Fun Fact : Both Seinfeld (1989-1998) and The Simpsons (1989-20??) only have one episode released in the 1980s. And that's their 1989 pilots (1x01 The Seinfeld Chronicles & 1x01 Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire). That is if you don't count the Simpsons (eat my) shorts from The Tracey Ullman Show (between April 1987 and may 1989).

Top 9 TV Shows
Tumblr media
I was tagged by @thesassywitchofthenortheast
I watch a lot of TV. In fact, I watch more TV than I do movies, which is a strange thing to say for a film major.
So, asking me to pick 9 is downright mean. lol. These are just the top ones that came to mind. Even the honorable mentions would be a long list (maybe several).
In fact, the list of Hallmark TV movies and Food Network shows deserve their own list...or two. 😄
I think others have already done this, so not tagging anyone.

The golden age of television hasn’t started…its reached its end actually. The 2000s and 2010s were great but now it’s just… bleurgh. The new films and shows coming out nowadays don’t bring me as much joy anymore.
I realise as I type this, that I sound like an old man.

Do you know how much media has been produced in the last decade? This really was the era of overstimulation where you never really could watch all the stuff there was.
So when people complain that TV will be bad now, so? Go back and watch all the stuff that's just rotting on streaming platforms it's not like it's 2007 and linear TV is your only option.
But most importantly just support the strike so that the people who make all the stuff you like can keep making it :)
