That’s actually the first thing I wanna talk about, and is the only gripe I have with the entire video. Why the fuck wasn’t mentions of suicide tagged in the description??

Like I understand the concept wasn’t dwelled on and Sam didn’t outright say “I’m gonna fucking kill myself” but he PRETTY EXPLICITLY talked about how he planned to commit suicide even if he didn’t say those words. idk “chosen morality” doesn’t seem like the right warning for that? I’m not gonna complain abt it like too much, I just was a little confused on why it wasn’t tagged.

But anyways onto my jumbled up thoughts about the actual audio! Because as a member of the Sam Collins fandom, I have thoughttsssssss!!

THIS AUDIO MADE ME SOB! I couldn’t sleep because of how sad I was over it. Sam and Darlin need to be happy just for fucking ONCE, god give them a BREAKKKKKK.

The idea of them just silently holding each other on their roof with the night sky above them, a few tears probably falling from both of them. IM DUHXSJDIJFDJFHFHJ

AND MOTHERFUCKER THE VIDEO ENDING ON “Brown. My eyes were brown” I FELL TO THE FLOOR SHUT THE FUCK UP!

On a happier note about that, I KNEW Sam’s eyes were brown. I feel like almost everyone did tbh. I’ll tell you what gave it away though, the gentle way he says “please” to Darlin in some of his audios. Automatically gave it away that he would have had the biggest brown puppy dog eyes you have ever seen in your life. I’m physically sick over it, it’s not even funny.

Now back to the thing I desperately don’t wanna think about. Sam telling Darlin that he wasn’t planning on living forever.

That’s where the dam broke for me, I started bawling. It totally makes sense, I get it and I can’t say that it’s not a choice that makes sense given that Sam never wanted to be a vampire in the first place.

Do y’all think that he was planning to watch the sunrise on his roof? Because that was my first thought and it hurt real bad. Sam finally getting to feel the sunlight after so many years of having been deprived of it, only to be ash when the sun was fully in the sky.

Also I know damn well he probably would have done it after Darlin died and that’s what hurts so bad. If Darlin chose to be a vampire I think he would happily spend however long their eternity would be by their side, but once they were gone he probably wouldn’t feel a reason to stay. Especially because if Darlin turned into a vampire the two of them probably would have completely pulled away from all mortals before that would happen.

On that note, I don’t think Darlin is gonna want to be turned. I never really thought they would, unless they were under very specific circumstances. Sam telling them to spend time in their wolf form and with their pack before deciding solidified that for me 100%. I don’t think they would be able to lose their wolf which we know is a pretty big part of shifters, talking from Milo’s audio where he breaks down worried he was never going to be able to shift again. I don’t think they would be okay with the idea of watching their friends, and their family all start to wither away and eventually die while they remain.

Now, do I think Darlin is going to want to be turned? No. Do I think the dynamic of Darlin choosing to remain mortal opens a lot of really good angst possibilities? Yes. Do I fully trust Erik to not turn them anyways? Not really no.

If I had to put a bet in for how it would happen if Darlin got turned, it would be by Quinn. Quinn would find out or catch wind of the fact that they chose not to be turned (if he didn’t already know they would chose that) and turn them anyways just to hurt them.

(I think Alexis turning them is an interesting idea to think about, from any angle but I highly doubt that’s gonna happen lmao)

All in all I genuinely think that was the only audio that has affected me that much (aside from maybe listening to the inversion for the first time??)

