RECURRING MUTUAL AID POST: SHORTENED+UPDATES

many of you are already familiar with our situation, but for a recap we have been homeless going on a little over a month (i think? everything blends together) in and out of cheap motels when we are able to, and sleeping in parks & elsewhere when we can’t. we both suffer from multiple mental illness disabilities & i suffer from multiple physical handicaps resulting from car accidents, work accidents, and abuse and we’re both the product of abusive households and C-PTSD. we’ve applied for food assistance, but it will be atleast another 7-10 days before we recieve our card. we also live in an exceedingly rough area - maybe youve heard of Flint, Michigan? being on the street here is extremely unsafe, and access to resources is slim to null.

Our goal is to SAVE $600-$1000 as is this would be enough to put us on a trajectory out of this situation.

however, daily expenses - such as food, water, and the motel room make it VERY difficult to save what we get to put towards the larger goal. poverty is expensive, and having a decent sum at one time is the key to get out of this mess.

I hate having to do this but my mom might have to move back in soon with my siblings due to not being able to pay rent and that means there won't be room for us to live in the family house so! Elle and I have to find our own place. Ive started a fundraiser for us and any donation helps but also a share does as well! We are still struggling to cover everything financially after getting kicked out by my girlfriend's dad after he physically attacked her. Sorry for another d/nation post but I'm afraid we're in another desperate spot. For those who don't know, my family and I (father and younger sibling) have been homeless and living in a motel as of November 2021. I've been doing emergency commissions to try and keep up with the room and food costs, but recently I've barely been getting work and its left us severely struggling the last couple months. The people that run the motel have been kind enough to extend our time but it's been two days without paying since even with us given extra time we haven't been able to pay them back for two days now; and we just got a call that we only have four hours to get the money together before we'll be kicked out.

Since we have no family or friends help with a home or money, or a car, we'll be on the streets if we cannot stay here. Our situation is incredibly dire and we seriously need any help we can get. Since we've missed the past two nights, we owe 150$ for tonight and we haven't been able to get a cent of what we need yet, so tonight really isn't looking good for us.

To be specific, triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma, an aggressive kind. We have house payments, bills, and other family expenses that I cannot share at the moment that are taking a large portion of our money. Okay I know I haven't posted much due to dealing with a lot of things in the background and I'm not gonna lie, we are in dire need of help now. If we do not pay it by the 13th of this month, we will lose our house.
