Books of the Untitled One (or, why I'm here)

In case my pinned post didn't clue you in, when I'm not not writing, I'm busy writing a series of NA Fantasy books with the eventual intent of publishing them BUT I won't be doing anything with them until I've written all of them. I can't work under pressure. Honestly, I can barely work at all (I'm medically retired), but under pressure my brain becomes a brick and it's a total death knell to writing.

So, it's going to be a while before anyone reads these books, but in the meantime I'll probably talk about them occasionally because it's pretty much my whole world these days.

That being said, Who is the Untitled One?

I have a pantheon of eight deities, the oldest of which is the Abyssal Wanderer who can either save souls and send them into the safety of the other gods' realms, or he can hurl them into the Abyss to be recycled and used to create new life.

Then came the dragon gods, Baslettoch the Black Dragon and Glinorel the White Dragon, gods of fire and ice respectively. Their realms are this world's equivalent of the sun and the moon. Baslettoch's fire created an environment that was warm enough to sustain life, while Glinorel's icy barrier protects the world from being torn apart by the Abyss.

After the dragons came the wolves, who combined their magics with the dragons to create their own gods: the Green Wolf and the Gold Wolf. The Green Wolf is the god of the Hunt, while the Gold Wolf is the goddess of the harvest. They brought agriculture and caused societies to form.

And with societies came the elves, who took what the wolves had created and refined it to the extent that not every member of a society had to devote all their time to sustaining themselves: now there was time to think and play. Syris, a mathematician and philosopher, sought to preserve His wife for all eternity by turning himself and her into gods by combining the magics of the wolves and dragons with the latest magical discoveries made by the elves, but He made an error in the ritual and accidentally killed His wife and turned His daughter Syrene, an artist and musician, into a goddess instead. The elven gods thus brought about culture.

But then came the humans, whom the elves deemed imperfect and barbaric, unworthy imposters of the elven race. The humans were banished from the elven paradise and forced to find their way across the harsher terrains of the sea and the wildlands. The humans were desperate, and envious, so they created one last goddess to even the score with the other gods. She became the Lady of Last Resort, called upon by thieves and murderers, and all those in times of desperate need, but you what they say about necessity and what She is the mother of... Widely regarded as a goddess for the unlucky, most don't speak Her names, instead choosing to refer to her as the Untitled One.
