The boy next door.

Jeong Yunho

I was getting ready for school in the morning while my friend was waiting for me in the living room. She always came to my house and technically she woke me up by pressing the doorbell. After I was done I got some food from the fridge and went outside.

As we went outside a tall guy from the house next door kindly waved to us. Seeing his smile was our morning rutine. His name was Yunho and he was really kind and funny. I never really talked to him because I just dont know how to start a conversation and I dont want to embarress myself. What am I supposed to say? I ask him how is he and we sit in silence? I would bury myself. My friend on the other hand is really talkative so she sometimes says hi to him and they talk for a few minutes while I try to join them, but somehow I always end up listening to them and only saying hi and bye.

The only time I could talk to him is when hes here in the morning because in school, he is with his friends and I'd rather die then go up to them.

My friend and I said goodbye to Yunho who gave me a warming smile and I felt myself blush. I mean who wouldn't blush when hes smiling at them. On our way to school my friend looked at me with a smirk then decided to talk.

"Are you blushing?"

My eyes widened. Is it this obvious? I gave her an angry look.

"Of course not!, I wouldn't even have a chance if i maybe liked him!" Told my friend and after I realized I told her a little too much than what the question was.

She looked at me smiling and she was teasing me the whole day.

After school ended I went in my room and decided to listen to some music. As I layed in my bed I realized I wanted to get some fresh air so I went outside and walked a little.

As I was looking at the river that was behind my house a familiar voice was getting closer to me. I turned around and it was Yunho. He was smiling at me and said the friendliest, most heart warming hi that I ever heard. I almost forgot to say something but then I managed to say a hello. I quickly turned around facing the river when he came next to me. He was so close I could smell his perfume and feel his warmth. After he kneeled down to tie his shoes his warmth from my arms went away and I wanted it back more than anything. As he stood up again I was smiling to myself looking at the ground because I thought if Im looking at the river he would see that I was smiling but if I look down he sees nothing. Well I was wrong.

"What are you smiling at?" asked Yunho with a cheerful voice, I think he was smiling at me at that moment.

"Nothing" I said while looking at the other direction thinking he knows it. But what does he know. I wasnt even sure with my feelings until now. I liked Yunho. I was just scared to admit it myself because even tho he was the sweetest person I knew, he seemed like someone who would only like me as a friend. Which was already amazing because who wouldn't wanna be the friend of him but being only friends with someone who you just want to kiss and never let go feels like torture. I was sure in my feeling at the moment he felt so close to me. Him just being that near me felt like the world would collapse if he moved just a little bit. Maybe he was my world but he only sees me as 'that one girl from the house next door'.

After my head was nearly exploding with thoughts I got back to reality and noticed that while my head was full with questions and feelings, we tood there in silence the whole time. It could've been 10 mins or just 2. Then I checked my phone and we've been standing there for 8 minutes. If I was just standing here, how come he didn't leave? Why did he stay here? I looked at him and as soon as my head turned to him he looked into my eyes with a serious face. "Is it because I didn't say anything? What if he secretly hates me?" These thoughts went in my head when all of the sudden he pulled me into his arms and gave me a hug. Now I could feel his warmth next to me. He placed his jaw on the top of my head while my face was in his chest. I was suprised at first but after realizing what was happening I hugged him back as tight as possible. I dont know how long did we hug but it felt like eternity for me. After I let go of him and looked up to him I felt my cheeks get red. I was still processing what happened when asked me if I wanna get some ramen. I was pretty hungry so I said sure even tho I was scared I wouldn't be able to eat anything because yea Im getting food but who am I getting food with.

As we got there we ordered and even tho I wanted to pay for my meal he said no and payed for both of our food. Technically I got free food and a hug from him, this day just cant get better.

After we finished food we went on a walk together and we talked about everything. Started with favorite food, ended with what color should i paint my nail next. We got so comfortable around each other so fast, I didnt even noticed it. We were smiling each other the whole time. If there was a little colder the smile could've freeze on our face. We sat down at a bench in a park and I got pretty cold.

"We could go home if you want to" said Yunho as he checked the time on his phone.

"No, no its okay I really enjoy spending time with you."

"Me too but I think you should go home before go get a cold. We could do this tomorrow again if you want to"

I was really cold but as soon as he said this I felt warmth and smiled while he walked me home. As we arrived at my house he hugged me goodbye and I walked inside like a whole new person. I was smiling as I took of my coat and walked upstairs and went into my room. I put on a big blanket and as I was looking out the window to see it has started snowing. As I reached for my phone to take a picture I noticed a message from Yunho. At first I didn't know how did he get my number so I asked him

"Hey Y/N"

"Hey Yunho, How did you get my number?"

"When you moved here you gave every neighboor your number, remember?"

As soon as I remembered that I really did that I just smiled and send him a phone of the snow, like he wasnt in the house next to mine.

We talked on the phone for so long, the next morning I overslept.

"How the hell did nobody noticed that Im not in the car"

I called my friend how did she not came here and she said she was sick. I mean okay she did not wake me up but how my parents didn't notice Im not in the car.

It was almost noon when I woke up so I didn't even try to get to school because as soon as I would get there, I could just go home.

I texted Yunho telling him I overslept and he said I missed a lot from not going to school a half day. It

always happens when Im not there.

He was telling me about the things I missed and when the last bell rang he asked me if he can call me while he gets home and then we can go on a walk.

Yunho arrived on my driveway and was waiting for me but it looked like it was freezing out there so I grabbed two hand warmers from my desk and went outside and gave one to him with a huge smile on my face.

"When did you become so smily?" asked Yunho with also a smile.

I didnt want to tell him that in this cold nobody can tell if im blushing or currently freezing to death so I just said its good to see him. He kinda looked happy that I said this but I dont want high expectations so lets just say he always smiled like this.

