A game of wandering through darkness and fog while waking up all the sleepy bois in the neighborhood and then whacking them with various deadly objects. Some of the sleepy bois are not sleepy at all and send dreadful spaghetti after you which you must avoid or get yelled at.

Occasionally you try to open a door, but the door wants you to do cardio and shouts at you, which wakes up even more sleepy bois and increases your cardio workout to maximum level. 

Sometimes after all that exercise, shouting and whacking, you get to win.

It’s pretty great.

kinkshaming, villainizing, and the morality police, aka people we gotta talk! what the hell is wrong with some of you?

WARNING! Ramblings of a fed up dark!writer.

I’m scrolling through tumblr, usually it’s a pleasant experience. I know how to block tags and content using tumblr’s handy dandy filtering tool! Oh yeah, it’s this very interesting tool in the settings menu. If you don’t want to see something, you can filter it off of your dashboard. Wow 😮 isn’t that wonderful.

But alas, I see a long, judgmental, entitled, and downright shameful post targeted at dark!writers. Villainizing them, accusing them of glorification and romanticization of horrendous acts because they dare writer about them! Oh my lord. And these writers, they would dare use popular characters! My word 😮

Using false equivalencies to make arguments isn’t valid. Let me tell you. And talking down to the community, again, wrong. If you don’t like a subsect of writers in the fandom, turn around and scroll on by and block! It’s just that easy. Wow, a click of the mouse.

Instead of projecting your trauma onto others and trying to target a whole section of the community maybe you could learn about why dark!fics exist. Why nonconsent, forced pregnancy, the dynamics of ddlg/dom sub work, before you go back to the Victorian era sexuality.

(And let me remind you, that none of us dark!writers are out here telling you what to write or judging what you’re into. If you want to bake cupcakes and lick sugar of each other’s noses, have at it. You curate your own space, you don’t control ours)
