Gotham C-list villains
For some reason I can't find on the internet a full list of Gotham C-list villains, now I think it's really important to do something like that. They are also villains but they are funnier most of the times. They deserves acknowledgment so I'm going to list them. It's not easy to decide which villains deserves a place in the list, so if you think I forgot someone or one of them is not belong here let me know.
Cluemaster (Arthur Brown)
The Baffler (Titus Czonka)
Lock-Up (Lyle Bolton)
Kite-Man (Chuck Brown)
Condiment King (Mitchell Mayo)
Ratcatcher (Otis Flannegan)
Firefly (Garfield Lynns)
Polka Dot Man (Abner Krill)
Eraser (Leonardo Fiasco)
Electrocutioner (Lester Buchinsky)
Magpie (Margaret Pye)

DP x DC prompt where Danny is a young adult living in Gotham.
He's 24 and has been Ghost King since turning 18. Danny has been estranged from his parents ever since he destroyed their portal. It was his first act as king.
Danny shares an apartment with Sam and Tucker. Sam works with nonprofits in the city, while Tucker gets involved in WE with his genius programming skills.
Danny makes ice sculptures and sells them around Gotham for fun. He sometimes helps out with crime when he thinks he can do it quietly, but otherwise Danny lets Batman and the police handle it. He has enough work to do in the Ghost Zone as it is.
In his free time Danny likes to explore the Ghost Zone. He’s long-since given up dreams of exploring space. Danny can always fly to space if he wants to, but being able to rip open a portal to the Infinite Realms offers even more exploration opportunities than his child self could have dreamed of.
It’s during one of these explorations into the Ghost Zone that Danny finds a teenager sitting on a floating island. Danny rushes over to investigate, noticing that the kid looks very much alive, but as he draws near the kid’s arm turns invisible and he begins to panic.
Danny quickly realizes he’s faced with another halfa. The kid is a wreck. He looks barely older than Danny was when he died-- hell, he even looks like him with his black hair (with a shock of white) and blue eyes. It’s like looking into a mirror for Danny, and he immediately decides to take the kid under his wing.
It’s slow going at first. The kid, Jason, doesn’t remember much of his life, let alone his death. He’s scared and confused, with far too many questions. It takes Danny showing him his human form for Jason to trust Danny enough to go with him.
Danny takes Jason back to the apartment and introduces him to Sam and Tucker. They don’t pester him for answers, and instead jump at the chance to answer any questions Jason has. They help him understand his situation and learn about his new powers.
Over the next year, Jason becomes their kid. The trio homeschool him, with some help from several of the ghosts in in the GZ. They offer to help Jason figure out who he was, but he asks them not to. All Jason can remember of his death is that it was very violent and he’s hesitant to fill those memories in.
If Jason ever remembers more than that, he doesn’t tell them.
Jason’s a handful, but he’s their handful. He spends a lot of his time in the Ghost Zone (annoying Danny’s ghost friends, his adopted aunts and uncles) while they’re at work. Whenever Dani’s in town, the two are a force to be reckoned with.
Danny spends a lot of time visiting WE to annoy Tucker. He also becomes somewhat well known around town for his little ice sculptures. More than once, Danny finds himself in the accidental company of Bruce Wayne.
Bruce is curious about the strange young man. He has a lot of scars, and Bruce can’t make heads or tails of the strange ice he sells. He starts talking to him-- Danny-- to try and figure out if he’s a meta and/or potentially dangerous.
What Bruce figures out instead is that the kid is surprisingly quick-witted and funny. He’s also apparently a dad, raising a kid with his partners. Bruce still suspects that Danny might secretly be a meta, but he develops a pleasant rapport with him. They commiserate together about raising kids over coffee. Two unlikely friends.
Danny never mention’s Jason’s name. He has about a hundred nicknames for the kid and often calls him Magpie (partly due to his black and white hair, and partly due to his habit of bringing home random shit from the Ghost Zone). He’s very wary of using the kid’s real name around Gotham, in any case. They try to keep a low profile where Jason is concerned.
Bruce also never mentions Jason. His loss is still too much of a gaping wound and he doesn’t want to unload that on his young friend, let alone wallow in those memories.
One day Danny is wandering Gotham with Jason in tow, running some errands. They stop by WE to drop something off for Tucker and he spots Bruce. Danny decides it’s about time he introduced his kid to the man.
Time seems to stop when Jason and Bruce lock eyes.

Hey Brother
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Inspired by Loli-kolinaki by larunde
Dick and Danny Greyson were close. The nine and seven-year-old seemed almost more like twins. That was until tragedy struck the Flying Greysons, both parents dying and the youngest disappearing without a trace, leaving Dick to his own devices until Bruce Wayne came to the rescue. He would come to be known as Robin, then later Nightwing, never stopping his search for his missing brother. Over time, as no new evidence came forward, Dick became convinced his brother was dead. He would be half right.