3. Hi! First I want to say that I love what you're doing here, helping people find fics and giving recommendations and it's just amazing, thank you. I'm searching for a fic I stumbled upon and read before I had an ao3 account and have never been able to find again. I'm pretty sure it was written in the earlier years, a while before the TV show came out, because I don't remember it having any more recently popular tags. I don't remember the title but I do remember most of what happened in it. Aziraphale was given a, like, new trainee angel, he was a young boy, to "show the ropes" and teach how to be an angel. The new angel just couldn't understand what was going on, there was a lot of frustration with really complicated angelic math problems,  and somehow managed to mess up a miracle so badly it turned into a huge man-eating slime blob, except that instead of eating people everyone it touched turned into, like their opposite self? Something like that? And the rest of it was the characters trying to find and stop this rouge miracle from wreaking havoc. It was incredibly hilarious. Interestingly, it's probably the only fic that I absolutely loved that notably /didn't/ ship aziraphale and Crowley. In fact, aziraphale was shipped with a human guy. Usually I hate that kind of thing in fics but this one was so funny and well done it just worked. Aziraphale got touched by the miracle and suddenly decided he could spread God's love better by going into the porn industry and having sex with various men. XD Meanwhile, Crowley got touched by the miracle and became, like, really nice? Idk I remember that he was wearing a sweater vest or something lol and his apartment was different somehow In the ending, they realized that the miracle had somehow ended up in Hell and were fearing the consequencesIn the beginning, the guy aziraphale was eventually shipped with gave him a kitten, I think, to petsit while the guy went on a trip and aziraphale was less than pleased I think the kitten got turned into a big dog or vice versa probably because the miracle touched it So I know what it's about but not much that would help me find it, much gratitude to you  if you canThanks :) - @aceartistactivist

Yes this is the “longass post” I mentioned in my previous Tratie HoO post hgjkfsh I decided to publish it and see what y’alls think!

Anyway, I saw this post, like...a week ago?? And all of a sudden, everything related to the HoO series that I’ve held back just came charging full-force. So I’m here to grace y’alls with my ideas and thoughts about HoO.

Honestly, if I talked abt everything that went off-kilter in that series, we’d be here all day, so I’ll just stick to the mere basic point that was also the basis of my HoO conceptual rewrite idea, and that point is...

Percabeth shouldn’t have been a part of the Seven.

Yeah yeah, half of you guys must be throwing stones at me, the other half is probably nodding in agreement. But seriously, Percabeth already had their time to shine--they had an entire five hecking books, they ( and their characterizations ) definitely do not need another five more, yeesh! I love Percy and all, but pls, five more books in which his and Annabeth’s and their relationship’s character were diminished? Yeah, no thanks. 

I love Percabeth, but in HoO, they became so...bland??? Idk how to properly explain it, but I didn’t like what happened to their character arcs at all lmaoo

But then, I got an idea: what if, instead of Percabeth, it was TRATIE who was a part of the Seven, instead? 

Now this idea was inspired both from the post mentioned above plus another post that talked abt Tratie as a part of the Seven in a bit more detail, which I cannot find no matter how many times I scoured the rr-crit tag ( smh, if anyone else knows of this post, pls lmk and link it, I’m sorry 😭 )

And yeah, I know a lot of ppl have been hopping on the ‘Nico & Reyna as part of the Seven’ train when it comes to making HoO rewrites, but see, hear me out, just think about the potential of Travis Stoll and Katie Gardner--two children of minor gods--getting their spotlight in a series of their own ( plus more indirect spotlight on the minor gods in question ) plus a slowburn ( kinda ) relationship?? Heck, I already have some ideas for this, that I’ll jot down below the cut along with some conceptual ideas about the rewrite. If any of y’alls end up reading this whole post, can you...just, idk, lmk whether it’s a solid plan and if I should actually take it forward and plan on writing it? Bc I’m being rlly indecisive rn ahaha 😅

So. Tratie instead of Percabeth. Let’s take a closer look at the potential:

Honestly, I hate to admit it, but Percabeth didn’t do much to the plot as a whole, so it wouldn’t make much of a difference if they’re taken out. Though there are some things they did to move the plot forward, although little, and that’s what I’ll touch on before I discuss Tratie in general:

( oh yeah, disclaimer: I read the HoO series about five years ago?? I’m trying ( key word: trying lmao ) to reread the series currently, but it’s just not sticking lmfao. Probably the main reason why I wanna rewrite it so badly, other than the two posts that boosted my inspo )

