LOOK; first of all this HAS to be fan service just- it just has to be. Also there is a mistake with the Buddy's cat ears on that second scene.

We already know Buddy will get a sad backstory. There is absolutely no WAY he won't get one. A skinny goth boy who is mixed up with a cult, of course he has one. We just don't know the intensity of it.

Remember this scene? About Buddy not having any friends?

What if that statement broads out to, anyone? We know there is an 'Old Man' Buddy mentioned (which I assume is an Elder) that he needs to get the Heroine key back from before he finds out.

But that's it.

He never mentions any other people, hell not even other Elder's, even when he is talking to himself.

Most people already headcanon that Ex Libris has fallen apart after they lost the keys, but what if it was extreme to the point there is only Buddy and that Elder he mentioned? Or what if there are other people, but they are so dissociated from each other to the point they don't even talk and just happen to live in the same library/dungeon Ex Libris has?

Well, im getting off track. My point is;

The Names Of The Keys For Cinderella Boy (Webtoon) + ideas/theories on unknown ones

I’ve been obsessing over this for hours.

Confirmed Keys (Keys that have names and their roles):

Silver- Heroine Key, User: Chase Hollow, Color: Silver

Bronze- Helper Key, User(heavily implied): Deacon, Color: Bronze

Violet- Villainess Key, User: “Buddy”, Color: Purple

Unconfirmed Keys(Key with fandom given names and possible roles for them):

Gold- Hero Key, User: Unknown, Color: Gold

(I feel like the name is a given because it’s first place and usually main character. I think as a cute nickname Gold should be sometimes called Goldie. He’s got to be the oldest with the Villain key being the second oldest then Silver(headcanon but I wouldn’t be surprised is Silver is the second oldest because Silver is typically a second place medal. I keep think of Bronze, Silver, and Gold being the Main Protagonist Trio because of their names. The names are what get me))

Obsidian- Villain Key, User: Unknown, Color: Glassy Pitch Black (Basing the color on how the actual stone looks.)

(This name is kind of a joke but also not really. I saw a post by the creator about how all the servants were named Trevor no matter what they did for a living and I found that a little funny. I used that idea for a key that was copied into many keys so that random members of Ex Libris could walk around in the story without any real hassle and spy on anyone with a main key to make sure they were doing their job properly. It’s a blank key with no little person but it’s still named the “Trevor” key by low ranking members as an inside joke. I then saw a post here on tumblr about different possible roles for the keys, saw Everyman role, and was like as a joke, Trevor should be the name of that key too. Anyways, still going to keep my original idea for Trevor because I kind of got maybe two fics that involve the blank keys but I wanted to share my thoughts on possibly names/Key roles)

I will add more keys as we learn of them/come up with them and update any information. Comment whatever Key roles/names so that I can add them as well. I want to add personalities to them too but I’m bad at describing them so also comment that if you want to.

For Buddy, climbing trees wasn't a task.

 

Like walking and swimming. He learned it once and then it was second nature to him ever since. He liked being high up. He liked being hidden from everyone in the shadows of the leaves. He liked the pure comfort and safety it brought to him.

 

He liked being invisible almost as much as he loved the limelight.

 

No one could give him orders up here just like no one could pretend. Everyone's true nature is revealed the second they think they are alone. That's how he protected the Ex Libris. That's how he became the Elder's favorite.

 

So, why, why must his burden be so...transparent?

 

Buddy is used to two-faced lies, he is used to backstabbers and people who try to hide away narration for themselves. He is used to it. He deals with them. He knows what to do. He knows how to stalk them for weeks without getting tired. He knows how to blend in with the shadows of the trees. He knows they will eventually reveal themselves. He knows he will be there to catch them when they do.

 

But Chase isn't like that. Chase is transparent. Honest. Outspoken. Sincere. Frank. Open. Direct.

 

Everything Buddy isn't and more.

 

So, he does what he always does. Tucked between the vibrant green leaves and sturdy trunk of a mighty tree, he watches. Chase probably isn't aware he is in the book. The villainess hasn't debuted yet, after all, and Buddy tries not to temper with the story too much. They will meet when they meet.

He looks bored as the prince goes on and on about his love to the princess. Mostly survaying the vast garden, warm brown eyes occasionally following a butterfly or a bird as it frolicks around the flora.

And Buddy can't help but stare.

215th edit and this a personal one. I tend to avoid making edits of those I know from real life as a respect of privacy, but this needed to be made/vent. So I am about 6 months in of using testosterone and today I made time to let my mother share her concerns and questions, as I understand it does take time for change. Especially as I am only now physically transition, not just socially, transition, and I am my late 20's. Only, of my immediate family (sorry excluding my half-siblings) my mother only one who seems still stuck in a sense of worry of my choices. My father pleasantly surprising me in how well he is doing, like other day when aiding me with auto insurance (I had two car accidents in June) he referred me as his son, and I was so happy (I strongly believe he has NPD).

Now I get my oldest sister (represented by character Sarah*) still getting use to things, but understandably I did for a few years did go by they/them pronouns, but I am so proud of her, my next sibling, my brother, and younger sister are all doing amazing.

However, any advice besides be patient and offer a space to answer my mother's questions? She tells me she is worried that taking testosterone is not understood of the long term affects, which I understand to an extent, but she brings up religion as a reason to be weary. I am a Spiritual person, so to hear her compare people born with disabilities yet they learn to love and not change their bodies, like the Lord would want, bothers me. On one hand, sure, sure I am grateful for what health and my body is, but this seems accidentally Catholic guilt. Speaking of which, rest assured, my family is open minded or/and supportive of LGBTQ+ Community. I mean dang no issues me being bi/queer.

Back to topic, I am unsure what to say and offer more to my mother to understand. I mean my therapist let me give my parents a number to call of my health insurance to offer trans Q&A meetings for families. I mean I even explained I am the happiest I am in understanding myself as a trans man, but no change. Just more push back and worse "you can be whoever you want... you are non-binary to me, not a man". I mean even when I did think I was non-binary, she would still call me she/her and deadname me more, so I feel that a shortcut (or whatever) for her. Rest assured she been good with my name change and not judge in recent past changed all my documentation to that name and even list myself as a man, but actually addressing me as he/him, nope.

Again any advice would be happily encouraged. I also had to make a vent post edit, because realize through a conversion on a former relationship of most 2020 and snips 2021, my ex partner, they, they will were more emotionally harmful to me, and taking time to debate being friends still, being hurting me. As well been busy with work and university.