Danny Fenton didn't have many memories from before he found himself in the Amnity foster system, but what he did know he treasured, holding soft memories of kind smiles and high-flying acts. He did his best to stay connected to his roots, maintaining his acrobatic training and Romani. Then came his accident, and all that took a back seat. The accident had an odd effect, bringing back memories of falling through the broad green he now knew to be the Ghost Zone. As his relationship with other ghosts improved, he began spending time with Desiree, both bonding over their shared heritage, separated by centuries as they were. She came to care for the boy (he would not call her good, never good, but she was sweet, and that was enough)
A twenty-one-year-old Dick was having what could be called a mental breakdown. Jason, his brother was dead, and the last time they’d talked had been a screaming match two weeks before his death. His adopted dad was midway through his own shitstorm and was generally being a bitch intent on getting himself killed as well, there was a literal child following them everywhere and the damn insult of a clown was still standing. He was high when he said it, with no idea anyone was listening, let alone the consequences it would have.
“I just... I wish I had my brother.”
.
.
.
“So you have wished it, so it shall be.”
.
.
.
Desiree at least had the decency to give Danny a heads-up before sending him to a separate universe to help mend his long-lost brother’s fractured life. The rules were simple; Danny could not do anything to reveal his identity, and could not return to Amnity until they knew who he was. He could use his powers, but quickly realized that if he was going to get through to his brother’s family he’d be best off at least pretending to be human. There was no Phantom without Amnity, instead, Gotham got Magpie, a man more on vacation than a mission with a spirit box on his hip and a penchant for areal silk.
Things maintained like that for a while. The Bat colony was making progress; Tim had been successfully put through therapy and had more or less stopped incessantly stalking Danny. That was until one day a chill ran down his spine. Danny did not know Jason Todd, so when he found the kid wandering around with no memories and a soul barely hanging on to a broken body, he had no idea that this was more or less his brother. Still, he took care of him, helping nurse him back to health. Eventually, Jason decided to start working with Magpie under the name Cardinal, keeping his distance from the Colony until such time as he can look at them without wanting to punch someone (luckily being Cardinal means he can do that without questions)

*hands over a particularly shiny pebble I found on the side of the road and polished, in the style of a magpie gifting ther favorite human the One Pebble That is The Most Special, along with a sea urchin shell I found on the beach* I had a sudden idea!!!!
So, I've been reading some fics of Danny being married to the Core of the Realms (we need more of those, btw, they're really good).
And a student thought hit me:
As a halfa, Danny can easily go between dimensions, much more easily than the Ghosts. And the Core can't leave the Realms at all.
So they hitch a ride on their husband's shadow whenever he goes out into the world of the Living, so they can remain in the Realms but send a part of their consciousness with him. Naturally, this means a lot of movie dates, and walks along the woods and all kinds of dates between them (the position might've been kinda forced on them both at first "for the sake of Balance", but as they came to know each other better, the relationship developed, and it didn't just blossom. It grew exponentially, exploding like fireworks, until the most common gossip in the Castle was how much the King and the Core loved each other, and how they spent most of the time either curled up with each other, or giggling like teenagers in love).
One such date nights was a viewing of The Princess and The Frog movie.
Now, with his voice having grow deeper as adulthood caught up to him, and having shot up like beanstalks, plus having a spouse that looked mostly like shadows and smoke, of course Danny would go around quoting Dr Facilier's lines, and the Core acted out the part of the Shadow.
It was all so fun, neither could help it.
Too bad the resident Bats didn't think it so fun to watch some lanky fucker stroll the streets of Gotham at night, quoting lines from a very recognizable movie villain, while seemingly projecting his own shadow into existence, then opening a neon green portal and strolling through it while holding his shadow's arm and flirting with it.
Constantine almost had 10 different heart attacks that night when Batman called him and Zatanna to ask about the Shadow Man, who just so happened to be the goddamn King of the Infinite Realms. The shadow was new, there was nothing about such entities in their files. Although, when asked the next day, Captain Marvel seemed to sweat as the gods in my head seemed to all die a second time, this time of fright, as they realized the Core of the Realms had latched onto a new King and seemed to be in love with the guy, where before they'd despised Pariah Dark and refused his presence anywhere near them, thus throwing the Realms into a slow decline.
Well, at least it appeared THAT situation had gotten fixed at some point while they were on Earth with their son Billy.

Reverse Robin AU where Duke was the first to be adopted by Bruce and Dick was the last. Explanation + alt versions under readmore:
Flats:
Tumblr media
Lineart:
Tumblr media
Bruce Wayne aka Batman
Emotionally distanced father figure to all of his kids.
Due to his first few children being more or less child soldiers, he sometimes has a hard time recognizing them for themselves and not what they were molded into.
Handles grief by going on patrol more.
Duke Thomas aka Lark
Primary weapon: Modified escrima sticks
His parents were Jokerized when he was young in one of the Joker's senseless attacks. Due to this, he was placed into foster care.
He runs away a lot in order to get revenge on the Joker and kill him. Bruce steps in when he gets dangerously close to the Joker's hideout one day.
Bruce ends up fostering, not soon after adopting Duke, in an attempt to show him revenge is not the way.
Duke ends up training under Batman to more or less channel his frustrations and to learn. He never took on a name but he was dubbed Batman's shadow or Shadow.
He becomes the first leader of the Teen Titans when he is an older teenager.
After growing up and having a less than stellar relationship with Bruce, Duke leaves for Bludhaven to become his own hero. He takes on the mantle of Lark (named after specifically western meadowlark).
Him and Bruce primarily fight about Bruce's inability to be a father and relying on his adopted children to more or less raise each other, causing a lot of in fighting and eventual death.
