November has been a busy month, so I'm not as far ahead as I'd like to be, but I'll be doing a Nick/Greg advent calendar this year as well. I'll be posting a drabble/ficlet each day from the 1st to the 24th of December, based on various prompts I found online.
In the meantime, here are the links to two advent calendars I did in the past, just to get into the Christmas mood:
So this is Christmas - Good Omens Advent Calendar 2020

Ineffable Husbands Advent Calendar Challenge - “The Perfect Libation” (Rated PG13)
Summary: Crowley walks in on his husband enjoying a holiday drink that Aziraphale considers 'the greatest marvel of the modern age'. (1017 words)
Notes: This was written for the Ineffable Husbands Advent Challenge 2020 prompt 'Christmas drinks'. It was supposed to be up on the 18th. I apologize for its lateness <3
Read on AO3.
“Now, now. We fill this up with some nice hot milk,” Aziraphale dictates to himself as he prepares his treat, “and let the fun begin.”
“Are you having another one?” Crowley asks, strolling by Aziraphale's desk, narrowing his eyelids at the contents of his mug.
“I am,” Aziraphale responds stiffly. “You don’t get to judge.”
“’m not judgin'. Only this is your seventh one today.”
“It’s my fifth, my dear. Don't make me sound like a glutton.”
“I would never do that." Crowley pulls up a chair and joins him. He watches Aziraphale peer into his mug as if the object inside were performing something much more riveting, like Hamlet. "You know, I think you like watching them more than you like drinking them.”
“Hmph. After 6000 years, I thought you knew me better than that." Aziraphale picks up a spoon and starts to stir. "But they are entertaining."
"They seem to have caused quite the kerfuffle. I see them everywhere - in the shops, online. They're all over social media. I would have to say it's a testament to how incredibly bored the humans are, being on lockdown and all."
"Crowley, Crowley, Crowley," Aziraphale tsks. "We’ve been around to see humanity’s greatest achievements, genius innovations come to fruition - the automobile, the Polio vaccine, the aeroplane. But this ..." Aziraphale gestures to his mug with the pride of a mum showing off their child's first artistic endeavor "... may just be the greatest marvel of the modern age.”
"Really?" Crowley crosses his arms over his chest and reclines haphazardly in his chair, tilting back till it's balancing on a single leg. “The hot chocolate bomb is the greatest marvel of the modern age?”
“Absolutely. Leave it to humans to come up with such a compact and delightful treat!"
"Seeing as chimpanzees haven't developed a taste for cocoa, it would be up to the humans to shoulder the burden, wouldn't it?"
"Now you're making fun."
“The humans invented mulled wine, too. Remember?" Crowley points out with a grimace in silent acknowledgment of how many glasses of the stuff he's had to stomach over the centuries. "They heat it up, then they overload it with fruit and spices. Ghastly, it is! Simply ghastly!”
“Yes, well, they can’t all be winners, can they?" Aziraphale says, fanning away the steam. "The point is they tried.”
Crowley huffs. "That's sweet of you, innit?"
"What do you mean?"
"The humans mess up, and you're all Awww! How cute! They tried! But when I give something my all and muck up, it's 'Crowley! That's disgusting! Why does it smell like that!? Why does it have skin on it?' Yada-yada-yada."
"If you're referring to the apple cider incident of yesterday, your concoction had seeds in it! Stems! And fur! How on earth do you get fur in apple cider?"
"It happens when you have to wrestle some vile beastie to get the apples, don't it?"
"Not when you buy them from the market!"
"Not true!" Crowley defends, waggling a finger in Aziraphale's direction. "There are vicious old biddies at the market, and they love apples! They'll just as soon run you down for the last bag of Braeburns as look at you!"
Aziraphale stares, completely dumbfounded that his husband actually took those words in particular and strung them together in a single sentence. "Are you certain you don't want one?" he asks, calmly changing the subject.
"Ngk ... uh ..." Crowley's eyes bounce from the cooling mug of cocoa in front of Aziraphale to the delicately decorated orbs piled high on a platter in the center of the table. With their edible pearls, and dusting of fine, silver glitter, they look more like wedding favors than food. After what happened at their own wedding, Crowley isn't making that mistake again. "No, thank you, angel. I'm not that big a fan of sweet."
"You're just in luck then. These ..." Aziraphale gestures to a second platter of bombs, a much deeper color than the first "... are dark chocolate. They're quite a bit on the bitter side. That should suit you fine."
Crowley shakes his head, dismissing Aziraphale's offer. "I guess I just don't understand the appeal. You can throw together a cuppa cocoa quick and easy, can't you? Chocolate, milk, marshmallows - that's all it is. This seems like making a mountain out of a molehill to me."
"Oh, but it's terribly convenient! Everything you need for the perfect mug of cocoa, all rolled together in one elegantly decorated, plump package."
Crowley smirks, sitting upright with renewed interest. "Well, then. I guess I'll give it a go. I do enjoy plump packages, after all."
Aziraphale fixes Crowley with a side-long, suggestive stare as he drops a dark chocolate sphere into an empty mug and pours in hot milk. "Do you?"
"Of course." Crowley moves closer, pinches his husband on the bum where it hangs over his seat. Then he watches his snack unfurl: the glitter and the pearls drifting away, dissolving in a blink without leaving a trace behind, the dark chocolate succumbing to the heat of the milk and melting, releasing its cache of marshmallows, sending them bobbing to the surface. It doesn't even need a stir really. It all melds, comes together on its own.
Terribly convenient, like Aziraphale said.
"There you are, my dear," the angel says, sliding the mug Crowley's way. "Get started before it gets cold."
Crowley blows carefully across the top, then lifts the mug to his lips the same time Aziraphale does his own and takes a sip.
“Mmm." Aziraphale hums, eyelids fluttering shut, a smile crossing his face. "Heavenly."
Crowley smacks his lips. "They are tasty, aren't they?"
"Mm-hmm."
"Right." Crowley looks into his drink, searching past the marshmallows for an essential ingredient - one neither of them mentioned, but whose smell lingers heavily in the air. "It may be missing one thing. To make it a little more jolly?”
Aziraphale grins. “Some holiday spirit?”
“Perhaps.”
Aziraphale reaches down beside him without opening an eye and lifts an amber bottle of Baileys onto the table. "Ho-ho-ho."

