#digital art #artists on tumblr #illustrators on tumblr #original illustration #original art #sasha's art #work and classes start next week for me and also for all of my friends #and probably the whole city as well #so i wanted to do something to say goodbye to this summer #there was so much stress we went through with me moving to a new country and figuring out health care and banks and all of that fun stuff #and a lot of going back and forth between vienna and my home town #and also two (2) of my friends moved apartments and everyone went on vacation at different times #BUT #throught it all we still managed to see each other a lot and i feel like we made the most of it #i had fun and i really appreciated it all #so i wanted to capture all of these small moments #the swims in the danube and the picknics and the swans with their chattering #this was my first summer i got to spend while living in this city i've dreamed about my whole life #and i got to spend it with the love of my life and a beautiful group of friends #here's to many more!! #i hope you all also had a nice summer and i hope your return to work/ school/ whatever is comfortable and easy ! #i have many ideas for art currently which always happens when i am about to have yero free time lmao #we'll see how much time i manage to make for it and when i can post my next big Piece #but hopefully soon!! my resolve is Big and my passion is all encompasing !!!!

I feel like in the chaos that was four days of finales and the controversy and the anguish over the ending we as a fandom did not discuss c!Tommy's invis thing enough. the total disintegration of his character to have gone from the loud teenager to a shell of a person who visited his own best friend invisible because he was afraid of what might happen if anyone saw him. the pain and shame he must have been carrying, alone, hiding in a hole in the ground (going mad over the pogtopia parallels) because his house has been tampered with too wickedly this time. and yet he bares his soul to tubbo, and tubbo is gentle, and tubbo is kind. tubbo goes along with his plan even though he thinks it'll end badly because "Tom isn't really living, is he?" and then in the silo when the only plan left is to kill Tommy, Tubbo asks if they can't find someone else to be the bait, because "You're the only one I care about anymore" and even in their most broken down states they love each other. defiantly and desperately, they love.

I just have a lot of Big Feelings about the fact that Leo and Raph, on their first Real Serious Missions as Leaders (the movie and Bug Busters, respectively), both mess up in almost identical ways

They both ignore their brother’s advice to be more cautious (Raph ignores Leo’s warnings about Big Mama, Leo ignores Raph’s warnings to take things more seriously), have to then be bailed out by said brother (Leo saves the team from being thrown into the Battle Nexus, Raph saves Leo from getting impaled), get Donnie and Mikey captured/almost killed (trapped in the Battle Nexus, crushed in the Turtle Tank), lose an important item to villains (the oozequitos and the key) that releases monsters into the world (the mutants and the Kraang), and nearly get their brother killed (Leo gets thrown off a skyscraper, Raph gets taken over by the Kraang).

But then they both own up to their mistakes, unlock their powers, and save each other. Raph throws himself off that roof right after Leo without even thinking of his own life, and Leo throws down his weapons knowing Kraang!Raph might kill him. Because they love each other, are willing to die for each other, and now get what it means to be responsible for the team’s lives after seeing just how easily they can lose each other.

Rise said “the only way to truly understand leadership is to almost kill the one guy who’s looking out for you” and it hits me hard every time

#rottmnt #rise of the tmnt #leo #raph #god i just. love parallels #raph was just as goofy and careless as leo at the beginning of the show #he was just a kid playing hero #but then leo gets thrown off a roof and it hits him that his brothers could DIE if he's not careful #and we see him getting more and more responsible over the course of the show #the movie is raph trying to keep leo from making the same mistakes he did #but ultimately leo has to learn that lesson the hard way #because it's one thing to be told you're responsible for people #and another thing to really REALIZE it #leo isn't being uniquely stubborn or stupid #he's just a kid who's still riding the high of beating their worst enemy #and who gets uncomfortable with serious conversations #why stress out when they could stack pizza? #they both need to almost kill their brother to fully grasp their new responsibility #and become what their family needs #and i'm gonna cry about it forever goodbye