He struggles with maintaining the hero life, effecting him in his relationships and teams as wears on him.
In addition, Duke rarely will interact with Bruce one on one since Damian died, each time a sibling or friend died he grows more distant.
His powders develop soon after and he struggles with them but learns to handle them quickly.
He becomes a beloved hero and is commonly seen helping the Justice League.
He is a very caring and gentle older brother however he also supports his siblings doing dangerous things since it "builds character" and "we're vigilantes, who cares about laws anyways."
Does not quite agree with Bruce's mission and feels he is too lenient on criminals
Damian Wayne aka Magpie
Primary weapon: Katana sword
Damian was raised in the League of Assassins since his birth. He was given to Bruce in order for him to further his training.
Bruce refused to let Damian go back to the League and takes him permanently. He comes a little under a year since Bruce has taken Duke into his care.
Damian ends up taking up the name Shadow as well while under Batman, training and working alongside Duke.
Struggles finding himself when he only sees himself in Batman's shadow.
After Cassandra is adopted next, he leaves Batman and returns to the League of Assassins in an attempt to understand his place among both family lineages. He tries to reform the League but fails, leading his mother to assume control.
He ends up dying due to Talia, the first of Bruce's children but he is resurrected by the Lazarus Pits. It is unclear who resurrected him however his current goal to is to find out who and why.
He returns to Gotham and takes on the name Magpie (specifically the Eurasian Magpie). He operates generally alone.
Cassandra Cain aka Shadow
Primary weapon: Fists
Cassandra is initially discovered by Minhkhoa Khan (Ghost Maker) after she escapes from David Cain in an attempt to find herself and own path.
Khoa offered to train her and she accepted. However gifted Cass was and how well she fought alongside Khoa, their morals were too drastically different. Cass refused to kill under Khoa despite understanding why he does it.
Khoa ends up realizing Cass is a lost cause for himself and rather than letting such talent go to waste, he takes her to Bruce since their morals align and he can take up such a child.
Cass is then under the care of Bruce however she is primarily raised by Duke and Damian as Bruce still struggles with balancing all aspects of his life.
She is the third adopted child of Bruce.
Cass never officially takes on any name however most people call her Shadow like previous Batman sidekicks.
She is close with Stephanie when she comes into the family both times.
She fights with Barbra a lot, having a complicated relationship with her.
Stephanie Brown aka Black Mask
Primary weapon: Guns
Stephanie is never adopted by Bruce.
She comes to a part of the bat family through Cass. Cass tries and stops her as she is currently going out in Gotham as Spoiler to stop her father Clue Master.
Cass helps her stop her father and is more or less taken in by Bruce.
She ends up training under him and takes on the mantle of Shadow as Damian is gone and Duke has recently become Lark.
Due to simple bad luck, she ends up causing a massive gang war in Crime Alley. All attempts to stop it go horrific, leading her to eventual death by Black Mask.
Steph is somehow brought back to life a few months later (unclear as to how, however it is suspected to have some connection with The Black)
She realizes that Batman has done nothing for change to how he raises children or sidekicks as Gotham is even worse than before her death. She ends up killing Black Mask as revenge, leaving his severed head to be found by Batman personally.
She ends up taking over Black Mask's name and is primarily protecting Crime Alley.
Steph ends up meeting Bruce's newest kid not soon after, Tim, the newest Shadow. However Tim is able to convince Black Mask to reform so Batman doesn't strike down on her. Tim discovers that Black Mask is in fact Stephanie and is able to convince her to not only change her ways but return to the family. She however does not leave the name behind.
Tim Drake
Primary weapon: Bo staff
His parents weren't around much due to travels however that didn't stop Tim from finding his own path. He primarily travels to inner Gotham in attempt to learn more about it's protectors. It's more so a passing interest that leads him to finding out their identities.
Tim notices that Batman has begun to act erratic in Gotham soon after he figures out his identity. He discovers that his second oldest son is missing (currently resurrected by not yet returned) and that his newest sidekick, the third Shadow has died.
Tim attempts to help Batman however in his search to get Batman better without him knowing, he is caught up in a situation with the rouge Captain Boomerang. He flees back to him home but Captain Boomerang follows and ends up killing Tim's parents to get to him.
Batman is too late to the scene to help Tim's parents but saves Tim himself.
He adopts Tim but doesn't reveal his identity. Bruce continues to act more erratic as Batman and Tim reveals he knows he's Batman and needs a Shadow or else Gotham will fall to chaos.
He becomes the next Shadow and soon after discovers Steph is alive as Black Mask. He helps her return to the family.
Damian also returns to Gotham finally, him and Tim however have a poor relationship and tend to have violent fights due to Bruce's differing treatment between them.
Tim ends up taking on the name of Red Hawk when Jason is adopted after him.
Tim primarily operates in Gotham however he is not overly close to any of family members other than Stephanie and Cass.
He ends up spending time with the League with Damian for some time after he becomes Red Hawk in order to find Bruce who is lost in the time stream. He has a strained relationship with the League.
Jason Todd aka Shrike
Primary weapon: Knives
Adopted by Bruce after he attempts to steal the Batmobile tires.
