After completing his high school journey, Funchess embarked on the next chapter of his basketball career, joining the Copiah-Lincoln Community College team. She said that she was talking with her supervisor about setting goals and achieving life goes & she said his advice on the topic was, 'Win the Day'.

'Win the Day' means hitting your goals everyday. Once you hit your goals consistently, your confidence in yourself will grow and the momentum will move you to or surpass your goals.