As we went on the road he was walking with his hands in his pockets and it looked like there was something but then I remembered I gave him a hand warmer, but mine looked like it was nothing there. I didnt really think about it that much until we sat down in a chinese restaurant. As we ate the food he was talking about how much he likes rings with important people. If I see it right he is wearing 2 rings, so I guess theres 2 important people in his life, and as I was thinking about this he said one of them is just a ring that he likes and the other one is a matching ring with one of his really close friend. I thought that was cute, and at the moments he pulled out a ringbox. Even tho we were just talking about how he has matching rings I really thought this was a marrige proposal. He opened it and it had two rings inside, a smaller one and a little bit bigger. It really looked like the one that you have at weddings. I was thinking, what if he wants to have matching rings with me. Turns out I was right and he reached for my hand and put the ring on my finger.

My whole face was red, no word came out of my mouth and it became more akward when the lady next to us congratulated us thinking we're about to get married. Yunho and I looked at each other and then to the lady and I was about to say something about us only being friends but he was faster than me and at first I was happy that Im not the one telling the lady, but for my suprise he said something different.

"Thank you so much, I will take care of her for the rest of my life"

I was already at the edge of fainting, but this man is gonna be the death of me. Some people from the back heard the conversation and also congratulated us and a lot more people joined them.

"Damn how many years did I miss that you're getting married?"

I turned around just to see my uncle looking at us. I knew my dad is gonna talk about it when I get home. My uncle and dad rarely talks, but this is the topic thats gonna be there for a while.

I gave my uncle a soft panicked smile, grabbed Yunho's hand and rushed out the restaurant. I was thinking about changing name and identity after this even tho I wish to get married one day, and if I could do it with Yunho, I would enjoy every minute of it.

We were catching our breaths a few streets away from the restaurant when all of the sudden I felt his warm hand on my cold face and he leaned in into a kiss. I kissed him back without thinking. It felt like its just the two of us in the world and it was the best moment of my life. Us getting out of the crowded place and kissing each other kinda felt like some action movie like we are running away from something, but if I get to kiss him again like this, I would rob a bank.

As we got away from each other he gave me the brightest smile ever as he was still holding my face. His hand then went down to my hand and we walked back home.

As we arrived to our driveway he stopped and got a little snow from the ground and made a heart shape and gave it to me. I cannot express how happy I was at the moment. He pulled me close and kissed me again, this time it was more romantic and deep. Him being close gave me so much warmth that I didnt even notice how damn cold it was outside. As I let go of the kiss, I hugged him so tightly and hoped this moment never ends. We were stnding in the snow for hours, knowing we could just go inside and be there together, but none of us wanted to let go of the other. Soon it got darker and I invited him to my house so we could spend the night together. We went into my room and both of us fell into my bed. This was the time where we realized that we were freezing out there. We got under the blanket as we watched the snow falling from the sky talking about a lot of things that I never thought Im gonna talk about with him.

As I noticed silence from Yunho's side I looked at him only to see that he has fallen asleep. I decided to join him so I layed down and got close to him. At that moment an arm hugged me from behind.

"I love you Y/N"

"I love you too Yunho"

OMG YESSSS I LOVE MR BUMPP

okok here we go;;

- Mr. Bump has a small gap between his front teeth.

- Mr. Bump is a big fan of sweets! He regularly gets them in gift baskets whenever he gets severely injured doing something.

- Mr. Bump and Miss Whoops often poke fun of each other and banter a lot outside of their jobs, as most siblings fighting for dominance do. They still care for each other though, and they show affection to each other by slow-motion punching each other’s faces.

- Mr. Bump typically avoids doing anything involving animals due to being harmed by them from past experiences, but somehow ends up being a maginet to rats and, to a lesser extent, cats. Because of this, he has two pet rats; Rob (short for Robert), a dark gray male rat with a red nose, and Berry, a white female rat with a pink nose and blue-gray spots!

- Mr. Bump is a bit socially awkward and anxious. Whenever he thinks he said something embarressing, even if no one actually heard him, he just. runs away & jumps off the nearesst ledge & into a river.

- Mr. Bump, while being hardworking and responsible most of the time, tends to be too harsh on himself whenever things don’t go as planned. His closest friends often comfort him and remind him to be kinder to himself during these situations.

- Mr. Bump doesn’t die. He respawns.

Warnings:major S4, Vol. 2 spoilers, Angst, a lil bit of fluff, character death, blood, demon bats, Canon typical violence

Summary: You couldn't have wished for a better boyfriend than Eddie Munson, but when things get heated with Vecna, you find yourself in a situation you don't know a solution for...

"I have a bad feeling about this", I mumbled while jamming more nails into the Trash can lid.

"What do you mean?"; Eddie mumbled while contiuing with his own Self-made shield. "I don't know. Something just feels...off",I muttered and got up.

"Where are you going ?", Dustin asked. "Just getting more Nails",I smiled,"I wanna make sure, those fuckers die, when we impale them" Eddie chuckled at my words and I turned around to fetch the nails, but before I could leave, I heard Eddie whisteling:"That's my girl!"

I turned around and smiled at him. I shot Dustin an apolegtic look as I saw him cringe inwardly. I finally made it to the Camper, grabbing some nails out of our Supply bags. I turned around to leave as I bumped into someone's chest. I looked up perplexed and noticed that it was Steve.

"Y/N, I'm so sorry, are you alright?", he asked, immediately apoligized. I only smiled at him:"It's alright"

I tried to push past him, but Steve gabbed my arm, pulling me back. I looked at him and a shiver ran down my spine almost immediately. He had a look of concern on his face, like he was deeply scared to loose someone.