--> THE ATHENA PARTHENOS: Annabeth went on a solo quest in MoA to track down the Athena Parthenos bc it was crucial to sealing the rift between Greek and Roman. BUT, any other demigod could go on that same quest instead of her. Like Piper, whose mother had told her that she was essential to sealing the rift but never ended up doing anything for it bc RR just...flopped idk; or someone like Leo who has similar abilities as Annabeth and would be able to outsmart Arachne in a similar fashion as well; or even Reyna could come earlier than she did in the series and work with the Seven or some of them to track down the statue? Idk, there are lots of options, tbh, there’s honestly not that much relevance to Annabeth being the daughter of Athena so she has to track down the Athena Parthenos. I mean, sure there was the Arachne ordeal, but other than that, nothing major rlly happens

Percy, himself, didn’t rlly...do much for the entire series, other than fight. I mean, there were some minor aspects of HoO where his powers or relations to other characters vibed well, so we’ll check those out:

--> KANSAS: In MoA, Jason and Percy fought each other bc they were forced to. That could easily happen even without Percy. Instead, of Percy, it could be Hazel and Jason fighting each other due to their connections as the Big Three children being taken advantage of. It could be sort of like a mirage of Thalia and Percy’s fight back in TTC. Plus, again, it gives way for more bonding and discussion after between two other characters that never got much interaction time together in canon

--> KYM AND POLYBOTES: okay this is the scene that takes place in BoO where Percy and Jason face off against Kym and Polybotes. But, Percy...does literally nothing here other than get poisoned lmao. It was Jason who did the heavy-lifting bc Percy got a t a d bit arrogant, thinking he was invincible underwater. So honestly, you could take out Percy and replace him with another member of the Seven (who would seem reasonable, in the context, so no Piper or Annabeth or Leo, etc bc none of them can survive even a minute under the water and doesn’t have a way like Jason to breathe). Tbvh, I can see Frank and Jason go together to face Kym and Polybotes. Frank can shapeshift into a sea-creature while Jason can use his ventus vacuum thingie, so it all works out, and nothing too drastic is changed! 

There’s probably a couple more of little scenes where Percabeth was mostly significant in some way to the series, but let’s be very honest...there weren’t a lot of them. So long story short: if you want to, you can easily take out Percy and Annabeth from the series and replace them with another pair and it wouldn’t be the end of the world, lmao.

Now onto Tratie ideas in relation to if they were a part of the Seven instead. Here are some bullet-points of some ideas that I thought of:

It could be a lovely parallel, where when Jason woke up, all he could remember was Thalia, so when Travis wakes up, all he remembers is Connor, his younger brother. I think it would be nice bc it shows that not everything has to be romantically coded like how Percy only remembered Annabeth in canon. It would emphasize Travis and Connor’s sibling bond more so, and I can just imagine Connor giving Travis reuniting noogies and trying not to burst into tears in MoA, and Travis whispers something like “you’re here” and the floodgates open, and it’s just crying and hugging and the like 😭😭

Katie is a daughter of Demeter, so she would have a somewhat connection with the Earth aka Gaea, hence there is now a plausible reason why Gaea would want to spill her blood to rise. Also, when the time comes to defeat her, instead of charm-speaking her to sleep or whatnot, Katie could be a significant crux to the primordial’s defeat bc her powers tie in with the land/earth, so she could use her powers to forcibly push Gaea back into the earth.

 Instead of them going to Tartarus, they end up going to Cupid (so some other pair will fall into Tartarus instead), and instead of a stupid forced outing, Cupid takes one look at them, senses their underlying emotional tension and goes “oh boy, yeah, you two have a lot to talk about” and actually (tries to) help guide the two into confessing the feelings they’d hidden, instead of being a little shit like in canon. Plus I just adore the idea of Travis calling Katie “flower” after they get together, and Katie calling him “key” not just bc he steals stuff but also bc he’s like the key to her heart and all that sappy bs, I literally love them sm 🥺 literally such wonderful nickname opportunities that have a deeper meaning

Travis and Jason might have a subtle rivalry, but unlike Percy and Jason’s weird ‘I’m stronger than you’ thing, it could be bc Jason felt a bit jealous of how everyone was looking for Travis, including his sister, while no one pulled much of an effort to look for him? It’d give an opportunity for them to talk things out and end up growing closer after talking

