know or know very little about.

- One square per fic/artwork. If you write a series each chapter can be considered a fill or the entire series can be a fill if you so choose. No combining squares within the bingo.

- You are free to combine our bingo with another bingo with no additional requirements added from our end. Just make sure you follow the other bingos rules too.

- If you combine with our main bingo though we ask you double the minimum requirement of your chosen media for it to count as a fill for both. Otherwise we will ask you to choose.

- Warn accordingly. If warnings are spoilers put them in the tags and tell people to check your tags for additional warnings on the post.

- You don’t have to use the same media for the entire card. You can have 3 fics and 1 vid and the rest fics fx.

- Tag us @star-spangled-bingo and make clear the fic is for SSB SPRING FLASH 2021 and use the #SSB Spring Flash2021 on each square you fill.

Sanctions for breaking the rules

- If your post lacks a keep reading we won’t reblog it but it will still count as a fill.

- If you don’t tag us we can’t reblog you and if you don’t say it’s for SSB2020 in your header we won’t count it as a fill until you edited it into the post. This seems strict but we got 2019 floating and it is impossible to know which card what is for if you don’t mark it down for us.

- If your fill fail to meet the minimum requirements your fill will be reblogged but won’t count as a fill unless you add to it to meet the minimum.

- If your post doesn’t clearly show square filled, we won’t reblog it and it won’t count as a fill until you edited it in.

- If we discover you write smut and are under 18 - you will be blocked from the bingo blog and banned from participating in the bingo in the future even when you reach the age of 18.

- If you break this rule: No abusive ships are allowed. No pairing an adult with an underage character. No aging up or down. No incest and no glorification of non/dub con are allowed either. All of these go for side pairing also so no Thorki and Starker. Your post won’t count as a fill, nor will it be reblogged. You’ll get a reminder of our rules the first time you break it and the second you will be banned from the bingo.

Do you do general headcanons? Because I'd like to propose The Office!au shenanigans ft. your choice of volleyball idiots from each team. In return you shall receive my eternal gratitude and several excited kaomojis. Knock yourself out I believe in youuu

even though these aren’t done at all, i decided to post what i have and make this a WIP post. so whenever i get more ideas for it, i’ll edit it and reblog it so you’ll know!

i don’t know exactly how i would write the characters doing shenanigans from the office without me just like… switching out character names in the script from the show, so i stuck with casting. and if anyone likes this enough to use for any edits or incorrect quotes or something, feel free go along with it and tag me in it too so i can see it!

things to note:

the haikyuu!! characters i chose to correspond with characters in the office are based on likeness in personality as well as some fun tidbits we know about characters from both series

these choices don’t necessarily reflect ships i have, even if that relationship was a central part of the office’s plot or a character’s story (mostly jim and pam, but also dwight and angela)

anyone can totally give me suggestions for characters i haven’t assigned yet

Michael – Bokuto. I’ll get this out of the way: Bokuto is similar in some ways, but he’s not a bumbling fool like Michael. He’s just the closest to Michael personality-wise (even though Bokuto feels a lot more like Andy Dwyer from Parks and Recreation to me). He was the hardest to cast for me after Dwight, maybe? Michael Scott is not a good manager, and an idiot through-and-through, but when it comes to sales, it’s difficult to for the potential client to not make a deal with him because he’s so damn good at sales. I feel like this is very similar to Bokuto.

Jim – The prankster and the romantic meshed into one character. It was an obvious toss-up between Kuroo and Futakuchi, but I went with Kuroo on this because we’ve seen Kuroo realize when he’s crossed a line and apologize for it, which we see from Jim too. I haven’t seen this from Futakuchi, not that there have been a lot of chances for him to anyway.

