thinking abt amity somehow finding luz and hunter in this timeline... insane.

shes at the door and her and hunter immediately start cursing at each other like??? what the fuck?? and since i bet amity would be in her scout uniform, i think camila would make some quick deductions. (they sent a child to kidnap my children? hello?)

but then luz comes at the door and is like "!!! amity!!!! :D" and instead of hunters usual insane protectiveness hes. oddly ok with this? and it takes exactly five seconds of amity and luz looking at each other for camila to pick up some vibes. (is the cult.. not homophobic? is this why her and hunter arent a thing? (shes wrong but efforts appreciated))

thinking about camila trying to glean the specifics of luz and hunter's paramilitary bunker doomsday death basement cult through context clues is So Fucking Funny. this poor woman. she's like statistically speaking they were almost certainly fundie christians but like. WERE THEY NOT FUNDIE CHRISTIANS??? luz doesn't even know who jesus IS.

It has been a bit of an awful week but it's officially #AudioDramaSunday! Here is the list of shows that kept me from resorting to violence this week

Let's start things off with @thesiltverses which I am now fully caught up with and I just. I love it so much. The way it builds these religions and saints and whatever the hell Val is is just so fascinating and also fucked up (affectionate) Its so so so good

@re-dracula had a 2 hour (!!) long episode this week and my gods it was glorious. We're getting close to the end now y'all and it's gonna be so goddamn good

THE EELS HAVE ARRIVED!! @eelerschoice episode 1 dropped this week and I'm already obsessed! I want to know everything about this world and these big eels!!! The world building that was done in ep 1 has me gnawing on wood like a bidoof I can't wait to see what comes next

We are in the midst of Tiny Terrors 31 Days of Halloween and it's all SO GOOD

@doyoucopypod hurt me this week <3 which I have come to expect <3 This show is just a beautiful (and at times terrifying) depiction of grief and the different ways to handle it. It makes me cry but I love it so much

@kingmakerpod was back at it again this week and it was SO GOOD!!!!! Colette on her own is so much more confident than she was in the first season. She's killing people on purpose now and it is her right <3

Now that I'm caught up on TSV I'm fully diving into The Wyrd Side and I am loving it so much. Its like if true crime was actually fun, I love the style of the show and love every bit of supernatural mystery it uncovers

On the Fringes front I'm still working through editing and my cast is still making me cry with their immense talent. I'm also writing all of the very plot heavy episodes of season 3 currently and I think yall are gonna like what happens <3

And in case you missed it we've had our first 2 cast announcements for @forgedbondspod ! Tot and Tay are a joy to work with and im so grateful they've decided to put up with me for another show. Current writing episode 6 and very Sapphic things are afoot :)

That's all for this week! Things are a little rough on the day job front (someone quit out of nowhere and I've absorbed even more of his work than I had already been doing) but the busy-ness there just makes me want to throw more of myself into these shows <3

Also, they had a funeral for Derek but didn't invite Cora, his sisters... they didn't even tell Isaac that Allison is alive (you know, Allison, your boyfriend. I know you kinda forgot him even when you were dying but if you remember everything then Isaac is supposed to be in that everything too). They didn't even call Stiles!

35) Why does it seem that when the Sheriff was talking about the jeep he was actually talking about Stiles and Derek (or sterek as a ship/concept). No matter what, we sterek shipper will stand. Always and forever.

Final thoughts

I thought worse but at the same time it felt rush. I wanted to see more Eli and Malia bonding. Also the way the Sheriff cares about Eli it seems more like a grandfather to a grandson (if you know what I mean) but we couldn't really see that. And can we talk about Derek and Noah (John for the friends)'s partnership? Or how Derek speaks about Stiles with Noah as he's still in touch with him??

And where is Eli come from anyway?! Are we finally normalize mpreg?

Final final thoughts

I didn't like this movie. It was like a big bad Scallison fanfiction found on wattpad (ao3 is better). A lot of things were forgotten and other changed.

BUT

There's always a but (as in the Derek's "death" *wink wink*).

This movie gave us a lot of sterek material.

I'm afraid of what Jeff Davis' mind could possibly come with for another movie, probably more about Eli's past which means a mother for sure (unfortunately the world isn't ready for mpreg yet I'm afraid) and less sterek material. But at the same time I want to see Derek alive again, I want to see how they would manage with two true alpha and how Derek and Eli's relationship would evolve.

