Song of Norway (1970) is a bad film by any metric. A musical based on Grieg's life - if by "based on Grieg's life" you mean "had almost nothing to do with it" - it was a critical and commercial failure.
Probably what is both the most memorable and goofiest segment is the trolls part (you know, all big musicals back then had a live action and animation section). It would not be worth mentioning were it not for the fact that virtually all of the trolls are based on the great Theodor Kittelsen's artwork.

I feel like you'll know the answer to this ~ what is that classical music song that gets faster and faster and more chaotic as it goes on, and it's got like violins and it starts out real slow and picks up speed??? It's used a bunch of memes and shit and it was in the video with that dried noodle guy chat I think??????
Oh Anon, you picked the right nerd for this. I know exactly which piece you're talking about. It's 'In the Hall of the Mountain King' by Grieg, from his Peer Gynt suite: (your description was spot on and also perfectly chaotic, I love it)

Grieg&Elgar's Musiks. They're a teenage idol group managed by Handel (who is said to be Bach's old friend), competitors of ClaKla but they are privately friends.

The cane of Elgar releases Musiks by touching the ground with. The number of touches, frequency, and amount of force applied (tapping or hitting) determines the Musik that is going to be released.

Holberg Suite (Edvard Grieg):

THE string orchestra piece of all time. Takes such care of all of its lines throughout the entire piece, with some of the best viola melodies I've had the privilege of playing. The pairing of the romantic texture and melodies with this baroque idea works so well especially in the 3rd movement, and the way Grieg manages to introduce slightly neoclassical ideas is really cool.

Grieg: "Peer Gynt" Suite 2 Op.55-4 "Solveig's Song"
youtube
The sad tonality of this song seems to tickle the imagination of musicians, and Taeko Onuki has sung it as a nursery rhyme in Japan. This song fully demonstrates Grieg's talent as a melody maker.

Last win - Livre de Guitarre dédie au roy, Suite no. 3 in D Minor (de Viseé)
It’s pretty much your moral duty to vote khachaturian for everything, but especially masquerade suite. we used to host a winter waltz and this was the most fun piece to play with the full symphony
Peer Gynt Suite no. 1 (Edvard Grieg):

Last win – Papillions Suite (Schumann)
Featuring Morning Mood and In the Hall of the Mountain King. Can you get much more iconic than that?
