Hello can I request a short story of karma seeing reader at the old classroom of 3-E after 7 years (and that both of them having a crush on each other during their junior high) then they went inside and talked Abt the things they did back then and their memories (pls add sum sad parts) the classroom was filled with nostalgia then when it was time for the reader to go home karma stops them and told them Abt his feelings back then (basically a confession) then it's up to you

you hear a voice from behind you. turning around, you smile and run towards it.

"karma!!" you jump into his arms, as he laughs and spins you around while you muffle your giggling in his shoulder.

"it's been a while." you sigh, as he playfully set you down. he smiles at you. "yes, it has."

"come on, now. let's go see everyone else!" you exclaimed.

he sighs and shakes his head. "alright, alright."

you grab his hand and drag him along into the small building. there's a small party going on in one of the rooms, with food and drinks.

you see many of your old friends. some look a little different than before, such as nagisa, who finally cut his hair.

"guys!! hi!" you say, smiling as you stride into the room.

"hey, y/n! how's it going?" kataoka says.

you run over to your friends to catch up on everything that's happened for the past 7 years, as well as jesting them about their love lives.

"speaking of which, y/n, what about you?? did you finally find someone?" rio teases.

karma hears this, and instinctively listens closer.

you sigh theatrically, and place your hand upon your forehead while slightly leaning back.

"alas, i have not. i've been quite busy these past 7 years. i did so happen to ace my job interview, though!" you add in, slowly beginning to brag about the money you were getting.

rio chuckles. "well, at least we know you'll be fine even if you end up alone for the rest of your life!"

"hey!!" you laughed, gaping at her while dramatically holding your hand over your heart. "that hurts!" you frown.

"i doubt that." she teases, as you roll your eyes playfully and go get some refreshments.

rio walked over to karma, who had been listening intently the whole time. "you're not slick, karma. they totally saw you."

"hush, they did not!" he smirks.

"did too."

"did no—" rio interrupted him, shaking a finger in his face.

"anyways-- you should confess to them." she smiles.

"are you kidding? any feelings they might have had are definitely gone." he sighs.

"i don't think so," rio starts. "i think they're still into you."

karma grumbles something under his breath, looking away, and rio sighs playfully. "just give it some thought. if you decide you need help, i'll totally be your wingwoman!" she winks.

he just chuckles, and said, "sure, then. let's give them a shot."

about an hour had passed, and you decided you wanted to walk around the old campus. 7 years is a while, you wanted to see if anything had changed.

obviously, you invited karma to join you.

"come on, it'll be fun!"

he laughed and replied, "maybe i can throw myself off the cliff again!"

"karma!!" you shriek, doubling over in laughter. "that's not funny!"

"you're showing it very well." he says, giving you a thumbs up.

you grab his hand as you run around and observe all around the campus. it seems that most of the scenery has stayed the same.

you both recall funny memories, your old study areas, the place where you held your trainings, and more.

but of course, the most abundant being in your memories was korosensei.

"i still think about him, a lot." you say, brushing your hand against the ground as you sat down.

"..so do i." karma sighed, lowering down next to you. you both talk about him and remember all the memories. even though he was dead, he continued to have a happy place in your memories.

karma wrapped an arm around your shoulder as you continued to reminisce.

"he's the reason i was able to get this far in the first place. i owe him everything." you smile.

you both basked in the silence as you were overwhelmed by the nostalgia.

"hey, y/n, there's something i—"

"guys, come here! we've got cake!!" nagisa shouted from the campus.

"ooh, cake!!" you exclaimed, easily pulled away from the silence.

karma laughed and helped you up. you both walked back to the classroom, hand in hand.

after you had both gotten your cake slices, you went to go converse some more.

"so, how'd it go, loverboy?" rio smiles.

"didn't happen." he sighed.

"what?!" rio gawked at him. "after all my help??"

karma laughed. "what help??" he whispered. "you gave me a cookie and then kicked me in the deep end."

"i thought you already knew how to swim." she shrugged.

"can i have a snorkel?" he joked.

after a few more hours and activities, everyone had decided it was time to leave. you wanted to help clean up, so you decided to stay back and send everyone off.

little did you know, that karma had also decided to hang around.

"need some help?" he teased, seeing you struggle to get every single plate at once.

"would be nice," you smiled. he easily took the stack and carried them to the trash bin while you got a few paper towels to clean the tables. karma helped everywhere else.

after the cleaning, you swore the classroom looked cleaner than when you came.

"nice job, karma!! it looks great in here." you say proudly, with your hands on your hips. "we.. should probably get going now. i know you're pretty busy."

"sure, let's go." he smiles, scooping you up as you giggle.

he carries you to the front, while you groan, and tell him you forgot your things. he sets you down, and you run back inside as he leans against a tree while waiting for you.

his thoughts were running through his head. could they have noticed how nervous i've been today?? i've barely made any jokes at all.

i definitely need to tell them. right now.

you arrive again, ready to leave the school. "alright, karma. see you around!" you smile and begin to walk off.

although a little apprehensive, he stops you.

"wait, y/n." he says, with a smile on his face. "there was something i wanted to tell you earlier." he says.

"yeah, what's up?" you smirked.

slightly stuttering and breaking his usually chill persona, he started to speak.

"i.. i don't know if anyone told you this, but, i used to have a big crush on you. like, huge." he started.

you faced him, and crossed your arms and smiled. "really? i never noticed. tell me more." you teased him lightly.

he put his hands in his pockets. "so... you knew?" he said, feeling a little defeated.

"please, you were a junior high student. as slick as you thought you were, you were a little dumb." you joke.

"that's not very nice," he rolls his eyes dramatically. you laugh and take a few steps closer to him.

gently taking hold of his hands, you look into his eyes. "i knew the whole time. but, there's something i don't know now."

"if that happens to be a certain question, i think you might be in luck." he says.

"it seems you already know." you whisper, leaning a little closer.

"yes, y/n. i still very much like you." he sighs.

you tried to hide your excitement, but karma couldn't help but notice the sparkle in your eyes.

