Its up to you) while training with one of the dinosours or hurt during the events of the first movie? It can be ether full angst or angst/fluff I just need smthing to feed my Owen Grady addiction. We're never really Done

"Stop trailing me, Grady. I don't want to talk to you!" I shouted slamming my truck door with him following my trail. Owen and I had been dating a couple months before I got a call to become the T-Rex trainer at the new dinosaur theme park. We decided to break up because he thought I deserved to be happy and not worry about him being gone in the Navy. But he was an idiot to think that was a good idea and just my luck two weeks later he started working here the same day I did. "Can we please stop and talk for a second?" He asked throwing his arms out away from his sides but I just scoff pressing a button and the code opening my dinosaur paddock still not talking to him. Owen followed after me still baffled that they had found someone to train the T-Rex. It was almost a death mission in his eyes considering she was the biggest meat eater on the Earth.

Clapping my hands together in front of me I call out into the air while Owen stands closer to the door in fear. He rarely ever went inside a paddock with the raptors unless they were in the metal head brasses. The trees moved where I see her big head peaking through as she lowered it letting my hand press right in between her eyes. "Hey there, Girly. I told you I'd come to see you." I whispered seeing her eyes flickered up in the direction of Owen where I turned my head holding out my other hand for him. "Come here Grady. Don't be a stranger or she might stomp on you." He slowly walked up arms out in the stance he used on the raptors until I take his right hand in mine pressing it against where mine was. "I'm sorry about leaving you the way I did. I just thought you - in case I died Y/n. I didn't want you to-" I cut him off glaring up at him since he's taller than I am where Rexy blows some air from her nose making a warning sound. "I don't want to hear your excuses. They won't do you any good. It didn't help me at all. While we were apart all I thought about was if you were with someone else in the Navy, sleeping with them and saying I love you!"

"Is that honestly what you think of me. How you see me as a one night stand guy and nothing else!" He whipped his head around raising his voice where Rexy made a noise showing some of her back teeth to me. "Owen, I uh wouldn't-" But he cuts me off getting louder where her tail starts swinging back and forth slowly. "No just throw your insults at me, Y/n. I know I've made a bad reputation around the island but all the others were because you wouldn't talk to me. Spare me a glance or time of day and I can't take it!" I slowly try pulling him away from Rexy when her tail moved closer to him where she might knock him to the ground and possibly eat him if I'm not careful. "Owen, keep your voice down please..." He shoves me a little letting some tears slip that finally caused Rexy to swing her giant tail right at him. Without thinking I tackle him to the ground feeling the tip of her tail scrap my back where I screamed out grabbing it as I fall onto his chest. Rexy roared into the sky until I glanced over my shoulder struggling through tears needing her to be calm. "I'm okay, Rexy. Owen won't hurt me...i promise. You're Alpha's fine." Reaching up with my freehand I press my fingers underneath her chin and she never moves her gaze from mine giving me the okay.

Owen was flat on his back with a clear view of the claw mark going down your back. It didn't look too bad but it hurts his heart that he's the cause of it. Whipping my head around slowly my hair falls over my shoulders into his face but I shiver lightly feeling him tuck it behind my ear, green eyes trained on mine perfectly. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry I broke up with you. You're the only one for me and that won't change. I love you, Y/n." I grinned down at him resting my hands on either side of him so I'm not putting my whole weight on him. Rexy released a deep breath turning and leaving the scene disappearing off into the paddock. "I love you too. It's just - you promised forever and then walked away. I want you still Owen but only if you're all in for good." I whispered even though we were basically alone now so I sit up and help him up. Once we're standing he dropped on a knee making me gasp when he takes my hands in his. "I'm all in Y/n M/n L/n. This isn't a proposal but a promise to you. I love you, I'll always love and if I'm being honest we were never really done anyway." He smirks until I yanked him up crashing my lips onto his and he immediately responded back with a kiss wrapping his arms around me. "Be real, Grady. You wouldn't know what to do without your T-Rex girlfriend." He grinned shaking his head. "You were already awesome. Training the T-Rex just makes you more badass."

Drawing My Reads 2024

I'm still debating on whether or not I want to continue the challenge I started last year. I very much do want to, however, I've been dealing with extreme art block. I'm also planning on changing my self appointed rules a bit.

