So wait, if Eret has issues because of his sudden lack of a tail does that mean Wilbur has issues from having one? Do they both just kinda walk around like drunks for a while?

YES AND YES

wilbur keeps tripping on his tail :'3c

he would have less control over it and it would be swayed by his emotions very easily (compared to tommy for example) making him quite the open book for a while. he also wouldnt know how to take care of it so the tip ends up very messy

also if someone touches it he just. Jumps because at first he keeps going "what part of my body was THAT" but that settles over time.

im workin on some stuff for it rn! ;w; ) ive got an eret-centric comic, a thing regarding the elections that was ORIGINALLY going to be the end of 'burns on blackstone walls' but i think it works better seperately as well as something to reveal more about the dream team/their whole dynamic

buuuuuut heres some lil details/extra notes about the au in the meantime?

-------

- wilbur doesnt smoke. he just lights cigarettes and lets them burn down before stubbing them out. after the betrayal he specifically stubs them out on the l'manberg walls.

- the l'manberg outfits were made by wilbur and eret originally! although fundy made his own with eret's direction

- tommy takes GREAT delight in showing wilbur the borrowers tunnels, but they are incredibly disorienting for wilbur and he gets lost far too many times. one day he accidentally ends up in erets castle, and watches as eret solemnly wanders its halls.

- wilbur keeps overestimating how far he can fall so he keeps hurting his legs

- fundy is still wilburs son in this (although heck knows how that worked) and he takes this opportunity to pick up his father for cuddles when wilburs overworking himself >:3c

Eret getting to actually use his role as king to protect Tommy, Wilbur genuinely fearing for his life, Quackity realizing that Eret can and well kill a bitch, and Tommy slowly returning to normal realizing that he's genuinely safe!

Eret made a really big breakfast for Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo before they went home cuz he wanted to make sure they ate

Does Eret find out that Wilbur has been shrunk because of him?

What kind of side effects does Dream have to deal with? (You mentioned that he has a way so he doesn't get affected by stuff like this but has other problems.) What kind of problems does he deal with- if it's not too spolier-y?

Also- OOGH, can I just. ramble about how Tommy must have thought at the moment he saw Eret become human?

I would assume he'd be confused at first because it's such a surreal feeling. But that confusion would turn to dread as he hears Eret speak.

It's so loud compared to how Eret would normally speak. His normal soft, low voice is now boomingly deep and scary. (Maybe it's even louder than the other human's voices because Eret is most likely used to having to always speak a lot louder around his human friends so that loudness carries over.)

The actual understanding that 'Eret is BIG now' is slow to dawn on Tommy, but it finally crashes down as Eret grins down at him. He's filled with a sense of terror, and he has to take a second to process. But... he doesn't have a second to process because everything is moving so quickly. The feeling of betrayal hasn't even set in yet since he's so taken aback by everything.

I just. have lotta feelings :wheeze;

(And I'm sorry this is so long. I hope it's at least a little comprehensible-)

ALRIGHT SO. tommy is not havin a good time, hes just been betrayed, watched his former friend become a human and NOW wilbur is a borrower?? (hes also. pretty happy after he gets over the initial shock because yes he gets to hug wilbur, and he also gets to show wilbur his room and all the cool borrower-only passageways throughout the server)

wilbur, like eret, was awake when the swap happened, although he would have lost his first life before he could register much of it. unfortunately for tommy, this means when wilbur respawns hes VERY panicked and confused. everything is so Big and Loud, but tommys presence helps to anchor him.

the best way to put it is: the trivial nature of mortal exchanges mean nothing compared to a deal made with something that an rend reality from its seams, but chooses not to because it is curious.

(and well. when you are tied to a being so powerful yet fickle, there is of course, a price to pay. especially when it does not favour you)

and thats a difficult question :'>!! i guess it would depend on what other powers you have for the others so far as well, because it would make sense for him to 1. not have the same powers 2. have something to balance the others out (but that also depends on whether or not you want to have them work together or not ig)

but other than that, theres a lotta stuff thats possible! could be something to do with their eyes, especially with the fact that they wear sunglasses all the time- perhaps something to do with making eye contact? like, maybe they have the powers of hypnosis/the ability to put people to sleep/into a trance (*cough cough* deep calm voice suits this also) when they make eye contact

or maybe their eyes are a weakness that come with their powers, like they have powers over light and the ability to produce and refract light, but their eyes are sensitive to light because of it? (hrbvjcjd wait i just realised that could tie into rainbows...... jhvhjvmhbvfhihjhdbkj another win for the gays /lh) maybe he can create hard-light constructs, barriers or walls (eh? eh?? eret helped design/build the lmanberg walls lmao)

also if u want some more basis in dsmp Lore, theres the fact that theyr related in some way to herobrine-