"then... would you mind if i--" you begin to say, but karma interrupted you.

karma gently brings you in and gives you a kiss.

you sigh softly into the kiss, relieved that he reciprocated your feelings. that have indeed been actively increasing over the years.

you slowly pull away. "maybe we'll be seeing each other more often than we think." you whisper.

"i'd like that a lot, i think." karma whispers back.

you walk back with him, hand in hand, with your minds more at peace than they've ever been in the past 7 years.

not to be extremely predictable abt the characters i ask abt but do you imagine any of the p7 are still around during or right before the future au? i know they are. Old. but i always am fond of the concept of like the old folks helping out at the camp after pn2.

Im always so very tossed up about how and If the p7 are still around during the aac timeline . But for the sake of “it would be funny if,” I will simply say they Are. (And ramble more about the thoughts ive had about a couple that might Not be and Why under a cut bc its kind of depressing)

Otto will never die and will never leave the Motherlobe much to Hollis and Truman’s dismay. The older he gets the more powerful he gets. He continues to contribute, arguably with increasing efficiency, but as each year passes he gets less and less concerned about getting caught doing things outside of the parameters of Psychonauts rules. “What are you gonna do? Fire me? Lmao” *goes back to working on his death beam that he just made because it was funny.*

I have this hc that at some point Sam makes it her mission to renovate the Lumberstack Diner as the Questionable Area? becomes more profitable over the years. And i think Compton working as a cook there would be a nice little job for him to have while in retirement. Cooking is like the one type of stress he can handle i think. Hes so so scared but in the comfort of something familiar so its less likely to cause him to start blowing things up.

Bob and Helmut deserve a nice little retirement home and I think theyre the primary residents of the Gulch (next to maybe Cassie and Compton?) They supervise (re: sometimes run into and chat with) Raz and his team who have basically taken up their own residence in the Gulch. Perks of being teammates with agent Aquato and Zanotto is that you dont have to resort to dormitories.

I’m not sure what’s up with Cassie! I don’t think she’s doing much either, probably also sticking around the Gulch. Though i think through the support of the others she at least gets Slightly more involved with the Psychonauts or going out into towns to do book signings so that she doesn’t become a complete and total recluse again.

I think Ford and Lucy are out traveling a lot while they’ve still got the time to. Making up for a whole lotta lost time n all that, giving each other time to talk and jazz. They’re not around a lot but they visit often!

When i run through which characters it would be like. Narratively “Best” to have passed away around the AAC timeline, my mind always immediately jumps to these two. Like obviously I think some characters would be more likely to have died before them (looking at you my friend Bob) or ones that could be more impactful in other directions (Cassie and Compton having to learn to exist without one another) but considering their last narrative experiences in Pn2 was finding each other again for the first time in years, it feels like any of those four (Bob, Helmut, Cassie, Compton) passing away would just be a disservice to prior storytelling. And Otto will never die, as I’ve said, so don’t even worry about him <3

I just think a lot about a story in which Ford and Lucy pass on before Raz can ever really reconcile any of his issues he had with either of them. A story in which he’s happy to see them getting along and traveling together, but every time they leave he holds his breath and counts down the days until they make it back and he can guarantee they’re still alive and he goes “This time, this time I’ll say something,” and then he doesn’t because how do you even bring up that conversation after all this time.

And then eventually they pass and it’s almost poetic, really, going at around the same time. But he never got to say anything to them, never got to reconcile and barely got a goodbye. And now he has to learn how to deal with that. How to deal with the fact that they’re still everywhere, in True Psychic Tales issues, on murals, on old pictures, inherently buried in the history of the psychonauts.

And i dont know. I think it’s an interesting story to explore. In a hypothetical real Psychonauts future story, you enter the story with some characters trying to question Raz about something theyre worried about that he always cuts off or dodges before you get to hear, but the lack of any mention of Ford or Lucy is so absent that it’s palpable. Stuff like that.

Omg! I love this idea and I don't see much either as I love Octane just as much. I'm sorry it took me so long to write and I'm sorry if the fight scene is a bit messy. I'm not really good with fighting scenes but I feel like Octane would do something like this so enjoy :)

“What are you doing? Are you crazy?” Lifeline asked as bullets were going past her head. 

“I’m gonna ask her to marry me. I mean I don’t see the issue here, plus she and I have been dating for a while. I don’t see her saying no.” Octane said as he peaked over the ledge to see where the enemy team was. 

“But we're in the middle of a fight right now. Are you sure she’s not gonna say no because we're preoccupied?” Lifeline asked as Octane shook his head. 

“I don’t think so. If in all honesty I think everyone will be shocked that Octavio Silva is finally settling down after all these years. I know I would be.” Octane laughed as Y/N made a winge noise over mic and then called out that she was downed by a second team. 

“Well, here’s your chance to be the hero. Go get them I guess.” Lifeline said as she rolled her eyes. She peaked over the ledge that Octane had just looked over and had seen where Y/N had gone down and sighed knowing that if he didn’t hurry the ring was going to pinch them and that was something she didn’t want to deal with.

“I’m coming Y/N! Just hold on!” Octane called over mic as he jabbed the needle of his stim into his chest and jetted out of the building on the north east side of The Mirage Voyage, grabbing the zipline, and then down to the second floor where he saw Mirage finishing Y/N and Wraith guardian the door.

“Wow, that's quite the predemis—Pruh—Preh... Predicam—uh... It's a bad situation for you.” Mirage smiled as he started moving backwards in some type of moonwalk dance and kick up his foot to finish Y/N but ended up stopping as Octane pulled out his R-99 and started shooting him, stopping him from finishing Y/N, and had both Wraith and Mirage focused on Octane so Lifeline could pick Y/N up.

"On yuh feet. Lifeline's gotcha back." Lifeline smiled as she had quickly followed Octane down the zipline and through the building to pick Y/N up. The three of them now dealing with Wraith and Mirage that when Y/N did finally heal up Lifeline had gotten shot by their third member Bangalore and groaned seeing her down weapon was a G Scout fully kitted.

“Tango down.” Bangalore smirked as she and Y/N locked eyes. Bangs was about to go after Y/N when Octane got between the two and sat down on one knee nearly confusing Bangalore and Y/N on what he was doing.

