Who do you ship Lucy with and what headcanons do you have for the pairings?

Took me a minute to figure out what to write but I think I got it.

Who I ship Lucy Heartfilia with + Headcanons

Zeref x Lucy 7/10

I am into dark romance stories so I guess that's why I like this pairing. If anything I like it because I do not see a Happy Ever After with these two together and I like that angst.

Headcanons:

Zeref was intrigued with Lucy when she was the only survivor during the Tartaros arc

When Fairy Tail disbanded and Natsu left Lucy was at her lowest and Zeref took advantage of that

Zeref took her prisoner to satisfy his curiosity about her

Turns out Zeref's curse did not affect Lucy at all and so He wanted to keep her, for he so longed for affection

Like I said this pairing is more of a super dark romance with possessive and codependency behavior

Flare x Lucy 5/10

Flare is just so cute around Lucy how can I not ship them.

Headcanons:

Flare is a very awkward and not very good with social cues so she clings to Lucy whenever she comes by Fairy Tail

Sleepovers at Lucy's house. No one is invited they want to be alone together

Flare is really good at drawing so she draw scenes from Lucy's novel

Lucy loves cooking but doesn't get the chance to show off her cooking skills often so whenever her and Flare have their special sleepovers Lucy goes all out. I'm talking Food Wars all out

Gray x Lucy 6/10

You have Juvia to blame for me liking this ship so much.

Headcanons:

Gray is and insomniac. So when he really can't sleep he'll seek Lucy out

Could be the middle of the night but Lucy always welcomes him with open arms

Lucy will sing him a lullabies to sooth him to sleep

Gray is the second person to read her novel after it was finished

Sting x Lucy x Rogue 4/10

I'm going to skip the headcanons with these three. Not much about this pairing just think all three are hot together.

Erik (Cobra) x Lucy 10/10

Headcanons:

Beauty and the Beats vibes

Since Lucy loves to cook she finds it fun to make poisonous meals for Cobra (there's more to life than bleach writers)

Horror movie buddies

Cobra loves listening to Lucy's soul. He's never seen a soul so pure yet so dark.

Cobra ended up injured very badly and had no way to contact his Guild. On the verge of passing out he heard Lucy's soul

Lucy was on her way back home from a solo job when she sees Cobra

Lucy was hesitant to help Cobra but after some back and forth in her head she dragged Cobra to a near by cave

Did her best to nurse him back to health even when they shouted poisonous words and long over due feelings at each other

They ended up growing closer because Lucy seemed to be the only person to read his soul just as good as he can read others

Natsu x Lucy 9/10

I can't think of any headcanons right now but the anime speaks for itself. They just have that chemistry.

Toxic main four shipping Fairy Tail fans are literally my reasoning for not looking into ships that are definitely more interesting than the main four ships, like I already ship GraLu, but I've never seen LoLu in a shipping light because the fans keep enforcing that Loke is a literal connection of stars and has been around for long, they keep trying to make it weird but like Lucy hasn't grown up with Loke by her side, he hasn't been by her side her whole life watching her develop so why not ship them? RoLu? Emo x Prep; Future Rogue only adds onto angst concepts, StingLu; They're the extroverted couple who I'd ship as a experiment, GaLu; Absolutely not I don't care about Gajeels quick redemption arc, JeLu; I understand the concept, I literally read a JeLu fanfic that wasn't even about Jellal but MYSTOGAN, MystLu; I'm literally their number one fan so I don't need to expand, actually I will, ZerLu; Edgey Evil Bitch x Nerd, Sweet heart girl I can see Crave by Tove Lo in a fanimatic, AcnoLu; I honestly don't care for it, I don't really see Lucy with Acnologia but I wanna Read to understand more.