"Can we talk?", Steve whispered. I only nodded and followed him back inside the Camper.

"Is everything alright?", I asked, once we were inside. Steve closed the door behind us and turned around. He sighed deeply and ran his hand through his hair:"It's just...when you go there, into the Upside Down, can you..."

"Can I ?", I asked as he slowly trailed off. Steve looked down for a second, like he was embarressed to answer my Question.

"Can you look out for Dustin and Eddie, please? It's not like I don't trust them, it's just You're usually the one who is more reasonable, you know?"

I chuckled and patted Steve's shoulder:"Of course, I will look out for them" He visibly relaxed at my words and nodded:"Thank you,Y/N" I smiled and pulled him in for a hug:"Always, Stevie"

As we stepped back out of the Camper, i patted his shoulder one more time, before I finally made my way back over to Dustin and Eddie. I was greeted with a sight, I certainly didn't expect. I smiled at the two boys in front of me. Eddie was chasing Dustin around the field, preting to be a D&D character. I watched them mess around and hug each other, before they returned to our place.

"Y\N!!", Eddie shouted, as he finally saw me. He laughed loudly and came running towards me.

"Eddie?!?!?", I yelled, as he wrapped his arms around me, throwing me over his shoulder. I heard him laugh again, as he started to chase around, while Dustin followed the two of us, trying to help me.

After countless times, that Dustin almost caught us, Eddie finally decided to let me down again. I stumbled onto my feet and leaned onto Eddie's shoulder for support until I finally gained my composure again. I smiled up at my boyfriend, who beamed back at me.

"I love you, Eddie Munson", I smiled. I felt how Eddie pulled me closer by my waist. "I love you too", he mumbled before leaning down to kiss me. My hand rose to carress his cheek as I heard him sigh with content.

"Ugh, get a room", I heard Dustin yell disgusted. Eddie and I broke apart and he only stuck his tongue out at him. I chuckled at his childish behavior, before grabbing his hand and pulling him in for another short kiss. I heard Dustin sigh, before I turned towards him, mimicking Eddie's actions. Dustin actually smiled at us now.

"Come here already!", I smiled at him, holding out my hand. Dustin took it perplexed before I pulled him and Eddie into a massive hug. I heard the two boys laugh; before a yelp escaped my lips, as Eddie suddenly tried to lift Dustin and me into the air at the same time. The three of us tumbled over laughing. We landed in the grass, only inches away from our nailed garbage lids. 'Lucky', I thought to myself, but before I could let myself wander off to what was before us, my thoughts were interrupted by Eddie and Dustin, each holding out a hand to me. I smiled and grabbed both of them, letting them pull me up.

"Thank you, Boys", I smiled. Eddie put an arm around me and nuzzled my cheek:"No problem,Darling"

"Come on, Lovebirds", Dustin scolded us,"We need to finish our stuff. Eddie and I nodded and followed him back to our working place.

I felt myself being overhelmed at what I saw. Eddie Munson himself and his Darling guitar were distracting the bats right now. And he looked dashing. Like the real Rockstar he was. He leaned back conently, enjoying the song he was playing. I mean, what was better to distract crazy demon Bats than Metallica, am I right?

I looked over to Dustin and he was just as starstruck as I was.

"This is so cool", he yelled over the Music and I nodded, not being able to bring myself to interrupt the music through answering him.

Unfortunately, this little moment of happiness didn't last long as our plan worked perfectly. I gulped as I saw thousands and thousands of Demon bat's flying towards us.

"Eddie!?", I yelled and climbed onto the van, "Eddie, we need to go!"

He continued playing for a second, only to finish his song, before he turned around. A smile on is face, he grabbed my hand and followed me down.

Eddie kept holding onto my hand, as we sprinted back to his trailer together with Dustin. We made it just in time, as Eddie slammed shut the door of the cage we had built. I allowed myself to inspect the Bat's for a second, before I was pulled inside by Dustin and Eddie.

The three of us took a moment to breath, before I saw a smile creeping up on Dustin's face. He looked over to Eddie and started laughing.

"Dude", he laughed and grasped his shoulders, "Most METAL EVER!!"

The two of them started jumping up and down with glee and I couldn't help but giggle at them, until Eddie grabbed my arm and pulled me into him.

"You were amazing!", I laughed and jumped up and down with them. Eddie chuckled and softly kissed my forehead:"Thanks sweetheart"

"Let's go kick their asses", Dustin smiled at us.

Well, I wish that would've been what we did. But we didn't. And now I had to watch how Eddie purposely cut the bedsheet that connected our world with Upside Down.

"Eddie!?!? Eddie, what are you doing!?!?", I yelled and tried to climb back inside, but Dustin took my arm, preventing me from hurting myself.

"Don't worry, Darling", Eddie smiled grabbing one of the spears. He looked back up to us.

"I love you, no matter what", he mumbled and I felt how tears started to run down my face:"Please Eddie, Pleae don't leave me"

"I'm not running away this time", He said sternly and shot me one last smile, before leaving the trailer.

"Eddie!?!?" I yelled. But he was long gone.

"Shit shit Shit!!!", I heard Dustin curse behind me,"Hurry, we need a chair or something like that"

I swiftly looked around and soon found what I was looking for. Right next to the kitchen table was a small stool. I hurried over and grabbed it, placing it right under the hole in the ceiling.

"Alright", Dustin mumbled and stepped in front of me, "I'll go first"

"That is out of the question", I said sternly and grabbed his arm,"I'm going first"

"Y/N", Dustin said, a serious expression on his face.

"Listen to me", He said, "If I go in there first and something happens to me, it's not so bad because you Can still make it to Eddie. But if you go first and you get hurt, you can't. And if he needs someone right now, it's you. So it's vital, that you make it to him"

As much as I hated it, Dustin was right. I thought about it for a second, before deciding to agree with him.

