Personal...

I know I've been quiet compared to how active I had been, but I needed time off and time to think.

Now I can share some good news: I got accepted into graduate school to get my Master's degree.

Do you want to guess what kind of program is it 😏?

Creative Writing!!

This past year has been amazing and getting into the sxf fandom is partly responsible for this decision: it made me write again and fall in love with writing all over again too.

After a year of writing fics nonstop, I realized I needed a break because I was severely burnt out and while on that break, I realized that, although I love the story, what I missed the most and loved the most about the fandom was actually the writing part. That gave me so much clarity.

Now about writing for the fandom, l'll be very honest with you: I don't know what to do about my WIP fics. I have three ongoing fics and I'm starting my master's soon, so I'm debating between using this time before school starts to try to finish at least a couple that are near completion or just concentrate on my own project that I'll be working on during my master's. I don't know.

But, I'm really happy I'm going back to school!! And I'm really happy the program is about something I love.

Kudos to my lovely husband who, when I told him about applying he said: "Go for it! I think it's the right move for you." And who also told me he was proud of me when I found out that I had been accepted into the program 😌💖

That's it! Those are my news 😁 Hopefully I'll learn a ton about writing. Maybe I'll post some things about that here 😉

What I hoped wasn't going to be permanent is more than likely permanent.

I was an idiot and let it slip at work that I'm disabled a couple mouths ago.. The past six weeks, I've only worked one day instead of my usual two. It's still a little bit of money coming in. It's not like I'm fired, but I think I need to move going back to college up to Summer versus Fall so I can get out of my current job faster.

I'm the most excited I've been in years! On the 21st o get to finally start my anthropology degree. I'm starting with English Comp, Interpersonal Communications, Psychology, and Cultural Anthropology.

I just wanna get started already! I can't wait to really actually learn again. It's cool learning things on my own but itll be so nice to have guidance and structure again :)

I don’t know who needs to hear this but you don’t have to do college all in one go. You can take a semester, a year, or even a decade off, and it will still be there when you come back.

(Unless you’re in law school or something. Then you gotta. But undergrad is generally more flexible.)

I'm starting my new venture which requires me to do somethings that are & will be hard for me. When I get overwhelmed, I tend to want to stop, cry, & not touch it again. I don't like being pushed to my limits but at the same time I do because I know it will propel me towards my goals.

I am and will continue to do my best, to not allow fear to hold me back. I know I am much smarter and greater than my fears so in moments like these, I have to remind myself to breathe. Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

If you give up before you even get started, you'll never get to where you need to be. So slow down, take your time, & breathe through it.
