Remus: *pointing to the T.V. screen as he explains the games rules*

James: You mean to tell me, that people run for hours around a lawn chasing a ball to a net on the opposite end for fun?

Remus: It's kind of like quidditch.

James: *offended* Let me tell you, flying is nothing like running...you understand? And we have more than one ball ! It's way more fun when you have more than one ball. I will never! Ever! Play football which is a mockery to a poor imitation of quidditch!

Remus (who doesn't care much for sports anyways) : Jeez...OK

Regulus: *Casually mentions having a crush on a Ronaldo as a child because Sirius "forced" him to watch muggle sports*

The Marauders were having a party. James and Sirius had convinced Madam Rosmerta to supply them with alcohol. Peter and Remus had asked the house elves if they would be so kind as to send up some food for their guests. And Mary, Lily and Marlene had decorated the Common room. Between them, they seemed to be unstoppable.

The party was in full swing. Everyone was having a great time, dancing, eating, drinking and, in Peters's case, singing along full pelt to an Elton John song.

Remus had had to sit down. He’d done a few too many shots, so was quietly taking small sips of water to try and clear his head and settle his stomach.

Monolith started playing after Rocket Man. Remus looked over at the dancers. Most were couples dancing to the slower song. But right in the middle of the dance floor, in a circle of his own, as though a magical barrier had been placed upon him, was Sirius.

His body swaying to the music. His arms above his head, bringing them up and down slowly around himself. His hands moved with the music, floating through the air. His fingers twitched with the beat. His whole body was alive, moving fluidly.

Remus took another sip of water before placing his glass down on the nearest table and helplessly walking towards Sirius.

He wound his way through the other dancers until he came to Sirius’s circle. He stood on the edge, watching Sirius undulate to the music. His eyes were closed, a smile playing across his face.

Remus went through the imaginary barrier straight to Sirius. He carefully placed his hand on Sirius’s hips. Sirius let his hands fall around Remus’s shoulders.

“Wondered how long it would take you.” He crooned, opening his eyelids in a flutter.

“Sorry, I was enjoying the view.” Remus grinned at him as Sirius laid his head on Remus’s shoulder, and they swayed together for the rest of the night.

Sirius on his 17th Birthday...

I have an image of Sirius spending his time choreographing to Dancing Queen because that song is an absolute banger.

He and James spent hours perfecting a very synced and entertaining, showstopper performance on the song.

It involved party poppers, flowers, crowns, magically induced fireworks, jumping down a rope from the top of the common room staircase like a Tarzan while the other caught him, and anything overdramatic and extravagant you can think of.

Remus and Peter were just on the side with tambourine duties. Regulus sat at the corner and just rolled his eyes even though he thought of the good old days him and Sirius used to dance in his room quietly while everyone slept, stealing small moments of joy. He is very fond and loves watching James hips shake.

Sirius practiced it to perfection and on his 17th birthday he pulled out all the stops making it Gryffindor common room's most legendary party ever.