"Fine, but if something happens, you explain it to Steve", I muttered.

Dustin nodded and I watched him get in position, before he started sprinting towards the stool. He jumped onto it and then grabbed the edge of the hole. I saw him struggle and immediately ran over to help him. I grabbed his legs and tried pushing him into the gate.

"Almost", Dustin yelled but suddenly his legs slipped from my arms and he fell into the Upside Down. I heard him scream.

"Dustin!?! Dustin, are you alright!?!?", I looked up into the gate and saw him laying on the floor, grasping his foot.

"My ankle", he groaned.

"Shit", I mumbled, "I'm coming now!!"

I saw how he inched away a bit before I walked back a little, to take a start. I breathed in deeply, before I sprinted towards the stool. I jumped on it and then right into the gate. I tried to grab the edge, but missed and turned around about 180 degrees.

Like by magic, I Managed to land on my feet, but as I rose to stand up, I immediately tumbled back to the floor. The full real world-Upside Down backflip left my brain spinning around for a few seconds.

As I could see straight again, I crawled over to Dustin:"Are you alright!?"

I carefully eyed his ankle. It had swollen pretty hard.

"I can handle it", he pressed, "Go and get Eddie"

Right in that Moment, I heard thunder errupt above us. I nodded and grabbed one of our self made shields and the one remaining spear. I looked back at Dustin for one last time. He only nodded at me and I Stormed outside, on the look for Eddie.

I opened the door of the cage around the trailer and trailed outside. I looked around in search for Eddie. After a few seconds I finally found him and I swear to God, my heart stopped beating for a second.

I spotted Eddie laying on the ground, two bat's gnawing onto his sides. And another one had its tail slung around Eddie's neck.

"Shit", I mumbled as I stormed towards him.

I yelled as loud as I could and started banging my Speer of the the trash can lid, to attract the bat's attention. It somehow worked, since a few of them came flying towards me but the others stayed glued to Eddie.

I gulped as the first bat collided with my shield. It squealed loudly before falling to the ground, dead. I continued running towards Eddie, occasionally slicing through a bat with my spear, until I finally reached him. I was about to kneel down as all of the remaining Bats around us started to fall to the ground, presumably dead. The ones who held Eddie in a tight grip, also let go of him and he seemed to be able to finally take a deep breath in again.

I ran towards him, kneeling down and pulling his head onto my lap.

"Oh my God, Eddie", I mumbled as I saw him spitting blood. I carefully pressed my hands over his wounds, trying to stop the bleeding. Eddie grunted in agony.

"Bad, huh?", he mumbled, looking into the distance.

"No no.You're gonna be fine", I answered, tears already threatened to spill, "Just gotta get you to a hospital, okay?"

"Okay", he whispered.

"All right. All right", I mumbled while pulling his upper body up with me.

"I think...", he started but I interrupted him.

"Come one", I cried, not being able to hold back my tears now.

"I think I just... I think I just need a second, okay?", he asked quietly.

I nodded:"Okay"

I looked down at him, as he seemed to choke on his own blood. But he seemed to notice my stare and a shit eating grin started to appear on his face.

"I didn't run away this time, right?", he asked trembling.

I couldn't help the sob that escaped my lips, as I grasped his cheek:"No... No no no. You didn't run."

"Youre gonna have to look after those little sheep for me, okay?", he mumbled.

"No!", I yelled, grasping his cheek even tighter, "You're gonna do that yourself!"

"No, Sweetheart", Eddie smiled,"Say 'I'm gonna look after them'"

"Say it", Eddie scolded me.

"I'm...",I stuttered, "I'm gonna look after..."

"Good", Eddie muttered. He slowly put his hand on top of mine, his eyes closing for a seconds, simply enjoying my touch.

"Cause I'm actually gonna graduate", He continued, chuckling weakly,"I think it's my year, Y/N"

I nodded at his words and tried to keep my composure, motioning for him to continue.

"I think, its finally my year", he struggled.

"I love you, Y/N", he mumbled. I closed my eyes for a second, the whole situation becoming too overwhelming. My tears were sprinkling down onto Eddie's clothes, as I felt his hand gently caressing my cheek.

"I love you too", I mumbled, putting my hand on top of his.

I looked down at him, a single tear falling from his eye, as his hand slowly slipped past mine and fell to the ground.

"Eddie", I mumbled again, as I saw him physically struggle. I heard him choke one last time, before his breathing seemed to stop.

"Eddie?", I asked again. But his eyes had stop moving, they were staring down at the ground. His limbs were loose and his heart had stopped beating, I felt it as I put my hand on his chest.

"Eddie", I said again, not ready to comprehend what had just happened. It couldn't be true, it just couldn't.

"Come one!", I Muttered and shook him by his shoulders but it was no help.

"Eddie!!", I wailed, but he still didn't move, and he would never move again. I could yell his name as often as I wanted but he would never move again.

"Eddie, please please please...",I continued mumbling incoherent sentences, as my head fell down onto his chest. His lifeless body still in my arms. It couldn't be true, it just couldn't. I couldn't lose him. How could I ever? What did he do to deserve this? He gave his life to protect the people of a town who all accused him of murder.

"Eddie", I mumbled on last time and looked up, his eyes still weren't moving, so shakily raised my hand and carefully closed his eyes.

"Y/N", I heard my name. It was Dustin. He finally came limbing towards us... Me.

"Dustin", I trembled.

He saw Eddie on the ground and immediately, tears started to fall down his face, as he fell to his knees.

"Eddie", He mumbled.

"He's gone", I said bitterly, wiping my nose, "He's gone"

Dustin nodded, not being able to form any coherent sentences.

"We need to go", he finally mumbled.