Pam – A really tough choice between Suga and Yachi, but I’m going to go with Suga on this one. It was pretty close because both of them have a mostly equal blend of Pam’s qualities (I explain why I could have chosen Yachi below). Her overall arc starts with the fact that she’s settling for less than what she wants in most aspects of her life, until a little bit later when we she decides that she’s going to start getting what she wants. We see something very similar with Suga until the practice match against the Neighborhood Association and then again during the Golden Week training camp (the conversation with Ukai). That and Pam becomes incredibly sassy once she and Jim finally start dating and even sassier when she’s promoted. There’s some verbal savagery that Suga shares with Pam. Also, Pam plays volleyball and is very good at it (she can even jump serve!!!!). Suga can’t jump serve, but he does play (which Yachi does not).

Yachi’s character arc is also similar to Pam’s. The tension between her and her mother and her own lack of confidence is not unlike Pam. But she’s able to find her footing soon enough when she stops convincing herself that not being good enough yet isn’t a reason to not try something at all. And while I’d like to think that having to put up with the current second- and -first-years for a little bit longer will give Yachi a bit of the tough skin and bite we get from Pam later in the series, it’s not really canon. Also Pam is an artist and we know Yachi has similar skills!

But yeah, Suga was my pick for Pam in the end.

Dwight – Kageyama but Dwight is an Actual Asshole most of the time (he has his moment) and Kageyama isn’t. It’s mostly just because the two of them can be very dense. Also Dwight’s constant slinging of “idiot” at mostly Jim is like the predecessor for Kags’ insistence of calling Hinata a dumbass.

Andy – I haven’t chosen who yet, I kind of feel bad about whoever I do choose for Andy because his character arc finished up so poorly. I think Andy was one of the best characters on the show until his family lost their money, he went boating for months because of it, and came back an asshole.

So my choice for Andy would be him post-anger management to the above.

Angela –

Oscar – Yaku screams Oscar to me. There’s something very “only sane one in the room” and “I’m smarter than you” about Yaku that’s reminiscent of Oscar--though the latter is much less pronounced in our dear libero.

Kevin –

Phyllis – a perfect mix of Asahi and Yamaguchi. She’s mostly very gentle and matronly, but there are so many moments when she’ll say or do something seemingly out-of-character or even very much in-character but just entirely unexpected (every single time she sasses or snubs someone) that scream Yamaguchi especially to me.

Stanley –

Meredith –

Creed – Coach Nekomata. If you expected anyone other than Turnt Grandpa, I don’t know what you were thinking.

Kelly – (I don’t know who yet, but do not say Oikawa. I’m not going to reduce him like that).

Ryan –

Rules for Star Spangled Bingo 2020

Purpose of the bingo

The focal characters of this bingo are the three Caps (Steve, Bucky, and Sam).

- You don’t have to choose one for the entire bingo. You can do one for Steve and the ten for Sam and the rest for Bucky or any combo thereof. You can also only write for two of them or one of them for the entire card.

- You can pair them however you want - with each other, a reader, an OC or a different character from the MCU or entirely other fandom. You can also write a general fic

- No matter how you chose to pair them the focus must stay on one of the three Caps. So if you write fx. Winterwidow focus still has to be on Bucky over Nat - or you can write a general fic as long as the focal character is fx Sam.

- The pairing involving one of the three has to be the main pairing. You can’t write Tony x Reader and have Stucky as a side pairing.

- Even if we describe them as the three Caps it’s up to you if Steve, Sam or Bucky hold the mantle in the fic/artwork. Fx. you can have Steve be Cap but still write a Bucky x Reader fic. Or you can write a Sam x OC and have no cap present at all. The focus is on the characters above the mantle.

- You’re fic also doesn't have to be canon-compliant. You can write an AU if you want or you can make it as close to the MCU or comics as you choose.

What you have to do

- Sign up - sign-ups for 2020 are open November 8th, 2019 to December 11th, December 20th, 2019 - We will open too late sign-ups over the summer if you missed the window - See important dates.

- Your submissions must be open to pictures on your chosen Tumblr otherwise we won’t be able to send you your card and we will for normal signups send out cards between Dec 12th - Dec 22nd, 2019 Dec 20th - Dec 28th, 2019 - if you haven’t received your card let us know.

