The fandom seem to see them as a very active sexual couple despite the fact they were together for 2 months only and were probably inexperienced considering being gay was a taboo and they were both very young, GG possibly only 15/16. I've a hard time thinking they had that much sex as they also lacked privacy with Abe/Ari around. JK said it was an "intense, passionate and love relationship" and didn't deny the sexual aspects of it. I'm not saying I think Albus died a virgin though. Thoughts?

Albus was 18, so Gellert is about 16-17. Even for the time it was not an unusual age for teens to have sex and they could have found the room and time.

Also, being gay was a taboo in the Muggle world, but so far it hasn't gotten any bad reactions in the Wizarding world. Regardless, I think that Gellert was alredy the kind of person that was not defined by taboos and Albus was so in love that he wouldn't have let any internalized fears hold him back.

But as Rowling has said, sex is not the most important thing in their relationship. I think there was a perfect balance between Gellert and Albus' phsical relationship and between their intellectual relationships. I don't see the relationship remaining chaste, but neither do I think that it was a 18+ AO3 fic.

I like to think they switched and experimented and they were sweet and passionate about it.

Sometimes I headcanon that they had sex for the first time on their wedding night, but usually I think they were so deeply in love and passion they made love as soon as they could.

I've seen some arguing that they were friends before becoming lovers, but I disagree: I think it was love on first sight for Albus (meanwhile Gellert already had visions of his soulmate) and they instantly were mutually attracted and charmed.

I think they kissed the second they were alone without Bathilda and they couldn't get enough one of the other.

As I said, I think they switched, but I also think Gellert topped more often. Gellert was more sure of his body and liked the control the position allowed, and taking care of Albus in such an intimate way.

Albus was just happy to let Gellert explore his body and being the focus of his attention and care.

Since I'm convinced they met during the years, I feel like Albus preferred Gellert taking the lead and topping him, he liked to have proof that Gellert viscerally desired him and was able to still be a tender lover. These moments were like opium.

Gellert was also a natural, a very good and generous lover (he liked to suck Albus off), and Albus too was tender and passionate, their sex life was very fulfilling during that summer.
