I started to watch The Shipper because I have heard alot of things about First's performance in this show and honestly what type of crack were they on when they made this show I watch every episode in disbelief First is killing it though from this to Yok To Akk he is so talented

yeah the crack on this show was on another level lmao.

thinking about how nancy and ace are so scared of losing the other that they actually struggle to verbalize it.

in 2x01 when ace and nancy talk at the claw and he tells her that he doesn’t want to lose her. he says, “just ‘cause i’m mad at you doesn’t mean i - wanna lose you” he takes a breath between saying “i” and saying “lose you”. he’s so scared of it (and of what that means beneath the general fear of dying), that he almost doesn’t say it. he can’t say the words “lose” and “you” to nancy. nancy is a force of nature. so tough, so strong willed, he can’t imagine anything taking her down. but this might. this curse could kill them all. he could lose his friends, something that has helped him find his purpose, he could lose nancy. it’s only been a few months, but he already can’t imagine his world without nancy in it, and he doesn’t want to. it is so unfathomable to him that he can barely speak it, but he does, because he tells her just before that sometimes you have to let fear be, and ace is a man of his word. he’s letting himself be scared of possibly dying, which also means being scared of losing nancy.

then, in 2x12 (my beloved) when nancy hands over that device to daniel west, her fear is what is guiding her. once daniel west threatened ace’s life it was never a question of what she would do. she didn’t give up when he was in a coma, she didn’t give up when they were going to die from the agleaca curse, she’s not going to let this man take ace away from her. she and grant pull him off of that ledge and she launches herself at him. she’s so scared, and he almost died, and she’s so relieved. she has to hug him, hold him, feel him, to reassure her brain and her heart that he is still there and he is safe. he asks her if she really believes that celia will help them, and she takes a step back, swallows her fear and says “i couldn’t lose you” we know that the wraith was holding her back in that moment as well, so who knows what it was that she would’ve said he the wraith not been with her at the time. but, she ends up mirroring what ace says to her at the beginning of the season. we know that nancy has underlying feelings for ace, we saw her jealousy in 2x07 and 2x09, but she’s still hiding her feelings. however, in this moment, she lets herself admit some of those feelings to herself --- we know that she would’ve done the same for george, bess, or nick, she’d already risked a lot when she stole the shroud for george and we know she was scared then, but this is different. this is ace. her best friend, her confidant, the person she turns to when she needs help and knows without a doubt that he will be there for her. ace is her rock, he’s her person and she couldn’t lose him.

i like the sab tv show crows in a very different way than i like the soc/ck crows, sab i feel had a bit of a more fun characterization of jesper, which was a blessing and a curse because they reduced him to the comedic character (though, the scene with his mom was genuinely beautiful)

however,,, the most heinous robbery was that of ninej. netflix stole their friendship away and only gave them like… two scenes alone together… they took away ninej relationship which is so tragically sad because they mean so much to me </3 they turned nina’s character into just caring about matthias.

sab crows are interesting (and somewhat fun) depictions of their characters but there is so much missing that could’ve been added or changed! i am sick