"D-Dustin, I can't-" I stuttered again, fresh tears falling down my face, as I grasped Eddie's hand again. It was cold now and lifeless.

"No", I said sternly,"No, I cannot leave him here. I can't-"

"Y/N", Dustin shouted and broke me out of my trance,"We need to leave"

"Y/N", I felt how Dustin softly took my hand out of his, "We need to go"

I only nodded, letting him pull me up and away from Eddie. On the entire way back to the portal, I looked back to Eddie. I wanted to take him with me. Give him a real funeral, show the world that he was a hero, who died for his city.

But I know I couldn't. Also did I know that I could never tell anyone, ever.

I helped Dustin back through the gate, since he couldn't really walk with his sprained ankle, before climbing back myself.

"We need to find the others", Dustin whispered. I only nodded, wiping away my tears, but it was no use. Fresh tears started to appear again.

It was now, that I finally realized...

Eddie Munson was dead, and he would stay dead no matter what I did.

Daily Writing Challenge Day 30: Ceremony- Darlain

It was lovely weather, no clouds at this elevation was quite rare, Lorelei could see all the way out to the Loch to the east. Still, it was cold, the crowd of onlookers, and her fellow students did little to bolster her from the biting shill.

"Dane Grimhand, step forward."

The crowd was all smiles, but respectful. The young dwarf stepped forward as Muradin himself nodded at the boy, clasping his shoulder and marking him with the Bronzebeard clan symbol.

"By the great mountain! By the stone which bore us all! By the ice and snow!"

She was already getting bored, there was over fifty of them, there to take the Clan vows, and it was at least four minutes per... she sighed.

"The Bronzebeards 'ave watched over these lands since we left the northlands! And it 'as been a stawart 'ome ever since!"

Muradin handed his Stormhammer to the boy, Who stepped out to the edge of the overlook... gave his best attempt of a blood-curdling scram... might curdle milk, she thought with a smirk. And hurled the hammer off the mountain side... not terribly far though, she could hear it land about 6 feet down on the mountainside. Muradin gave his best fake smile gave an approving yell to the crowd! "And so walks a proud son of the Mountain! Welcome yer newest Bronzebeard Clansman!"

With a snap of his fingers, the Stormhammer appeared back in his hand.

"Alright.. lets see! Aha, a Truth'ammer, then? Been a long time since we inducted one! come on up, Lorelei Truth'ammer!"

Lorelei calmly walked forward, until...

"WOOOOOOO!!! Lets go LORELEI!!"

"True Daughter o' the Mountain, do us proud lass!"

"Uhh... go get them! Lorelei!"

"Woo, kiddo, you got this!"

Oh gods, she picked her parents out in the crowd, as well as Henii, Ivi, Shillan, and half the Meddlers all crowded together.

She thought she was gonna die of embarressment. Muradin held his hand out for silence, but it still took a bit.

Fel... some of them brought signs. She could barely concentrate, keeping her head down and trying not to look their way. People were still murming about the strange crowd, with so many non-dwarves.

"Uh err.. lass" She looked up, Muradin was looking down at her, his hand outstretched offering the hammer. She shook out of her daze, grabbing the hammer and hurridly made he way out to the precipice. Again, cheers from her parents and their friends. "Oh that's my lass! You've got this."

"Throw it out tae the Loch, lass! Show the clan what you've got!"

Her hands gripped the axe, a frown forming on her face.

"You got this!"

Everyone was watching them and shaking their heads.. she closed her eyes... gritter her teeth.

"WOOO!"

"Enough!" she shouted out, the hammer flying out... far.. way father than anyone else, the crowd, even Muradin, let out a gasp as the hammer cleared the slope below, careening out of view.

She stood a bit awkwardly... before the entire crowd cheered, somehow, above all the jubilation, she could hear -them-.

She... smiled, shaking her head and rolling her eyes.

So, this did not happen you guys. Not at all. Don’t even think that, because had it happened, hypothetically, I would’ve been super embarrassed and stuff… *clears throat* so anyway, here it goes:

Mc chuckled at the brother’s antics in the group chat. An update had just come out that allowed gifs to be used, and Mc decided to try it out. In the human realm, they had always used gifs when they could, finding they represented how they were feeling better than limited emojis or even stickers.

Levi said something particularly funny, and Mc just had to respond. They had seen the perfect gif a bit ago and went in search of it. As they were searching, the conversation moved on, and everyone was almost on a different topic entirely by the time Mc posted the gif. They waited eagerly, for the quick reactions, but it was a while before anyone said anything. When the brothers did though, Mc was a bit confused

Satan: Well Mc. I didn’t know you saw us that way.

Mc. Wait… What?

Satan: Your link.

Mc: What link?

Asmo: OH MY NBCJYC<JHCGHV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MC YOU DIRTY HUMAN!!! I LOVE IT!!!

Graystripe’s Vow

A quick overview, chapter summaries.

31 chapters + prologue + epilogue + manga

Prologue - FQ

BloodClan is planning on getting revenge on Firestar’s Quest era ThunderClan. They are lead by a new leader, Fury.

Gremlin is worried about this, since she is pregnant and doesn’t want to hurt her kits.

Chapter 1 - TBC

Graystripe is realizing he’s old.

Lionblaze looks like Sandstorm, Spotfur has Frostfur’s face, (Frostfur is Ravenpaw’s sibling.)

Thriftear, Thornclaw, Snaptooth, Flywhisker and others disrespect Squirrelflight because she’s not technically leader.

Squirrelflight talks with Graystripe about being deputy/leader. “You can say it, Graystripe. In many ways, Firestar’s ThunderClan was better... at least things seemed easier.”

Graystripe worries about StarClan returning.

