Jack stepped out of the portal. So his version takes place in Moonwood Mill! And he is standing right before the Bunker! This means Noxee will be his guide! Oh he's so excited! (Since she lives here. Noxee was Jack's first crush.)

But no one was around. So Jack went to the cliff above Lake Lunvik to get an overview. He told Little Goat to stay near the Bunker. Moonwood Mill is full of wolves who would love a little goat appetizer before dinner.

He arrived at the cliff just at the border between night and day. But where is Noxee?

Oh no - he knows that smell. It's Greg! Why their former PE teacher of all creatures?

Greg: "Is this how you dress when you enter the otherworld? Show a little respect!" Jack: "These are my best trousers!" (Yes, now. Since he ripped his best trousers the other day...)

And when Greg asked Jack what he wants to let go, there was only one answer: "You! I want to let go of you! Go where ever you want but don't cross my way anymore! What are you even doing here? And where is Noxee?"

'So I went from day to day, though my life was in a rut 'Til I thought of what I'd say, which connection I should cut'

Greg: "Well, let's have a fight. If you win, you will never see me again." Jack: "Agreed! You must know, I never loose a fight!" (Well except against Kiyoshi. But only because Kiyoshi is his alpha and also fights with Jack's strength. This won't happen with Greg, Jack is sure.) And so they went to the fighting grounds and Greg transformed.

But Jack lost again! How is this possible? Maybe because it's the otherworld and the fight is tied to the offering?

Greg: "That was a weak offering. Your gain will be greater when you let something more important go, son." Jack: "Don't call me that! So - the most important thing in my life are my friends. I certainly won't let them go. Second is ... uhm... Pizza. (since their relationship is a secret, he can't say 'Kiyoshi') But I can't let that go either. But I will let my ... uhm let's say... 'weird obsession' for it go. That's my highest bid." (Jack is insanely jealous and has a lot of weird suspicions about Kiyoshi going on in his crazy head. Since Kiyoshi can't tell him about his actions concerning the Council and the Resistance. And that everyone (except Noxee) falls for his demonic charms doesn't make it easier...).

Greg: "Accepted. Let's call the horse then." They transformed back and waited for the horse. Greg: "There it comes!" Jack: "That's not a horse! What's wrong with you?" Greg: "Behind that girl! What's wrong with you!"

Ah there it is!

And it runs right past Jack! Just like Kiyoshi on their first date! Hahaha this game!

Jack: "He's wonderful! What's his name?" Greg: "Haha he's Lunatic, just like you!"

Lunatic: "Take that back!" Greg: "Sorry, pal."

Greg: "His name actually is 'Lunatic'. He's a Galineers Cob." ('Luna' = 'the moon' in many languages).

Time is short, the portal is overgrowing on the other side. And so Jack mounted and tried to steer Lunatic to the portal. But before they could discuss the deal there with Little Goat, Lunatic trotted right in the opposite direction.

Where they vanished into the woods...

a sapphic publication wrote an article about The Old Guard, how it has 4 canon queer characters in the comics, and how Netflix is TERRIBLE at promoting this fact. It was a much needed write-up.

And of course, a Booker fan retweeted it with just a snide comment about how there isn't only 4 queer characters. How was the person who wrote this article supposed to know about a fleeting comment Greg made in a private chat? Why isn't this fan demanding actual queer rep for Booker in canon instead of adding useless commentary like this?

If tptb actually wanted to expand on Booker's queerness, they could've had him in anything other than a nun orgy (something I can't even type without rolling my eyes) in Tales Through Time. And yet.

Maybe Booker fans should focus their energy on correcting that copout, instead of a small sapphic online publication.

(Sorry for the rant, I am just SO tired at some of the punching down that happens in fandom.)

All the sad bisexual headcanons in the world can't make booker queer, soz. Andy and Quynh deserve better than people trying to make this about the dullest character going ~yet again~