Drabble Advent Calendar - December 4th
We’re almost up to date! Today’s belated prompt is from @janamelie: Aziraphale/Crowley, food porn.
-----------------------------------------------------
Aziraphale gently peeled back the paper, his mouth forming an ‘o’. With careful fingers, he lifted the chocolate heart out of its little box, and held it up, turning it this way and that.
“Why, Crowley! It’s absolutely exquisite.”
Hardly visible in the dim light of the room - Aziraphale preferred candlelight on winter evenings - Crowley leaned against the fireplace, and shrugged.
“It’s really too sweet of you.”
“It’s a...whatsit. Calendar. Thingy.” He waved a hand.
“Yes, but every day! And delivering it yourself.” He smiled, and brought the chocolate slowly to his lips. In the darkness, yellow eyes flickered.
-----------------------------------------------------
Prompts are still open!
Any fandom, any pairing, open to all, and you can prompt multiple times. Every day until December 24th, a random prompt will be chosen to be written. The prompt drawn on December 23rd will get a double drabble, and December 24th will get a vignette! @roadsterguysblog is doing the same thing over here!

2021 Fic Recap!
WHAT A YEAR AM I RIGHT. I wrote a lot in 2021 and I keep trying to remember that because I keep feeling like I wasn't productive enough, which is just ye olde anxiety having a go. so here is everything I wrote last year! #s 2 and 3 were actually fics I started in 2019 and 2020 and finished in 2021, but they count.
anyway, I have so many beautiful and fantastic and funny things planned for 2022! but 2021 wasn't bad either. thanks for coming along for the ride!
1. easy like sunday mornings. this was really an exercise, for me, about writing consistently and about letting go of some of my anxieties regarding what's "AO3-worthy." I wrote it, dang it, and I wanted to put it somewhere. also there is something dead comforting about a nice good morning ficlet.
2. holding steady. this was actually a johnlock fic I started writing before Good Omens aired, and the last chapter had sat unfinished in my drafts for, I kid you not, more than three years. never say never! I finished it!
3. like lightning. started this in 2020, finished this in 2021, now we are here. Crowley got to be a spooky boy. I played in this one with a lot of perspective switching and I really enjoyed it.
4. the thirteenth night. asking the question: what happens in a haunted house if the ghosts get sick of you and your pining bullshit?
5. Dessert First. collab baby!! I wrote chapter 2. the loves of my life wrote the other chapters. it's tasty business, you should read it.
6. the absentee angel. technically, it's never too late to post an awake-the-snake fic. this one was fun! i wrote the same chapter twice: one in my usual style, and the second in a "children's book" style.
7. seems nice. this fic is a great example of how long things take me. I started this fic draft in June 2019, and it finally posted April 2021. I just have to let go of my anxieties sometimes about these long timelines and let the fics live!
8. the tin soldier. written for the @blissfulimperfectionzine, Aziraphale's true form is the armor we see in Wessex. that's right kids, he was naked.
9. rumors (and other things that thrive in the dark). written for the @unleashthechaoszine. the origin of the fucking shit up jacket.
10. truth (and other things that thrive in the light). written for the sexy version of the unleash the chaos zine. fucking shit up jacket, my beloved.
11. the nice list. written for @chamyl's filthy advent calendar for the prompt: just the tip. Aziraphale's making a list and checking it twice.
12. statuesque. 666 words of Crowley being a little shit. what's not to love.
13. worth celebrating. this was my birthday gift from me to fandom - Crowley has a birthday!
14. blue jeans, white shirt. I'm kind of a sucker for fics about A/C and all the humans getting together and being a family. there's also sex on a beach later.
15. being comfy. Aziraphale's kink is Crowley being cozy. I'm sure that surprises exactly zero people.
16. side effects. ah, migraine fic, my own heart. it took me five years to write this fic, but I did it.
Good Omens fandom, thanks for being here this last year. I love you. I can't wait to see what 2022 brings.