Chapter 2 - TBC

Graystripe dreams about being in the (lake) forest with Firestar. The dream turns and Graystripe feels dread. Graystripe imagines Millie and “talks” it out with her. (...) Graystripe asks Brackenfur if “this is the same ThunderClan as Firestar’s ThunderClan.” Brackenfur says it is.

Plumstone and Thriftear get into a fight. They both call Graystripe (and StarClan) an “out-of-date boomer” (exact quote /j) then Thornclaw, Twigbranch and Lionblaze argue about if Squirrelflight is leader or deputy. Bumblestripe, and then Bristlefrost try to break up the fight but fail. Squirrelflight ends up begging them to stop :(

Flipclaw suggests they rewrite the warrior code while StarClan is gone. The Clan flips out and Flipclaw then says maybe he wants to spend some time outside of the Clan. Snaptooth agrees, Flywhisker agrees, and Thornclaw agrees.

Graystripe decides to “wander” with them. Squirrelflight feels betrayed. She gives them a moon to return.

Chapter 3 - FQ

Graystripe ponders life. Willowpelt, his mother, has died. (...) He overhears Brightheart and Ferncloud doubting the purpose of Firestar’s Quest. (not the book, just why Firestar left.) Ashfur and Cloudtail also think Firestar left to live as a kittypet. Mousefur trusts that Firestar isn’t a kittypet, but wants to know where he is.

Cinderpelt yells at Ashfur. (...)

Brambleclaw, Thornclaw and Brackenfur bring Graystripe a dead rabbit with WindClan scent found on their territory (near fourtrees.) Graystripe decides to do nothing about this but increase border patrols, much to the chagrin of the Clan.

Graystripe goes to sleep with troubled thoughts, and is awoken by somebody screaming.

Chapter 4 - TBC

Graystripe and the boys decide to stop and hunt while they are still in the territory. Hawkwing and a SkyClan patrol appear. Snaptooth spills the beans and embarresses Graystripe and the others.

Flywhisker asks if Graystripe wants to rest while they hunt, but he goes hunting anyways. He catches a rabbit. Graystripe contemplates returning to the old forest.

The other warriors talk about how much easier it is to hunt for four. Flipclaw tells Flywhisker that if she were to have kits he’d make sure she’s wellfed. Flywhisker tells him she isn’t interested. He tries again but she shoots him down.

Snaptooth asks what they will do now. Flywhisker wonders what it would be like to be a kittypet. Thornclaw gets sick of this and leaves.

Graystripe tells the others that he wants to visit his son, Stormfur. He hopes that by visiting his “past” he can understand his future.

Chapter 5 - FQ

The screaming was Brightheart. She is giving birth. Graystripe is terrified that she will die like Silverstream. Cloudtail gathers herbs for Cinderpelt.

Graystripe welcomes the kit into ThunderClan and pats himself on the back for doing nothing. Then he realizes that Firestar would done something and not just stand around, and feels ashamed.

A few days later, Thornclaw, Sootpaw and Brambleclaw return with more proof of WindClan hunting on their territory. Ashfur says this wouldn’t be a problem if Dustpelt were deputy.

Graystripe doesn’t know what to do. Mousefur enters camp and tells him that Russetfur wants to speak with Firestar.

Chapter 6 - TBC

The others are nervous about leaving Clan territory. Graystripe has enjoyed hunting.

Suddenly, dogs. They climb trees and a human comes and takes the dogs away.

Later that day, Graystripe tells them that he wants to go now. Flywhisker, Snaptooth and Flipclaw tell him he can go without them.

Flipclaw changes his mind and comes with Graystripe.

Chapter 7 - FQ

Russetfur and Rowanclaw demand to speak with Firestar. Graystripe tells them that Firestar is busy, so they can speak with him instead. Turns out they’ve scented BloodClan on Clan territory. ThunderClan overhears this and instantly smack-talks ShadowClan. (Rowanclaw’s pronouns are switching paragraph to paragraph. *EDIT: I might just be bad at reading... thanks for telling me lol!)

Graystripe tells his Clan that he thinks BloodClan are the ones pretending to be WindClan and causing trouble. Cinderpelt agrees.

Graystripe, Dustpelt and Brambleclaw go to inspect the BloodClan smell, but get jumped by BloodClan troopers. Graystripe sees Gremlin and knows she’s fit to burst.

Fury tells them that she knows that Firestar is gone. BloodClan attacks and defeats Graystripe. They throw him under a fence to get eaten by a dog. The dog is locked in a house, so he survives.

Graystripe heads back to the forest, but encounters Gremlin. She lets him escape. This confuses Graystripe.

Chapter 8 - TBC

Graystripe and Flipclaw make it to the Tribe’s territory. Flipclaw is excited to tell his littermates about this. They encounter two Tribe cats, Moon Shining on Water and Thorn that Grows in Clef.

Graystripe and Stormfur have a sweet reunion for two sentences. Graystripe meets the kits. Flipclaw hits it off with Feather. They are very VERY good friends, (probably a bit more than friends.)

Stoneteller mentions a rogue who had come around asking for Clan cats.

Chapter 9 - TBC

Graystripe tells Stoneteller about all the Bramblestar and ThunderClan problems. Stoneteller has sensed a shadow over the Clans. He tells Graystripe that Graystripe still has a long journey ahead. Graystripe goes to sleep.

A tribe cat tells Stoneteller that the boys Flipclaw and Feather were out hunting, but got trapped in a landslide. Graystripe goes with Stoneteller to help.

Feather manages to get out, but Flipclaw is still stuck. It takes all day, but they get Flipclaw out. Flipclaw’s leg is dislocated.

Graystripe sees Feathertail standing on a shiny rock, and takes it as a sign that he must find the moonstone.