“Le-et me have this moment real quick, please?” Octane said as he shot at Bangalore giving her a warning and then downed Mirage as he tried to finish the job with Y/N.

“What are you doing? We have to finish them!” Y/N growled as she was aiming her gun at Bangalore looking around to figure out where the hell Wraith had fazed off too.

“Something I should have done a long time ago but was too chicken to do so…” Octane said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out what could only be but a small square velvet box. 

“You gotta be kidding me.” Bangalore said while shaking her head, “You're doing this now?!”

Octane nodded his head, “Uh, yeah, I don’t see a better time than doing it now.” 

Lifeline rolled her eyes as she and Bangalore waited for Octane to continue. The three of them standing on the bottom floor of the building just watching the ring grow closer as Mirage was knocked down in a corner, probably talking to Wraith and figuring out what to do while the other team and Bangalore were off proposing to people.

“Well, get on your knee Silva, got less than four-five.” Bangalore said as Octane quickly nodded and turned to face Y/n. His left hand removing his goggles so everyone could see his brown eyes and his cheeks a bit pink as he, himself, couldn’t believe he was doing this.

“Come on Silva we don’t have all day.” Lifeline said as she was starting to join the group of annoyed people.

“Right, Y/N, -” Octane began as Y/N nodded smiling from ear to ear, “-I know we haven’t been an item for a long time and I know we’ve been friends for twice as much, but ever since that day up on Kings Canyon on the jump course, where we did some sick teamwork on the jump pads, I knew I wanted to spend  foverever with you. You're fun and amazing and when you do that thing with the P2020.” She flipped it around her pointer finger and then threw it up into the air before catching and putting it back into its holster, “I knew you were the love of my life, my partner in crime, my life long duo…” the list goes on and on as when Octane finally pulled out the ring Y/N gasped. The diamond was green wrapped around pure silva (see what I did there??). It was the same color as his stim and green hair. Tiny but on point as he didn’t want something flashy, but enough to catch someone’s eye. He wanted the ring to represent him and her put together and to show that Octavio Silva can be locked down. He just had to find someone special enough to do so.

“Awe, babe, you… shouldn’t have…” Y/N said as she held out her hand and waited for Octane to finish. 

“Come on Silva pick it up we gotta go!” Bangalore said as she tapped her foot against the concrete. 

“Ooo, right…” Octane said as he nodded. He pulled the ring out of the velvet box and smiled, holding it up to Y/N with a smile, “Will you make me the most happiest man alive and marry me?” 

Y/N smiled nodding, “Of course you idiot. Of Course.'' and when she slipped on the ring Wraith came out of nowhere and finished off the three of them. First throwing a grenade and weakening them and then knocking all three of them with a R-301.

“Jesus, Wraith, couldn’t come fast enough? Where did you go?” Bangalore said as she threw down and heat shield and started looting through Octane’s box.

“I had to take care of some outside squads. I heard some strays while shielding up earlier and just sorry I came back late.” She said as she picked up Mirage who was mumbling some nonsense to himself. He looted through Y/N’s box as when the three of them were done. Heading out of the building and took off on the zipline.

“Did you know he was going to propose all this time?” Mirage asked as he looked back at Bangalore.

“Yeah, but I wasn’t expecting him to nearly kill us all with ring.” Banaglore sighed as she felt the heat from the ring burn her skin.

“Damn. Such a shame they all had to go out like that. Would have been rom-roman-uh cool if they got to be the champion squad in the end.” Mirage stumbled as Wraith nodded.

“Yeah, it would have, but I decided to end things. Now come on. We have less than three squads left and this ring is really burning us here.” Wraith said as they jumped off the zipline and headed to the next. They had a long way to go, but in the end Octane was happy and so was Y/N.

i didn't wanna reply over there cus this ended up getting rly long but there's this post by @shitpostingperidot and @marvelsassbutts about carol and maria's GNR concert in 88 and my brainworms got to making up hc after hc now all i think about is how that could've been the first time they got together despite mutually pining and coparenting monica for like 4/5 years or so anywayyy

idk if there's like a screenshot frame of monica's sword file or smth that shows her birthday in exact terms so i might be going on abt nothing here but listen

mcu wiki says she was born around june/october of 1983

it also says carol and maria met in their first year of AF academy "shortly after turning 18", so that's either late 1983 or early 1984, bc carol's birthday is late 65

which means monica was already in the picture by then 🥺🥺

what i'm thinking is maria got pregnant at around 17/18 and her parents took care of monica for the first year or so when she enlisted bc why wouldn't they

but as soon as she lands the test pilot job and starts making bank they're like "i love you so much and i'm very proud of you now here's your child go be her mom"

this is like in their 2nd or 3rd year of flight school so it catches everyone by surprise, and ofc higher ups use it as excuse to subtly and passive-aggressively ground maria on paid vacations and maternity leaves

obviously she sees right through the fake benevolent facade and overcompensates by not only refusing benefits, but taking on even bigger workloads

which then obviously gets her drained and exhausted and ofc carol notices and worries

she's been trying to give maria space through the whole ordeal but there's a line between giving you space and watching you get put through the wringer without doing anything

so she finally corners maria like "hey i know this is fucked up but maybe you could find another way to stick it to them without slowly killing yourself in the process can u pls just give me a call when it's too much to handle i am begging on my knees"

("my best friend, who supported me as a mother and a pilot when no one else did")

maria does slow down a bit but she still hesitates to call for help, until one particular hard night she cracks and carol gets there at flying speed to do chores and dinner and take care of monica while maria (a single mom in her early 20s who is also an overworked test pilot) finally gets some goddamn rest

