Fleurita !

Ingredients:

½ oz St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur

1 ½ oz tequila

1 oz clarified cucumber juice

½ oz orange blossom syrup (combine 1 cup of cane sugar and 1 cup water and gently heat until dissolved. Remove from the heat and add 2 tsp of orange blossom water)

¼ oz citric acid solution (whisk 10 ml or 2 tsp of citric acid (lemon or citrus juice) with 100 ml of water)

Spray of lavender bitters

Directions:

Combine ingredients in a cocktail tin and shake, then strain over ice. Garnish with fennel pollen salt and a bouquet of edible flowers.

Gotham Magazine’s “Most Eligible Bachelor” 2014. My entire friend group got invited to a sunset dinner cruise around Manhattan. Did I win the Entertainment category? Yes. #TBT Shortly after my first book came out in 2014 I got an email telling me that Gotham Magazine had nominated me as one of NYC’s “Top 100 Eligible Bachelors.” If I recall correctly, the Arts category was Al Pacino, someone from “The Walking Dead” and me. @gothammag pitted us against the bankers from the recession, a bunch of handsome athletes in the sports vertical and the real-estate pricks who wouldn’t rent my friends apartments. I lost. But—really—it’s an honor just to be nominated. I got second in the Arts category. That year mr @bigbaldhead won. For all of us! He beat the Real Estate kids and all of the sports guys for all of us. They sent a boat to take the top 100 Bachelors on a cruise around Manhattan and said I could bring a few friends. I had just spent a month in the hospital with a broken leg. So: I brought some of my dearest friends to celebrate my new sea-legs. When we got off the boat and walked through the rain to get to the Ear Inn—my friend Martin welcomed us in and toweled us down from the rain. My friend @leilasalesbooks said, “After you lost ‘top bachelor’—or whatever—was the happiest I have ever seen you.” I lost a dumb award and got to have a great night with my dearest friends and they had fun too!