Chapter 10 - FQ

Graystripe returns to camp. He asks Dustpelt if he knows that Ashfur wants him to be deputy. Dustpelt is surprised.

Ashfur talks smack about Graystripe getting beat up by BloodClan (same energy as “im built different”) Brambleclaw reminds him that there were too many BloodClan cats for two and a half warriors to fight.

The next day Graystripe tells ThunderClan they must prepare for BloodClan again.

Chapter 11 - TBC

Graystripe wants to leave the tribe immediately. Stormfur asks why he doesn’t just stay forever. Graystripe considers it, but still wants to go to the moonstone.

Flipclaw is still recovering. Graystripe tells him about the moonstone, and Flipclaw tells Graystripe that he wants to go home. They part ways.

Graystripe thinks about Silverstream and Millie again. He hunts a mouse and spots Highstones. He nearly gets hit on the Thunderpath.

Chapter 12 - FQ

Still worried about BloodClan, Graystripe is startled by Shrewkit and Spiderkit playing. ThunderClan is on edge. Graystripe decides now is a good time to tell the other Clans that BloodClan is back.

Graystripe takes Cloudtail and Rainpaw to WindClan. Tallstar believes Graystripe about BloodClan and sends Firestar his well-wishes. They go to RiverClan and meet Stormfur. Leopardstar is angry about BloodClan, and sceptical about Firestar.

Stormfur and Feathertail escort them off RiverClan territory.

Chapter 13 - TBC

Graystripe makes it to Highstones. He thinks about visiting Barley.

An owl scares him, and then a pack of monsters scare him. He escapes and hides in a bush. A fat kittypet stumbles upon him, but leaves to get dinner. Graystripe feels lost.

Graystripe dreams about Millie’s death. He wakes up and smells the river. He sees sunningrocks.

Graystripe gets attacked by a cat.

Chapter 14 - FQ

It’s the gathering. Graystripe is nervous about BloodClan still being in the forest.

Leopardstar and Blackstar are sceptical about Firestar’s whereabouts. She announces that there was a fox on their territory, but that *Mistyfoot chased it off.

The leaders agree to share news of BloodClan with each other throughout the moon.

Graystripe talks with Stormfur and Feathertail, similar to what he says to them in A Shadow in RiverClan (that they are welcome in ThunderClan.)

Chapter 15 - TBC

Graystripe realizes the kittypet who attacked him is not alone. There are five others. They introduce themselves as WarriorClan! Monkeystar, Bugeater, Fireface, Bigteeth, Clawwhistle, and Chester. They are larping as clan cats during the day, and returning to their humans at night.

Smudge is still alive, and has told the kittypets all about the warriors. They ask if Firestar is with him. Graystripe says he isn’t, but that he is a real warrior. Monkeystar asks him to prove it by fighting her, and he wins.

Graystripe decides to stay with WarriorClan for a little bit, and teaches them how to hunt.

Near sunset, Graystripe decides to leave WarriorClan. Monkeystar bids him farewell. Graystripe finds Four Trees, and is distressed about its destruction.

Chapter 16 - FQ

Graystripe is hunting when he hears someone in the bushes. It’s Gremlin. She wants to give birth to her kits somewhere safe. She says that ThunderClan is the only place she’d want to have her kits. She wants her and her brother to be safe too.

Brackenfur appears and says that they can’t trust Gremlin. Graystripe and him argue a bit.

Graystripe goes home and tells Cinderpelt about Gremlin. Cinderpelt decides to go to the moonstone and ask StarClan.

Chapter 17 - TBC

Still trying to get out of the twoleg place, Graystripe finally gets to the exit. He feels like he’s being followed, and lo and behold WarriorClan wants to see the moonstone.

Graystripe tells them that they can just wait outside for him. They agree and they all set off. When they are closer, they smell a stranger!

WarriorClan is ready for a fight, but the stranger tells Graystripe that they are Gremlin’s kit, and that he had vowed to help Gremlin no matter what. They asked if he would help them too.

Chapter 18 - FQ

Graystripe is going with Cinderpelt to the moonstone. He thinks about Gremlin while he waits outside.

Graystripe falls asleep and dreams about Firestar. Firestar turns into Fury and tells him to wake up. Cinderpelt is back and tells Graystripe that he’s got to make his own decision, and to beware the snake bite.

Graystripe does not find this encouraging.

Chapter 19 - TBC

The stranger, Fang, tells Graystripe that he escaped from an abusive twoleg’s den and wants to go back to get his mate. His mate, Daffodil, is sick and might die (like Gremlin did) in this twoleg’s house.

Graystripe agrees to help but first he wants to go to the moonstone. Bigteeth, Bugeater, Fireface and Chester head back to their humans.

Graystripe enters Mothermouth and asks StarClan to forgive him from trespassing and asks for help.

Lightning strikes!

Chapter 20 - FQ

Graystripe meets with Gremlin at Smudge’s house. Cinderpelt tells Gremlin that one of her kits is upside-down, and that the birth might be hard.

Fury drops by and asks Smudge if he wants to join BloodClan. He stands his ground, and she tells Gremlin that there will be a Clan meeting.

Graystripe calls a Clan meeting himself and tells ThunderClan about Gremlin. The Clan is divided about her, but Cinderpelt helps convince them that Gremlin needs their help.

Ashfur loudly objects, but Cinderpelt helps convince the Clan that Gremlin needs their help and means no harm.

Chapter 21 - TBC

Lightning struck the moonstone and destroyed. Graystripe is terrified. He runs back to Monkeystar, Clawwhistle and Fang and tells them. Monkeystar suggests they go to Barley.

Fang asks if Graystripe is his father. Graystripe tells him no, but that he is proud of him nonetheless. Fang is disappointed.

