LA SQUADRA MER-PEOPLE HEADCANONS
Risotto Nero (Riccio Castiglier)
Specie: Mobula Ray -Devil Fish (Manta-ray) - Mobulidae Family Brief Description: Despite their colossal presence, mantas are gentle creatures. They have the largest brain of any fish, and their intelligence and curiosity make them natural leaders for other fish. its striped tail has a poisonous stinger at the end which only becomes active when it feels close to predators.
Prosciutto
Specie: Gold Marble Angel fish / Pterophyllum Scalare Brief Description: commonly called gold angelfish by the aquarists. The cichlid belongs to the group of angelfish species. This cichlid can gain massive heights due to the oversized dorsal and tail fins that grow past their body’s length.
Ghiaccio
Specie: crocodile icefish or white-blooded fish / Channichthyidae family Brief Description: the Antarctic Icefish lives in the icy cold waters. Most animals, like people, have red blood. The red of our blood is caused by hemoglobin, which carries oxygen throughout our body. Icefishes don't have hemoglobin, thus they have a whitish, nearly transparent blood. Their gills are also white. Despite this lack of hemoglobin, icefish can still get enough oxygen
Illuso
Specie: common octopus (Octopus vulgaris) Brief Description: Training experiments have shown the common octopus can distinguish the brightness, size, shape, and horizontal or vertical orientation of objects. It is able to change colour to blend in with its surroundings, and is able to jump upon any unwary prey that strays across its path. Using its beak, it is able to break into the shells of shelled molluscs. It also possesses venom.
Pesci
Specie: ornate wrasse / Thalassoma pavo Brief Description: native to the rocky coasts This small colorful wrasse is named for its vivid markings: the pinkish head is marked with horizontal green lines; the throat and belly are blue; scales on the fish’s sides are marked by a vertical, crescent-shaped stripe followed by blue. The dark red dorsal fin is highlighted with green spots and traced by green and blue lines. A large dark spot on the dorsal fin and one just behind the eye are useful in identification. The colors are more intense in the larger males
Melone
Specie: yellow-edged moray / yellow-margin(ed) moray / leopard moray / speckled moray (Gymnothorax flavimarginatus Brief Description: Despite having a fairly drab body coloration, since morays hide most of their bodies inside the reef and rocks, their head and wide open mouth is usually most of what we see of moray eels. is usually a solitary fish, tending to hide in a crevice or submerged in the sediment with just its head protruding. Sometimes it shares its shelter with conspecifics or with other moray eel species. It is mainly nocturnal, but also swims around freely in the morning and evening.
Formaggio
Specie: bullhead sharks /(Neoselachii) Brief Description: All are relatively small of the largest size species of sharks These sharks hunt at night within small home ranges, retreating to a preferred roost during the day. Their daily activity cycles are controlled by ambient light levels.
Sorbet
Specie: Swordfish (Xiphias gladius) / broadbills Brief Description: Mainly, the swordfish relies on its great speed and agility in the water to catch its prey. It is no doubt among the fastest fish,They are frequently found basking at the surface, airing their first dorsal fin. Boaters report this to be a beautiful sight, as is the powerful jumping for which the species is known. This jumping, also called breaching.
Gelato
Specie: narwhal / narwhale (Monodon monoceros) Brief Description: is a medium-sized toothed whale that possesses a large "tusk" The pigmentation of narwhals is a mottled pattern, with blackish-brown markings over a white background. They are darkest when born and become whiter with age; possibly an evolutionary adaptation to swimming easily under ice, to facilitate rolling, or to reduce surface area and heat loss. Instead narwhals possess a shallower dorsal ridge.

Sorry for taking so long but I tried to work them the better with their personalities and stand powers!

Mah Jongg Tile Set Description
Tile Set Name:  FISHES.TIL Subject:  Tropical Fishes of the world Created by:  Ron Gemeinhardt
Description:
As any aquarium hobbyist or occasional pet-shop browser knows, there is no shortage of color among the denizens of the world's oceans, rivers and other bodies of water.  This tile set is composed of common (and not so common) aquarium dwellers--both freshwater and marine; vertebrates and invertebrates.