I want a lot of things to see but I'm afraid they won't give me any of them, so I can't decide either I want another movie or not.

Here's a ROTTMNT fanfic W.I.P I'm not going to finish,

it's 3k words long.

(TW/CW for injuries and feelings of guilt which result in reckless activity.)

oh god, he was so fucking bored, 

Sure Leo had practically gotten his shit handed to him in a nicely wrapped up present with a tiny blue bow by the Krang a couple months ago,

and sure he ended up passing out for an entire week after the adrenaline passed which gave his entire family a heart attack,

but that didn't stop the numbness crawl it's way through his chest, the small prickling feeling of dread make its way up his neck, or the heavy pit that stayed in his stomach as soon as he was left alone.

Boredom, Yeah, it's totally boredom, it could literally be nothing else, not fear, or anxiety, or guilt that he was the reason his family and the entire world was almost destroyed.

No, he was just bored.

He picked at his bandaged arms, staring at the ceiling scheming, he would make his escape tonight

"Nardo, do not." Donnie had entered the med bay and went to check his vitals,

"I wasn't going to do anything?!" Leo shot back, giving his brother an incredulous look,

Even though Donnie swore that twin telepathy wasn't a thing (or that they were twins because "We are literally two different species' of turtles, Dum Dum.") Donnie always knew when he was gonna pull some bullshit, 

"I mean stop picking at your bandages, Dum Dum." 

"Oh," Leo mentally sighed and decided to fidget with his fingers instead.

The plan was still on.

"And don't even think about leaving the med bay." he said momentarily glaring at leo, after he finished checking Leo's iv, 

Fuck.

"I- Me? Never. I'm out of commission, doc, you know that," He said faking a hurt tone, as if he was offended that Donnie would assume such a thing.

"I'm stuck here, I can barely stand," he pouted at Donnie, that was only partially not true. Leo had practiced hobbling around when everyone was asleep, 

Donnie raised a drawn on eyebrow at him, to which Leo returned with a half grin half smirk, 

There was a pause of silence before Donnie sighed, 

"Alright," Donnie started, 

Leo mentally cheered and smiled, 

"but i guess since you're stuck here," Donnie paused for a second, "I'm sure you won't mind me keeping you company?"

Leo's face fell while it was Donnie's turn to smirk, 

"I'm sure you'd love to have me, your older twin, stay with you." He continued with a smug grin, as he looked at Leo, who was busy looking half terrified,

Leo recovered and attempted to grin back, 

"Yea, sure," He blinked taking a minute, before opening and closing his mouth in thought of what to say next,

"Great." Donnie said, "Now, if you don't mind, dear brother, I need to get somethings done before I join you." He said with a monotone flourish before he left the med bay, 

as soon as he was out of earshot Leo cursed, sour that his dear twin brother managed to snuff out his plans, he laid his head back down on the pillow rolling his eyes at the ceiling,

his head was cramped with the thought of new york, how he used to run along rooftops with his brothers, fight crime, Go to "Run of the Mill" and annoy his second father figure Señor Hueso, 

he mostly missed the sounds, the bustling alive streets that were never quiet, which felt like a stark contrast to the med bay, 

where the only sounds were machines beeping signaling that Leo had somehow survived, dripping of sewer pipes buried somewhere within the walls, the hushed whispers and conversations that would happen infront of the med bay when his family thought he was asleep,

it all felt like too much, or too empty, sure his brothers would come in and talk to him, 

or try to, atleast.

It would usually end in an awkward silence as if they had no idea what to say, because what do you say to your brother who had sacrificed himself, who resigned himself a fate with practically no chance of survival?

it was usually with Raph that conversations died fast, because there was always something else he wanted to say, always something that just died on the tip of his tongue, Leo often wondered what it was, 

a part of him thinks it would be about Leo's stunt at the docks, how because of his inability to shut up they had been spotted, 

how he had disobeyed Raph and went after the key on his own without a single thought or plan on how he would have gotten out on his own, 

how Raph had to sacrifice himself for Leo and deal with the consequences which was forever memorialized on his face, an ugly scar over his eye, a reminder on how it was Leo's fault.

