Trigun Ultimate Fan Guide Volume #1 (Geneon second edition, 2004) and Book #2 (Pioneer first edition, 2002) front and back covers.

Information and me rambling about the books beneath the cut:

In addition to episode summaries, character bios, and general information about the show, these books contain Trigun-related game materials for the "Big Eyes, Small Mouth" (abbreviated as "BESM") TTRPG system produced by Guardians of Order.

While I've never used them for the game, I've read the show guide portions many times. There are some mistakes by the author but otherwise it's a really nicely done fan guide. The guide section is printed in full color and has TONS of screenshots (albeit low quality) and official artworks. The game portion is black and white and in addition to the game information, there's lots of great quality scans of set materials (larger than the versions in the Roman Album artbook!!). If you're a big fan of the 1998 anime, I definitely recommend picking them up if you get the chance!

I found the copies pictured above for sale together years ago at an anime convention, I think it's interesting how there are actually 2 editions (due to Pioneer becoming Geneon in 2003) and that I managed to end up with one of each version.....

There's also a combined hardcover version of these books called Trigun D20 that was published in 2004 under the Geneon name. I've seen a PDF version of it, I think a few minor things are omitted from the guidebook portions but I have not analyzed them closely enough to be 100% sure. I am also unsure if the game portion is altered due to it being advertised for the D20 system on the cover, but there's still a mention of BESM on the back. honestly I know nothing about TTRPGs so I really have no idea what any of this really means lmao

#trigun stampede #trigun #vashwood #vash the stampede #nicholas d wolfwood #i think they both spent majority of their lives in solitude and ofc vash went town to town and made friendships promises and etc along the w #way + he had his home and whatnot in the long years he's been alive but he still just seemed so lonely.#in prior versions of trimax he had friends at home at least and maybe he mightv made some but luida and brad are basically just his #guardians in this adaption. like brad used to be a homie.... vash watched that little dude grow up.... and jessica too.... but he doesn't #have that in this adaption. nor a town like july where he had grown close to the townspeople and shaped that tragedy to be closer to his #heart. and wolfwood spent years fighting under the eom and doing shit under their jurisdiction when we saw him so adamantly try to reject #and fight back against that fate. i dont think he had a second at all to get familiar with townspeople or even care to #so its just these two lonely ass souls and vash immediately seeing the good in ww and points it out #ww who is under orders again to be involved in vash's business but he's also SO touchy about it bc vash is so careless and lack that self #regard and also just is not seeing the world that ww is seeing. but then vash helps him and saves him by sharing a piece of what /he/ sees #and it fucking. rescrambled ww's brain for a sec. HE GAVE HIM HOPE!!! he gave him hope!!!! and in turn ww gave vash hope too and its #all done in like 3-4 eps. there's so much fervent attachment in what they managed to give each other in such a short time #but theyre limited to the contract to the inevitable confrontation with knives - so while theyd want to give into that chance to love this #person who managed to give them smth special they just can't at all #ruporas art

ivan’s the kind of guy to pine over someone for two decades with full knowledge that his feelings won’t be reciprocated. if he knew that till had hesitated back then, do you think he would’ve made a second attempt to escape before/during this round?

do you think that kind of hope would’ve motivate him to try harder to live? knowing that somewhere in till’s heart, ivan had a space there too. and that if he died, he would also be giving him trauma like sua to mizi?

I wanted to practise using 3D camera on AE, and this short flashback sequence in Part 5 gave me the perfect opportunity! Tried to give it a sorta "bedtime story" look. It's about the original Guardians' battle against Pitch centuries ago.

Been seeing a resurgence of fan content for SU recently? So obviously, I immediately became afflicted with "AU for my OCs" disease

Fanfiction Prompt

Ladybug does not have a civilian identity. For as long as she can remember she's been raised by the Order to wield her Miraculous, and "Ladybug" in various languages is the only name they have ever given her. When she's sent to Paris, where the stolen Butterfly and Peacock have been tracked, she operates with as little public presence as possible and does not engage with the press. When the long-lost Black Cat shows up to fight akumatized civilians, her Guardian handler commands her to retrieve it as well, eager to get it back under the Order's safekeeping. Ladybug has never even thought to defy the Guardians... yet she feels a connection to Chat Noir that she has never experienced before, an instinctive sense of trust that turns into seamless teamwork. He has little combat experience and barely knows anything about the Miraculous, but he's enthusiastic, good-natured and beloved by the people of Paris. He seems to spend a lot of time transformed, not just when the Butterfly rears his head. His small acts of everyday heroism are endearing, and he is eager to be her friend despite the way she has tried to rebuff him. Tikki counsels she does not sense Plagg is being misused, though she admits her counterpart's definition of "misuse" is quite a bit looser than the Order's. Ladybug takes a risk and tries to convince her Guardian that Chat Noir feels like a natural fit for the Miraculous of Destruction, careful not to mention the deeper way she is drawn to him. She argues that he could be taken into the fold and trained properly. But the Guardian is quick to chastise her, and insists he must be stripped of both the ring and any memories of the Miraculous. Ladybug *knows* she is not wrong to trust the Black Cat... for the first time in her life, she has begun to question the Order's ways.