Barley is shocked that Graystripe is still alive. Barley is very old, and doesn’t move much. Monkeystar and Clawwhistle hunt a mouse for him.

Graystripe asks Barley what he should do, and Barley suggests he sleep on it. Before he sleeps, he hears Fang ask if Barley knew Gremlin.

Chapter 22 - FQ

Back at Smudge’s house, Gremlin and Graystripe have a meet up again.

Gremlin tells Graystripe that BloodClan will attack in two days, when the camp is at its weakest (all the patrols are out and the patrols who have returned are already tired.)

Chapter 23 - TBC

Graystripe spends the day listening to Barley telling Fang about Gremlin. They go to sleep, but Fang seems unhappy.

Fang tells Graystripe that Gremlin died in the twoleg den that he had escaped from. Fang wants to leave now and free all the other cats too.

Chapter 24 - TBC

They head out. WarriorClan wants to come with, but Graystripe says it’s too dangerous. He convinces them to stay with Barley.

Graystripe enters the house through a window. The house is unkept, and all the cats are starving. It’s not great. The twoleg is very very old.

The twoleg shuts the window while he tries to figure out an escape route.

Chapter 25 - TBC

Graystripe speaks with the cats. He learns that Fang used to be named Honeysuckle.

The cats try to come up with ideas of how to escape. The twoleg’s favorite cat, Petunia, shoots down the idea of attacking the twoleg.

They make a plan to prop open a door, but it fails. Graystripe feels hopeless.

Chapter 26 - FQ

Graystripe tries to orchestrate a normal day while preparing for a battle with BloodClan. He sends the elders Goldenflower and Frostfur on a “patrol” near twoleg place to scout out BloodClan and the apprentices to the training hollow where they can avoid the battle.

Fury enters camp and the battle begins. The apprentices disobey and try to fight BloodClan.

Cinderpelt tries to sneak Gremlin out of the fighting, but is spotted by Fury. Snake and Ice try to stop her, and Scraps tries to stop them. Scraps dies.

Graystripes is about to kill Snake when Fury yells at him to stop. She threatens to kill Gremlin, and the other cats stop fighting too.

Chapter 27 - FQ

Graystripe notices that Fury has been fatally wounded, and tells her if they leave the Clans alone, Cinderpelt can treat her wound. Fury refuses, but starts dying. Fury then decides she wants to live, and ThunderClan wins.

ThunderClan finally apologizes for not trusting Graystripe. Graystripe talks to Cinderpelt about StarClan’s message, then goes and visits Gremlin. Gremlin is mourning Scraps, and decides that being in a Clan is too violent for her.

Gremlin decides to become a kittypet, so Graystripe vows to always help Gremlin if she asks. (thats the name of the book fellas we did it)

Chapter 28 - TBC

Graystripe speaks with Daffodil, Fang’s mate. She is very weak. He is worried that Fang has abandoned them.

Later, Fang returns with WarriorClan, and WarriorClan pushes up on a loose board. The kittypets are able to escape. Petunia wants to stay.

A mail man arrives and calls animal control. The cats leave the house but don’t go far. The older cats want to go and get captured, and Daffodil does too.

The elderly human is taken away in an ambulance, and Petunia wants to stay at the house until she returns. Graystripe convinces her she can still wait, but she has to escape the humans first.

Fang is sad that Daffodil is gone, and Graystripe has no idea how to comfort him.

Chapter 29 - TBC

Graystripe comforts Fang.

The escaped cats decide to part ways, either becoming loners, going off to find human caretakers, or joining WarriorClan (and moving to Barley’s barn.)

Graystripe is ready to retire to the elder’s den again. He realizes that it is possible for Clans to exist without StarClan, like WarriorClan has and is. Fang is upset and doesn’t want him to leave.

Graystripe asks Petunia to be the medicine cat, and encourages her to take on an apprentice in case her human ever comes back. WarriorClan feels like a real Clan now (to Graystripe and Fang.)

Graystripe prepares to leave.

Chapter 30 - FQ

ThunderClan is back to normal. Firestar is back!

Graystripe tells Firestar that he is not fit to lead, and that he is happy just being deputy. Firestar is just happy to be back.

Chapter 31 - TBC

Graystripe sleeps in Barley’s barn and tells him what happened. Barley is glad the cats escaped, and that they are welcome in his barn.

Graystripe is spotted by a hunting patrol and Stormfur greets him. He tells Stormfur that he is returning to ThunderClan, because he’s realized he doesn’t need StarClan to tell him that ThunderClan has changed. He has come to terms with it.

Stormfur is frustrated that Graystripe won’t stay, but calms down and enjoys the rest of the evening with his father for the last time.

Graystripe makes it to the lake, and is excited to be back in the home he loves.

Epilogue - FQ

It’s the gathering. All the Clans are surprised that Firestar is there. Firestar announces BloodClan’s second defeat, and the Clans chant Graystripe’s name.

Manga - TBC

A moon later. Monkeystar says that WarriorClan is thriving, but that she is insecure about her leadership skills. Fang is a good deputy, but Petunia keeps leaving for days.

Monkeystar decides to go and find Petunia. She, Bugeater, Lily and Clawwhistle travel to find the human’s house. They get attacked by kittypets, and are chased off. They find Petunia at the human’s house, rundown and abandoned.

Petunia doesn’t want to leave the house behind, but knows in her heart that her human will not return. Lily convinces Petunia to come home, albeit regretfully.

Monkeystar comes up with a plan to help Petunia move on. She takes Petunia to the shattered the moonstone.

Petunia returns joyfully. Gremlin’s ghost had appeared to her, and tells her that the old human is dead but at peace. Gremlin encourages Petunia by telling her that her Clanmates need her.

The patrol returns to WarriorClan, reinvigorated.