The sane part of Leo knows that Raph did not hold it against him, but it still was a terrifying, ugly thought that felt like hot coals were being shoved down his throat and burned smoke into his eyes.

with Mikey conversations flowed somewhat smoothly, Leo could sense he desperately wanted to bring out Dr. feelings but would supress it, 

They would continue to talk about skateboarding or a meme Mikey got from April, but no matter the subject Leo's eyes were always led to his baby brothers hands and forearms, 

They were painted with faint scars, jagged, thin and ran along his arms like dead tree branches, it was a show of Mikey's love and determination; a mark that shouldn't have to be there. 

Leo knew that Mikey struggled, his hands were filled with tremors, he could barely hold a pencil or a paintbrush anymore. 

Leo may have sacrificed himself, but Mikey? Mikey gave up his art, his ability to breathe life onto a blank page and Leo was the one who took it from him.

He had heard Mikey crying one night, from the darkness he could hear sniffles permeating through the lair, that reminded Leo of when they were kids and Mikey would skin his knees by tripping over his own feet from running too fast, 

Leo hated hearing Mikey cry which is why he had found those old knee pads, but this, this required more than knee pads, a bandaid, soft words and cuddles.

Leo had asked him about it one night and to his surprise Mikey answered truthfully, he had told Leo everything, how even though he was glad that ge managed to save Leo, he missed being able to draw, to paint, to create. 

That night ended in both Mikey and Leo crying, one with relief of finally unburdening themselves with pent up emotions, and the other with guilt.

Mikey was always so much stronger than him in that sense, he was so willing and open with his feelings. 

He would never tell Mikey this, knowing he would most definitely break out Dr. Feelings, but It made Leo feel sick with himself, It was another weight added to his stomach, another way he could torture himself,

Another reason as to why he should have been left in the prison dimension.

Leo couldn't believe his baby brother felt the need to save him.

He didn't need saving.

He didn't want it, not at the expense of his family.

If Mikey hadn't saved Leo, he wouldn't had to give up on his art. Not for a brother that fucked everything up.

But with Donnie it was different, it was easier.

His twin was never one for feelings or emotions, and rather preferred to sit with you in silence, and usually used small touches; a hand on your shoulder, as a way offering his presence as an anchor, or to say I'm here.

Leo was grateful for that in many ways, 

however, in this case, he wasn't.

Donnie had returned with some mush he called Leo's dinner,

Leo couldn't eat anything solid, Thanks to the Krang and his temper tantrum in the prison dimension, which in turn led him to have a diet of liquids and baby food.

Leo whinned as Donnie placed the plate of mushed up peas in front of him, 

"c'mon Donnieeee" he dragged, 

"I've been having shitty mashed peas for the past month. It's fucking disgusting and flavorless and boring."

Donnie gave him an unimpressed look, "Leon, you know very well why you have to eat the peas," Donnie sat down on the chair beside the bed, where for the past month or so, his brothers had been taking turns, to watch over an unconcious Leo.

The seat was, from what Leo had heard, had mostly been occupied by Raph. Donnie and Mikey being very close seconds.

"you're the team medic, and as team medic you know that your stomach pulled an AllMight and half of it got destroyed." Donnie crossed his arms as he talked and shifted in his seat.

"yeah, I know that, DonTron" he rolled his eyes, "I didn't ask 'why?' I just want something other than fucking peas, or atleast something with salt." He glared at the plate on his lap.

Donnie sighed, "Leon. Eat the fucking peas." 

Leo frowned at Donnie then the plate of peas, then at Donnie, then peas, Donnie, Peas, Donnie, Peas, and grimaced.

he groaned before using the plastic blue spoon that kindergarden children were most familiar with, and took a bite of the room temperature peas, making a disgusted face as he swallowed, 

He looked back at Donnie who was still seated next to him with his arms crossed, unimpressed with Leo's antics.

Leo scooped another spoonful, bringing it up halfway and paused, stared at the peas, and put it back down, turned to Donnie, 

"DonDonnnn, my arm hurts," he pouted.

Donnie pinched the bridge of his beak and groaned,

Leo smirked,

"Nardo, I swear on the pizza supreme in the sky." He looked at Leo, borderline glaring at him.

Leo stared back with a blank face, before it contorted into one of pleading.

Donnie swore under his breath that his brother was going to give him an ulcer before they turn 18, 

"Fine. Fine. I'll try and find something else."

Leo smiled back at Donnie. "Ohmigosh! Thank you, Thank you so so so much, Donnie, you are the greatest brother ever, have I ever told you tha-"

Donnie held out a finger to shut him up, "I said 'try'." He gave a tired sigh before he continued,

"and whatever I bring you have to eat it. no complaining, nothing. Got it?" He said eyeing Leo.