So, I went down the rabbit hole of watching anime again. Fairy Tail. Am I regretting my decision? A little. I know i should be productive and work and stuff but like— AH. Not to mention as usual my main ship wont end up together.🥲 I just want one anime where my ships end up together yknow?? Even TV shows are difficult. I can only remember like one show where my ship ends up together (OUAT BLESS THEM😭). But I am falling hard for Graylu / GraLu. I can’t even see Natsu and Lucy as a couple and I am like 60 episodes in. Gray and Lucy have such a respectful and adorable relationship. And he really does care for her a lot. Gray lovessss her, i actually even prefer Loke and Lucy over NaLu. I just.. Dont see it. 🥲

one of my biggest graylu headcanons is that gray was the only person allowed to read lucy's book before publication. potentially levy too, but mainly gray. he would give pointers and corrections and lucy would often just ask his opinion on random ideas for the plot.

natsu's stolen her draft and read it multiple times but never even realized that it was about them. he'd comment on it like "wow this guild is really powerful, I'd love to fight them" and gray and lucy would just facepalm. erza is canonically illiterate so we know how she reacted to the book 💀💀

gray is the type of guy who secretly writes these really intricate poems about the meaning of life and he'd totally hide it from everyone until one day lucy gets curious how gray could possibly have so much knowledge about writing.

eventually gray would open up and share his poetry with lucy, though he would publish his poetry under an alias, so no one else knows 😭😭

New Story Drop! It’s a GrayLu fic! Enjoy!

Summary- Even though Lucy knew Gray was born in Isvan, she’s only ever known him as a citizen of Magnolia. Therefore, the possibility never really occurred to her that Fioren wasn’t his first language. What other surprises are in store as she’s given this rare peek into his shrouded past? A GrayLu one shot.

Excerpt:

“How do you say hello?"

"Saale."

"Salay?"

"Saale. Saa-, saa-. It's tonal. Hold it for two beats, and the le- is very short."

"Saale. Okay," she murmured, making a note of it, before pausing. She wondered, "If you didn't shake hands, how did you greet each other?"

"You're easily distracted."

"Hey! Learning a new language is all about immersion. So immerse me in your ways, oh teacher."

"Hmph! Depends on who I was greeting. There were simple head nods between friends; a short bow for older people, like parents and teachers. For elders, like my dåsje, you'd hold your hands like this," he said as he demonstrated, putting his hands out as if to receive something, "and wait for them to tap their fingertips to yours. Then you'd touch your forehead as you bowed deeply."

Lucy watched as he went through the motions, looking almost reverent as he bowed, lightly touching his fingertips to his forehead.

"It's supposed to symbolize a young man receiving wisdom from his elders."

"That's beautiful. Your village had such lovely customs."

"Yeah."

"So, um, you greeted friends one way, and parents another. How did lovers greet each other?"

Gray raised his eyebrow at that, and he didn't miss the hint of a blush on her cheeks, though she tried her hardest to look candid.

With an impressed grin, he faced her and answered, "A man would bring his hands together like this," he said as he brought his hands together as if in prayer," and bring them to his lips. He'd kiss his index fingers," again, he did just that, then brought them down, opening them as they came level with his heart, as if holding something, "Then the woman would do the same, bringing her hands together, but instead of kissing them, she'd fold them over her heart, receiving the love the man had bestowed."

Something in Gray's demeanor caught her attention. She wasn't sure if it was his purposeful movements as he'd positioned his hands, or the hopeful, inviting way he gazed at her now, but she felt a boldness come upon her as she replied.

"You mean like this?"

Her gaze met his as she brought her hands together, and neither noticed how her breath hitched as she brought them over her heart.

In his eyes, every move she made was flawless.

"Ise."

Yes.

I'm Not Leaving You (Gray x Lucy)

Lucy sat on her bed, staring down at the note in her hands. Her cheeks were wet with tears that had stopped falling long ago, probably because her tear ducts were dry from the hours she's spent crying. 

Her eyes roamed over the words that were etched onto the paper. It was Natsu's familiar writing. Informing her that he was leaving to train. This, coupled with the recent disbanding of Fairy Tail, left her feeling empty and alone. 

Her best friend left her, leaving only a note behind. He didn't even bother to tell her in person that he wanted to go train. Why? Did he think that she would try to stop him? She knew how getting stronger was important to him. She would have encouraged him to train, if that was what he really wanted to do. Did he think that she would try to go with him? She supposed that that was a worry he would have, but she still didn't know why he wouldn't tell her himself. If that was his worry and reason to leave with only a note, then they could have talked about it. 