Juno/Hera saw Travis’s need, his desire, to redeem the Hermes name and as a result, used that fire to kickstart her plan by plopping him in Camp Jupiter while Jason got switched to CHB. Hence there is now a reasonable concept as to why the switch happened, because honestly, the whole Percy-Jason switch didn’t make all that sense bc Jason, yes I can sort of understand why he got switched, but Percy?? There was literally no solid reason that was explained as to why he was chosen to be switched lmao. But with Travis, Juno/Hera takes pity on him and uses this as an opportunity for him to bring glory to the Hermes name after the Titan War

I have a ton more ideas for the rewrite as a whole tbvh. Stuff relating to ways Gaea could actually be defeated, more on Octavian’s backstory and why he hates the Greeks so much, and other tiny scenes between the demigods that could bring about more characterization and details to their arcs.

The only problem is...with the way this is going in my head, I think things might end up diverging more or less from canon as the series progresses? Like there will obv be the canon scenes, but there might also be non-canon scenes that might change the series plot a little bit?? And idk how many of y’alls will appreciate that lmao ghjksfgh but I have started writing it. It’s a super long process lmfao, so idk when I’ll publish it (probably on Ao3, if I do), but I just wanted to let y’alls know bc a lot of you guys liked my first post abt this and I saw your lovely tags and it made me super happy and honestly, those tags are the reason why I even started writing this in the first place! So thank you guys so so much for the positive feedback!

OKAY YALL, no this ain’t a chapter of “There’s Always Me” BUT! This is a little something full of information that I think is gon be useful (?)

First! The new thing I’ve started is called “There’s Always Me” inspired from a song of Elvis’

-Quick info-

So just to keep in mind, this is placed basically “King Creole” time, no cellphones, television’s black and white, but the certain thing I’m taking from nowadays is the high ass prices. (Why am I noting this? Because it’s a trigger, fr 😭)

So just a warning I guess, there’s some crime into this series overall such as shoplifting, stealing, police (idk just thought I should warn that, but nothing like brutality and all that. God no) children, (again, y’all…children are annoying, so it’s gon be a warning for sure), some fighting, and that’s bout it for now. OH! And, just to keep in mind, these chapters won’t be inspired much by Elvis’ songs nor will I probably like tag lots of his songs, but more of what I grew up with that helped me out ♥️.

-Character and Setting-

Soooo, this part I think is gonna be very useful because like…ahem, I just feel it. (I won’t bother for Danny because we all understand why he’s the way he is, and that he’s misunderstood for the sweet person he is.)

👀Where we living? 👀 The reader, her 2 sisters, brother, and mother live in a small home with one bedroom, a living room that’s connected to a small kitchen, in a sketchy ass neighborhood that always got the police running around.

Y/N: Y/N is the reader of course! She’s the oldest of 4 siblings- Junbug, Tom, and Evan. She’s basically the mother figure to them since their Mama is rarely home. Shes working at a diner as a waitress, and a parent at home. -mature, caring, motherly, responsible and loving

I know I’m probably doing the most but I feel it’s best to give an understanding to “Mama”.

Mama is a single mother of four kids, she’s working 2 jobs. One as a janitor at a local restaurant and a cashier at a gas station. She’s doing her absolute best, she doesn’t want to have to work over time and hardly see her kids, but she has to, to manage a roof over their heads. Even through all the overtime and pass work hours, the bills aren’t always up to date and paid. From time to time, or more often now, there’s no hot water, the lights don’t turn on at times, or there’s even nothing on the table. It pains to see this and know that she can’t properly provide for her family, she doesn’t want her kids to suffer like this, so she’s open and continuously looking for better options in both work and home, and she’s more than thankful for Y/N and her help

Junbug, nicknamed for James, is the only boy, and second oldest after reader. He’s is 12 years old. He’s not as payed attention to, and he’s a bit of a trouble maker. Tom, nicknamed for Tamera, is the third child, and second daughter! Tom’s aged 9 years old, and is a good kid. She’s got alright grades, helps out reader, and her Mama with Evan. She’s a bit of a loner at school, and is a confused, curious one. Without having Pops there, she’s confused on what’s right and what’s wrong for certain subjectsa and lost for how she’s to be treated, and isn’t much of a talker either.