Jason ends up thriving under the care of Bruce and getting to live the childhood he was deprived of. However Bruce is struggling since Jason is the first of his kids he doesn't have help with raising. All of his other children have left the mansion and have become their own heros.
Jason does know that Bruce is Batman after being told by his siblings but has no desire to follow in his footsteps. Steph and Tim, backed by Damian, encourage him to become Shadow to better bond with Bruce but also to help stop Bruce's deteriorating mental state. He begrudgingly accepts.
Soon after he discovers his birth mom is alive. Jason tries to get his siblings to help him with his personal mission but they either ignore his requests or state that he is Shadow, he will be fine.
He leaves without any backup and ends up falling in a trap set by the Joker. He is tortured and then later murdered by an bomb set by the Joker. Bruce is too late in tracking him down and cannot save him.
Jason is later revived by Superboy Prime reality altering punch. He is soon found the League of Assassins and is placed into the Lazarus Pit. He is kept at Nanda Parbat and trained there.
Ra's al Ghul tries to use the possibility of Jason being alive to lure Damian and/or Tim back to the League to be the next heir once Jason is fairly stable.
Side note, Tim and Damian do in fact meet Jason in the League but he has not been put into the pits yet. They are currently there is search of Bruce who is lost in the time stream.
Jason escapes the League and takes on the name of Shrike when he returns to Gotham. Named specifically after the Masked Shrike. The name is chosen because the birds are unassuming but violent and stab/impale things. Jason is primarily proficient in knives.
He sets out to hunt down and either harm or kill each of his older siblings, his anger is directed mostly at them. They were the ones who forced him into the role of Shadow which killed him, they were the ones who didn't help him.
He is captured by Cass, Tim, and Damian and brought back to the cave in order to identify him as he knows their league names specifically which means they are compromised. They discover Shrike is their dead brother.
Jason escapes and they are currently playing a game of cat and mouse as Jason both hates and fears his siblings but refuses to get their help.
Currently is making a mess of Gotham while his siblings try to corral him.
Dick Grayson aka Robin
Primary weapon: Escrima sticks
Most recent of Bruce's adoption.
Was originally the missing son of two circus performers, he was found nearly two years later under the control of the Court of Owls.
He was being trained to be the next Talon was making rapid progression with his training. He was only discovered as the bat family was taking down the last of the Court when he tried to kill them.
Dick was tasked specifically with taking down rogue Talons however, he will take down any threat to himself as well meaning that Bat family in this case.
He wasn't fully turned and the bats were able to get him under control. They learn soon he was the missing circus child.
Bruce takes him Dick since he cannot function in a normal environment. He struggles with the family is more or less terrified of them.
He is very strict and obeys every thing he is told. Damian ends up primarily taking over raising him and getting him out of his conditioning from the Court of Owls since he has a similar up bringing from when he was in the League.
They make progress by allowing him to train among each other. He takes on the name Robin after his parents nickname for him, forgoing the Shadow mantle.
He becomes Damian's sidekick rather than Bruce and Dick ends up mostly living with Damian as a result.
Dick struggles with his emotions and reactions, tending to either be autopilot or an angry child. Damian struggles controlling him but over time he learns to help Dick express emotions in better ways.
Barbara Gordon aka Code Breaker
Barbara is no adopted by Bruce.
Her spinal injury is caused by the Court of Owls (unclear if it was Dick specifically) who harmed her as a message to Commissioner Gordon and Batman to leave the Court alone or else those they love will suffer.
She befriends Cassandra and Dick as a family friend first as Bruce offers to help with all medical costs for Barbara.
She quickly learns that Bruce is Batman and ends up forcing herself into the family to help protect them in any way she can. It's her way of returning the favor from Bruce.
She takes on the name Code Breaker and primarily uses her computer skills to get information.
General ages:
Bruce - 46 Duke - 28 Damian - 27 Cassandra - 25 Stephanie - 24 Tim - 21 Jason - 17 Dick - 14 Barbara - 15

batboys au
i don’t have an official title for this au yet so for now i’m calling it “tim and his immortal zombie brothers”
backstory
dick is taken by the court of owls after his parents die. he helps batman when bruce destroys the court, and afterwards he disappears. bruce looks but can’t find him.
dick sets base in an abandoned building and basically decides to watch over crime alley like batman does with the rest of gotham. he hunts for food (mostly bugs, rodents and birds) cuz he can’t get sick, but needs to eat a lot.
he spends most days in the library reading and learning stuff (new languages, science, history, etc). he meets jason while investigating Ma Gunn’s and they work together to take her down. jason decides to stay with dick instead of go with bruce but forces dick to get an actual apartment (he does).
jason convinces dick to train him, though he already has some experience and his own skills. dick adopts the name Robin and jason goes by Shrike. they become legit vigilantes of crime alley.
jason finds out dick is a talon a bit after he starts out as Shrike. they are in the middle of a fight and dick is fatally shot- jason loses it and almost beats the shooter to death (it’s just one guy left at this point). dick gets up and pulls jason off, hugs him, and promises to explain when they get home. afterwards, jason punches dick for not telling him until he literally had no other choice.
jason’s death
the joker escapes arkham and kidnaps jason (14) while he’s on solo patrol (they split the area to cover more ground). joker beats jason with a crowbar when dick (16) realizes he’s missing and races to find him. he arrives just in time to see the warehouse explode. dick brings jason’s body back to their apartment and then goes out and kills the joker (bruce is on a JL mission when all this happens, so he isn’t there to stop him).
jason comes back to life (superboy prime alternate dimension stuff idk), but is not fully healed and goes temporarily comatose.
dick knows about the LoA from the court and info he’s gathered over the years, and is able to contact talia. she agrees to let jason use the lazarus pit in exchange for a favor from dick, and they go meet her in nanda parbat. dick stays there with him during his recovery, so there are no drastic changes in his personality (aside from the trauma of fucking dying). they train together there for about 6 months before returning to gotham.
