Your Name

This beautiful set is inspired by the iconic picture from the July 18, 2020 Hengdian Fanmeet, where each of them held signs of the other's name.

This fig set couldn't be more delightful - the maker did a wonderful job translating the picture into fig form.

That being said, I do have one major complaint with this set, or more accurately, with the bench:

Cute huh? Aww, the carved birthdays. Haha! The little butt prints.

Yeah, exactly. Look at those imprints. Now look at the actual photo again. Yep, the viewer is looking at Gong Jun sitting to the left, and Zhehan to the right. THE RIGHT. Now look at the right hand side of the bench. What is that, an imprint for ANTS? I am OUTRAGED. WHO on THIS PLANET would think THAT tiny little imprint would be sufficient for Zhang Laoshi?

To absolutely NO ONE'S surprise, it is NOT.

Do you know how many times Zhehan has tumbled off that cute little bench? TOO MANY. Early on, I made the terrible mistake of putting him on the top shelf of a full fig ziggurat. I very carefully placed him exactly into the very little imprints and the second I moved my hand away, he tumbled down 3 flights of acrylic steps, mowing down all the figs in his way.

I am sure in the darkest timeline in some kind of evil alternate universe, some nefarious being was laughing their own (entirely inferior) butt off, but in this one my scream of horror could have been heard from the next state over. Images of broken arms and heads and delicate strands of PVC hair flashed through my mind as I lunged to try to catch the falling bodies.

Dear reader, this cautionary tale ends well, as it turns out sturdily crafted PVC can, in fact, plunge off a bookshelf and remain solidly intact. My heart, however, was not manufactured to those same modern industrial standards, and it just can't take this kind of strain!

You do NOT want to know how long it took me to pose these fine gentlemen, or how many times each of them fell off that bench.

In unrelated news, I've developed a stress twitch in my eye.

These figs may be responsible for the sudden onset of a bunch of white hair (may I look as good as Ye Baiyi), but they're so sweet and cute I just can't hold it against them.

Their hair styling is amazing, and Zhehan's ponytail (which I've been terrified will break off in one of his umpteenth somersaults off that bench) is so perfectly adorable. Zhehan's slouched legs and their little uwu mouths are wonderful. I love their little replica signs so much!

The figs are perfect. That bench, however, is my nemesis.

The box card is ADORABLE:

I really, really love how the cat and dog are taking each other's place to hold up the other's signs. Too cute!

One last note - why the Ferris wheel?

Well, there is some speculation that these two went to the Hengdian Ferris wheel after the fan meet.

Golfing Han and 50G Surfer Jun

Is this fig set just an excuse to post a vid of Zhehan golfing? It COULD BE. WHO COULD SAY.

I mean, we need a pic of his golf swing in order to fully understand the inspiration behind this fig!

The actual inspiration for Zhehan's fig is likely this picture, as he has the visor on with his hair falling just so over it!

There actually is a video of Junjun out there (indoor) surfing, but Tumblr only allows me 1 video per post, and trust me, we'd rather have Zhehan golfing.

Here's a screen shot of Junjun's surfing:

I will say I'm impressed he's standing up, it's not that easy when you're that tall.

As you can tell from the screen shot, this clearly isn't the inspiration for this fig, as the outfit is different. The surfing he’s doing here is strictly of the internet version. 50G Jun indeed!

I did think it was hilarious that his little shirt has been drifted up by the digital winds to expose the world’s smallest, cutest, funniest little set of abs. I started laughing out loud when I saw this little detail, and of course it was an instant purchase.

Zhehan’s tiny little ponytail here is also 🥰 His golf club is removable..I had to find the right angle to kind of wedge it in there, but now it’s pretty solidly held.

The detail in the bases are great, especially in the wave, and they both detach.

A little detail, for posterity!

The set came with helpful little ribbons, which I will admit is how I realized Junjun’s fig was not modeled after that little surfing video, but instead a cute little play on his internet skills.
