He's here.

This is not the first social engagement you have attended since your arrival at the Grand Palace. There's been quite a few, actually, as your distant royal relatives parade you searching for the best match. You are probably being a disappointment, because you spend your time gossiping with other girls, drinking far too much champagne and stomping on the feet of your suitors.

He's the first Grisha you see attending one of these events. He must abide by the rules of the court too and show himself at the Grand Palace, sometimes.

The tsarina introduces you, although he can't possibly be a suitor of sorts. You know a thing or two about Grisha: this man has definitely been living longer than any other in the room and cannot be interested.

He doesn't take your hand, just respectfully bows his head, and suddenly the two of you are alone in the crowd, with nothing to say.

You have something to say, actually. It would be so easy, to just speak up and say: "I can call upon moonlight, take me with you". But your tongue is tied, and when it loosens, you say the stupidest thing in the world.

"Do you dance?"

He barely smiles, seemingly amused. "Not if I can help it".

And now that you have made a fool of yourself, you hide your face in your glass of wine. You need a refill.

"Although I've heard you are quite the dancer", he adds, and you almost choke on your wine.

"Don't believe everything you hear" you stutter. "Or you'll end up with a broken foot".

That's just small talk, and it's making you uncomfortable. You shouldn't be standing next to him, you shouldn't be making jokes at him, you shouldn't be talking to him at all.

And he shouldn't be talking to you. You are pretty sure he's just playing the politics game, so you bow, ready to take your leave, when he casually leans forward and whispers:

"Who are you?"

"You heard the tsarina", you answer, not very politely. "She just introduced us".

His glare widens. He seems to contemplate all the lies you dress yourself with. "But we met before", he continues. "Haven't we?"

"You mistake me for som--"

"Don't lie to me, milady".

You turn red with rage, and get bold. "How dare you--"

"I can't keep myself from wondering what you were really doing on top of that hill above the Little Palace, at the end of night", he keeps talking, undisturbed. He has piercing eyes, and you could get lost in his glare if he weren't what he is. "It's the old story of the rebellious noblewoman? Running from an unwanted fate, perhaps?"

You can't help it. "Or running towards it", you mumble.

Someone comes to your rescue. They see a lady in distress and they just can't resist. A gentleman you've never seen before, never heard of, comes over to ask you to dance.

You turn to your interrogator with a small, triumphant smile. He's the picture of formality, now, but this time, when he bows, he takes your hand. You are wearing gloves, but you feel...

Something is awfully right, or awfully wrong. It has to do with his grasp, his eyes, the evening shadows lingering at the golden windows of the Grand Palace and, damn you, it's a full moon tonight. The Darkling looks at you and now he's smiling, and you don't know who's winning anymore.

You go on dancing, but when you spin around, he's gone.

Hello there! I'm a 20 year old (he/they) searching for long term rp partners who are preferably queer (I am trans and just generally looking for queer friends). I am in college so there might be weeks where I am a little spotty with replies, but I usually reply once a day at minimum, and I will always let you know if I cannot reply.

I am literate, and usually write 2-4 paragraphs (depending on what is happening, ie shorter paragraphs for a face-paced scene). I prefer to do rp on discord, but I am open to something new. 18+ is a must, not just for NSFW, I just don’t feel comfortable doing rp with minors. In the event of NSFW stuff, kinks and boundaries will be discussed before anything, although I am pretty open to lots of stuff. I love slowburn, enemies to lovers, and drama. I almost always play male characters, with a few exceptions, and prefer m/m, but I am willing to negotiate.

I am open to fandom stuff, or I would love to do a D&D type setting. I can do oc x oc, canon x canon, or oc x canon, although I would prefer not to be the canon character every time. You write a canon character for my oc and I will write a canon character for your oc. Also I am absolutely willing to double up for side characters and stuff.

Looking for a Six of Crows/Shadow and Bone roleplay. A few things to bear in mind if you’re interested. I want to characters to be the age they are in Six of Crows books, e.g. Kaz would be 17-18 and Inej 16. I would be the one playing Kaz and I am mostly looking for Kanej ship wise: though I am open to found something platonic between Kaz and the other crows. The other thing to bear in mind I would be playing Kaz as Ace, that isn’t to say I am not open to Romance and I do have a plot:

Kaz finds himself falling for Inej but tries to deny it at first. He is pretty sure he liked her romantically, or is starting to, though it takes him a lot of courage for him to eventually admit his feelings towards her, though eventually he does and the two start dating. Only After several near-death encounters, do they both gradually acknowledge their feelings for one another, inching closer and closer to a romantic relationship.

Also looking for Rp partners for a Maze Runner rp. I would play Newt, I won’t do BxG pairings with him unless it’s solely platonic, I only do BxB ship rps with the character. I am looking mostly for Newtmas for this idea, though I prefer my partner to play Thomas for that ship. I do have a list of headcannons I am working on which I send to rp partners and also I do work from both book and film; I actually have an Au idea for after the events of Death Cure, which is kind of like if Newt ended up surviving, If you’re interested my Pms should be open. I am still working on some information for the way I prefer to portray so I don’t have that at the moment but I do have a start to my head-cannons list. I do have a plot point taken from the films of Scorch Trials and Death Cure I can explain to anyone who is interested.

I am semi-lit to advanced lit but I’m have a higher preference for lit to advanced to advanced lie because I do better with detail. The more detail the easier I find it to reply, and the less detail it he more I struggle to reply. My only real triggers are the death of my character, I don’t mind near death especially if it’s a plot point in the book or tv show or film in question etc. though. I allow Oc’s but more comfortable with CCxCC. If Interested comment here.

You told nobody about it. You sneaked out on purpose on a full moon's night to go play with moonlight, calling it upon your hands, letting it carry you a few feet off the ground. It felt good. The void inside you was filled with strenght.

Your mother found out.

She made you promise it would all stop. She told you about the horrible things that happened to those mingling with that kind of power. Back in Os Alta, at the Little Palace, they were sent to war, the same that killed your father.

She watched over you all the time, made sure you never glowed again. You were scared, now, and angry.

Time passed. Your sleepwalking got worse. You didn't play with your cousins anymore. You needed time alone. You read, and daydreamed.

Sometimes, in your room, at night, moonlight came to you. You just couldn't help it. Far from your mother's eye, you filled with hope.