(his favor to talia is, later on, taking damian from her father and bringing him to bruce)
introducing tim
once they return to gotham, they appear to gain a stalker. they decide to leave the kid alone at first, but eventually get concerned because a kid really should not be out at night alone in crime alley.
dick (17) and jason (15) finally confront their stalker when they save him from getting mugged. the kid introduces himself as tim (12) and explains that he was curious about the young vigilantes in crime alley and decided to follow and photograph them. also he figured out Robin’s real name- dick grayson (who tim had theorized wasn’t dead despite the boy having been missing for years).
the boys are actually really impressed, but they try to dissuade tim from following them (which obviously fails). they then decide to teach him basic self defense and make sure he’s always within shouting distance/view of one of them while out at night.
tim, being the genius he is, figures out they aren’t fully human anymore. he doesn’t judge them for it, but he brings it up to them because he’s curious, so they explain talons and the lazarus pit.
once tim gets older they start to actually train him, and he becomes another vigilante (Magpie). also, because his parents leave him home alone for months at a time, he pretty much lives with dick and jason (but sometimes, when it’s really cold/hot or heavily raining/snowing, they all stay at drake manor instead of the apartment).
damian
a bit after dick turns 18, talia contacts him and tells him it’s time to uphold his part of their deal. leaving jason in charge of the Alley, he goes to nanda parbat, steals baby damian (he’s four), gets him to gotham and brings him to bruce.
basically, instead of adopting dick & jason, bruce just gets damian way earlier.
(p.s. dick knows bruce wayne is batman because of the Court, but jason and tim don’t know. when he explains the situation jason is like ‘how tf did bruce wayne meet talia and have a kid with her’ and dick is like ‘oh yeah, he’s batman’ and jason & tim explode)
bruce’s kids
bruce is about 30 when damian (quite literally) drops into his life. a year or two later, he finds cassandra and subsequently adopts her.
steph (spoiler, 15) has been working alongside him for about a year or so already, and babs (batgirl, 20) has been working with him for four-ish years. both forced him to let them work alongside him and he gave up trying to stop them
i have a lot more stuff but this is the basic storyline

idk what else to post, so here’s an old-ish Gotham AU where Kristen is the Riddler and Magpie sort of takes over for Oswald early in the series?? I didn’t really think it through, I just thought they were neat lol
So sorry for the poor quality, I had to screenshot these from my Instagram because I lost these files on my old computer ;o;
If it’s hard to read, basically Kristen gets stitched up and revived in Arkham, but she manages to escape before they can experiment on her further. Magpie is a common thief that’s working her way up, and she finds Kristen one night, taking her home and cleaning her wounds and stuff.
And yes you can ship them lol, I called it KringlePye on my Instagram

Okay so symbiotic relationship between wolves and ravens, right? Ravens help lead wolves to prey, alert them to scavengers like coyotes and in return the ravens get easy meals.
In a superhero scenario, wherein Danny is not the dominant hero in an area, he could fulfill the raven niche. If we put him in Gotham, for example, the Bat Clan becomes his wolf pack. He gets to kickback and chill, mostly stress free in a safe place and occasionally help out the local heroes. Based on your headcanon he either feeds off the emotions, it satisfies his Obsession, or it just gives him something constructive to do with his time. Depending on whether he keeps to himself as a benevolent enigma or joins the flock he could provide tips, protection, help with investigations or even more.
(I know 'Raven' is already taken in DC by Rachel Roth but who would argue if the Bats just so happened to acquired another bird? And ravens are messengers of death so who really has the better name claim? I mean we could also call him Crow or Magpie and it would be cool but then the Wolf/Raven symbolism wouldn't work :/ )

Gotham Honest, Anyway
Chapter 3 - Something's familiar about these strangers like me
The picture of the kid back in his office had felt like a page turning in the back of his mind. Hearing the Magpie and Catwoman talk about Jason Todd feels like… like someone’s thumbing through the pages too fast for him to read anything on them.
They start with the fire that killed him, and work backward from there — Jason’s induction to the Wayne family, his life before, his earliest childhood in Gotham’s shittier parts. All of it slips easily into Red Hood’s mind, water flooding a dried river bed. Which is stupid. He’s not from Gotham, he didn’t grow up in the Bowery with a father who worked petty crime to try and keep his family fed, with a mother who overdosed in the kitchen, with a little kid’s drive to learn how to fight in order to keep his mother’s dealers out of their shitty apartment.
He didn’t get caught boosting tires from Bruce Wayne’s car when he was twelve, which had somehow endeared him to the man enough that he’d been taken in to the no longer extant Wayne Manor.