(after changing monica's diaper tho bc apparently carol can't help with that)

from then on carol pretty much moves in with them

maria starts slowing down and taking care of herself and getting her due leaves and relying more on her parents and friends and she loves monica so much and things are so overwhelmingly good right now...............except for this one small carol shaped situation

they've been roommates before, you see, and maria is very aware she's been in love with this goobster for a minute

but she's also a black single mom in the US air force she really doesn't have to make things harder on herself so she's been trying rly damn hard to keep carol at arm's length for both their sakes

carol too is very aware that she's in love with maria and probably has been since forever (she's not super in touch with her feelings to pinpoint when the gears shifted, plus thinking back on it she can't rmbr a time when she wasn't in love with her yknow)

but "maria has a kid she's straight" (wrong) and also carol is very insecure (canon) so she's afraid of rejection and doesn't wanna ruin the friendship and she'd rather have maria in her life as a friend instead of not at all

even if it breaks her to wake up literally next to the love of her life every single day and not spill her entire heart out

especially bc maria's mask slips sometimes, mostly when she's drunk (even if just a bit tipsy) or when they share a particularly emotional moment (quite often tbf, considering how close to dying the very nature of their job gets them on a regular basis)

fast forward to 1988

carol and maria pretty much live together and monica loves auntie carol to pieces and their hearts are both so close to exploding they might actually die for real at any given moment

now to finally tie back to where this whole thing started: carol brings home tickets to a GNR concert, maria stares at her dead in the eye like "bitch this is 500 miles away" and carol's like "oh..........................road trip? :D"

Lazard's motivation or "Unattainable dreams are the best kind"

Brainstorming & theorizing on the Shinra scions is my favorite hobby.

Something I've noticed is that the Lazard's friend NPC doesn't even seem to know whether that "friend who used to say he was the of president Shinra" is still alive or not. Which makes me wonder if he changed identity. Lazard Deusericus may be not be his real name because he couldn't have his father finds out immediately who he was until the right moment.

We know Lazard was mostly out for personnal revenge as it is hinted by NPCs that his mother not only was rumored being Shinra sr's lover, it also seems that it was pretty much something out of a fairy tale story as one female NPCs suggest it seemed something out of a dream, making you wonder if there was more than sex but an actual romance going on between the two when you compare with the way he treated his other lovers like Evan's mother, as he attempted to keep those relationships more discreet & gave hush money to them.

It makes me wonder if Shinra sr may have broken off their relationship to marry Rufus's mother, who may have likely been a strong political match, which could have been devastating for Lazard's mother, enough that he needed to seek revenge for her.

( Another thing that needs to be noted is that Shinra sr has a consistent taste in women as it is explained in TKAA & Lazard is really likely to be his eldest illegitimate child, which makes me wonder if he could have been selecting his secretaries via their physical attributes, looking to have sex with people who may have actually looked like Lazard's mother.

I think it's also narratively interesting how Rufus among his brother, is the one who actually looks more like his mother while Lazard & Evan seems to share more traits with their father. Something about Shinra sr's genes being more apparent with the sons of women he may have actually desired at one point+ his narcisstic side & all of that)

This mail intrigue me.

One thing I've noticed is that Kunsel is often on point when assessing certain situation, characters, motivations and in his speculations in his other mails & it's likely the case here as well.

I have this theory that like this NPC says, that Lazard joined Shinra out of revenge. Shinra sr saw that he was competent & slowed him down by giving him an high position & power, which gave Lazard some hope that he might potentially become his successor as he actually had more executive power & more official achievements than his legitimate son Rufus, whom was also building a rep for being rebellious & callous while Lazard is the amiable one who plan succesful strategies in Wutaï & get to order around the great Sephiroth.

Feeling some parental recognition (not in warm affection but more in " you're doing a good job which show that you are not only a good tool but possibly what I always wanted for a son & oh I kinda miss your mother too" ) could have also felt good to him as well & he was maybe hoping he could support financially the children of slums ( while ironically being complicit in destroying families by helping out with the war in Wutaï)

Then it got confirmed that Rufus was still on the track to become VP & it enrages Lazard, who goes back on his revenge quest as Shinra scions are egocentric like that (hence the "ill blood" mail which was as much abt him as for Rufus, Genesis, Sephiroth & Angeal) & find out about the whole Hollander & project G when Genesis infection happens & start degrading. So he decide to use them as pawns in his own war until he get stabbed in the back by them ( which echoes Rufus getting betrayed by Avalanche in BC while he is on his own quest to get rid of his father)

What gives more credence to this theory is that CCR is filled with characters whose motivation are tied to feel a sense of recognition by getting on the same level, wanting the attention or surpass a figure.

Genesis wanted to surpass Sephiroth which caused his admiration & friendship for him to turn into a rivalry as he always hogged Shinra & Midgar's attention, Zack's admiration for Sephiroth, the hero get soured as he would steal his thunder in the media for the operations that they participated together. And Cloud wanted to be on the same level of Sephiroth because he was hoping it would make him look strong & give him some recognition, in particular Tifa's.

Need for recognition & abandonment issues is also something shared by two of his known brothers: In CoS, Rufus start to understand he wanted his father's recognition & feared the fact that he might attempt to " replace" him as a child if he didn't prove himself worthy of the Shinra throne. Evan has abandonment issues due to his mother's suddendly disappearing & it lead him to be reckless out of fear Kyrie & her friends may reject him for not looking like he would belong in their group, to the point he get insecure upon seeing Rufus.

Those are things that drive them so it wouldn't be surprising if it also ended up being a motivating factor to Lazard as he was working his way up in to Shinra, making his revenge quest a bit more difficult to execute as he is getting the approval of Shinra sr.

Lazard getting the attention of his father he may have craved deep down, after getting some achievement that would prove that he had it in him to be the VP then have his father turn-around & still pick Rufus, which causes him to go back in track in his revenge quest isn't far-fetched.

Untainnable dreams may have become a strong motivator to him at one point & I think his famous quote was also a warning to Zack, that the highest power in society choose its represents, whether you work hard for it or not.

It makes the last Banora scene even more charged, as yes Lazard, may have not gained the recognition of his father or the VP seat or succeed in his revenge but he learned to let go of his hate due to Angeal's influence but got to help & save people who will then contribute into saving the world, becoming one of the brief, silent heroes of this world, which isn't unlike his two half-brothers who also have the similar traits & roles to play.

tl; dr: Lazard may have started working Shinra out of revenge against his father abandonning his mother, got derailed as he discovered he liked getting some paternal recognition & the possibility that he could become VP then went back on track when Rufus got the VP chair, which gives more significance to the "untainable dreams are the best kind" quote.