This set uses a direct-replacement scheme of tile substitution.  Each suit in the traditional Mah Jongg tile set has been replaced by a new suit, as follows:
Freshwater fishes of Asia (replaces suit of dots; *=brackish water species):
   1)  Clown loach                (Botia macracantha)    2)  Red-tailed shark           (Labeo bicolor)    3)  Tiger barb                 (Capoeta tetrazona)    4)  Black ruby barb            (Puntius nigrofasciatus)    5)  Archer fish                (Toxotes jaculator)       *    6)  Mono (or Malayan angel)    (Monodactylus argenteus)  *    7)  Pearl gourami              (Trichogaster leeri)    8)  Dwarf gourami              (Colisa lalia)    9)  Siamese fighting fish      (Betta splendens)
Freshwater fishes of the Americas (replaces suit of bamboo):
   11)  Fancy guppy               (Poecilia reticulata)    12)  Angelfish                 (Pterophyllum scalare)    13)  Firemouth                 (Cichlasoma meeki)    14)  Tiger oscar               (Astronotus ocellatus)    15)  Neon tetra                (Paracheirodon innesi)    16)  Marbled hatchetfish       (Carnegiella strigata)    17)  Heckel discus             (Symphysodon discus discus)    18)  Green severum             (Cichlasoma severum)    19)  Dwarf gold ram            (Microgeophagus ramerizi)
Coral reef fishes (replaces suit of characters):
   21)  Common clown              (Amphiprion ocellaris)    22)  Yellow tang               (Zebrasoma flavescens)    23)  Long-nosed butterflyfish  (Forcipiger flavissimus)    24)  Oriole angel              (Centropyge bicolor)    25)  Flame angel               (Centropyge loriculus)    26)  Blue devil                (Pomacentrus coeruleus)    27)  Regal tang                (Paracanthurus hepatus)    28)  Royal gramma              (Gramma loreto)    29)  Picasso triggerfish       (Rhinecanthus aculeatus)
Miscellaneous aquarium dwellers (replace dragons):
   10)  Mystery snail             (???)    20)  Water flea                (Daphnia sp.)    30)  Florida seahorse          (Hippocampus hudsonius)
Tropical invertebrates (higher orders; replace winds):
   31)  Hermit crab               (Dardanus megistos)    32)  Starfish                  (???)    33)  Chambered nautilus        (Nautilus pompilius)    34)  Lobster                   (Enoplometopus occidentalis)
Tropical invertebrates (lower orders; replace seasons):
   35)  Nudibranch                (Glossodoris sp.)    36)  Sea fan (gorgon)          (Gorgonarie acanthomuricea)    37)  Featherduster worm        (Sabella sp.)    38)  Pipe organ coral          (Tubipora musica)
Freshwater tropical plants (replace flowers):
   39)  Amazon sword              (Echinodorus sp.)    40)  Madagascar lace           (Aponogeton madagascariensis)    41)  Jungle val                (Vallisneria americana)    42)  Cryptocoryne              (Cryptocoryne sp.)
Important note:  To help you identify which tiles belong to these last two suits, each has a common "ocean/river floor" color for all four tiles.  The plants are on a muddy brown bottom; the invertebrates rest on a dark gray "coral sand" floor.
The notation ??? means no particular genus is represented.  As for the chambered nautilus--OK, so you'll NEVER see one in an aquarium, but it is a pretty little beastie, isn't it?
(Incidentally, if you look carefully, you'll notice only the dwarf gourami, pearl gourami and betta are blowing bubbles.  These three fishes are able to obtain oxygen from air as well as water--hence the bubbles.)