Christmas pt 2
25/12/20 - it's christmas, so have some festive fics to celebrate!
Supernatural
Serendipity by whelvenwings on AO3. (23,891 words).
Tags: Alternate Universe - Modern Setting, Actor Castiel, Mechanic Dean, Blind Castiel, Christmas, Road Trips.
My Rating: 5 stars.
Description: Stuck on opposite sides of the country, Dean and Cas make big sacrifices to be together at a special time of the year. However, when they realise that their joint idea of paying a surprise visit to each other's faraway home has left them still trapped miles away from each other, they have to find some way to meet in the middle - and it has to be before midnight if it's going to be perfect...
Notes: This has to be one of my all time favourite fics - I absolutely adored every single character and the plot was fantastic!
Kiss the Baker by Ltleflrt on AO3. (112,697 words).
Tags: Bakery AU, Cop Dean, Baker Castiel, Awkward Flirting, John Winchester’s A+ Parenting, Fluff, Abusive Relationships, Hurt/Comfort, Hurt Castiel, Protective Dean, Artist Dean, Stalking, Vandalism, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Homophobic Language, Domestic Fluff.
My Rating: 4 stars.
Description:Jo is pregnant and craving something a little bit unusual. When she sends Dean on a mission to find her some chocolate cake donuts with bacon sprinkles, he's sure that he'll fail. Luckily his partner Benny comes to his rescue and introduces him to a quirky little bakery that sells all kinds of weird (and delicious!) baked goods. And they do special orders! Dean finds excuses to keep going back, and Castiel finds excuses to keep giving him special treats.
Notes: This was adorable! And the angst was great. And I loved the running joke of Dean being ‘a little bit gay’.
Once Upon a Time In A Disney Store by noxsoulmate on AO3. (23,237 words).
Tags: Disney, Castiel Works in a Store, Uncle Dean, Mary is Dean’s Niece, Fluff, Adorable, Awkwardness, The Little Mermaid, Christmas Fluff, Meddling Kids, Halloween, Halloween Costumes, Marriage Proposal, Prince Dean, Prince Castiel, Weddings, Ice Skating.
My Rating: 5 stars.
Description: When Castiel Novak gets sick and loses his voice for a few days, he comes up with a clever trick to explain his lost voice to the kids in the Disney Store he works at. One little Mary Winchester, however, takes his note too serious and promptly starts a quest for his prince. Will her charming uncle be able to break the curse and be his one true love?
Notes: This is - by far - one of the fluffiest fics I have ever read. Mary is adorable (and generally I find kids really annoying!). Dean and Cas are adorable. Even the minor characters are written brilliantly. I love it!
Every Road Leads To You by songbvrd on AO3. (9,929 words).
Tags: Dean Winchester POV, Djinn, Castiel POV, Idiots In Love, Christmas, Domestic Destiel.
My Rating: 4 stars.
Description: When Cas gets poisoned by a djinn and is unable to be woken, Dean gets sent into his head to wake him up. While Dean is expecting something that's hard to pull Cas from, he never expected to find Cas married with kids and a dog. Dean has to confront what all this means to him and Cas has to decide whether to stay or go.
Notes: I love a good djinn fic, and this certainly delivered! Cas’ dream world was so adorable.
Just for the Holidays by Fallen_Angel_Meg on AO3. (41,509 words).
Tags: Alternate Universe - Movie Fusion, The Holiday, Christmas, Fluff and Angst, New Year’s Eve.
