“No,” you manage.

Standing up to him will get you nowhere. You don’t care.

“So pretty, but so stupid.” He shakes his head. “You’re so very lucky to have me to remind you of your place. Get on your knees. Now.”

His control snakes itself into your mind and curls around your muscles, forcing your body to obey. Your knees buckle and you hit the hard floor with a thud.

“Good girl. Now, don’t move,” he commands.

You glare up at him and you try to stand — but your body won’t listen to you. Only him. “Fuck you, Astarion.”

“Such filthy words from such a pretty mouth. Don’t speak like that to me again.” These are just words, not a command. You still have full control over your mouth.

“I fucking hate you,” you hiss.

Astarion grabs the back of your head and yanks so you meet his eyes. “Apologize.”

You want nothing more than to rip his tongue out. “I’m going to kill you, Astarion.”

He laughs, pulling your head to the side — eyes flicking to your neck. “Yes, I’m sure you believe that, darling,” he purrs. “But, first, you will apologize.”

This time it is a command.

“I’m sorry,” you hear yourself say.

He sighs and stands, keeping a firm grip on your hair. “I was so hoping you’d put up more of a fight. No matter. Perhaps we should find other uses for that mouth of yours anyway?”

You clench your jaw. Hatred fills your body. You hope he knows, you hope he can feel how much you loathe him.

“And remember dear, no biting,” he commands.

happy Ides of March to all who celebrate

I'm taking this time to share with all of you the murder mystery-esque dinner party I am planning.

(For background, I studied Latin for 5 years, ancient Greek for one, and nearly came out of college with a classics minor on accident, so I am A Fucking Nerd about this stuff)

So anyways. Secret Caesar. Everyone in attendance is assigned the role of an ancient Roman. No background knowledge of Roman history is needed because I will be providing them with what little info is necessary for them to get by in the game. Each person is either an ally of Caesar, a conspirator, or Caesar himself (in disguise). No one except me (well, and Caesar) knows who Caesar is. The conspirators must discover Caesar and "kill" him before dessert is served to win, and the allies must shield him from discovery to win (hard, because they also don't know who he is). I am there as the Ghost of Pompey the Great to provide assistance as needed and also to be entertained. I have never been so excited for anything in my life. I only wish I had thought of this idea early enough to be able to host it today