Possible spoilers ahead. Some of these I'm very much convinced about, others are more general statements or spitballing/guesstimates.

In general:

We see what remains of the G3+ more of how they've impacted space

Funny mission control in the form of Clug's kids + Gene. He was literally gonna blow us up to keep the house.

Maybe seeing Krimothy or Gene's nephew

More stuff abt Gene + whatever he's got going on, too

Bounty Hunter will probably remain a very self insert-y character and therefore be more of a blank slate while the Gatlians get center stage but we might get more on them... maybe something abt their parents

Takes place pre-High on Knife

Follows (at least partially) the bounties that have been done pre DLC (the ones on the screen)

Lez might come back late game once the parents get back from their road trip. Maybe he'd be used for a challenge mode/bonus gauntlet instead of the final boss.

If we don't see what's going on with Lizzie in the comics we'll certainly know by 2.

Maybe Gurgula got a hold of her or Gene or the BH's parents as a way to play on Garmantuous trying to hurt who the BH "loves most" but it's not a celebrity cameo this time

Either Kenny-Harper dual wielding or Kenny gets an upgrade that's not quite Lezduit level but makes him a more advanced gun.

Alternatively maybe the perspectives switch between BH and Lizzie? BH keeps their guns and there's chapters or otherwise ways to switch perspective to continue to the story with Lizzie, Kenny, and her own group of Gatliens. This would eventually lead to the two reuniting and being able to choose who to play as and what combo of Gatliens you like to complete the game. This is pretty ambitious and most likely too clunky but something like this could be on the table.

And if you don't get to play as them I do like the idea of Lizzie turning up ok with Kenny in tow

May or may not be accompanied by a joke w/ Kenny saying he's got a frog in his throat or some other meta commentary. Then again given the circumstances to why the change would be made this might be in poor taste. We will see.

I mean really after what she did to Tweeg if you follow that path then I'm sure she's gonna end up getting in on the bloodshed. Really thinking she'll fight along side you or maybe against you at some point if she gets brainwashed or something (maybe unlikely but as a splatoon fan I'm Used To This Happening by now)

And by now Gene's legs r probably gonna grow back or be just about enough to walk with?

Knifey keeps the chainsaw obviously. maybe another modification or two to switch out?

The game will probably be a bit more grim, esp when the focus is on Gurgula. Not too gritty, but certainly more in line with the secret ending and HOK's more morbid/scary moments.

that being said I need to see him lose his mind as he gradually gets totally tired of everyone else's bullshit and comes to the conclusion that he's in a game chock full of nerdy stoner comedy.

There will probably be a joke about/reference to CWC it'd be funny if Gurgula was actually super wowed by all of that. Not disgusted like actually just. wow. the depths of the human mind.

I've said it before but I am certainly thinking they may kill off Gene or Lizzie. Knowing how calculated and cutthroat Gurgs is I'm pretty sure he'll be targeting them eventually and even if he doesn't with some of the themes of redemption we've been seeing here I'm thinking we're gonna see some people we like go.

In general i hope the game does not shy away from more emotional moments and allows shit 2 get real grim. After being thrown for a total loop in the secret ending and the pretty well done bits of horror around the reveal of Mux in HOK i do hope we get some real gut wrenching bits where we see the real depths of depravity with Gurgula :3c and just knowing that. shit is fucked.

guys this polygun roadtrip fic is driving me insane. i have their entire lives planned out in this au i’ve got a timeline in my head. they meet in college. everyone’s got trauma except milly and meryl but HOOO BOY MERYL’S GONNA GET THERE!!!! also Milly is homesick but feels like she can’t complain because everyone’s got it worse yk!!! milly and meryl are roommates (oh my god they were roommates) and are the first to start dating. Meryl was an intern for Roberto back home and he’s like a weird uncle to her and he visits often. he dies in her second year!! doomed by the narrative ass. so now she’s got issues <3 eventually all five of them start dating, still trying 2 figure out the order tbh but they do get there and they help each other heal and recover and they love each other so so much <3 i might actually. write a fic abt their college days but idk

and then!! they get an apartment together!! it’s small and cramped but it’s theirs and they love it. and then the road trip shenanigans occur. and then after that Meryl gets a job as a reporter and Milly starts working at an insurance agency and Vash works as a barista but he’s kind of terrible at it <3 and Wolfwood does shit like officiate weddings and Livio tries to work customer service for a while but he cries whenever a customer yells at him so eventually he gets really into art and stuff and does some other busywork on the side. and then they can get a house!!! they have a kid and she is the light of their life. they start fostering a shit ton of kids as well and their daughter is never without friends or siblings. they have so so much love to give.

wolfwood. dies in his late fifties/early sixties. lung cancer gets him. the others are devastated but they knew it was coming like a year before it happened so they hope they did everything he wanted before he died. their daughter, ambitious go-getter that she is, starts a full charity in his name. she takes care of the orphanage when miss melanie retires.

livio goes next, years and years in the future, maybe early eighties. he’s been through a lot but he’s okay, yk? he’s ok now. it’s an illness that gets him, and his old immune system can’t take it, but he knows he’s on his way out and he’s ok with it. (the others are far from okay, especially vash, but they try not to let it show until after he’s gone.)

milly’s next. she makes it to ninety. she goes in her sleep, just goes to bed one night and doesn’t wake up. it’s peaceful. meryl and vash take solace in that.

meryl makes it to ninety-eight. she goes the same way as milly does. vash is tired.

nai and vash both make it to a hundred. nai dies just before their one-hundred-and-first birthday. vash dies just a day later. he outlived everyone, like he does in every universe, but this time he got to spend it all with the people he loves. and he’s ok with that.

transfem fuyuki is SO real to me tbh. when she moved out of the hinata house keroro came with her bc theyre all time best friends and keroro deciding being with fuyuki was more important than staying w the secret base or anything like that. fuyuki lives in like a normal apartment with a convenience store job or smth like just the most average life but she also makes youtube videos where she talks abt the occult, goes over conspiracy theories & even debunks them if smth is really stupid, makes vlogs going to places that r supposed to be haunted or have been visited by aliens or whatever other supernatural thing u can think of. also talks casually in her videos abt having lived with an alien since she was 12 but obviously everyone watching just thinks that’s a running gag. she also miiiiigjt be roommates with mois? bc i think mois would want to go wherever keroro goes but i also dont know how fuyuki would feel about that. i dont know if mois can get a job to help with rent. i think that 10 years in the future mois would still be basically 13 years old.

