Tener alta sensibilidad es un poco como tener el cuerpo en carne viva y el corazón expuesto a la intemperie. Sientes más, de todo. No es fácil.

El otro día, en un momento de desánimo, mi madre, que normalmente es la pesimista de la familia, me sorprendió y alentó con la siguiente afirmación: “Elena, nosotras sufrimos más por todo, pero vibramos también más por todo. Captamos matices que no todo el mundo ve. Nos emocionamos hasta lo más profundo de nuestro ser. Una música, un libro, una caricia, un insecto que vuela. Somos incansables detectoras de belleza. Y aunque el precio a pagar sea a veces muy alto en términos de emociones negativas, yo no cambio por nada al mundo mi sensibilidad con la indiferencia y superficialidad de muchos.”

Pues sí, mamá, si al fin y al cabo estoy de acuerdo contigo, lo admito a regañadientes, porque es mi eterna lucha interior, pero en el fondo sé que hasta uno solo de esos escalofríos, tan solo uno de esos, que me recorren entera como una descarga eléctrica, vale todo un camino de oscuridad.

So, you are looking for some love advice for women? Well, you came to the right place. I want to address one basic idea that I believe, if followed, will make for a great relationship (at least as far as you're part is concerned).

They say that the most profound truths are often the simplest bits of advice - this article will hopefully fall along those lines.

What I am about to tell you flat out works as it is time-tested and mother-approved. Here it is: Give your man some respect.

I know that many women will not want to hear about respecting a man and they read stuff into that. So, let me be clear about what I am NOT saying.

I am not saying you are a doormat and should be trampled on. I am not saying that you are less important than he is. I am not saying that he is a harsh taskmaster over you.

Here is what I AM saying. Women need to be secure and feel loved. I know a lot of women who get turned on when their man rubs on their back, throws out the trash, or whispers sweet words in their ear. We want to feel important and valued.

Well, men are no different. If a man feels that he is important and valued and yes, respected, then you will bring out the best in him.

There are exceptions to this rule as some men are unhealthy and nothing will bring out the best in them as they need clinical help but the great majority of men will WANT to do all they can to care for you and love on you when they feel respected. This is without a doubt the best love advice for women.

@hopeisgrey told me that I just sound so mad at myself. And I realised wait I am. The futures i envisioned for myself changed so much in the past few years, from my dream job to my dream partner. I realised that among this I kept floating, looking for the right answers in my past, looking at my past to tell me where I went wrong.

Those attempts Flopped obviously. The answers are not in the past, they lie in the future. So the journey is never about finding the answer, maybe its about creating one. This way you don't even need to be upset , because its all your hands, right now, its in the decision you make with every next breath.