"Todd scouts honor." He said before drawing a cross with his finger on his plastron.

Donnie got up, narrowing his eyes at Leo as he got to the door of the med bay, before leaving. 

Leo wait a few minutes before he grinned, sat up and stretched over to place the peas on donnies seat, 

he swung his legs over the bed, using the iv stand to stabilize himself, before taking a few explorative steps, 

Leo removed the iv from his wrist and used the stand for a couple more steps, before attempting to stay upright on his own.

he wobbled, and stuck his arms out like a tightrope walker to keep steady, his face focused, tongue sticking out as he tried his best not to fall over.

Leo took a few more steps before he could comfortably walk, more like limp, around the Med bay.

He started making his way through the med bay trying his best to quiet his foot falls, and leaned out the door to see if anyone was coming, after he was satisfied, he went back in and made his way to one of the vents, 

he opened it and scurried inside, closing the vent behind him, his mind made an inkling thought of an among us joke, before he snickered and moved on.

Leo had memorized the ventilation shafts as a way to fight his boredom one night,

He made the necessary turns till he made it to his subway cart room.

He clambered down, and entered his room filled with Jupiter jim and lou jitsu posters and action figures, comic books sat in teetering piles near his unmade bed, as his twin katanas laid across his desk.

he grabbed his katana holders that was draped on his desk chair and struggled it over his carapace before taking one katana and placing it in the holder and using the other like a makeshift crutch.

he made his way to the back door of the subway cart and opened it, 

Leo used this exit many times before, especially on quiet nights when his insomnia was acting up and drinking tea or rewatching jupiter jim or lou jistu movies weren't working,

he'd make his way out of the abandonded subway tunnels, up to the surface and wander around, 

Leo did the same thing he'd been doing in the two years after Shredder had destroyed their first home, Before the krang Fucked up everything.

Except, now, he stumbled down the subway tunnels with his katana as a crutch rather than easily stroll like before.

Leo found his way to the surface taking a minute to stare at the sky, 

The similar sounds flooded his ears. The people. The constant movement and chatter. The soft goan of a new city being rebuilt over an old one.

Leo felt at peace, he felt lighter, as he dragged himself out of the abandoned subway catacombs, and made his way up onto the rooftops with the help of an old fire escape, 

he had at first decided to aimlessly wonder around to take in the sights and the feeling of his city.

It had been a long time. Way too long.

as he walked around he noticed that even though it was familiar, it was all so vastly different.

As the sounds of construction took up most of the air, there were more people than ever queuing up infront of food drives, and there were more crumbling and abandoned buildings than usual. 

Leo's face hardened, as he realized that these were all effects of the invasion.

Of the catastrophic event that rocked practically everyones shit.

He felt the stubbling feelings of guilt prickle its way through his chest, as he stared down at his city, his home.

Leo shook his head, he was here to feel better, to not feel bored anymore. 

That what he was going to do.

he pushed back the all encompassing thoughts and dread, all the way to the back of his mind, tonight is his night. 

The only night he'll allow himself.

Leo needed to get serious; about his family, his city, and himself.

Because it was never about him, it was never supposed to be. 

Leo looked back at the sky almost inky and dark, but dented with the city lights, proof to him that new york was healing and that it would all be ok.

Leo's stomach grumbled, as he was lost in his thoughts.

Leo hummed as if to let himself know that he recognized he was hungry.

a few mummbled thoughts went through his mind before he managed to pick one.

Run of the Mill. Señor Hueso.

He needed to check up on Hueso, and eat something that wasn't fucking flavorless peas.

Leo made his way across the rooftops till he reached the alleyway where Run of the Mill was hidden. 

He opened the mystic door and sauntered in, putting an air of "I'm completely ok, the casts, bandages and sword i'm using to keep myself from falling on my face are a fashion statement nothing more."

Leo was greeted with the warmth, smells and sounds the restraunt usually had, and for a second his mind melted, it was so familiar, it was exactly as he left it, and Leo loved it.

Too many things had changed and he was so glad that atleast one thing was the same.

Leo with the same sauntering pace limped with his sword, up to the counter, flashing a grin to the waitstaff.

"Heeeeeyyyyyyyy," Leo had proped himself against the counter, leaning his sword next to him.

The yokai manning the counter was a type of humanoid black bear who wore a black button down, and had an annoyed snarl placed on their face as they looked down at Leo.