Some notes on legibility: These tiles use cyan as the base color, rather than light gray, which may make the default mouse cursor a bit hard to see.  A bright cyan mouse cursor (color number 11) works very well, and a black background (color 0) also improves the display's appearance quite a bit.  Also, since some of the fishes have rather long names, the lettering on the tile faces is designed to minimize fatigue and eyestrain, at the expense of a uniform character set.

Before cars became my main interest fish and other aquatic life held my attention. I even wanted to become a marine biologist before I realised there just weren't any jobs available. My first job was at an aquarium fish importer/exporter which was good until they went bankrupt. There have been very few times I haven't had at least one fish tank in the past 40 years(yes I am that old). At the moment I have this fish tank plus a smaller one I use for breeding and a pond in the back yard. I have had saltwater tanks in the past and generally used to catch my own fish for them but I work away two weeks out of three so the tanks pretty much need to look after themselves other than feeding. I remove half a bucket load of plants out of this on my break each time. The angelfish are spawning continually but the other fish eat the babies. The kribensis are second generation that I have bred in the smaller tank. I will be putting a pair of the angels in the small tank to breed soon. Most likely the gold marbles as they keep breeding most consistently and get the young to free swimming stage in the big tank.

For the most part, you can categorize them into two different groups of mollies. Most aquarium mollies are short finned because they are much easier to care for then Sailfin mollies. Sailfin desire a much more wide open tank with more water volume and harder regulated water temperatures. The image shown above to the right is known as a short finned dalmation molly. Very spectacular in color and shape. The fins on mollies are quite beautiful. Roommates and Tankmates for Mollies? Other Mollies, Guppies, Platys, Swordtails, Gourami fish, Female Bettas, Endlers, Danios, Minnows, Tetras, Snails, Shrimp and others. The Molly species of fish are very laid back and easy to get along with. It's usually not the molly you have to worry about, but instead the other fish that goes in for attack. Don't get me wrong, the molly does enjoy a good chasing and they are somewhat fast but they are going to do any harm. The most popular tankmate that I see housed with the molly are other livebearing fish species. They all somewhat act alike and do very well together. With lots of livebearers on your hands you will be constantly dealing with new fry being born on a weekly basis. These fish have babies all the time. A good rule of thumb to follow is to research each and every fish species you plan to roommate up with the molly. A trick I have learned through the years is to get into the Google search engine and do a search like this "molly fish with angelfish" or molly fish with betta fish." Its a very common thread for people to post questions as. Popular forums like AquariumGeek and Fishlore are great hangouts to get information on. You can even do a search around here on this network for involving tankmates with mollies (since we are devoted to mollies here!). Molly Fish Breed All the Time! Details Picture After owning molly fish or any livebearer for some time, you will quickly find out how much they breed. Any molly fish can breed with another breed of molly. This makes for a crazy successful breeding platform. Any female can hookup with any male. Being livebearers, they do give 'live birth' to their babies. Females are usually always pregnant with babies and that's how you can cosmetically tell the difference between males and females. That and fin differences. The parents will feed on their newly born young and that makes for a nice snack. It's pretty disturbing but you get over it. If they didn't eat their own young.. there would be molly fish everywhere I think... It's not uncommon to see 1-3 babies swimming in your tank that somehow survived the birth and feeding of the newborns while you were at work all day. Behavior Traits of the Molly Fishrealized it was happening right under their eyes. I'm not quite sure why they do this hierarchy of levels but it's just how the fish is. You will see a fish with less rank come up to a fish that has more power and it's almost as if the fish is kissing his shoes "sort of say." They will back out of each others way and do lots of unique things regarding their rank levels. I have had 0 incidents as far as the fish being over aggressive with other tank mates in the same habitat level. Very peaceful and civil to be around for other fish in the same habitat of living. Quick Fact: Male Mollies are the Alpha Fish You will quickly find out that the males are the king and most alpha to be done. Having numerous males in one tank will cause lots of aggression with Alphas fighting. Pregnant Mollies and Breeding Molly Fish pregnant molly fish