Evan, short for Evangeline is the youngest of all children. She’s aged 5 years old, and is also a curious one. She’s loud, sweet, and a talkative one (she’s one of ‘em kids who would spill their family’s juice to a random stranger while playing at the park 😭.) She’s nosy, sassy, and basically what every toddler coming of age would be!

my parents took one of the most popular girl’s name from the late 90s to the early 2000s and changed a letter to make it unique...worked out though because it was my great grandpa’s name who died long before i was even thought of. 

2. “when was the last time you cried?” 

watching the new avatar like three weeks ago. the ending had me FUCKED up. 😭

3. “do you have kids?” 

no! but in the future (which is not near at all) i want two or three and we’re all gonna be besties. 

4. “do you use sarcasm a lot?” 

yes. being a facetious bitch is one of my defining traits if you know me irl. 

5. “what’s the first thing you notice about people?” 

maybe a weird answer but i kind of get a read on their vibe first? idk. i love people watching and analyzing things so i always secretly watch and observe before approaching.

no! our family dog passed away like two years ago after having her for twelve years.

This was based off of an instagram meme that i think was made for women over the age of 50, but when vore inspiration strikes, you have to do something.

So, here’s this!! I may make this a series, I may not, but it may depend on if y’all even like this story or not lol

so without further ado, here’s some crimeboys noms >:)

He had to get away. Tommy couldn’t stay another day in this damn house, he felt like he was suffocating. He had to leave, somehow.

All of his things were already packed. The little he had was stored in various bags he had stolen from the attic when the thought of running away had first occurred to him. When he had first realized that he couldn’t stay in this shithole any longer.

Now to think of where. That had been his main concern. Hotels were too expensive, and god knows he didn’t have any friends who would let him stay with them.

Which left him with one option, though he was dreading it.

A few months ago, a new app had been created. A way to book “unique” temporary living arrangements with giants. It was part of some weird initiative to get humans and giants to get along better, and had fully stapled itself to the claims that some humans who lived with giants made about how being eaten could be “relaxing.”

That’s right, as awful an idea as this seemed to Tommy and almost everyone else, there was now a way to book what could qualify as the worlds weirdest airbnb within giants. Literally. Apparently some giants were completely ok with random humans using their organs as a weekend get away, because there were plenty on the app for Tommy to scroll through. And scroll he did.

He had realized a while ago that this may be the cheapest option, and had gone through the website for hours until he had found someone. Early 20s, no criminal record that he could find with a limited google search, good reviews that he could tell were mostly from humans friends that he had, but the man seemed nice enough. He ignored the paranoia that told him that this man was only cheap because he would lure Tommy to his death. That the moment he and Tommy met, it would be over, and he’d be just another missing and forgotten person. Another victim to a random giant where there’d be no proof of his death and nothing to-

No, he couldn’t afford to think like that. This had to work. And, besides, was it really worth still living if he had to be at this house any longer? As much as he hated himself for thinking it, he’d rather let this stranger be the death of him than spend another second with his abusive shit family.

Tommy had messaged him once or twice and had paid him once already just to settle the deal. He ignored the feeling of dread in his gut every time he even thought about the giant, but he couldn’t help but be nervous. After all, this man would be holding his life in him until he got his shit together enough to at least get a job. He didn’t know how long that would be, but he needed to be practically untraceable. He couldn’t risk his family finding him. He couldn’t risk being taken back home.

He sent one final text to the man about where to meet. He knew it was late, but he had warned him in advance that he was probably gonna get a text in the middle of the night, so he slowly crept out of his window and, seeing that the coast was clear, ran, not looking back.

He would never look back.

