Part 2 of Black Gods and Goddesses [Greek]
There's probably going to be Part 3 and I may edit this one. I'm a little unsure of Hermes. I think Glover would be a good Pan, God of Wildnerness and Fertility 🤔 You can find Part 1 on my Dashboard or under the tag #blackgodsandgoddesses
Edit (2021)
A few things. One, idgaf about yt ppl complaining that im "stealing" their culture. Im a Black woman in the U.S. Our culture, creativity, and bodies are consumed and imitated by nonblack people around the globe. This is not that. If existing, I doubt gods or an other entity could be boxed in by human constructs of race or gender. (Also, are there not Black Greeks? Its an ethnicity or nationality, not a race, I-)
Secondly, about Hephaestus! People keep saying "isn't he ugly though?" While Im glad we all agree Chadwick Boseman was fine, I think the Smith's description was based in ableism that wanted to paint disability as undesirable; therefore, making it his marriage with Aphrodite an appropriate punishment for a goddess who was supposed to be one of the most beautiful and desirable among of the gods.
Im not about to scour the internet looking for a Black person to call "ugly," "lame", or "undesirable." Those are labels too often connected to Blackness and Black people. And unfortunately, there is a severe lack of Black disabled actors visible in media. I like Chadwick and there are other factors that led me to my "casting" decisions than looks alone. He was humble, hard-working, warm, and talented. I think its a great fit.

Quote
“You want me … to return to the Underworld with you?” “Yes.” His answer was resolute, his gaze unflinching. She felt exposed, like he was looking through her and into her. She bit her bottom lip and tilted her head with a hint of a smile. “And why would you want that?” Hades raised an eyebrow; he was certainly willing to flatter her if that’s what she wanted. “I’ve missed you, Persephone.” The sound of her name passing his lips electrified her, like it was awakening a part of her that had lay dormant the past half year. “And the Underworld needs both its rulers.”

Don't forget you can chat to the Gods or the dead even if you can't hear their reply.
Tell them about your day. Tell them about the cute dog you saw on your way to work. Tell them about the person that let you in in traffic (or cut you off lol).
Just because you cannot hear them does not mean they cannot hear you. Just because you cannot feel them doesn't mean they are not with you.

HEY GUYS!
So, I've been making some aesthetic phone wallpapers for the Gods and Goddesses. Most of these are requested from others for their deities and I am more than happy to make them for you all! It costs nothing, it's a fun thing for me.
Here are the ones that I've made. The Aphrodite one is my lockscreen and the Apollo one my home screen.

gods & goddesses: the crone
The Crone represents the Goddess in Her aspect as Elder. She is the Wise Woman, the Witch and the Matriarch. The Crone is the Goddess of Death, and magic, and the Spirit realm. She is also the Goddess of Wisdom, visions, and guidance and the Great Sorceress Who creates her will through magic. As a Goddess of Transformation, the Crone is the Destroyer who dissolves outmoded forms, allowing new growth to occur, so the Crone deals with the end of cycles and death. She has been called the Terrible Mother, the Dark Mother and the Wise One and may be the least understood and feared of the three aspects. Her color is black, the absorber of all light, and the color of darkness where all life rests before re-birth. Her season is winter and her Moon is the Waning Moon. Her symbols are Lantern of truth and wisdom.
