Her sad demise reportedly happened on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, has confirmed the sad news.
He, however, did not give details about the death of the renowned Nollywood actress.

Medical Doctor arrested by Police allegedly for Child trafficking
A medical doctor identified as Dr. Happiness Enyinnaya Iheukwumere, has been arrested by men of the Rivers State Police Command for allegedly trafficking four children to different parts of the country.
Parading the suspect yesterday, the state Commissioner of Police, Emeka Nwonyi, said a case of abduction was reported to operatives of the command on September 9 by a 35-year-old mother, Ijeoma James, in Awalama Rumuokoro, Obio/Akpor Local Council of the state.
Nwonyi stated that the abduction happened on August 18, saying James reported that on that day, one man known as Promise came into their compound and stole her four-year-old son, Prosper James, and all efforts to locate her child proved abortive.
He explained that following the report, detectives from the Special Area Division swung into action using intelligence-led policing, which led to the arrest of one Ifesinachi Opara. He said the arrest of Opara led to the arrest of Dr. Hagi, to whom he sold the child.
He disclosed that further investigation led to the recovery of three more children trafficked by Hagi from different locations in the country. Nwonyi said his men rescued three children abducted in Benue State from different locations in Port Harcourt where they had been sold. They include a one year, seven months old child known as Benedict Kpaaka; four-year-old Godgift Julius and a six-year-old female simply identified as Philomina.
The CP, however, noted that further investigation revealed that one 25-year-old Angel Shimeson, female, still at large, was the supplier of the children to Hagi, adding that efforts were being intensified to arrest the suspect.
Speaking with journalists after being paraded by the police, the doctor confessed to the crime, saying he was into the trade to assist couples, mostly his patients, who are unable to bear children.
He claimed that he did it for the first time, adding that the deals were not done for ritual purposes. He said: “Actually, there have been some families that have been coming to me for medical treatment and their cases have proved that they cannot have children. So, in a situation like this, they asked if there is any child that they can adopt to have as their own.
“When information came from the police, I had to call them to bring back the children and these people have been taking care of the children. But if it was for evil intentions they would not have returned them. I involved myself in it because I know the family. This is my first time. Yes, I am a practising medical doctor and I am a member of the NMA.
“Why I did not follow the legitimate process was because I was looking at the process of registering and getting all the papers; it may take a longer time and the pressure these people were giving me was much. So, that is why. I am not denying it. I did it; I own it and I will also face whatever consequences. But I am pleading with the government to temper justice with mercy.” Commenting, Ijeoma James expressed joy to have been reunited with her son.

What Actress Ada Ameh went through before her death
Popular Nollywood Actress, Ada Ameh has died. The actress, known for her role as Emu in Africa Magic family drama, The Johnsons, died in Warri, Delta State around 11 pm on Sunday. She was aged 48.
Ameh was said to have been a guest of the owner of an oil company toyshop and his family when she suddenly collapsed. It was gathered that she was rushed to the NNPC’s hospital but passed on before they arrived the facility.
The most shocking thing about her death is that she had shared a video of her eating with the family around 12:53pm on Sunday on her official Instagram page.
Though the NNPC hospital, Warri, has yet to make public the autopsy report, her sudden death may not be unconnected with the many travail she had gone through.
Though Ameh’s death is coming as a rude shock, the truth is that the actress went through hell and battled with mental health issues long before she finally gave up the ghost. She had been undergoing mental health challenges silently until she opened up about it.
She got pregnant with her daughter, Aladi Godgift, at 13, due to an early exposure to sex. And On 20 October,2020, she lost that daughter (her only child) who was over 30 years old.
Aladi died after an unsuccessful surgery in Abuja. The actress visited her daughter’s grave site last year to mark her one-year remembrance. She also celebrated her daughter on the latter’s posthumous birthday.
Before 2020, she lost six of her siblings (three brothers and three sisters). She then started battling with depression. In March of 2022, she lost yet another sister.
Recall that a few weeks ago, the actress had opened up about her mental health challenges. “Everything is going to be fine. I have an issue right now, and it’s taking my life. I will not die. We will get over it,” she had said. The actress also said that she was given a job but could not carry it out because she was undergoing mental issues.
Born on 15 May, 1974 in Ajegunle, Lagos, Ameh became famous following the role of Anita she played in the movie ‘Domitilla’ in 1996. She was also recently celebrated for her comic characters especially in the series, The Johnsons.
An Idoma lady, Ada Ameh had her primary and secondary education in Lagos but quit school at 14. Some of the movies she featured in include: “Oloture”, “Our Husband”, “King Of Shitta”, “Ghana Must Go”, “A Million Baby”, “My Village People”,
The movie, My Village People, tells the story of Prince a young man who, as a result of his irresponsible lifestyle, finds himself in a bizarre love triangle with witches. It was released in Nigerian theatres on 11 June, 2021.