- You can get up to five squares changed or a new card - you can only do this for your first card and only once.

- You can ask for a second card once you have filled the first and a third when you filled the second - More information on that here.

- You can write as many or as few squares as you would like. There are no scorecards but the one you may or may not choose to keep yourself.

- You can start posting for the bingo Jan 1st and final day to post for this round and have it count towards a badge is December 31st, 2020.

- Last day to submit your masterlist for reblog/badge January 15th, 2021.

What do you get

- A card is 5x5 with one free space. You can ask to get up to 5 squares changed. More than that and you’ll have to ask for a new card. You can get changes once or a new card once. Not both or multiple times. You ask for changes via submit by submitting your card via photos to our blog and telling us which squares you want changed - same goes if you want an entirely new card. You still have to submit the old back to us (that way any of the admins can work on your remake, not just the one that created it for you).

- If you fill out a card we will create a badge for you. You can fill up to 3 cards per round and get up to three badges. Read more on submission of masterlists for badge here.

- A lot of prompts to play and have fun with under very few restrictions.

Restrictions

- No abusive ships are allowed. Some ships like Winteriron can be abusive if you focus on the negative but can also be based on healing, therefor they are a grey zone and fall under think about what you write, if you chose a pairing such as that one. Shipping Bucky with Rumlow will always be abusive and as a rule no villians shipped with heroes allowed. (Loki might be an exception cause he is a grey character, just think before you write with him too).

-No pairing an adult with an underage character. No aging up or down. This goes for side pairings as well so no Starker!

- No incest - that goes for Thorki as a sidepairing as well. Adopted or not they grew up as brothers.

- No non/dub con are allowed either.

- You can’t write smut if you are under the age of 18. If we catch you doing so you will be blocked from the bingo page and banned for participating.

- You can't write smut if you are under 18. Everyone can write fluff, angst, crack, etc.

Formats and requirements

- Fics must state what square you fill, warnings, word count and pairing - if no pairing just write general (check the format page for ideas on how to format your post)

- Social Media AUs, Aesthetics, Edits, Fanart, Fanvids, podfics must have square filled, pairing and if needed warnings.

- Everything you post as a fill must be original and new content - or if you read someone's fic as a podfic explicit consent from the author must have been given and they have to be credited on your post.

- Fics must have a minimum of 250 words - fics over 500 must have a keep reading to be reblogged.

- Use common sense for when posting artworks into long posts. They might need a cut too.

- Aesthetics have a 4 picture minimum and preferably accompanied by a 100-word description or drabble - words are not a must

- Gifsets has a 6 picture minimum.

- One piece of fanart in form of a drawing by hand or a computer program is considered a fill.

- Social media Aus must be a min of 6 pictures.

- Podfics must be a min of 3 min.

- Fanvids must be a min of 30 sec.

- One square per fic/artwork. If you write a series each chapter can be considered a fill or the entire series can be a fill if you so choose. No combining squares within the bingo.

- You are free to combine our bingo with another bingo with no additional requirements added from our end. Just make sure you follow the other bingos rules too.

- Warn accordingly. If warnings are spoilers put them in the tags and tell people to check your tags for additional warnings on the post.

- You don’t have to use the same media for the entire card. You can have 3 fics and 1 vid and the rest fics fx.

- Tag us @star-spangled-bingo and make clear the fic is for SSB 2020 and use the #SSB2020 (in one word) on each square you fill.

Sanctions for breaking the rules

- If your post lacks a keep reading we won’t reblog it but it will still count as a fill.

- If your fill fail to meet the minimum requirements your fill will be reblogged but won’t count as a fill unless you add to it to meet the minimum.

- If your post doesn’t clearly show square filled, we won’t reblog it and it won’t count as a fill until you edited it in.

- If we discover you write smut and are under 18 - you will be blocked from the bingo blog and banned from participating in the bingo in the future even when you reach the age of 18.
