An old lady got stabbed on the train in my city and now I’m spiralling lmaoooo

Anna - Half-Elf, Artisan, Warlock (Arch Fey) & Light Cleric for Tymora

18. What is your Tav’s greatest fear?

Betrayal. Specifically, falling in love with someone who becomes as controlling and abusive as her first lover or something even worse. Ascendant Astarion would be Anna’s absolute worst nightmare. 

If Astarion had decided to go through with the ritual she would have broken it off with him the moment it was over. Seven thousand lives, that much blood on his hands, would instantly sicken her alone. She would, however, stomach her repulsion and pragmatically keep him as a distant ally until the elder brain was destroyed.

Even if an ascendant Astarion were to ever bother to try and coax her back, she would refuse him coldly. She has zero desire to become a spawn or anyone’s possession again no matter how gilded the cage might be. She’d sooner die but not without trying to take that person down with her in the process. So long as Astarion keeps his distance and behaves himself she would plot on how to cure him if possible. But she would have little qualms over the idea of putting him down like a rabid dog if he started killing innocents.

19. What is your Tav’s greatest desire?

To have a peaceful life honing her craft and art along with having a large family. A mix of biological kids and adopted ones. If Astarion doesn’t want that she will find a partner that would and that partner would be Dammon.

I do see Anna and Astarion loving one another deeply but can also see their relationship becoming strained after things settled down. I’m not sure settling down is in his nature, to be honest. If they split up it would be amicable or… an understanding could develop between the three. He’s free to possibly explore something with say Sebastian while Anna and Dammon are more his homebodied spouses raising kids and enjoying their trades. In the end, Anna yearns to watch her family grow and have someone with whom she can grow old with too at her side.

20. What is your Tav’s greatest regret?

Believing-clinging to the idea that there should only be a “one and only.” She blames that toxic ideal of how one should save oneself and only have one lover as to why she put up with her abuser for so long. She regrets not giving up on such a hopeless cause and freeing herself of him sooner. Of being scared of being single and alone. But at least now she’s not afraid to be alone anymore. She will also not tolerate being mistreated ever again.

my greatest fear… i dunno man, probably like not fitting in. like the desi population of my school is split in half: super dorky or super popular and i fit into neither and i don’t have a steady friend group so there’s that

For Goddess Dead, Eliott’s greatest fear is being alone, or—more specifically—being alone due to the death or grievious injury of loved ones. This fear stems from when they lost their mother due to an illness which magick could not save her from, and it’s only followed them as they’ve gotten older. They understand that death happens, that war is happens—injury, disease, accidents, etc. Everyone they’ve ever loved will one day die (excluding Rowen, maybe), but they are terrified of sudden loss—of being powerless to save people, and this fear comes into play and is made real many times throughout the narrative.

I woke up today and realised one of my greatest fears is finally having its (dreaded) moment to shine; change.

There’s no denying that we’re getting older and that all of this is inevitable. We’re slowly being pushed out of our comfort zones, from all of the things and people we’ve known forever, to everything we’re used to, our routines. Out of our control whether we like it or not.

For years, I lived in the comfort of often knowing what to expect, what to do next, what to do if things go a certain way, where to find a friend when we needed/wanted one, everything is familiar. Though now, when I think about the future, all I see is a clear, clean blank page and suddenly I don’t know anything at all.

In this case, I guess I’m most afraid of the (cruel) possibility of a person we love suddenly waking up one day and deciding I don’t fit in their life anymore. That things are just too different now and that we just don’t click anymore. That we’ve grown together and now maybe, we must grow apart. That everything has changed and apparently, so did their love for me.

Just how terrible it is to become just another stranger in the street to someone my whole heart once belongs to, to someone that’s become a part of my being, to someone I would move mountains for?

Only the strongest hearts can handle a change like that, and I fear my heart’s just not one of them.