"Do you think by any chance you can get me Señor Hueso? you see he is like a really good pal of mine," He paused expectingly, waiting for the bear to go get Hueso, but they stood there, still snarling.

"we are muy close, super duper close like almost like a mentor/mentee type of deal or one could even say father and son?" Leo stopped, raising his nonexistent eyebrows, a small part of him wondering if he should just leave.

But he continued anyway "actually more like uncle and nephew, anywhizzle, I'm sure he would love to see that i'm doing amazing," Leo gestured to himself, which would more likely disprove his point rather than help it.

"after the entire almost end of the world thing at the hands/tentacles of chewed up bubblegum." He tried to give the bear a smile in an attempt to convince him, 

there was silence as the yokai and Leo made eye contact for a solid minute, the bears ears flicking from time to time.

Leo broke first and groaned, "It's fine i'll just get him myself." and gave the bear a sarcastic smile, before peeling himself off the counter and hobbling into the bustling restraunt with his weight on his katana, towards Hueso's office.

The bear grunted as he did so, and greeted the next customer with silence.

Leo slowly weaved his way through the waiters and tables before making to the door of hueso's office, promptly knocking before he let himself in,

grinning as (humanely?) turtley possible, as he greeted Hueso with a "Heeeeyyyyy Boneman," and finger guns.

Hueso was on his office phone, his eyes, eyesockets? widened as he saw the turtle barge into his office, 

He muttered a quick assurance to whoever was on the phone before cutting the line.

Oh man I missed grabbing context for this but there was a secret room in the Palace with a fucked up torture shrine to Shiho. so like Princess Ann is Kamoshida's right hand girl, but he had like.... feelings? for shiho? which I guess manifested as her getting the worst of his abuse.

So her cognitive copy shows up to help him and it's supremely messed up and i hate this guy.

Ann faces off with him and has a golden opportunity to kill him, but refrains so he'll confess to his crimes. Which: gorl. Damn. You are strong as hell, I am not certain I would be able to do the same in your shoes. Ann is great.

Taking the treasure, the team gets the fuck out of there but WEIRD THING HAPPENS on the way out.

While the Palace collapses, everyone runs for it, but Morgana turns back into a cat????

Morgana only kind of knows how the Metaverse works frankly

and it so reminds me of Teddie, who understood for himself how the TV World worked, but didn't really know enough to figure out the broader picture of the real world and TV world interacting.

Morgana is convinced that they're a human and if they do the right thing in the Metaverse, they will regain their lost body and memories.

I am starting to think that's not the case and this is similar to how Teddie grew a humanboy body when he wanted to join the real world. Is Morgana a denizen of the Metaverse who subconsciously decided to grow a cat body to interact with Reverie and co?

Rise and Teddie made it clear there is no such thing as a true self, so I am curious what Morgana determines themself to be.

Chasing Wings: Ch. 01 Lore/Story

Initially I planned on cross-posting, but unfortunately Tumblr has a character limit...? So, it's going strictly on Ao3 but every post WILL link to it. I also have it open so you shouldn't ever need an account to read.

This is purely optional, just me detailing what in-game lore that is either being used or speculated on. Gonna try and not mix-up which is which, buuut my memory is... Bad. So apologies in advance if you opt to read and notice mistakes. Corrections are appreciated!!!

LORE:

• The Not-Wolves are, if it wasn't obvious, Riftwolves. This story is at its base a, "what if?" Story. To an extent it is following canon, but there are major deviances that get revealed throughout.

• I recently checked and it just says, "able to erode the boundary of the world."

STORY:

• You the reader can easily parse out that Venti is still Barbatos without his memory, but you'll get the why and how that resulted in the amnesia.

• The terror is a combination of part of him that still feels the horrors of the Cataclysm, and also because as a Wind Spirit when I wrote this for some reason I thought Riftwolves dissolved Elements? Which was... Kind of right? Story is more leaning towards Riftwolves are capable of destroying Elemental Creatures. Poor Slimes.

•  Venti has no idea what Riftwolves are currently, was escaping a bad situation prior to this, isn't aware he has the ability to defend himself, and in that moment genuinely believes he's only human against monsters. As he starts to make sense of himself and the world, we'll see more the Venti we know and less the confused amnesiac.