“He was a bit of a grease monkey, huh?” Red Hood — Jason for now — asks. “Stealing tires, and that picture you have, he’s in a garage, right?”
“Yeah, I guess so,” the Magpie agrees. “Spent all his time in the garage or the library.”
Jason can fake the library thing at least. Mechanic’s work, not so much. He’d been trained to keep his weapons in perfect order, and to always do that himself, but actual mechanical corrections and engine tuning had been beneath him as Talia’s project.
And what a fucking hysterical coincidence that this Jason Todd kid had been Bruce Wayne’s ward. After he’d come all this way to Gotham because Talia had always sworn up and down she would never set foot in the city that stole her beloved from her, ever again.
At least Ra’s’ incursion into the city probably didn’t bring her along.

Kinktober 2023
Tumblr media
Summary: You are a brand new doctor at Arkham Asylum. But Doctor Jonathan Crane doesn't see it that way...
Rating: E
Statut: One Shot
Relationship(s): Jonathan Crane x gn!reader
Warning(s):  Kinktober 2023; hate sex; docteur/patient relationship; Dom/Sub; mild violence; old/young relationship; description of smut; description male body; dirty words; sexual tension.
Note: Day 3 of Kinktober, I really enjoyed writing this one. I was thinking about someone in particular, I hope they like it! Also, I wrote this very late at night, and English is not my language, so it's probably full of typos. I hope you will like it.
Tumblr media
"Mr. Crane, it's a pleasure to meet you." you say, with false sympathy.
"It's Doctor Crane, for you...”
It took you a while to react, looking into the dark whites of his eyes. You narrowed your eyes slightly and turned your head towards a psychology diploma hanging on the wall. "Excuse me, I think there was a slight misunderstanding here. I am the doctor, and you are my patient." you replied, trying to make him understand that he will have no influence over you.
"On the contrary, child, there is no misunderstanding here. There is, indeed, a doctor and a patient in this room, but you are not the doctor. Do not play games you are too young to play...” What a bastard... Your supervisor had warned you about this challenging case, but nothing could fully prepare you for what he had in store. In situations like this, you knew that the patient had to feel completely comfortable, to have a session that are worth it. And as the same way that Jervis Tetch only responds to Mad Hatter, Scarecrow only responds to Doctor Crane. So be it...
“I call you Doctor, if you do the same for me.” you negotiated. But the idea didn't seem to enchant him so much, as his slender figure moved in the shadows. He was only held prisoner by handcuffs. The Arkham staff had judged that he was not physically dangerous. No. Jonathan Crane's dangerousness came from his intelligence. He was part of this category of rogues who shone for their mental talent. In Jonathan Crane's case, the lack of empathy made him even more hateful.
Scarecrow was staring at your diploma, freshly hung in your new little office. “Doctor?” he called you. "Yes?" you replied naively.
"I would never call you that. You know child, I have been working at Arkham Asylum for twenty years and spent ten years teaching at Gotham Memorial University... I was already working when you were not even a seed in your dear mother’s vagina. Do you really think I'm going to call you «Doctor», a child who is practicing for the first time, and who also occupies my old office?"
“Very well Doctor Crane, I see how it will be, we will resume our session tomorrow. It's enough for today.”
“Need a new strategy or need to learn a little more about your patients? In any case, it's a sloppy job you just did. I would have rated you a little D, and it's not an F, because you knew how to show off this little ass of yours. It’s a great way to distract your patients. I give you credit for that.”
You slammed the door behind you. The guard looks askance at you. You cursed this man. You cursed your colleagues who laughed instead of telling you that your new office once belongs to Doctor Crane. You cursed this place, the only place you could find work at. Cursed be the world. But above all, be curse The Scarecrow!
The next day, you have already drunk at least 13 coffees during the day. Your last patient had been Margaret Pye aka Magpie, named like this for a good reason. She had tried to steal your «Waterman Fountain Pen» the all entire session. Honestly, you’re pretty sure she stole something. Suddenly a noise echoed in your office, your door opened, and there he was. Your face instantly wrinkled in annoyance.
"Good evening child. Are you ready for an enlightening session? I hope we do a better score this time..." Crane's voice, a blend of calm and menace, echoed in the room.
You looked at him as he sat down, a fake smile plastered on your face. Clearing your throat and maintaining a professional demeanor, your talked like nothing had happened yesterday. "Good evening, Dr. Crane. Let's begin. Tell me, how have you been feeling since our last session?"
Crane chuckled, leaning back in his chair. "Feelings? Such a quaint notion. I'm more interested in exploring the depths of your psyche. What fears lurk in the recesses of your mind, I wonder?"
You raised an eyebrow, resisting the urge to show any sign of discomfort. "We're here to discuss your fears, Dr. Crane, not mine."
"Oh, but that's where you're wrong child." Crane replied, his eyes narrowing. "To truly understand the mind, one must be willing to confront their own deepest fears. Don't you agree?"
As he approached again your diploma, undeterred, you pressed on. "Let's focus on you, Dr. Crane. Your obsession with fear and control. How has that affected your relationships with others?"
Crane's smirk widened, as if he had been waiting for this moment. "Ah, relationships. A fragile dance, wouldn't you say? People are so easily manipulated when their deepest fears are exposed. It's a delicate art, really."