…

Tommy had arrived at the meetup spot and had been waiting for 30 minutes and, still, no sign of the giant. Ok, now that he thought about it, maybe this did seem a little suspicious. Supposing the giant was a normal ass man, getting a text saying “meet me in an abandoned Tesco parking lot” was a weird thing to receive at 2:45 in the morning. But, again, Tommy was shooting to be untraceable. He couldn’t risk anyone seeing him or his giant. Could he call this stranger “his giant?” Whatever. Tommy knew his family. He didn’t want other people to get hurt, but he couldn’t do this alone. Even if it was a stranger, he needed help.

Tommy just sat and kept thinking, thoughts spiraling into what he would do if the giant never showed up, if he actually had to do this by himself, when the ground began to shake. Tommy quickly stood up and had to strain his neck looking up to see the giant approach. And, holy shit, this fucker was tall.

Tommy had never met a giant before. Hell, almost no humans had. But from what he knew, they shouldn’t be this tall. He felt his knees begin to shake and his palms sweat as he took in the full size and image of the monster that he had hired to eat him. He had fluffy brown hair, wire rimmed glasses and a yellow sweater with a brown puffer jacket on and, weirdly enough, had a mask covering his mouth. He seemed to be hunched over, looking around for what Tommy could only assume to be him, pulling his red-brown beanie further over his head almost nervously. His eyes frantically scanned the empty lot until he found him, where he quickly made his way over as Tommy stumbled back, falling onto the ground and shaking violently from the cold and fear.

“There you are!!” the giant said, “Tommy, right? I’ve been looking all over for you! What were you thinking making this the meetup spot?!”

Tommy could barely speak. It felt like his head had been stuck in a freezer, his throat frozen and his mind muddled and cloudy, unable to form a response. “I-I..it….i- it was c- close…” he whimpered, stumbling back farther. The giant only then seemed to notice Tommy’s fear as he sighed and knelt down, trying to be more eye level as he spoke quieter. “It’s ok, kid. Fuck, you’re younger than I thought you’d be. You mean it’s close to your house, right?” Tommy nodded hesitantly and Wilbur continued. “Thought so. You probably didn’t want to haul your stuff all the way to the giant side. It’s just…i’m not technically allowed to be here.” Tommy looked up at him, confused, his breath slowing and his panic was subsiding now that the giant wasn’t towering over him and scanning the grounds for him like a fucking predator hunting it’s prey. The giant must’ve noticed his confusion, as he continued. “This isn’t a mutual territory. If i get caught here, i could get in a lot of trouble. I tried texting and calling you to tell you, given that humans don’t know a lot about the laws giants have to follow, but you weren’t responding, so i figured i’d just come and make this quick before the cops notice me.” He said. Ah, so that’s what the surgical mask was for. So the cops couldn’t recognize him. He held out a finger to Tommy, and he tried not to think about how this singular finger was taller than his whole body. “I’m Wilbur, by the way, i don’t think i ever introduced myself.” Tommy shuffled closer and grabbed the tip of the finger in an awkward attempt at a handshake. “I-I’m Tommy.”

“As nice as it is to meet you, you seem really nervous. First time?” Tommy nodded again, miraculously feeling less nervous by the second. Something about this guy, maybe his calming voice or how much more human he was than Tommy assumed he’d be, made Tommy trust him.

Or maybe it was the fact that this was the first time in a long time he had been treated with kindness. His family was barely decent to him, so this was a nice change, if an unexpected one.

“First time meeting a giant, actually.” “No offense, I can kind of tell.” Wilbur said, though there was no judgement in his voice. “Y’know, you don’t have to do this now. We could always resched-“ “No!!” Tommy shouted, interrupting the giant. “No, no, I want to, I have to, I’m out of options, please.” At that, Wilbur began to look concerned. “Tommy what do you mean ‘out of options?’ Are you ok? Do you need help?” “This is my help! Sure, maybe I’m a little bit fucking terrified, but i have nowhere else to go. I- I can’t go back, please, please, Wilby.” Tommy finished, the nickname naturally rolling off his tongue like he had known the giant his whole life. Wilbur looked at him with a vague look of concern and pity before bringing one of his giant fingers closer to Tommy’s face. Tommy didn’t even have time to react before it gently swiped across his cheek, wiping away tears he didn’t even know he had shed. “Ok, ok, i’ll help, it’s alright.” He said, giving Tommy a warm smile (he assumed; his eyes scrunched up a little near the outer edges, which seemed like a good sign he was smiling) that only slightly hid the concern still plastered on his face. And though Tommy still couldn’t see most of the aforementioned face, his eyes portrayed everything Tommy needed. Wilbur wore his heart on his sleeve; he liked that.