She had been down upon finding the note and her best friend's disappearance, but when Fairy Tail disbanded, no explanation given to the shocked and upset mages, her mood worsened. She shut herself in her apartment, deciding to not leave until she managed to make herself feel better. However, no matter what she told herself, she couldn't bring herself to do much. She hasn't even showered in a few days. 

The only person she would talk to was Loke, who would regularly summon himself to try and convince her to leave her apartment and get some fresh air. She had no desire to. What was the point? All of her friends were gone, having gone their different ways. 

Well...almost all of her friends. There was one who refused to leave her behind in Magnolia. 

Since the disbandment of Fairy Tail a few weeks ago, Gray would come by every day and knock on her door, trying to convince her to open the door and talk to him. She never answered, unable to make her open the door and face him, no matter how much her mind urged her to. 

Gray had made it a habit of dropping off groceries and rent money at Lucy's front door before he would sit against the door and talk to her, telling her about his day and what things he was recently doing, occasionally asking her to open in the door so that they could talk face-to-face. 

Lucy didn't like this, accepting the unasked-for help that he was giving her. She hated not being able to take care of herself and having to rely on others, but she couldn't bring herself to do anything. 

She was brought out of her thoughts when a knock sounded at the door. Gray's voice followed not long after, "Lucy, I'm back." There was a short pause. "Could you please open the door?" 

Lucy felt a fluttering feeling in her gut at the sound of his voice. That had been happening quite a bit lately, before Fairy Tail's disbandment. Her mind urged her to open the door for him and let him in. She wanted to see him and feel his comfortingly cold hugs. She wanted to tell him why she was like this. She didn't want to be alone, having long ago become sick of it. 

She looked up at the door, listening as Gray started telling her about some insufferable woman he had encountered on his way here. Her door was unlocked. If she could just tell him to come in, then that should be enough for him. She opened her mouth, but nothing came out. How long had it been since she lasted spoke? Must have been a while if she wasn't able to speak on her first attempt. 

She swallowed before waiting for Gray to stop talking momentarily. Once he did, she opened her mouth again and called to him, her voice slightly hoarse from disuse, "come in, Gray." 

There was a pause before the door slowly opened. Lucy watched as Gray stepped into the apartment. He smiled at her and closed the door behind him and walked over to her with slowly steps, his hands  in his pockets and shirt nowhere to be seen. As he walked, Gray spoke with a soft tone, "hey, Lucy. How have you been?" 

Lucy couldn't answer. She just looked back down at the note. She listened as Gray kneeled onto the floor in front of her her and gaze up at her with gentle eyes and kind smile. "I'm here if you want to talk or anything." 

Lucy looked at him. Seeing the kind look on his face and sincerity in his soft voice, Lucy felt her eyes burn with fresh tears. A choked sob escaped her and she dropped to the floor, wrapping her arms around Gray. She cried into his chest as he wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly against him. He gently threaded his fingers through her hair and cooed comforting words to her, reassuring her that he was there and wasn't going to leave. 

Once Lucy's tears stopped falling  and she regained control of her breathing. She sniffled and rested her cheek against Gray's chest, listening to his heartbeat. The sound brought her comfort, assuring her that he was there, really there. She tightened her hold around him and whispered, "please, don't leave me too."

Gray continued to hold her and run his fingers through her hair. He eventually muttered to her, "I'm not leaving you. I'm never going to leave you, Lucy." There was a few heartbeats of silence before he added, "I love you, Lucy." He then pressed a kiss to the top of her head. 

Lucy nuzzled against his chest, answering with a whisper, "I love you too, Gray."

being a Graylu shipper am i the only one that doesn't like the idea of Lucy or anyone else being a Gruvia Shipper?

About Fairy Tail members being either complicit or enablers of juvia abusing Gray

You're definitely not alone, my friend! I personally am a Gralu shipper, but I don't necessarily agree just because of that.

