Here I am, the original six crows anon. I read SoC first and then the shadow& bone books and then the show. I know some ppl say do show 1st & books 2nd, but either way you want to do it is great. But I’d say that the SoC books are the best; the heists and found families, and pining are *chefs kiss*

[2/2] Original anon here with more thoughts. Without giving too many spoilers, I did like how the shadow&bone (aka Grisha trilogy) did the whole chosen one trope and allowed the main girl to have a softer side instead of forcing her to be badass all the time. I know some ppl didn’t like that, but I think it’s great that there are some characters who are allowed to have a soft ending.

I prefer books as far as character development goes typically and I hear it's really good in these. Now I have to get my hands on the books... And this last bit definitely intrigues me, I think it should happen more often "softness is not weakness" and all.
