My list of Queer books.
Now my labeling only has to do with the main protagonist, except for the books labeled "Queer" some of those the main protagonist is not Queer but the book has lots of Queer main and side characters. I only included the first books to make it easier but some of these are series.
The problem with making lists for books is that there's So. Goddamn. Many! New ones are being released every single day so all I can really do is add as I go. I also take recommendations so let me know of books I missed (specify what category they go in please 😊). I could also add specific Sexualities and Genders but right now I'm just doing basic categories because this is going to take time.

Might write some one shots of them!

Changes to the Popular Pairing List
Over nearly 9 years of Femslash Revolution, we have watched the popularity of many, many pairings rise and fall again. In order to better reflect this, we have decided to switch how we define our popular pairing list, which determines which pairings are too popular to be posted on Rarepair Thursdays.
Previously, posts were added to the list when they had appeared on the blog over 20 times across its whole duration. Under the new system, we will look at the number of appearances in the 10,000 most recent posts, which reflects approximately the last 18 months of content. Any pairing with more than 10 posts in that time span will be added to the list, while older pairings which no longer receive so many posts will be removed.
The full contents of the new Popular Pairing List appears below the cut.

[ UNBUTTON ] // terribly slow too.
[ UNBUTTON ] : due to heat or stress or other reasons, sender unbuttons the top of their shirt to reveal their neckline.
"What?" Harmony's question will go unanswered and she is unaware of the torment that Kadaj is about to inflict on her. Her voice is soft and breathy with her chest rising and falling with every ragged pant. She halts her struggles to break free from his hold when a lithe hand reaches for that silver zipper.
The air is thick with heat with frustrations rising from this match. Dark brows rise when Kadaj slowly, ever so slowly pull on that zipper. The sterling piece drags downward inch by inch along the metallic teeth. Black parts along the zipper's teeth and reveals the smooth, snow white skin beneath it. Kadaj's complexion glows beneath the soft light of the night.
The Turk stares at the exposed flesh. First, the graceful silhouette of his neck and that hand still dragging further down. H
Bit by bit...
Down, down, down.
Teeth sink into her bottom lip when she sees his collarbone. The surrounding air thickens with unbearable heat when he continues so, so slowly.
"AH!" Harmony catches herself and she scrambles against the damp earth again. Hands clap over her cheeks to hide the subtle tint of her skin. She can't believe it! She was staring! The woman foolishly stops just to stare at this little show and that alone leaves her incredibly flustered.
"Th-that's enough! You-Y-you stop that!"
Harmony hates to admit it, but she is reluctant for that to end so soon. She's upset with Kadaj for everything he did, but she can't help but regret interrupting when she caught herself watching.
Why he did this? Was Kadaj getting too hot from the struggle? Did his own frustration lead him to wanting more air? Or was it all to torment her? Harmony may never know.

9-1-1 Lone Star Season 3 Episode 16
Owen
Wait are they in California? That’s where he’s from? Makes sense.
Oh fuck Tyler. Should’ve stayed in the beach.
Wait what all strands? It’s just him isn’t it?
OH SHIT HE HAD A WHOLE ASS FAMILY AFTER HE LEFT I wonder if they know about him.
It seemed like his dad would blame him. But he didn’t. He reassured him. I’m confused.
Damn. He talking to his brother.
So he didn’t even tell TK he was leaving?
Why do I feel like there’s more to this story?
Lady if you don’t move and let him talk to the man. Like you said, he’s dying. So his feelings might be hurt, Owen is the one who has to live with it. How is that fair?
The brother knew.
Oh nah fuck this self blaming shit. That’s no excuse not to contact you. Give him hell!
Judd
Ah shit. Judd’s upset.
Okay Wyatt. He didn’t know about you.
LMAO I find it funny that Wyatt called Judd thinking he wouldn’t get in as much trouble only for Judd to be strict.
Grace said “Judd if you don’t call that boys mama right now!”
His mom is rides competitively. Why would he not know how to ride a horse?
LMAO Not all therapy is the same!
Damn what did Judd do?
Yeah I’m confused too Wyatt. What’s the problem?
Oh crap is that his bone? THATS SO GROSS
You got this Wyatt. I believe in you. Couldn’t be me, BUT YOU GOT THIS
Miscellaneous
Gotta be honest. I’m not really interested in this Owen storyline so I’m only really watching for Judd.
Nothing to do with the show but I just saw Sterling K. Brown in a Mastercard commercial. I love it.
Okay I know I said I was only really watching for Judd but damn I’ve gotten sucked into Owen’s story a bit.

