god i just read the 5x07 synopsis about there being a prison riot, and i can’t stop thinking about buck losing eddie in the crowd and just freaking out. he doesn’t care how deadly it is, he just keeps shouting for eddie, but he can’t find him— just like how he couldn’t find chris during the tsunami. he can’t lose eddie, he can’t, so he just keeps shouting and hoping eddie will call back to him. the next time eddie calls out to buck, eddie is held hostage. they lock eyes. a million emotions being thrown between them. it’s a reminder that they’re both alive now. it’s a promise that all the words that have been left unspoken between them will have to come to life if they both make it out alive. it’s an “i love you.”