also fuyuki is a lesbian and has a better chance of figuring out that she likes momoka now that shes got herself figured out more but she has NOT figured out that she likes momoka yet bc fuyuki is dense

transmasc natsumi, also, is so real to me. he becomes both a model and an athlete, bc tbh? i do believe in natsumi’s rights to just kind of be Good At Everything. when he moved out he was like Man! It’s so great to not have to deal with the stupid frog all the time! and then felt like everything was weird and too quiet without keroro around obviously but he is still relieved to not have to deal with shit like. oh all the curtains in the house have been turned into pudding. or whatever. that does still happen sometimes sometimes keroro comes to visit and it can go well or it can go horribly. Dating koyuki, obviously, who is the girlboy of all time and also probably still lives in the same house w dororo and hasnt changed significantly so i dont have anything else to say about him.

I haven’t been able to decide what giroro & kururu do after the hinata kids & keroro move out? Bc it feels kind of weird for them to still just kind of be there at the house when it’s just aki and a no-longer-used secret base. and omiyo i guess. But also what else are they gonna do. If kururu wanted to live w saburo they wouldve done that from the beginning so idk. Maybe giroro does just stay in his tent and kururu stays in her lab.

Some time after anime canon the keroro platoon ends up OFFICIALLY resigning from the keron army or giving up on their mission in a way they can’t go back on or Something to that effect where they’re very up front about not planning to invade instead of lying their way around it. I like to think that keroro becomes like a Space Actor and giroro gets to be a train conductor like he wants but that might be a little while away for them still. However this also means that inevitably a while after THAT keron sends in a NEW earth invasion team because theyve been trying (and failing) to take control of this planet for millions of years they’re not gonna fucking give up NOW. & the new platoon doesn’t necessarily HAVE to take any drastic moves against the keroro platoon but they should make sure the kplatoon doesn’t do anything to interfere…..

I wuz gonna design a whole platoon to be that ^ replacement platoon but i didnt get around to most of them </3 maybe someday. Anyway obviously they all have a power of friendship arc and come around to the side of NOT invading planets. except the leader.

I dont know what momoka & saburo would be doing as adults either </3 Momoka doesnt really have to do anything. shes rich. its not like she needs to take up a career or anything. Actually she probably becomes a martial artist or something? Goes into the business of kicking ass like her mom. Maybe irida and Adaman arent Leaders but more A Task Manager for the wardens. With a cooler name. Bc A Leader is a Leader and those dont tend to be able to walk off into the wilderness with a group of nonclan members at the drop of a hat. They are Important but Not really Important enough that they have to Stay and lead. They have a lot of influence and sway but less responsibilities? (also for quest wise Maybe Hisui is not Sealocked and is part of a continent? and they have to jorney to Stop something. ( I like the idea that the clans are a collective of villages and towns tho I never like how there are only 3 settlements in the whole of Hisui. Nor how quick games travel. It makes these worlds feel too small.)

YEAH i think that all makes a lot of sense!! both for hisui being larger/part of a larger continent that the story spans, and the leaders and wardens (whatever they're called) being a smaller part of it. maybe there's even something where like, part of the wardens' responsibilities have to do with the world's magical forces and how they're being balanced or anything that might disrupt them, so they all actually do have a motivation to get up and follow akari's quest, depending on what the deal with that whole thing is.

i also think that like, bc of that thing i mentioned a while back abt like, lian being a geomancer arezu being a hedgewitch etc (although that one i'm a little split on, after googling what hedgewitches generally do (and then regretting that immediately) i feel like calaba might be better suited to being one? and arezu is... something else. idk) - but anyway, bc of that, that maybe all the wardens are even more spread out in canon, and all have different villages/towns/areas that the belong to, and being a warden is sort of a background responsibility to some other day job. like yeah, technically arezu is the ley warden of this swampy region, but most of the time she's really just a local apothecary for this one village. and most of her warden job just entails going out into the wilds on occasion to peek and go yep. sure is magic out here still. and then going home again. until akari's squad + adaman shows up and suddenly she actually has like, an Important Job to do in following them, necessitating her leaving her day-to-day behind, which is actually not that big a deal bc her warden responsibilities in the region were almost zero and mostly just observing stuff. does that make sense?

but then you've got adaman and irida themselves which are hmmm. i guess they're the overseers of this whole warden network, but then also in terms of what they themselves do, i think they're like, heritors to some kind of important space/time magic position. like apostles or acolytes or something. which is why they oversee the wardens, but also means they're expected to become proficient at that type of magic themselves. i'm not sure if they still have some kind of cultural diametric opposition to each other, though. maybe they're actually meant to work together but just cannot fucking get along for personal reasons.

My mom is not that well educated, She can't speak English very well and it's her biggest insecurity specially because we live in a city and a society that gives it soooo much importance. She never pursues any interest. Had an arranged marriage and she always says she feels very lonely. Lmao while I'm writing this I realise I wanna tell u so much but il try to keep it short.They are both nit that physically well. Mom's got hepatitis B, dad's got diabetes and stuff.

She has many friends but like they are all typical gossip aunties, even my mom is one haha. My dad on the other hand is well, more educated, goes to the office and stuff but he's VERY introverted, doesn't talk much at all, you literally have to beg him and like coax stuff out of him which can get super tiring and annoying ngl. Today, they fought again and their topic is always the same

Mom- I AM ALONE ALL DAY AT HOME, I DONT HAVE ANYONE TO TALK TOA DN THEN U COM FROM OFFICE AND JUST GO AND WATCH TV AND YOU UUST TALK ABT WORK BLAH BLAH

I have tried to talk to my dad and well he says he ll work on it but he never does or maybe he just can't so I tried to tell my mom to try new things independently and not depend on my dad so much. Obviously neither of them listen to me but they make me losten to their shitt. I'm just so tired at this point. Don't know what to do. Today my mom said that if this goes on, either one us (mom or dad) will not remain. And I'm like wow dude such a nice thing to say after coming back from 5 hrs of college and 4 hours of travelling with no food.