American Fiction Review
Thelonious "Monk" Ellison's writing career has stalled because his work isn't deemed "Black enough." With his frustration he writes a satirical novel under a pseudonym, aiming to expose the publishing work's hypocrisies. The book's immediate success forces him to get deeper enmeshed in his assumed identity and challenges his closely-held worldview.
"American Fiction" breathes new life into the cinematic landscape, seamlessly blending wit and intelligence. The film astutely exposes the hypocrisy prevalent in purportedly diverse publications and filmmaking industries, shedding light on the fact that Black narratives transcend mere surface-level representation. Through a captivating storyline, the movie skillfully weaves together these themes, challenging Hollywood's professed love for diversity and presenting a compelling narrative that goes beyond the superficial acknowledgment of one's skin color.
We follow Monk, a literary professor whose manuscripts, though authentically Black, face constant rejection from publishers claiming his stories are not "black enough." Frustrated by this paradox, Monk pens a satirical novel that exaggerates African American stereotypes, intending to expose the flaws in the publishing industry's expectations. His joke backfires as the controversial book becomes a success, compelling Monk to reluctantly adopt his false identity to navigate familial challenges. "American Fiction" unfolds through two narrative threads. One satirizes the publishing industry's skewed expectations of Black art, while the other delves into a family drama, exploring the sacrifices and challenges one would make for their family. While each storyline individually shines, the film struggles to allocate sufficient screen time to fully develop both narratives, leaving a desire for more focus on the satire. Nonetheless, the unexpected depth of the family drama is noteworthy, showcasing that Black stories need not center solely on race.
The satirical perspective in "American Fiction" is both refreshing and clever as it delves into the intricacies of societal norms. Monk's narrative unfolds fueled by his frustration with the industry's expectations surrounding Black art and narratives. This frustration is presented with comedic brilliance that goes beyond mere laughter, providing insightful commentary on the absurdities of racial stereotypes. The humor extends beyond verbal wit to be brilliantly visualized through ironic scenarios and skillful direction. Whether it's a White Woman enthusiastically endorsing the most stereotypical Black story imaginable in front of Monk or another White Woman extolling the importance of Black voices while simultaneously dismissing the voices of two African Americans, the comedy's situational awareness reaches perfection.
Jeffery Wright delivers one of his finest performances to date in "American Fiction," a role that undoubtedly merits an Oscar nomination. He impeccably embodies a morally and intellectually pretentious character, an endearing yet complex personality that elicits both cheers and understanding for his frustrations. Wright's comedic timing is a subtle yet masterful touch, leaving the audience yearning for the opportunity to see him humorously roast everyone in the room during the awards ceremony—an addition that would have been the perfect icing on the film's cake. Sterling K. Brown shines, stealing nearly every scene he graces, challenging stereotypes associated with black manhood, especially those who identify as gay. His portrayal exudes pain, yet he manages to captivate the room with a brilliant smile. Erika Alexander serves as the perfect foil to Wright's character, their chemistry resonating effortlessly, although it's regrettable that her character isn't given more prominence.
While the film earns widespread praise, it encounters a stumble in its final act with an ambitious satirical endeavor that, regrettably, concludes in a cop-out, somewhat diminishing the overall impact of its commentary. The resolution falls short, leaving the audience yearning for the missed opportunity of witnessing Jeffery Wright humorously roast everyone in the room during the award ceremony. Despite this misstep, "American Fiction" prevails as a clever satire, marked by wit, intelligence, and insightful social commentary. It serves as a testament to the richness and legitimacy of Black art, while also shedding light on the constraints imposed by the institutions that govern its creators.