LORE:

• When Venti calls for help and Xiao answers, it was a choice inspired by implications within the game? Obviously, in canon, Xiao tells the Traveler to "say my name," in order to summon him. But after literal millenia of rescuing people from dead gods and monsters, there's a sort of subtle implication that he's also listening for someone crying for help.

→In Lantern Rite 3.4, Paimon calling for help *in general* results in Xiao (and Shenhe, as a heads-up) appearing to rescue them. A link to the scene if you're interested/missed it. In a different Lantern Rite you have Paimon just calling for Xiao in general to get his attention, and goes ignored. This is probably a fandom agreed upon thing, but it feels nice including just in case!

• As for the "Evil Conquering" reference to his Burst... It's just kind of fun incorporating aspects of gameplay into writing. It also mentions his Skill that he uses, and there is another chapter with a reference to one of his Talents. Gameplay mechanics mean that the devs have to limit the true extent of character capability to maintain balance, but they do serve as a basis to build upon and incorporating that just seems beneficial to keep story connection.

• Venti's hair glowing when using Anemo - this is a trend we see with all Archons in terms of using their God-like abilities. I have a personal theory of what's actually happening with that, but including that theory meant Venti not having glowy hair/eyes/tattoos and that seemed a CRIME. I refused to commit it. So, not including my personal theory on that, but if you're curious so long as you've played Fontaine as of 4.5 (when I'm writing this) I can share.

• Venti's singing alleviating the karmic debt from Xiao. So I feel like majority of the XiaoVen fandom is aware of this, but just in case: The Teaser That Did the Thing. There's also Lantern Rite 3.4, and if you haven't seen the full thing at this point I would just recommend giving it a watch. We get some great lore and character background. If you just want a summary of my reference, Xiao (Maximum Awkwardly) and Venti (Maximum... Venti-ly?) imply the two bumped into each other and Venti once more helped with the karmic debt. There's also a trailer for that Lantern Rite of when they bump into each other, but again it doesn't relate to this point but all the same, good lore there.

STORY:

• The dream in the middle of the chapter. So, this was actually... The start of the chapter. And there was a LOT more than came after it. But the more I wrote, the longer it took just to get to Xiao and literally the entire reason I started this fic was to write Soft Softness between those two. And The Plot was getting in my way. So I broke it up, and it is now spread throughout multiple chapters. At this point, I will tell you two of those voices are in-game NPCs I am utilizing, one is 100% a character made exclusively for Plot, and the fourth... Well, started as an NPC, but now there's rumor they'll be a Vision user and playable so they're getting reworked to entirely original for Plot. Please know effort is being made to minimize usage of original characters, as Genshin is crawling with NPCs.

• Am big fan of Venti and Hu Tao friendship. Is the best. I apologize, poetry is my weakest weakness and I promise you... I jump through hoops to not have to keep writing it to a minimum. I don't want to keep inflicting psychic damage to myself and readers. Using song lyrics occurred to me, but I was unable to find any that would work for that super specific situation, so again. Apologies.

ACTUAL Author's Note: Please note that this is a fic within in a fic. The "author" is a gotham citizen who, like many women her age in gotham, ship the Batman with Bruce Wayne, unaware that they are the same person. Any authors notes from Me, the real life author, will be noted as ACTUAL authors notes. "Authors Notes" are part of the plot, make sure to read them. If you leave questions or suggestions I will clarify whether its Me (the Actual Author, aka Kris) or the fictional author that replies. Also: this has not been edited very well and was written on my phone inbetween shifts at work. If the grammar or spelling is bad just lemme know and I'll edit it.

Author's Note: Hey guys! My name is Melanie, this is my first fic on here! I only recently found the Batman x Bruce Wayne shippers online and MY GOD you guys are such good writers! As with most fics, I'm gonna be using the name that others in the fandom have come up with for Batman. I know there are a few names popping up but this is the one I see the most. ALSO: This fic starts about a year and a half after Batman first started popping up so thats why everyone is so young in this! They'll age up as we go! If anyone has any Batman info that I might've missed or that you think could be useful just leave it in the replies! Same goes for the Wayne family!

Chapter 1:

Despite what the media may think of him, Bruce is not, in fact, a complete idiot. Yes, he's super rich, and yes, he definitely gets around, but he's not as stupid as the public seems to think. He's trusted by the board, and thus knows when things at Wayne Enterprises aren't going to plan.

