The guardians of the galaxy 3 showed that even though this team consider themselves family none of them are unhealthily co dependent on each other. It’s nice to see each of the guardians have their own friends and skill sets to bring to the team and share with others. From rocket being team leader to Gamora and the ravagers, as well as Mantis freeing herself from the golden cage that ego made for her and learning to grow independence and confidence to stand on her own. Each of them see each other as family and will find their way back to each other but they have grown enough to be okay! They have grown enough to make multiple other connections and friendships and goals. It’s so far from where they came from when the core of the guardians fought each other in prison and were constantly watching their own backs and working alone.

Koneko met Lilia when he was accompanying Meleanor. It was like seeing light for the first time to her that it made her dead-looking eyes shine for once in her whole life. At that time, Meleanor and Koneko were just friends, not best friends yet. And, at that time, Lilia had a crush on Meleanor. Of course, Koneko never knew this. But, as time went on, she started to notice. She wasn't jealous at Meleanor, or even mad at anyone. Although she was upset, at herself I mean, though it wasn't noticable as she doesn't show through her expressions. She is also mad at herself for letting herself fall in love to someone who is already looking at somebody else. When she is alone, however, she cries silently about it. It took her 2 hours to let it all out. And then decided that she'll just quietly watch from the shadows — still admiring Lilia at a distance, and also silently cheering them on. It was also the trigger that made her shined eyes turned dead again. It was also the start of her faking her emotions as time went by.

I love my pharmacist, I think the world of her. I dropped in just to pick up some iron tabs and she was asking me how I was doing, if I was okay, did I need anything, you know where we are if you ever need to come in and talk anytime… Like. How am I supposed to respond to such genuine kindness, hm? Kindness without a motive. She genuinely cares about my well-being! Wants to make sure I’m safe! She’s the greatest, honestly. Nothing but respect for this literal hero and lifesaver

#she was the first person to learn about what happened to me (I had to get some emergency meds) #and she just #took me aside into the consultation room and I told her what happened and she just let me cry #she let me cry on her and gave me tissues while I kept apologising for crying #I was just dumbfounded #she really wanted to make sure I was and still am safe if not at the least doing well #I don’t know #when you’re confronted with the sheer goodness and kindness of a single person in your worst hour it’s a surreal experience #because you wouldn’t be there if that terrible thing didn’t happened but the thing is you now know you don’t need to be alone #that there are things beyond your control and people DO care. people do care and that’s a lesson I’ve been trying to let myself learn #especially over the last few years #I wanna get her a holiday card or something #but also I have oceans of gratitude for this woman I know nothing about #besides her and one other person I haven’t told anyone what happened. I want to coz bottling it up and keeping it like it’s a Dirty Secret #something Shameful is really killing me #but that just makes me all the more thankful that there IS someone who WANTS me to be okay #god I could cry

#so they added these new evaluations at work to have more of a sense of what each person does and how we’re all working / progressing #and i have to be evaluated by my boss which … well we’ve had some issues in the past #but i can see everything they write in their evaluation and i just saw they submitted it #they gave me a really good review and i’m shocked #i for sure thought they were gonna chew me out for some things and ofc there’s room for improvement #but mainly there’s no complaints which is astounding to me #this makes asking for a raise so much easier too #god i could cry
