I am rewriting the plot to the most recent seven deadly sins movie. Because I hate the fact that Elizabeth is always the damsel in distress. I have seen an art piece or two surrounding the idea that Meliodas was the one who was cursed and not Elizabeth. Here we go!

So the premise is that Meliodas is left alone with Tristan. Elizabeth is out on a trip, be it pleasure or otherwise. So she is very far away from Liones castle, and can only really communicate to her husband by writing notes.

Tristan is the same as he is in the movie: skipping practice so he can ride horses with Gowther. Unfortunately Meliodas is not pleased with him, and confronts him about it at the table. When Tristan shouts at him that "you're never going to understand me, father," and runs away, Meliodas persues him and tries to reason with him. Meliodas and Tristan have an argument, and it angers Tristan so much that he gets into a physical altercation with him. Or hits him as his father tries to stop him from leaving once more. But before he can run off once more, he mutters that he hates him (kind of out of Tristan's character I know, I know. Just go with me on this okay?) And goes back to his room.

The next morning the castle guard wakes up Tristan, informing him that Meliodas has passed out. Terrified, the young prince runs to his fathers' room, seeing Meliodas sweaty and breathing heavily. Tristan claims he is unable to break the curse, but says that Elizabeth can.

However, he is unwilling to wait for his mother, saying that they cant risk waiting around for Elizabeth to come home to heal him. He's found the signature of the curse, and says he is going out to save his father. Tristan feels terrible about what he said and did the other night, and says that this is the only way to make it up to him. He will do whatever it takes to save Meliodas, and charges on ahead to Edinburgh while Elizabeth is contacted.
