Don't say it. I don’t need to hear about it, and I don’t need to talk about it. It happened, but this is a new leaf as you keep saying. Leave the past in the past, Maria. If you’re all for moving on, you’ll stop talking about it.

HELVITI FARM IS DONE 🎉🎊🎉🎊
Hi all! Long time no see!
During my painfully long absence I have been slaving away at Helviti Farm, the finale to the Edenbridge series!
I will be posting quotes and mood boards for this book as it is the finale and may even post snippets and scenes if they are requested!
I've noticed a rise in followers whilst I've been away too, so welcome! If anyone has any questions they want to ask, be it about this book or any other stories or even just to check in, please send me an ask! I've missed you all!
If you would like to be added to a taglist for Helviti Farm for mood boards or snippets, please let me know!

If it means killing you to get rid of you, I will. I will stop at nothing to make sure that my people are safe from you, and that you never, ever, come back here again. I’m not below you anymore! If you want a fight, I will give you a fight, but you will not win it. You made a grave mistake coming here because, if I have it my way, you won’t be going back.

We couldn't turn to you, so we turned to the shaman. Johanna, she...she wanted time to stand still until this was fixed. She wanted to pause time until you came back, because the Gods told her that you would be back, and supplied her with this…elixir. Only the Gods know what it was made from, but the people took it. They took it in hopes that everything would stop around them, but they noticed no change, so they cast Johanna out and lived on in disappointment, expecting everything to crumble around them.

It was my duty to stay loyal to your father. I married him, and he had my word as his wife that I would stay with him until the grave. I followed him rather unfortunately to my demise, but I had to. That was my duty. It is a wife’s obligation to follow in her husband’s footsteps and stand by his side even if you hate the very fibre of his being, even if he’s a pig-headed, egotistical, selfish, arrogant bastard who never learned to love anyone but himself.

And you don't scare me, Jarl Lofgren. You were almost crushed under my heel a matter of months ago. I could easily replay those months for you, Kellen. I could make you suffer just as easily. This time, I won’t let you live. I won’t let you escape from my grasp again. So, I suggest that you just sit tight and listen to everything that I have to say, because you’re going to be here for an unspeakably long time if you don’t.

I'm not trying to be here. I'm encouraging you to go and find her if you are that bored. It'd make for a nice trip, no? You would have something to do, and you would have a goal that you genuinely wanted to work towards. What is it that's holding you back?

I could die from this. It wouldn’t be that much of a surprise if I did. She’s almost killed me many times, but I vow to try and make this time different. I will do all I can to make sure that I come out of this alive, and that Noreiva doesn’t lose their Jarl before they’ve even really gotten used to me. If it means killing her—

I do, but they're long dead. The family that lived here was...immaculate. They're long gone, though. They were infamous, too. The last I remember, there was two of them left, but apparently they were killed here. I heard they were buried under these very floorboards.

The fact that you're trying to lie to yourself is utterly bemusing, Contessa. You care, and I can tell you do. You care possibly a little too much about what your beloved fiancee has done over these decades. You're trying to pass it off as if you couldn't care less about, but the fact of the matter is that your heart has been in turmoil ever since you arrived here.

Go and do your job. If I see you even a metre away from that bar door, I will stake you to it. If you come near me again with even the thought of getting anything from me, I will make your life a living hell. If you don't think I can hurt you, Franco, go and have a word with anyone here. I can do things you couldn't even begin to imagine. Don't make me mad, Franco. Not now. Do not make me mad.

Why? So you can tell me I'm wrong for feeling how I do? Or so you can tell me I'm overreacting? Or that it's not your problem? Do you think I want to hear that again? I'm done with all of those arguments; do you hear me? I'm not going through this with you again!

You've fallen, Maria. You’ve fallen and you’re scared. This is proving it. You’re acting like a dog who’s been backed into a corner. This isn’t what you want. This has never been what you want, but because it’s what feels right, you’re acting on it.

I used to come back to these places when I didn’t have you with me, and I would look at the moon by myself and imagine that you were by my side. I had never felt more at peace than I did on those nights. It brought me such harmony to know that there was a decent soul in this place. It brought me such happiness to feel you cover your hand with mine, or to loop an arm around my shoulder, or to kiss the top of my head.

There is no such thing as ‘nothing you can do’. There is always something you can do. Maria is not the end of the world. Maria has never been the end of the world. You are giving her all of her power. The only reason that she is still alive is because you keep fuelling her.