My Rating: 5 stars.
Description: After going through some tough times, Jess, Castiel's best friend, decides the best thing for him to do is to get away for Christmas. She secretly signs up their shared house on a home exchange website and it doesn't take long for them to get some interest. Castiel ends up trading houses with Sam Winchester, despite his hesitations to do so. So now Castiel has to spend his Christmas alone in Lawrence, Kansas. Which isn't so bad because Castiel is looking for some alone time right now, not wanting to get romantically involved with anyone. That is, until he meets Dean Winchester and things get complicated.
Notes: The Holiday is my favourite Christmas film solely for the sheer amount of crack it is on, but this version was unbelievably sweet and so well written!
Christmas Fluff 2020 [series] by expectingtofly on AO3. (7,818 words).
My Rating: 5 stars.
Description: fluffy fics centered around Christmas, written based off prompts from the SPN Advent Calendar 2020 Challenge on Tumblr
Notes: These were so fricking adorable! It was like eating entire gingerbread houses while being hugged and sitting by a fireplace.
Good Omens
A Christmas Princess by Jupiter_Ash on AO3. (6,880 words).
Tags: South Downs Cottage, Established Relationship, POV Outsider, Christmas.
My Rating: 5 stars.
Description: Sara had always known that her uncle was a narrow-minded bigoted arsehole, she just hadn’t realised he was an idiot as well. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, her uncle’s idiocy led Sara all the way to a cosy Christmas cottage in the South Downs.
Notes: This was so sweet, especially the ending. I had to read the scene outside of the bookshop twice to make sure I wasn’t going insane, but what a fabulous idea!
Angels vs Christmas by KittyAug on AO3. (3,891 words).
Tags: Subtext, Crowley (Good Omens) is Crowley (SPN), Christmas, Light Angst, POV Sam Winchester.
My Rating: 4 stars.
Description: Gabriel turns up on Christmas morning with an injured angel and demands that the Winchesters summon Crowley, of all people, to fix him up. Dean is grumpy, Cas is confused and Sam is way too drunk for this. No one knows what’s going on.
Notes: I love how chill Sam is with all the goings on, and Crowley’s protectiveness is adorable.
I did read some other fics but I didn't have enough time to type them up, so I'll save them for next year. Have a nice holiday!

While the holiday season is probably going to look a lot different than in years past, it doesn’t mean that we can’t still enjoy some Christmas traditions, like the Book Riot literary advent calendar!
In years past, Book Riot has posted a literary advent calendar, filled with a daily literary reading as we count down the days until Christmas. They included links to poems from Longfellow, short stories from O’Henry, and essays from Sedaris; classic readings which have become a part of many people’s Christmas traditions.
Tumblr media
We come to you this year with a new, updated literary advent calendar for 2020, with all new links for each daily read. While there are still a few classic works included and poems aplenty, you’ll also find new types of entries! A few reads you can look forward to are an oral history of a classic holiday Folgers commercial; videos of poems being read aloud; a Good Omens Christmas fanfic; a blessing for the Winter Solstice; and a Drunk History video on Charles Dickens and A Christmas Carol.