You maintained your composure, even if having him so close to you was, indeed, something scary. "Your attempts at manipulation won't work on me, Dr. Crane. We're here to delve into your psyche, not play games."
Scarecrow leaned forward, his eyes locking onto yours. "Ah, but child, isn't therapy a game of sorts? A dance of words and emotions? And I, my dear, am an excellent dancer."
You felt a chill running down your spine. His hands were firmly attached to your office chair. But you refused to let it show, no, he will not taste your fear. "Our time is limited, Dr. Crane. Let's focus on your experiences at Arkham and why you find solace in instilling fear in others." The more you talked, the more your disgust for him grew. It was contempt mixed with hatred. You hated him from the depths of your gut. So much hatred was even scary.
"Are you afraid?" He just asked you the million-dollar question. Were you afraid of him? Obviously. But showing it would only make his ego grow, and you couldn't stand this idea. You shifted uncomfortably in your seat, feeling a subtle vulnerability you hadn't experienced before.
"We're here to discuss you, Dr. Crane. Your fears, your experiences," You pressed on, your eyes trying to avoid his hypnotic gaze. Crane chuckled softly, his eyes never leaving yours.
"Ah, but my fears are intertwined with the fears of others. The intricate web of the human mind fascinates me." As the confrontation progressed, Crane's psychological manipulation worked its way into your subconscious. The line between doctor and patient blurred, and you found yourself caught between captivation and disgust, by the enigmatic allure of the Scarecrow.
And what was supposed to happen, happened. In no time, your lips were beating against his. Making war on him violently. Your teeth were banging in this sloppy and rough kiss. Effortlessly, he grabbed you by your legs and threw you onto the desk, knocking over whatever objects Magpie hadn't brought with her.
As he leaned over you, you slapped him. This disconcerted him. He almost lost his round glasses. But after having put them back in place, despite the handcuffs which bothered him, he placed one of his hands around your neck. The lack of air made your face turn pale, unlike his, which was becoming more and more red with desire.
"Doctor? You're not a doctor, you're just a big whore. And my diagnosis tells me, the only cure for that, is my cock deep in your fucking hole."
“Go die in hell, demon!” you spat, undoing his striped pants, exposing his long, reddish circumcised member.
"I think I prefer «Master of Fear»." he said before penetrating you without any foreplay. It was certainly painful but having him between your legs was without a doubt, one of the best feelings of your life. As he slipped his cuffed hands behind your head, fucking you missionary, your legs hooked onto his hips.
“For an old doctor, you’re not bad…” you whispered in his ears.    “For an ordinary turkey, you look pretty good stuffed with my stuffing.”    He'll go to solitary confinement for that one.

YESSSSSS i would love to read what you've got sorted out for your Dick alters :D
*does an evil little cheerleader dance*
-redhoodinternaldialectical
Hi! I liked the Ric arc. Conceptually. Sort of. It has many problems but it stuck with me. Most of my DIDick notes are tucked away in my DMs so I'm gonna do my best to go over all that! (and according to my writing program this is over 1.6K words so. whoops?)
By the end of the Ric arc, Dick has what are essentially 3-4 different lives in his noggin. I think the crystal shit is honestly more fucked up if he /doesn't/ have DID. And I was also just enamored with Ric, and all of the "we want you to come home Dick!!" that he was dealing with. Waking up for the first time and being bombarded by people insisting that you're someone else? It works so well for a DID story. As I continued to think about/work on it, it grew far past just covering Ric/Talon/Joker. I ended up going through the major turning points in Dick’s life and sort of walking through it, and seeing who I would end up with. In the canon I'm most attached to Dick is sent to juvie for a while before ending up with Bruce. That's where I imagine their mind first starting to take shape. Robin: A baby. All those happy memories of /before/ tucked away where they can be protected. Any pronouns, too young to really be concerned with much. They're an all around bundle of joy that almost never gets to come out despite wanting to explore and make friends. It's just too dangerous, and they have to stay "pure". This is essentially how they stay, a time capsule that never ages. For simplicity's sake, I'll refer to them as "Baby Robin" instead of Robin for the rest of this. Dick/Magpie: Dick sees Magpie as his imaginary friend. Magpie sees Dick as her partner in crime. The two co-front and switch places a lot, and are generally pretty close. Dick is still exposed to the horrors of the outside world enough to not /think/ he's missing anything, but Magpie takes on what he can't.
They slowly but surely become distant as time passes. Dick completely forgets about her by the time he turns 13. For most of their life Dick is completely in the dark. It's easier like this, when there's a face recognized by the outside world that doesn't need to know the details. It's easier to lie when you don't know you're doing it. There's a period around 10-14 where everything gets /messy/ and memories get weird, particularly where the Joker is involved. Dolly: A little girl with big dreams. She thinks herself much more mature than she is, and doesn't understand what's so wrong about Humbert Humbert. "He really did love her, you know?". Joker showers her in the attention that she couldn't find anywhere else at the time. He's the only person who knows she exists even including the others inside the system. He's the first person outside the system to know that there /is/ a system in the first place. Magpie eventually gets some indication of Dolly's existence, but she doesn't act on it. Has no clue what can even be done for Dolly in this situation.