"Mr. Wayne, this is the tenth time that prototypes have been stolen like this from the company. As with the last nine times, we've already involved the police, but we both know how this is going to go. This man didn't leave a trace behind. We have to start an inside investigation or else this will keep happening" Lucius told him. And it was true, no one could find the missing tech.

Well, that isn't quite true.

They could easily find it, they just didn't have a way of getting it back.

10 times. 10 times Wayne Tech prototypes have gone missing. And 10 times the Batman has shown up with very similar tech afterwards.

By this point everyone knew about him. No one knows who he is or exactly what he is. But for a year and a half he's been doing better at controlling Gotham's crime rates than the police have ever dreamed of doing. Some think he's God's gift to Gotham. Others think he's the Devil himself. Bruce, however, finds him intriguing. He always loved a good mystery, and this man was a mystery in combat boots.

Bruce had a system by now. Make 2 duplicate prototypes of everything. It's worked the past 7 times, with only one per going missing. And even for the first 3 times, notes would be found 3 weeks later, presumably from Him, providing notes on what could be improved and various diagnositic reports that he had run. The only reason Bruce didn't turn those handwriting samples into the police was because those diagnostic reports and improvement notes were always extremely helpful. At this point, he almost awaits the notes him and the tech team will get from the Bat, knowing that it will help make a more marketable product in the end. Maybe even take out some villains in the process.

"How much money are we wasting just letting this continue?" One of the other board members asked.

"We aren't letting it continue, we are buying our time. I don't want an in-person visit from you-know-who." Lucius explained.

"Mr. Wayne, what are we suppose to do about this?"

"Well, the financials from last quarter came back. Those first 2 prototypes were released officially, and did great. Maybe 2 minor bugs reported. And thats much less than the 27 major bugs reported by you-know-who. Who knows, if we really start running the numbers, we might be profitting off him." Bruce said.

"Did he leave another typewriter note?" Lucius asked.

"Yes. Tech team found it this morning" Bruce said. That was a lie. All the notes were handwritten. Done in one hell of a rush with some very shaky writing. Every few weeks, Bruce would spend maybe an hour transcribing it on a typewriter to give to the tech team. He couldn't explain why he was so devoted to helping the Bat, but it was such an interesting mystery to him that he almost didn't wanna know the answer.

"Mr. Wayne! I've got something I wanna show you!"

Bruce turned to see who was calling out to him, even though he could've guessed easily. Every Sunday after the board meeting, Bruce makes his way to the engineering lab at Wayne Tech. And every Sunday, Abel wants to show him something.

Abel Bates was one of the first hires Bruce made upon returning from his travels abroad. He had just finished his time in Japan when Abel applied for a lead tech engineer position. Fresh out of grad school, he showed potential in applied tech. Both the more experimental things and simplier, household appliances.

"Abel.... why the hell am I looking at a straw?" Bruce asked. Quite literally the only thing on the table was a single bendy straw.

"I know it doesn't look like it Mr. Wayne, but this is possibly the best thing I've ever invented"

"Abel you've worked here for 2 years please stop calling me Mr. Wayne. I'm 28, I'm not that old." He said. Abel was only 2 years younger, and yet always insisted on calling him "Mr. Wayne". Bruce respected him, and would honestly love to be friends with him, but he can't drink a glass of wine or whiskey with someone who called him "Mr."

"Sorry Bruce. Old habits die hard, ya know? Anyway, I think this could really be something amazing! The chemical compounds took a while to get right, and figuring out the right elasticity and texture, and how the bend should work-"

"Ok listen unlike you I don't have a degree in this, so just tell me why a straw is so important."

"Yeah, ok. So, people with a wide array of disabilities can't use reusable straws. Like if someone has involuntary movements the metal straws could break a tooth. If someone has trouble moving the silicone straws won't work cause they don't bend right. Disposable straws are the only ones that tend to work right, because they bend correctly and are soft. Well, I was thinking about it, and I decided I would fix that! Make a reusable straw that is accessible to disabled people and that won't cause them any sort of pain."

This is why Bruce hired Abel. He's very offbeat, very socially awkward at times, and often in his own head. But due to constantly being left alone with his thoughts, he thinks about the stuff no one else bothers to. Thus he'll invent something you never realized was a necessity.

"Have you done any testing? You know, just to make sure you aren't gonna hurt someone with this?"

"Not a whole lot. We did take it over to Gotham Medical and had some stroke victims try it. They were able to use it just fine. We had the caretakers try to wash it and thats where we're running into trouble. It's a bit too much on the thin side, but if we make it thicker we run into the problem the silocone straws have." Abel explained. "We'd also lose the bending mechanism and I worked hard on that".

