little cottagecore things to do when you’re bored 🌸

- take a walk! even if it’s just through your neighborhood, take in the beauty of all the little things around you. collect flowers, berries, mushrooms, or anything else you fancy.

- bake something sweet! look on pinterest for treat recipes. some of my favorites include fruit pie, cookies, and dessert bread.

- read a book! find an old favorite or a new read and curl up with lots of blankets and some natural light. or, take a blanket outside and sit in the shade.

- go thrifting! take a few hours and browse through everything— you never know what you’ll find! stock up on pretty vintage dresses and floral teacups and whatever your heart desires.

- practice your art. whether it be traditional drawing, digital art, pottery, music, makeup, painting. anything! bring out your creative side and create some pretty nature scenes or anything beautiful.

- journal! document your life, your goals, your desires, anything. make it pretty or don’t, you don’t have to! check out the tumblr journaling tag for lots of gorgeous inspiration if you’d like to make it fancy.

- make a post like this one! i personally love seeing little “how to” lists and “things to do” lists, put your own spin on it!

I hope you appreciate this post just a little, I made it mainly for myself because I get bored so easily, but I figured you guys might take something from it. please leave more ideas in the replies, i’d love to hear yours!

I miss the old dirt roads and the ice cream shop. The strange, Coraline-esque door and the random trinkets hidden in every nook. I miss the innocence and naivety.