But it's not your job to fix your parents' marriage but i totally understand why you feel the need to do so.

Something that might help (and definitely helped for me) is to help your mom find some hobbies that might make her feel less lonely. It should be something new and something she'll enjoy and something she can look forward to.

A lot of our moms don't have a life of their own (because they were told their life is about caring for someone else) so their loneliness is very valid - but, i repeat, not your responsibility.

Something you can also do is perhaps organize some kind of activity you all do as a family together at least once a week (yes this is a headache i know), it could be cooking a meal together or watching some stupid reality show (this is what we did at home) and or just whatever that comes to mind.

You're not selfish at all. I hope this doesn't interfere with your studies. If it does, PLEASE tell your parents about it. Sometimes parents stop fighting when they realize it's affecting your grades (desi math istg).

Like, who out of the truly secondary (as in, they don't appear that much/aren't that central to the plot) characters you like/enjoy writing the most/least and why?, what scenes came easily vs which ones were a pain to get just right? , is there anything/anyone that's been flying under readers' radars but will be "a surprise tool for later"? , when it comes to reader reaction, is there anything in particular you didn't expect or that you thought may happen but didn't?

And finally, when writing about the Tullys (Kermit, Elmo, Oscar, Grover...), have you ever been overcome by the mental image and ensuing hilarity of everyone else as human and them as Muppets? (I had the realization midscene and got the giggles BAD 🤔😲😳🤭😂)

i'm always getting such fantastic questions from you guys and don't worry, i can actually answer all of these ones haha

out of the truly secondary characters, it's hard to choose a fav when it comes to writing them. it's good that you narrowed down which ones you meant by secondary bc i love almost all of my ocs but it just so happens a lot of them also reoccur and play important parts LOL. if i had to choose someone tho...maybe matilda? she just gives such matronly but no-nonsense vibes and i have nothing but respect for that personality type. not to mention, i feel like with any building/home/estate, the kitchens are always one of the places where everybody knows something. it's where the food gets made which already gives very "this is the heart of the place" vibes but also lots of ppl pass through there, which means there is always tea (both literally and metaphorically). matilda's fun to write bc she's aptly positioned to receive a lot of information, while also being highly responsible and respected for her job (srsly never EVER mess with the cooking staff anywhere), and idk i just like that abt her lol. i realize i haven't written much of her yet but hopefully that'll change soon. also who knows, my answer for fav secondary character to write might very well change as we go along (i did say this was a difficult choice haha)😅🤷🏻‍♀️

as for least favorite? bors. it's bors. no real spoilers but yeah, you'll find out why

what scenes came easily? is it bad if i say none😭 i think almost every scene i've written has been jam-packed with detail/characterization which means very little relaxation while writing for me lol. oh actually, on second thought, i think any scene with vermax? just bc he never actually says anything and his interactions with jace are all pretty straightforward. LMAO that's not a v interesting answer but it's the best one i have for you rn😂😂

as for what scenes were the hardest/took the most pains to get just right, i'd have to say the really emotional ones just bc whew - jace's emotions are really quite heavy and i want to convey how he processes (or doesn't process) them as authentically as possible. his scene with daemon in the dragonpit took me forever and i was constantly switching back and forth btwn writing that scene and other ones bc i needed the brain break

weirdly enough, i'd say any scenes between jacemond themselves are both easier and more difficult? they're in a weird liminal space. on one hand, they flow quickly bc i love writing them, they ARE our romantic leads after all lol, the origin and main impetus for why i'm writing the story (besides fixing what hotd broke), but also their scenes together are always charged so i have to do a lot of thinking while i'm working on them

my only advice for now regarding something that's been flying under the readers' radars but will become a special little mousekatool (god how american of me) for later in the story is:

just like jace, you should keep your eyes open and pay attention to the shadows👥

if we're going off what i've read in the comments/seen in my asks, i will admit i was surprised no one mentioned jace's relationship to rhaenys in terms of how he learned to braid from her. then again, i'm just very soft abt the idea of baby jace getting his little fingies caught in her hair and then jace practicing on his siblings+parents after they moved to dragonstone. but honestly i'm just endlessly thankful for all the responses and continued interest regardless🥹💕💕

hi hi! I'm curious about your creative process on writing ocs' personalities/flaws? I have the most trouble with that when creating a character 😔

i wrote a lot but i'm not sure if it makes sense...hope this helps!

i think most of the time the concept of a character is the first thing i come up w before anything else, then their personality/flaws come right after, inspired by other preexisting characters either of my own or from media i like (or both)

though the concepts might change later, most of the time their personalities develop based on what i already had as the change occurs. the concept can be their job, role in the story, a fashion style, 1 specific/basic personality trait, an object they have, a trope, species, etc

basically it's like: oh i should make a character who is *this*, i think someone who is *this* should act like *that*, or maybe i should do the opposite, i'll pull parts from [media] - or - oh i want a character who's like so-n-so, or who's the opposite of so-n-so, i'll pull parts from them n go from there

if they're part of a group of other ocs, thinking abt how they'll interact w each other can help ("i think they wouldn't get along so maybe i should make x a little cold or y loud", that sort of thing)

examples:

sycamore exists because i wanted orval to have a dark past + reason to mistrust wayne, i go with the "died n came back wrong" concept n pull from wayne's flaws (monster urges, keeping problems to himself, being more focused on his loved one than himself), then when i played coe i liked utsugi n made sycamore sort of 'similar' (increasing his obsession with his loved one, making his motive revolve around their relationship). writing sycamore also made me make changes to some of wayne's flaws

with jacob i wanted a nervous sweaty businessman so everything else abt his personality came while i was designing him. stuff like anger issues n resentment were already a theme in mikko in hell by this point so that got added to him

with ty i literally just wanted an oc who was like aikawa dorohedoro, she ended up becoming different on her own when i started thinking abt how she'd act with alec n how her weapon functions. "she's a foreigner there so she would ask him questions, i should make her curious" "i want them to contrast so i'll make her loud n prideful since alec dislikes that" "i think they should still get along so i should make her charismatic" "her gun gives her headaches, maybe i should give her some kind of head injury?" -> she is given auditory processing disorder + memory problems, then i add a bit of insecurity to her because of these