Tommy could have sobbed in relief as Wilbur’s words fully sunk in. He was going to get away, and the thought of finally being free was enough to drown out any more fears of what was about to happen. Wilbur then reached behind him and grabbed some of his bags, which looked ridiculously minuscule in his hand, as he brought them up to his mouth before pausing. “Do you want to go down first or do you want me to do to do these? For some people, it can be a bit nerve racking to see me swallow something first.” Tommy thought about it, then shook his head. It’s not like he wanted to see his few meager possessions disappear down the throat of a giant, especially knowing he’d have to join them, but he wasn’t gonna chicken out now. He just needed a few seconds to collect himself, and what Wilbur did with his bags in that time was none of his business.

Wilbur calmly lifted the bags back up, all of them at the same time, and slipped them under his mask. Within a few seconds, Tommy saw a vague outline slip down Wilbur’s throat, bobbing his addam’s apple a bit as they descended to where Tommy would be staying for a short while…maybe he should have gone first.

It all reminded him of a nature documentary he had seen on snakes once; he could see the outline of some poor rodent slowly trail down the snake to its final resting place.

Tommy tried not to think about that last part. After all, he’d be fine. He wasn’t prey, not to Wilbur, anyway. To his family…maybe. Not like they mattered anymore, though.

Tommy felt giddy enough at that thought that he stepped forward towards Wilbur as he watched the man press against his midsection gently, presumably to make sure Tommy’s bags had ended up in the right organ. After that confirmation, Wilbur looked back down, setting his hand palm up next to Tommy. “You ready for this, big man?” Tommy grinned at the nickname, at the way Wilbur treated him. Like a person; an equal. He grinned so hard it almost hurt. “Ready as i’ll ever be.”

Tommy felt himself be lifted and watched as Wilbur used his free hand to lift his mask just enough for Tommy to fit under and into his mouth. Tommy quickly found a perch on his lip and tried to climb in the rest of the way himself before realizing holy shit oh prime good fucking god his teeth were sharp. Wilbur made muffled cry of concern as his hand came back up under Tommy as he stumbled a bit. But, after the initial shock of the teeth being way sharper than he thought, Tommy managed to climb in the rest of the way successfully.

So I never claimed to be good at these here socials media, and, case in point, I didn’t realize until yesterday (because I hadn’t thought to check) that my blog wasn’t showing up in search suggestions, nor were my posts findable through tag searches. (Many thanks to @bluedaddysgirl for noticing this, and bringing it to my attention!)

Turns out I had a couple reblogs (one from 2015, one from 2016) that had been flagged for ‘offensive content’ (one of which absolutely was, being a reblog of an Oglaf comic from before the Great Tumblr Porn Purge; the other one was imo debatable but certainly not worth fighting over). Anyway, I have since deleted the offending reblogs, and lo and behold, I and my posts are now searchable!

I’m mostly feeling baffled and bemused by this, and by how difficult and not-obvious it was for me to (A) figure out my stuff was being squashed, (B) figure out I had flagged reblogs, and (C) figure out that these two things might be related. (Technically this is still just supposition; I still haven’t found any confirmation that reblogging offensive content could have this kind of impact. Tumblr’s FAQ mentions that *posting* offensive content may get your account marked as ‘explicit’, but that doesn’t seem applicable because (1) these were reblogs, not posts, and (2) I was still able to use custom headers and avatars, which explicit accounts are not supposed to be able to use. So idk, but I’m tagging @support just in case; y’all lmk if you want me to provide screenshots or anything. I know I’m kind of oblivious a lot of the time, but I still feel like there’s room for improvement with the UX here. God, can you tell I work in tech?

