Earlier this evening, at around 7 PM CT U.S., Rebekah Jones (notably one of DeSantis’ biggest political enemies right now) underwent a raid on her home by state police.
Guns were pointed in the face of her 13-year old son, Jack. They arrested him under the charges of digital terrorism and “on state orders.”
They are refusing to let him go home and they are refusing to let Jones see him.

Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida took credit for sending planeloads of migrants to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, as part of an apparent bid to force authorities in another state to take responsibility for them.
State Sen. Julian Cyr of Massachusetts told The New York Times that around 50 migrants arrived in two planes about 3 p.m. local time, with no warning.
Fox News Digital, which first reported the story, published a video of migrants disembarking from planes on the island and getting into a van.

"Yes, Florida can confirm the two planes with illegal immigrants that arrived in Martha's Vineyard today were part of the state's relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations," Taryn Fenske, the communications director for DeSantis, told the outlet.

State Rep. Dylan Fernandes on Twitter said the community rallied to help the migrants, putting them up in a local church.
"Our island jumped into action putting together 50 beds, giving everyone a good meal, providing a play area for the children, making sure people have the healthcare and support they need. We are a community that comes together to support immigrants," he wrote on Twitter.
He also shared photos of the makeshift accommodation.
Cyr, speaking with the Martha's Vineyard Times, criticized the move as a cruel political stunt. On Twitter, he said the migrants had arrived on a charter flight from Texas and appeared to be mostly from Venezuela.
"This is deeply disgusting. This is a cruel ruse that manipulates families that are seeking a better life," he said, describing them as "fundamentally racist tactics."
In recent weeks, the Republican-led states of Texas and Arizona have sent thousands of migrants to Democratic-led areas, including New York, Chicago, and Washington, DC.
They say President Joe Biden's policies are behind a rise in unauthorized migration and that Democratic-led cities should bear the responsibility for them. Some of the areas migrants have been sent to voted to become "sanctuary cities," places where authorities deliberately do not cooperate with efforts to enforce migration laws.
DeSantis is burnishing his anti-migration credentials amid rumors he's positioning himself for a presidential bid in 2024.
Martha's Vineyard is an agricultural area and exclusive vacation destination where former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, as well as Hillary Clinton, frequently spend time. In the offseason, it has about 20,000 residents, and locals told The New York Times there were concerns about the town's long-term ability to host the migrants.
Christina Pushaw, a spokesperson for DeSantis, used the situation to troll liberals.
"Martha's Vineyard residents should be thrilled about this. They vote for sanctuary cities — they get a sanctuary city of their own," she tweeted. "And illegal aliens will increase the town's diversity, which is strength. Right?"

You'd be half-right. Remember Blue States pay for Red States. Florida used California's reallocated surplus taxes to fly Texas's migrants to Massachusetts...
The $12 million money comes from interest earnings from Florida's $8.8 billion portion of the American Rescue Plan's Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund. It provided $350 billion to state and local governments, which the U.S. Treasury said is "to support their response to and recovery from the COVID-19 public health emergency."

First of all I'm so sorry you're going through such gender anxiety and stress, only to be triggered by the research you're trying to do to protect yourself. But secondly, now you have *me* stressed. I'm in a fairly liberal state so I have to admit I might not know what's going on in other states right, but are trans rights actually under attack right now?? My Testosterone has been harder to acquire the last few months, but I was told it was a shortage issue. Now I have my doubts ...

Ok so you should be fine for now. I, however, am in Florida. And unfortunately a lot of people are vastly uneducated about how Gov Ron Desantis who wants to run for president has officially convinced the board of state healthcare that ALL medical transition for children AND ADULTS should be BANNED UNDER MEDICADE IN FLORIDA. AND SUCCEEDED IN ENFORCING THE BILL BACK IN JANUARY THIS YEAR.
The fact that Tumblr didn't even show up for this when we lost the battle back in January is absolutely fucking appalling. I'm actually shocked no one seems to care at all. Probably because it only effects the disabled and poor trans folk.
There were many articles written when it happened. But this is the only one I can find right now since Google is trying to shift the focus off the fact this happened and is trying to cover it up with articles about recent bans on trans youth transitioning ( pushing the ' they're after your kids ' narrative to invalidate us yet again ) EVEN THIS ARTICLE TRIES TO WORD IT LIKE ITS ONLY FOR TRANS YOUTH BUT IT EFFECTS ADULTS AS WELL. It's not until half way through the article that they admit the truth which I will place here ABOVE the link

as if single women can just go the man store and buy a man who will support their kids. if you think women should be economically coerced into staying in abusive and unhealthy relationships, just say so. also umm even if a single mom is destitute bc there's no government assistance, how would that cause the kids' father to be in the house and be involved? it wouldn't. you are making the mistake of assuming that men universally care about their kids. many don't. women shouldn't have to suffer bc they had the misfortunate to be impregnated by a loser.

Vivek Ramaswamy has said he would deport US-born children of illegal migrants if he wins next year’s presidential election, in a move that would undermine the country’s “birthright citizenship” rule.
The Republican primary candidate said the principle that US-born children should be given citizenship was “legally contested” and called for the privilege to be removed from undocumented immigrants.
In an interview with NBC News, Mr. Ramaswamy said he would deport an “entire family unit,” calling into question the 14th Amendment of the American Constitution, which gives citizenship to anyone born in the United States.
“There are legally contested questions under the 14th Amendment of whether the child of an illegal immigrant is indeed a child who enjoys birthright citizenship,” he said. “They are contested.”
His comments come after Donald Trump, the former president and Republican primary frontrunner, pledged to suspend the 14th Amendment for the children of illegal migrants, and Ron DeSantis, the second-placed candidate, said the current system of birthright citizenship was “inconsistent with the original understanding of 14th Amendment.”
The text of the amendment, ratified in 1868, says that “all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
Asked about his plan to deport entire migrant families, Mr. Ramaswamy acknowledged that it relied on a “theory” that would need to be tested by the Supreme Court.
“Under the legal theory that the child of an illegal immigrant is not someone who enjoys birthright citizenship, then it would be perfectly legally permissible to remove the entire family unit,” he said.
The amendment was tested in a Supreme Court case in 1898, when Wong Kim Ark, a child of two Chinese immigrants, was denied re-entry to the US after a trip to China.
The court ruled he was a US citizen and could not be prevented from returning.
According to FiveThirtyEight, a poll aggregator, Mr. Ramaswamy is in third place among Republicans, with the support of around 7.5% of GOP voters.
Mr. DeSantis remains in second place with 13.2%, while Mr. Trump has the support of 53%.