I've said it in a post before, but I became an Anti gr///vian first and a Gralu shipper second. I totally understand people who don't like a certain ship just because they ship those individuals with other people, and I think that's a perfectly valid reason to hate a ship, as we can hate ships for mostly any reason. So, yes, being a Gralu shipper gives me another reason to not like it if Lucy were to ship gr///via because that basically just reconfirms that they don't like each other.

However, for me personally, I hate it whenever Lucy (whom I don't remember supporting gr///via very much if at all, but she definitely didn't actively oppose it to the best of my knowledge), Erza, or anyone in Fairy Tail/the FT universe supports gr///via mostly because that makes them, at best, complicit in juvia's abuse of Gray, and, at worst, enablers of this abuse.

I refuse to believe that manipulative and toxic affection was the true moral of Mashima's Fairy Tail, even if his characters actively advocate for it. I think he lost sight somewhere along the line of what it truly means to be a Fairy Tail member, and that means to be a loyal, compassionate, brave friend who always looks out for each other and love one another. juvia is none of those things, not even loyal to Gray, because what she does is a detriment to him, and she's really just loyal to herself and her "love" for him. Yet, Mashima promotes her behavior by giving her what she so desperately coveted in the end and by forcing his characters to be completely OOC and back up juvia, the slobbering, nasty, selfish pig, and not their loving, stalwart brother-in-arms and victim here, Gray.

That is despicable.

What's more, beyond how awful it is that FT people would rather back juvia than Gray, it's just bad, lazy writing. In no world would juvia be able to abuse other people and manipulate them and bully women and yet also be praised and protected and loved by those same people. Erza should have never sided with juvia over the 413 days matter or berated Gray for "not being clear enough" when he's been plenty clear. The other FT members shouldn't have ever blasted Gray for "leading juvia on". No one should even like juvia or want to be her friend because of what a b*tch she is.

Yet of course, everyone loves her for NO REASON. There are so many reasons to hate her (and honestly not one good reason to love her in my opinion), but does Mashima care? Absolutely not. juvia is his self-proclaimed self-insert's waifu, after all.

Anyway, true FT fans should be enraged that juvia lockser is one of the main people we are encouraged to be like in this show. They should be indignant that juvia has been made a poster child for this anime, when she embodies none of its values. They should refuse to accept this as healthy and desirable. They should balk at the fact that their beloved characters endorse juvia's actions and life choices, which are wholly unacceptable and unhealthy not only to herself but most importantly to others.

But lots of fans delude themselves, and the fans drive Mashima, so unfortunately, here we are, with a whole cast of characters who promote and affirm juvia, the least deserving of the Fairy Tail members.

For the record, I am not really talking about the fans who acknowledge juvia's toxicity but still like her and the ship because of a sort of suspension of disbelief. Honestly, there are many problematic or evil characters that many people like, and I usually see no problem with it if you are able to separate your fictional fantasies with reality. (Some deeply problematic things I do not excuse though). For example, I like Sukuna from JJK. Do I think he's a good person? Aaaaabsolutely not. He's a completely awful person. But still, I think he's cool and his power is sick, so I like him.

My issue lies within the area of the FT community who refuse to accept that juvia's behavior is deplorable and who attack anyone who tells them otherwise. These are the rabid fans who'd go for Mashima's throat if he dared to not make gr///via canon. I don't believe the fans who know juvia is a bad person but still ship gr///via would be so up in arms about it because this sort of self-awareness indicates maturity to me.

[Sidenote, the really aggravating and only thing that sets juvia apart from the characters who are literal villains and douches is that juvia isn't treated like a bad guy within the story. Sans some uncomfortable stares and sweat drops, she is largely treated like family, and everyone loves her. When even the canon material itself won't acknowledge a character's toxicity and awfulness to itself, of course there'll be people who don't think she's toxic. I hate that Fairy Tail lies to itself in this way. It just helps to turn the deluded fans against well-meaning Antis who speak literal objective truth, that the way juvia acts is not okay in real life.]

No, your not the only one, I as a GrayLu have made edits of these two, GrayLu made more sense than what Mashima was going for in making Gr//Uvia the endgame ship, and this as a ship is so much better, I hope I can do it more justice in my fanfic💗💗💗