Anyway, I’ve got no idea how long this was going on, but it does make me feel a little better about not getting more notes on my work these past few months. (Yes I know notes are not an objective measure of quality or worth, but try telling that to the dopamine-producing parts of my brain). I’m not sure what to do now. Should I re-post the artwork so it will re-surface in the tags? Should I make a post tagged with my main fandoms being like ‘hey, btw I’m here, come look at my stuff’? Should I just carry on as before? That’s probably what’s going to happen, but I’m open to suggestions.

TL;DR: if you’re following me for my art, it might be worth going through the ‘my art’ tag, there may well be stuff in there that you missed! and if you want to reblog said stuff to help it get some extra exposure, I certainly wouldn’t mind!

When they’re grown ups ™ Eddie wants to open his own music store.

And Steve supports him, sure, wtf else is he gonna do with this business degree his dad made him get. This will make you feel fulfilled? Then let’s do it babe.

They settle in Brooklyn, it’s perfect really, it’s a nice place to make a home as an alt gay and his bi lover. Maybe one day they settle down in jersey or Long Island with a couple nuggets, but for now it’s home. And they open their alt music shop. It becomes a big deal on the scene, too. A kind of home base. Everyone knows them as a famous infamous shop, and they adore the charismatic, big hearted, kind owner Eddie. People come to him for advice, help. Music and personal. Like a community dad.

And of corse Steves there. Steve runs the store with him, just more of the back office side. Stock, books. Marketing. Sure Steve has his side income, he owns a strip mall, or plays the market. Something to give them a safety net, god forbid. But he does work the store sometimes. And when he does he sticks out like a sore thumb. Some regulars know him, or Atleast know of him as Eddie’s partner but most customers really don’t.

One day it’s very busy, and Eddie much prefers customer servicing on the floor so Steve offers to watch the register, of corse. Hell do anything to get to watch eddie being so animated and happy.

And he’s the out of touch awkward dad he is with all the customers. But he’s still so nice, so supportive (“oh good choice everyone’s snatching this one up. Is this what you kids are groovin to these days?”) and he’s mostly well liked as ‘normie Steve’. Or some shit like that. No one gets his presence but they like him enough.

One day some kids are snickering, “yo whose dad is that behind the register oh my god”

“That’s the owner” one of the kids friends deadpans.

“No, I know Eddie that’s not eddie”

“No, numb nuts that’s Steve. Eddies partner”

“His business partner?”

“Life partner. Like gay husband.”. There is a look of shock on the kids face. They just don’t go together.

Mr polo and khakis over here, is married to Mr hair metal goth rings hand made denim jackets?

But when Eddie in grinning ear to ear, hands on the counter leaning into Steve’s personal space and Steve is returning the love sick flirty look, the two teasing or bantering back and forth by the looks of it. And oh, it make sence. Look at that chemistry. These two, maybe a little confusingly, are so so in love.

Steve is ABSOLUTELY the “drug dealers girlfriend whose the passenger seat princess ™” and just liked going on little adventures when Eddie goes to sell. Is more than thrilled that date night is stopping by a couple parties and a few dudes houses, 7-11 runs, and eventually making out by lovers lake. Give this boy a hickie and a slurpee and its a fucking movie as far as he’s concerned.

Corroded coffin, 80s and 90s metal legend band is seeing a wild resurgence of popularity due to a tik tok trend/ a song of theirs being in a movie/ etc.

This means young people are obsessed with Eddie again. Young people, his og fans. His name is trending on Twitter again. Steve is so happy for him.

One tweet, had 4 photos of Steve and Eddie. One old photo Steve had posted for their 35 year (who could believe that!) anniversary on Facebook of the two of them back in ‘86, one of them in ‘95 from the Grammys, one of them from ‘11 from their wedding, and one of them from a few weeks ago from robins Instagram which Eddie had shared to his story.

The caption reads “who was going to tell me that THIS is who EDDIE MUNSON is married to? He’s literally JUST SOME GUY oh my god this is hilarious this dude could be my English teacher how the fuck did these two even meet” and Eddie thinks it’s so funny, so he retweets it with the caption “high school sweethearts-ish.