It does make moving in with the Teen Titans an easy decision. They need to be away from Bruce for a bit, need to just leave Gotham and get it together. The stress of it all still keeps picking up while they're with the Titans. It's no easy feat to manage a team while trying to balance their own mental state(s). Elle: Originally unnamed, but Baby Robin thought they should be named after Elle Woods because they're "smart and cool like her!" but the resemblance pretty much ends there. They're very no nonsense and short tempered. They don't control the body at all, instead managing things from an inside perspective. They know just about everything about everyone. Like Oracle, but for the system and all that encompasses. They can occasionally co-front and speak if need be, but prefer not to. Cannot move the body if they were to front alone.
X: Do I even need to explain. X, Apprentice, eventually Renegade, it has many names, X just stuck the best. Rose ends up calling it René though. Slade gets to call it whatever he wants. X is pretty morally neutral. Doesn't seek to do harm, but follows orders without guilt or hesitation. Doesn't talk, sometimes it just can't, sometimes it just doesn't want to. Slade has heard its voice the most out of anybody. Its mental image of itself has no face, only a warped echo of the mask that Robin once wore. Not actually as mean as it might seem, especially when Slade isn’t around for it to serve. Slade was surprised when he found out about the system, but rolls with it in a way that earns him at least a little favor with most of them.
Maggie (Magpie): She's quiet during the teen years. She can't bring herself to talk to the Titans, seeing them as Dick's friends and not hers. She's lonely. Honestly, she’s a pretty normal teenage girl.
Dolly: Went dormant when they left Gotham.
Dick still helps in Gotham for a while. Until he gets fired by Batman. It sets everything a bit sideways. Dick is sort of leading the charge for a while and is so annoying about it that a coup is briefly considered. This is around the time he falls in with Eddie and Liu, eventually losing his virginity to the latter. Maggie doesn’t handle that last part well. It does end in Dick establishing Nightwing, and most are content with that, but Maggie still occasionally ends up with the memories that Dick pushes out. It eats at her and eats at her, and she never really recovers. Maggie is stuck in a permanent state of being sixteen after this. Life goes on. Life goes wrong. Jason dies. Everything is messy again. Eventually Dolly comes back, but more as an adult this time. Doesn’t mean she’s well adjusted though. She’s selfish, reckless, and far too attached to the demon in their head. Did I mention the Joker introject? Good. Neither did any of them. It’s an open secret, a he-who-shall-not-be-named type of situation. Joker: “My pronouns are eat/my/ass.” He’s pretty much exactly how you think he’d be. He gained some influence after Dick tried to kill the original Joker, but he’s always been this ambiguous boogeyman. Doesn’t really go out of his way to fuck shit up, and mainly sticks to fucking with his Dolly.
Lola/Dolores (Dolly): Can't lie, she’s my favorite. She's got so many issues, but carries herself with a mix of playfulness and flirtation. She's a /woman/ now and isn't afraid to remind you, /Papa/. She thinks of Lulu Belle as being her “girlhood self”. It’s a lot more pleasant to cling to memories of when she and Bruce met and got along through the occasional “cross-dressing” mission than it is to think about what most of her younger years were like. She’s prone to manic episodes, and is frequently enabled by Joker. She drinks, she plays, and she gets yelled at by Elle about making sure she at least uses protection.
Dolores and Joker are effectively married (derogatory). It’s obviously really bad for Dolores. She doesn’t really distinguish between her introject husband and the original Joker, often prone to breakdowns when he sees the original with other women. She fucking hates Harley so damn much, and Punchline when that all happens. It doesn’t really come to anything, but it does mess her up emotionally. It goes on like that. The Blockbuster incident proves to be another low. They keep pulling themselves together into something functional just to be broken down again. Dolores forces her way to the front a lot. She already had a drinking problem, but it doesn’t really get better. At least that makes for a good excuse as to why Dick’s memories are so full of holes. Then Jason is back. He’s intimidating. He doesn’t know, but he can see through them more than most. They keep him at a distance when they can, because it’s terrifying feeling so exposed. And then there’s the headshot and the crystal. All previous alters are essentially locked out, and for a while it’s just Ric.
Ric: He’s angry and hurting. Why wouldn’t he be? Everyone looks at him and treats him like a man that he’s never met. They /hate/ him for not being that person. He’s reckless and guarded, but softens up around people who don’t know the stranger he’s supposed to be. He doesn’t know Slade, but he would've fallen for him easily. Also of note is that he ends up as one of those alcoholics turned health bros, in large part due to finding out that he’s a part of a system. He has a huge soft spot for animals and kids, and is pretty nice to those who deserve it. He’s not afraid to tell people when he thinks they /don’t/ deserve it though. The most date-able of them all tbh. Talon: It’s a feral animal. All its memories, thoughts, and feelings are incoherent and abstract. Joker: He’s given memories of being abused by the Graysons’ and the original Joker gets cemented in his mind as his dad. The aftermath of being groomed and controlled by the original Joker really fucks him up. He gets pretty forcibly humanized. He’s still not great, but he’s slightly better now that he’s learned about concepts like “pain” and “trauma” first hand. He’s morally improved and mad about it. He misses being evil and guiltless. Eventually the previous alters come back after the crystal is taken care of. It’s a fucking trip for Dick, because he’s finding out about all of them for the first time. From here they’d ideally stay away from the bats while they sort out/adjust to all that.