GO Advent Calendar | Day 26
Day 26 | Family & Friends
To say the last night had been short was the understatement of the century.
After Warlock had calmed down, Aziraphale had led him to the guestroom so he could change into his pajamas and join them in the living room afterwards.
Crowley had taken the opportunity and put on a shirt himself. When he came back, his love sat on the couch, still not able to form a coherent sentence.
“I am not dreaming, Angel, am I?” he had asked after a while and Aziraphale had shaken his head.
“This is all real, dearest.”
Warlock returned, slumped down between them and leaned into Crowley’s side. Without further ado, Crowley turned on the TV and they watched one of those silly Christmas movies.
Aziraphale tried to read, but he caught himself more than once watching his beloved and their former antichrist. The boy seemed to be content, not even questioning once why his nanny suddenly was a man, or why Aziraphale looked so different. Warlock fell asleep when the movie was halfway through, and when Aziraphale wanted to rise and carry him to bed, Crowley waved him off and so Aziraphale pulled a blanket over Warlock before he snuggled against Crowley’s other side.
~*~
They fell asleep as that and Crowley woke with a loud groan and a stiff neck. Both, Warlock and his angel, were still sleeping and he enjoyed the quietness and the warm feeling of love that surrounded him. ‘This is what true happiness must feel, huh?’ Crowley mused.
He carded his fingers through Warlock’s dark hair. He would never admit it openly, but he had missed his little hellspawn very much. He also missed the Them and Adam. Yeah, alright, he loved kids …
With a loud sigh, he bent down and woke his angel with a soft kiss. It was a rare occasion that Aziraphale fell asleep too, but when he did he was definitely no morning person. He grumbled slightly before he pushed himself up and blinked drowsily at Crowley.
“Good morning, Angel.” Crowley gave his love another kiss. “We should get started, our guests will arrive soon.”
Aziraphale grumbled again and rose to his feet.
“You should wake Warlock too,” he mumbled as he made his way to the bathroom.
Crowley caressed Warlock’s cheek. “Wake up hellspawn. Your friends will be here shortly.”
Warlock’s eyelids fluttered slightly before he opened them. He gave Crowley a small smile.
“You’re still here, Nanny,” he whispered happily. “It’s not a dream?”
“No, it’s no dream. You are really here.”
Warlock stretched a bit and Crowley patted his tummy. “Let’s get going,” he said happily.
~*~
The others arrived all together. Anathema, Newt, the Them, Adam, Deidre and Arthur Young, and shortly after them newlywed Mr. and Mrs. Shadwell. Crowley’s flat had never been filled with so much life.
The children and he sat in the living room, playing Monopoly, while Aziraphale entertained the adults. It was the best day since their trials, since they had confessed their love to each other.
Warlock wanted to stay with them until his mother came back, and it needed a lot of coaxing from Adam and the Young’s that he went with them. Crowley had to promise him that they would see each other again soon.
~*~
When Aziraphale and he lay in bed later that evening, Crowley curled up next to him.
“Do you think we will stay in contact with Warlock?”
Aziraphale turned his head to his love. “Why should we not? As long as he wants to have us in his life, we will.”
Crowley placed his hand on Aziraphale’s chest. “Thank you, Angel.”
“What for?”
“For loving me. For making me the happiest demon on earth. For making me feel like I do.”
Aziraphale turned on his side and kissed Crowley lovingly. “I love you too, my dear."
And Aziraphale would do, as long as God would let him.
-The End-
~💕~

“Oh, hello Crowley, I didn’t hear you come in.”
The demon was standing a few feet away, leaning against a bookshelf with his arms crossed in front of his chest.
“I’m putting up some Christmas decorations. ‘Tis the season after all.”
“Yeah, but that specific decoration? One might think you have an ulterior motive.”