Playlist 100: Dr. K
Early look at this for the birthday girl~ @skyland2703
youtube
Eighty-seven pounds.
Eighty-seven pounds and still alive at over six feet tall and without the aid of sunlight for over two years in captivity made up of repetitive torture and only speaking with someone whose skills at being a human were wildly hindered by isolation and total bodily confinement.
And still he'd managed to coax three fellow prisoners out of their cells, half-carrying one and holding the other's metal-bound hand like a pre-school teacher leading a five year old into class for the first time while the other followed at an agonizing lope from the hardware in his back giving him trouble.
"Life finds a way," was what Dr. Sterling had said to K after their examination of the prisoner on the moon that the other sentries had undone the locks of the entire prison for before the rescue attempts by the other Rangers took place. The one that greeted the Ranger Slayer with a friendly, "Hi, Kim," once Terra Venture found itself cut off from the Grid and the sentries (former?) that had been protectively circling him and the other wounded finally let up and let Grace and the others with some form of medical understanding take them to the medical bay. The Tommy Oliver that seemed much older and wiser (probably, if the Red Ranger McKnight who kept calling him Dr. O was anything to go by) than the one that had gone off the rails in an effort to bend reality to his will was actually rather helpful in walking Dr. K through the process of ignoring the impressions and reactions of everyone that saw them on the way to the medical bay; reinforcing that some things could wait and some things couldn't. The spy-turned-prisoner-turned-rescue that the Ranger Slayer and a dozen other people were worried about, with his fractured shoulder from half-carrying Dr. Oliver with his emaciated form that shouldn't have even been able to walk, could not wait after passing out. The Jason Scott in the metal bindings that was having an onset of PTSD at the sight of sentries--even ones that weren't making to advance on him and mostly remained in a corner like feral animals--could not wait. He had to be subdued by half a dozen Rangers without their suits and sedated, but they were doing their best to get the gear off of him and then deciding whether or not it was worth the chance of setting him into a panic with hand restraints in a medical bed. The eldest version of Tommy Oliver seen by the crew so far, with facial hair, and grey, and metal works bound to his spine from an injury the others could only guess at, could not wait as he kept grinding his teeth at the little shocks and tweaks from the hardware that Drakkon had personally tampered with just to be a bastard. Terona was good enough to offer a shoulder and a smile, but not much else as Andrea had to open up the whole thing just to attempt to mitigate the damage. The worried doctor with slightly cracked glasses and a considerable number of bruises and contusions and possible head trauma-- "This really can wait until after we've got the results in on Jason and Skull." Dr. K huffed and, without counting down or giving the slightest bit of warning, gave the signal for the Astro Ranger T.J. to pop Dr. Oliver's shoulder back into place as Conner and Dr. K held the man still. Neither of them letting go when he cursed and went limp, teeth biting into his already bleeding bottom lip. "Just like the other Ranger series. Even with old age, so impatient," Dr. K grumbled, Conner giving her a dirty look and smoothing hands along his mentor's back to ease some of the tension out of his shoulders. Dr. O gave his Red a side hug at the sight of tears trying to make themselves known, despite his blinking them back. "He's not that old," Conner defended, leaning into that hug most appreciated as the doctor that couldn't be older than himself rolled her eyes and made her way back over to the small cluster of Sentries.  All of them had been a little miffed at being asked to remove their armor, but had consented when informed that it was the only way they would be allowed to stay in the medical wing with their captain.  Without the reds and yellows and blacks of stolen Grid Energy, without the weapons and without any idea of their fate, they looked much like the other Rangers out on deck, tensed up and worried and knowingly afraid. It was strange that a lot of them bore reflections of some of the Rangers they were cut off from, as well as faces that looked in to check on the wounded and got spooked by seeing their alters with different life experience. The Blue Astro Ranger especially kept sneaking a look over at the Red Sentry that shared his face, but could not be more different, had made it perfectly clear that he and the Yellow Sentry Aisha were in charge of their little group of outcasts, and that he had never heard of the Space or Turbo Rangers. Not Dr. K's problem for the moment, but it was interesting.