"Do you have any ideas to fix it?"

"Not yet, but I'm gonna keep working on it."

"Well, I think it's a great idea. I do have to ask why you know so much about straws and disability though." Bruce asked.

"I saw a story in the paper a few months ago. A teenage girl had a seizure while she had a metal straw in her mouth. Her jaw clamped down, and afterwards her family had to ask for donations to help with the dental work. It made me really sad and so I researched if thats a common problem and turns out it is! So, yeah, working on fixing it." Abel explained. As per usual, he couldn't look Bruce in the eye while speaking. He looks so shy and yet could talk and talk for hours while never really looking at you.

"Didn't expect you to be a newspaper guy."

"Gotta support local journalism!"

"I feel like you could do that by reading a blog."

"Blogs don't pay the bills"

"I suppose." Bruce said. "Hey, were you able to get any of the bugs from the latest note fixed?"

"I haven't, no. I think its Claire who's working on that. Apparently she knows a lot about gas masks cause the second that note showed up she had all sorts of ideas on how to fix it." Abel explained.

"Alright, just ask her to text me when she has updates. Listen, I gotta go. I've got lunch with Lucius. You should come with us one of these days!"

"Maybe. You have a good one Mr. Wayne!"

"Stop calling me that!" Bruce said before closing the door behind him.

I'm on the last season of riverdale Blue! This is gonna be awkward if you haven't seen it, but seeming you fill us in about yourself, I feel it's only fair that I tell you about what I be binging or whatever.

I remember when it first came out and I was in middle school, and all the girls would rave on about it, including my friends. I didn't have any interest whatsoever for it back then, but I was a bit slower then other teens, never looking to grow up too fast or finding interest in these teen drama series 😂 But I'm older now and I actually like the series, it's not bad.

No one asked! But. My favourite is definitely Jughead honestly. Archie andrews might be good looking sure, but there's a lot about his characters mentality that just turns me off 😂 Throughout the seasons I get hot and cold with Veronica honestly. And I fucking love Betty. Everytime! She calls someone "Bitch" I gotta laugh. I don't know what series I'll be moving onto next.

I always be rewatching the same movies or shows and I think most ppl can relate.

So if you have any series or movies you can recommend. I like all kinds of movies/series. From biographies to rom-coms to animated and cartoons, fantasy.

Death Note is an anime that I will probably recommend to people until the day I die. It was my first real anime and I have to tattooed on me for a reason. The story is so unique and interesting and dark and amazing. It’s nearly perfect in my opinion. Definitely worth checking out.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is another amazing anime. It’s actually my favorite. It’s one of the most well-written shows I’ve ever seen.

Someone Great is a Netflix movie that I really adore. Full disclosure, the dialogue can be a bit cringey at times, but the heart that the movie has is incredible. And it made me sob like a baby the first time I watched it so maybe have tissues nearby lol

Pretty much anything by Mike Flanagan. But specifically, his Netflix series. The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass are all favorites of mine. They’re all dark, but the themes and characters are so well done I’m obsessed.

Arcane is a great show I just recently got into. (Shoutout to @teyamsatan for putting me on because oh my god 😍) the animation is phenomenal and there’s so many well-written characters and it’s legitimately unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. I love it.

Black Mirror is great if you’re looking to get mind fucked lol. My only advice though is to skip the very first episode. (Just trust me on this). You can go back and watch it later if you want, but do yourself a favor and don’t start there. It’s an anthology series so you won’t miss anything. But it’s all dark, dystopian, technology, craziness.

If you like documentaries/true crime stuff, Making a Murderer on Netflix is absolutely bonkers and you should definitely give it a look. The case is wild from beginning to end and it had me legitimately yelling at my tv the first time I watched it.

Just eaten sushi and watching true crime YT.

Starting a "job" on Monday. It's a practise job to get a routine again. After being unemployed and out of a proper routine since Dec.2019 it's gonna be good to have something to do again! Something to wake up to! Time to get busy again! ✌

Yeah it's at the same carpenting place where I worked for a whole year, many years ago but the people there are so nice and it was the best job I ever had! ❤ (even though it doesn't really count as a real job)! I'm looking forward to work and therapy! 🥰 (if only the psych. people can hurry up and give me more info. It's been a month already since I called them!!)