2019 in Review? 😴
Hey y’all, chuckaboos. I would very much love to stay up to the midnights and reflect on the ways Good Omens changed my year and ring in 2020 with some real silly memes.
And also post a few more chapters of that Advent calendar fic to AO3, and maybe finish that project I spent all day on (hint: part 2 of 3).
Unfortunately I caught a fever off the adorable bundle of ginger hair and germs that I call “nephew” and I’m calling it a night.
Highlights of my year tho:
NGL has the anxieties and the depressions real bad for at least a year but kept going. Watching the GO trailer always cheered me up.
Had kind of a big fight with some friends towards the end of May, right before my birthday (35, I’m old!) partly spurred by said anxiety. 😞 This, however, led me to take a seriously look at my own mental health and what boundaries I needed to set for myself.
Watched Good Omens, and the sheer power of love, not just from the characters but from all the team that made it helped me feel so much better (you could feel the love in every frame)
(Also took a week long vacation and picked up two old hobbies again: hiking and writing)
Became utterly inspired by the possibilities presented by a 6,000 year love story. Started writing. Still writing.
Reconnected with an old friend who offered to be my beta reader and helped me post to AO3. Now have over 100,000 words posted. And I haven’t even finished uploading everything I’ve got.
Joined Tumblr and met up with such a wonderful, loving fandom community, reminding me of the fandoms I belonged to in my youth. Back before things got so toxic, or at least back when I was too young to notice the toxicity 😆
But seriously seeing all y’all’s art and stories has been absolutely wonderful! Still jealous of all the artists 😂 but feeling more comfortable in myself as a writer, among my peers 😉
Came out to my mom as ace which was...kind of a disappointment 🙄 (she still has no idea what it means and doesn’t see the need to talk about it) but also got much more comfortable talking about asexuality, at least on Tumblr 😁
Wrote a 30k+ story, complete plot, complete character arcs, theme, foreshadowing for future stories, everything!
Joined a writing challenge and created over 50k in interconnected short stories, which I’m still in the process of putting on AO3
Actually listened to the music of Queen? And liked it?? A lot!
Got fan art made of things I wrote?? 😭
So Happy New Year everyone! I’m going to go take a big dose of chamomile and try to sleep off the DISEASE!
🧟‍♀️
(I don’t have all my links here, but my Masterlist has also been reblogged!)

He’s not tidying for customers - why bother? They tend to scatter trouble and disorder in their wake, and he’s glad to have seen the last of them, at least for this year. Now that he doesn’t feel the need to maintain the book-selling pretense so strongly, now that Heaven is no longer looking over his shoulder, his opening hours - sporadic at the best of times -  might best be described as ‘abysmal’ this holiday season.
This year, really - the last half of it, at least, after Armageddon’t, after nearly failing to save the world. After believing the shop burned down to ashes, only to find it restored to mint condition by the grace of a human-incarnate Antichrist. After revelations about the Great Plan, and the Ineffable Plan, and the bureaucratic mindlessness of Heaven and Hell, and the absurdity of marching to a beat set so far in the past even its echoes have long since faded to silence.
After revelations rather more personal, more private. More human. More dear.
Day 31 of the advent calendar of prompts from the utterly amazing @drawlight. No, seriously - I cannot thank you enough. This has been a whirlwind and a comfort, a challenge and a blessing, and I never thought I’d have the strength to see it through, but here we are.
Thank you, also, to every single person who has cared enough to read these, has been generous enough to share their thoughts, has been amazing enough to share kudos or reblog or bookmark - I see you. I see you, and I love you, and I will get to all those comments, I promise, I’m just...a little overwhelmed, in the best way.
Thank you, and Happy New Year. May 2020 bring you only the absolute best - it’s what you deserve.

Only one month left until Christmas! 🎅 Time to share my Good Omens Advent Calendar!
I was looking for an Advent Calendar prompt list, but could only find old ones, so I decided to make my own. I’ve already written 24 drabbles/ficlets that I’ll be posting daily on AO3 starting from the 1st December, but I thought I could do a little graphic and share it, in case people need some inspiration.
Please feel free to use it and share it. The prompts are not specific to Good Omens, so they could be used for any fandom, I think. I’ll be tracking the “Good Omens Advent Calendar” and “Good Omens Advent Calendar 2020” tags, because I just can’t get enough of Christmas-themed stuff.

Day 9: Red 🧁
Snippet:
"Hey, angel. Got something for you."
Crowley handed Aziraphale a bright red box with the name of one of the angel's favourite bakeries printed on it.
"Oh. Thank you."
Aziraphale put the box down on his writing desk and opened it. A delighted expression lit up his whole face when he saw what was inside: four red velvet cupcakes, each topped with a perfect swirl of white creamy frosting and sprinkled with tiny red and green sugar stars.