-it's like super obvious that lily's "the lost queen" from 700 years ago so amaranth calls her dad like "holy shit guess who i found"

-ezkiel hears this and freaks the fuck out because they thought they were DONE with that job and the whole shtick of the old rulers, and hightails it the fuck over there to end it for real 

-meanwhile ama's like "ok well i can't take her home or do anything until i fix my ship" so they head Back to where ama's downed ship is

-ezekiel meets them on the way

-amaranth quickly finds a lot of [genuine] reason to be suspicious of ezekiel’s being there, and after calling her dad and getting some more info, her confronting ez quickly escalates to a fight where amaranth gets her ass fucking levelled and also inadvertently zapped with a toxinvein

-she's out cold, ez takes off with lily, spurlocke can't really do shit bc he's just some guy in all of this so he just takes to looking after ama for the moment

-flip back to ezekiel; tldr they end up exposition dumping about the razing and what they are and do as a chosen; most critically bringing up sth abt being a "regulator of cosmic/deity-level threats'' or something

-lily's like "oh ok cool you know that thing you zapped the loud girl with. maybe you should take a look at that, cuz that's kinda what we think that is."

-ezekiel decides an emerging sentient god virus is a more pressing issue than this one loose end from centuries ago and they head back to meet back up w/ the other two to investigate this [nobody Actually knows this is what toxinvein are at this point, but there's enough evidence to tip ez off that there's SOME kind of deity bullshit at play here]

-meanwhile Meanwhile after amaranth wakes up spurlocke gives her the 'hey so you're kinda fucked' rundown on what they know about toxinvein and what to expect now that she has one

-ez/lily get back a bit after this and one last lightning round exposition dump to get all the characters on the same page about who knows what

SIDE B

-crew discusses how to go about investigating more into this toxinvein thing

-lead 1: verah, who ama and ez both talked to, has a noticeable glitching problem Similar to toxinvein; lily and ez go see what that's about

-lead 2: ama got this Ominous Brain Message:tm: while she was asleep; not quite a dream but close enough to it that the fact of the ruler of this place being called "Nightmare King" is probably worth checking out

-there's some filler flavor type stuff here w/ ama and spur going to the city and meeting his band and her getting sensory overload and her having to go chill for a bit+catching up with magnolia but none of it is big plot important

-lily/ez get back from their questioning verah, which also pointed them to NK. they get ready to meet back up with the other two, but are intercepted by the Spy who attempts to drag ez back to NK himself for Other Reasons:tm:

-that doesnt work because ezekiel has the power of god and anime. anyway take a wild fucking guess where the whole crew heads now.

-tldr of the scene at NK's castle is he uses his powers to talk to the toxivein through ama's subconscious; the toxinvein drops the name "ibagreski", which is someone Io is all too familiar with

-squad goes on space trip with io to see ibagreski

-ibagreski's like ''oh lol that's Diode, guess he's finally leaking back into that domain since NK killed my Sentinel there. sucks for you guys but there's nothing that can be done, enjoy your slow apocalypse''

-obviously the protag crew doesnt want to do that but iba's like "unless you have [extremely specific and unlikely circumstances/resources/abilities] we literally can't do anything but wait it out"

-and ezekiel's like 'we do actually have that'

-ibagreski's like 'oh shit lol. yeah you guys can try to defeat Diode yourselves then i guess'

-this requires going back to pangea and summoning raathe, so they do that and then take it back to nk's domain and have it host the rest of diode's power

-big cool anime final battle n they kill the diode/raathe/amalgamated toxivein abomination

-send that whole mess to space hell so diode can't come back again again

Postgame funsies which I have no clue if I'll ever actually include:

-spurlocke, now having the toxinvein biz sorted out and the favor of a god to call upon [and a bit of help from ezekiel], finally goes back to his homeworld to incite his revolution and overthrow its corrupt state to save what’s left it

-lily actually fucks off to space with ezekiel, at least for the first little while. she'd love to go around seeing/studying more whack phenomenon like toxinvein, and she can also act as something of an...emotional guide to ezekiel, since they aren't nearly as open to experiencing new weird shit as she is.

It's currently 2:53 am and i just watched the first two episodes of season 1 os succession and tbh it at first looked ike i might not understand as half the things were quite flowing above my head

but then i think i quite got the grip on the ongoing situation and tbh if i try to sum it al up it's really infa t just a shitshow and i really don't want to see a show of bunch of lustful greedy fail trying to take over while lsi being coward at the same time and tryna play safe but terribly failing since none of them actually has anyone's back yk they all just a bunch of backstabbers ready to bite you anytime and take all the profit.... It's just how evryone in the screen is there for the money except some two or three characters i guess

All of logans kids remind me of those useless nepo kids of Hollywood tbh cuz i think Logan was right when he decided to still be the CEO since Kendall is really not mature enough and brave to be a CEO or step up and same goes with the other kids

They all are so emotionally sensitive and want a safe place but also has got the greed and lust from their father

They want to top each other but also don't want to hurt the else feeling or be straightforward with their motives to the others

Funny hw every side character slash spouse of them are gold diggers and just their for money like God damn babes

I think shiv is also quite emotional and vulnerable to stupid people but she has got that bossy instincts and roman do lack maturity to a whole other level

The guilt Luz is abt to feel. She kinda pulled hunter into belos' mind, consequently ruining his life and making him panic and run (we still don't know where, and it seems odd that nobody brought him up) and now she's pulled king to the island where they found out he's a titan - which has gotta be a tough pill to swallow. And now, eda might be arrested cause, again, she was in the emporers mind.

Very worried about Luz. None of its her fault really, but she still pulled the ppl into the situations without realizing it and she'll face that eventually - with belos or the collector using it to get in her head and bring her down.

This episode was eventful- both surprisingly and unsurprisingly. Very well written, good job crew ❤
