Honestly I’m choosing to be an optimist and believe that Elden Henson at the least could still be in DD Born Again (haven’t heard anything about Deb so not sure there). As best I can tell, all the current rumors that he and Deb aren’t there trace back to a single article stating Elden and Deborah aren’t on the current call sheet. And having known folks who worked in TV, this doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t on the cast list. It just means that what DD is filming right now doesn’t require them - think action scenes, solo scenes. It could mean that, say, Jon’s on a time crunch and so they’re just going to shoot everything with him and Charlie first so he can leave and then they’ll hit everything else. It could mean, ‘yeah ok we buffed all our dudes up so we’re just gonna get the hardcore fights and the shirtless scenes done ASAP’. Kevin has been open about how much he loved Netflix DD, and the fact that he’s already pulled in Charlie, Vincent, and Jon, along with - seemingly - Krysten if the hints on twitter are right, makes me hopeful that this is just a, ‘They’re being secretive and are filming things in a certain order’.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed, anyway.

but also. i took like a year ish hiatus from this fandom before tlovm pulled me back in, and in that time i, among other things, finished my theatre degree

and god does this hit different when you're a week out from the professional opening of an original musical you wrote with like 7 other people, and are also not just a performer in but the music director of

having a meeting with my boss. ended up just traumadumping the story of My Pregnancy And How Much It Sucked

she asked. it wasn't out of the blue. I mentioned back a few weeks ago when she was complaining about her nausea like how it had been for me and she was like oh you've been pregnant? ok. and then today I was talking about how bad my back was in the 2nd trimester because she was saying her lower back was killing, and she was like hey. not trying to pry and you don't need to answer this but how old were you when this was happening? so I told her yeah I was 19 I was in the middle of uni it was a whole thing. and we chatted for a bit about the situation and after a bit she was like RUTH. CANNOT BELIEVE YOU JUST ASKED ME HOW I HAD SO MUCH ENERGY TO DO THINGS THEN YOU TELL ME ABOUT WHEN YOU WERE PREGNANT AND A TEEN.

and I'm like yeah didn't even tell you yet that I got all my assignments in at a 2:1 or higher, made several pieces of commercial art, acted as a full time carer for two suicidal friends and sat on the committee of 3 societies, all in a year when I couldn't get out of bed about 50% of the time and threw up convulsively for half an hour every morning. in retrospect. that's some badass (stupid) shit.

Like 99% of my characters she's a rogue, with the Scout archetype so she's all about charging into battle and then flanking enemies with Tobias, her direwolf companion (that's right, she took the feat that lets you get an animal companion and she went with LORGE FRIEND PLZ).

Tobias gets advantage on any check to find a kabob stand within smelling distance.

Tessarae likes alcohol and reverse pickpocketing Staniel, mostly with fruit. She also likes getting other party members drunk and into mischief.

She failed a perception check so hard that she created a new deity (knife god, he exists now in that campaign, she converted the party's healer who is also her drinking partner and failed the same perception check).

One of her favorite moves is Pocket Sand, which she throws at people when she wants to leave like Grunkle Stan throws smoke bombs.

The party was taking forever to make a decision and she's very much a "here for the gold and also you guys are my only friends" kinda girl so she ate some hallucinogenic berries that she definitely knew were hallucinogenic because she was bored.
