The thing about ghosts and its queerness is that not only is it done very well via the captain and sam and clare, but it’s made for us.
A friend of dorothy, kylie minogue, brighton, cole porter, etc. those are all queer things that (for the most part) queer people recognize. The six idiots did their research and added little nods to the queer audience they know they have. They saw us and said “here’s a little treat for you!” and they pulled it off flawlessly. I’ve probably gone on and on about this but y’know I just love this show
will never get over Frenchie canonically making up the excuse that Stede’s journal is a “bit of fanfiction” about him and that he “can’t stop imagining him in all different scenarios. All totally made up” LIKE. HE IS JUST LIKE US FR
i love how mystery files brings up so many questions and theories and answers like… half of them. half of this show is just the boys going “fuck if i know what actually happened, but isn’t all that wild?” i’m obsessed
For those like me, who (understandably, I’d say >.>) forgot what the hell happened to Choose Goose (in the literal post credits scene btws) and just remembered it was.... something?? In Wizard City??
Survived drinking Coconteppi blood + stole Bufo’s tadpoles is what happened..... apparently....
(Does explain where he ended up in the afterlife. >3>)
So i was rewatching Shattered for a post when i noticed something for the first time.
Usually on that scene where Tails tells Sonic i usually look at Tails becuse he stands out more to me, but for the first time i was looking at Sonic instead, and i noticed he made some sort of expression, but couldn't discern what, so i looked at it again and
this
motherfucker
rolled his eyes at him
He literally just forgave you after you ignored his warnings and fell for Eggman's trap (whether Tails could have explained himself better is not relevant, he felt ignored and you apologized), and literally the same day, he tells you to be careful and you roll your eyes at him. No wonder he was so upset at you ignoring him, no wonder he was so dismissive about your apology. You probably ignore him all the time, he knew you were just going to do whatever you wanted, of course he didn't take you seriously.
There is absolutely NO WAY Arthur didn't know Merlin had magic. Even if he didn't admit it to himself--deep down, he had to know.
I'm rewatching the series again and on episode THREE, Merlin walks in on the King's meeting and loudly announces he has magic, in order to get Gwen out of prison. Gaius is immediately upset, and Merlin is very serious when he confesses.
Already, Merlin has proven to Arthur that he is trustworthy, because he's already saved Arthur's life in episode 1 and he was right about Knight Valiant's shield in episode 2. More than that, Arthur has already proven that he trusts Merlin's word--in episode 2, even after he sent Merlin away, he still believed him about the shield.
Arthur clearly believes Merlin when he confesses and immediately SCRAMBLES to cover for him. In episode THREE.
I know it's been a few days and initial reactions have kind of mellowed, but can we revisit the ep3 ending scene?? How is this real???
I fully thought I would be at least 30 by the time I got to witness something like this on screen and to be able to see it now is fucking amazing.
I could go on about the significance of this entire scene for hours but all my feelings have been covered far more eloquently by fans who can actually articulate their thoughts; one of the perks of being in a big fandom, I guess.
Regardless, I just want to point out how pivotal this scene is in literally any context in which it's presented. Like this is literally a textbook "come back to me" moment from some kind of epic romantic tale and the pairing is literally a pirate captain and his estranged lover who he sees as a merman who saves him from drowning in his purgatory dream sequence which is some of the best symbolism I've seen in recent media because---