I have started a few sketches and then scrapped them because I hated them. SO here is a comprehensive list of my 2024 reads. Which will link to the drawings. At some point. When I no longer hate them, I guess.

Do you have any tips for someone just getting into Viking Pilot lore? I binged his dominion playlist but I keep seeing things about clips that weren't in his episodes and I'd love to see more!

hi anon! there are three tiers to my advice on this: medium difficulty, hard difficulty, and "don't do this to yourself unless you are me and enjoy suffering just for extra lore crumbs". (also, the easy way to do this is wait for videos to come out, as they cover almost everything that happens in the VODs with some very scattered exceptions here and there. it does mean you'll be behind on lore though, and i do understand that's a little rough. sadly there is no way to mitigate this other than just accepting you'll be missing some context for a little while or going VOD-watching. which trust me i know VODs are not always easy to watch i am really sorry in advance)

medium difficulty: go to this playlist and watch everything from "Everyone Everywhere all at once and the Birth of I.O.U." onwards; you'll miss a couple things that were in earlier VODs but for the large part you'll pick things up via context clues and stuff that's in the videos already.

hard difficulty: rewatch literally all the VODs (don't do this). though for a more reasonable bit of advice i'd say in addition to the previous advice onwards, you may want to also pick up the following VODs as a lorehound: "Diamond Mining and Shadow Attacks!" (Shadowmech attacks), "The interior of the Haunted Mansion" (the battle of Otherside), "Nuke's Return and Birthday Event!" (Shadowmech summoning ritual), "The Most Profitable Event on Dominion SMP" (Viking tells Legundo about the Book; this one's only in a Legundo stream so the link here goes right to that lore timestamp), "NEW MEMBERS!" (from Legundo's POV as well, but it's the introduction of Ryan and Red as well as the only current proof of Viking having a 10+ minute long fight with Shadow somewhere in the background towards the end there), and "The Basement w/ Grady, Taneesha, Legundo, and DaLilRed Cameos!" (IRL Viking answers questions about the Book, also the birth of the Snow Amogus).

do not do this: hey, you know how Legundo and Viking will often both be live on Wednesdays? watch both their streams at once, paying especially close attention to when one of them is away from the other one (switch viewing window back and forth if someone seems like they're monologuing or having a Plot Conversation), only muting one stream when they're in the same location. i do this and it's how i've picked up a lot of really interesting lore scraps from Legundo. i also cannot stress how much i do not recommend doing this, it is a nightmare to keep track of and is constantly just on the verge of complete auditory overload for me even when i keep one of them turned down lower.

i cannot stress enough how much i do not recommend that last one btw, like at that point just choose someone's VOD you're going to immediately rewatch instead of doing that to yourself, the thing is however that this is a me problem that i participate in and i need to explain that i specifically have picked up some lore like this because i am insane, and that this is not a thing you should do to yourself on the reg

(in general this is not very good advice and i apologize for that. unfortunately i am just one very tired many-guys-in-one-meat-mech and i have yet to be able to really collate a Formal "here's all the lore we know" document pretty much anywhere other than my head)

Y’know, as someone who absolutely adores the Portal games and basically grew up with them, I don't really want there to be a Portal 3.

Like, I know a lotta people would be hella excited to see a third one come out, but I think that the games ended wonderfully and I couldn't see any reason to throw Chell back into Aperture.

They could make the protag someone different, but even then, I just don't know what a third game could add onto the first two. Plus, I don't think it'd feel the same without Chell, and the only other character that I think could reasonably be the protagonist would be Doug Rattman.

I know people joke about Apeture Desk Job as Portal 3, and I know that it was a tech demo, but even then I'm still kinda iffy about how I feel about it. Like, don't get me wrong, I thought it was a silly little experience and I think Grady is great, but also I kinda liked Cave Johnson not being in an AI? Because throughout what we hear from him in the second game, we're led to believe that he passed before they could put him on a disc, and had to resort to using Caroline instead. I know that they also planned for Cave to appear in a cube, but that was also scrapped and I dunno how cannon content that didn't actually happen can be considered.

I'd defo be excited if a Portal 3 came out, don't get me wrong, but I'd definitely go into it with some higher expectations, mostly ones that don't mess up the story thus far.

TL;DR - I don't particularly want a Portal 3 to happen, but if it does then I'm definitely gonna have high expectations for it.
