I think it becomes dangerous when proshippers make content without meaningfully engaging all aspects of the content or they actively just. Glorify it. The content itself isn't critically thought about and it shows and then it loses me. And again, like I spat about, I support dark fiction and themes and ideas!! Extreme violence and all it's forms do exist in the real world. But to fetishize that violence against people is like being spit on.

And I understand that trauma is a difficult thing to handle and it can play a role in creation/consumption of certain media but not everything is a healthy coping mechanism, nor are you freed from responsibility because of trauma.

I'm thinking I'm especially pissy about this bc I used to be friends with people who made proship content and celebrated it. I was friends with them before they started to do this but I just watched them devolve. I saw how they treated subject matter and joked about it and didn't care about who got exposed to it. They actively relished in the fact they were making things that were upsetting or triggering. And a lot of proshippers have this attitude and victim complex while also straight up just posting child or rape porn.

It's a thin line to walk and there's nuances to how to ethically and thoughtfully engage with dark/taboo stuff. I don't think people are bad people if they like murder in tv shows or how a relationship depicting abuse was written in a book. It's bad when you sit there and get off on someone else's traumas without giving it a second thought.

theres like, two levels of “playersexual”.

the first is the authors making all the romance options bi, which. like technically it can often stem from the same mechanical reasoning as “true” playersexuality (omfg im gatekeeping?????), that its easier, more efficient, or more equitable to just have all the options available to any character setup. in that sense theyre absolutely taxonomically related, but from a semantic and ethical point of view it seems kinda dogshit to reduce textually bi (one way or another, theres a lotta ways to do that) people to a mere practical development choice? like dude i think that characters just bisexual its kinda fucking wierd to frame his ability to be attracted to [character in context thats not the pc’s gender] and also romance the player character as some sort of “lazy writing shortcut”.

the second is far more nebulous as it exists more in what is LACKING than what is there. the anomalous ‘real’ “oh actually this was just a studio being either programming/writing lazy or like. genuinely just bizzare on a spiritual level”. skyrim romance is roughly egalitarian in implementation but there is effectively 0 external queers aside from two dead guys on an island and Possibly this one vampire from the morthal quest who seems like shes grooming a child? its a world absent of same-gender relationships but incapable of recognizing the player as anything extraordinary in that respect. romanceable npcs showing attraction to other npcs is rare in general, even, though going back over it in my head my initial presumption of it being completely absent is verifiably false. i think. ANYWAYS this theoretically would also include characters whose textual sexuality CHANGES to match the player character, which -discounting allowances for potential watsonian mischaracterization (i.e. a character being labeled gay by an unreliable commentator in a save in which they end up in a same-gender relationship, and other such things) can show up in really weird ways like ok in stardew valley i’m not actually saying Leah’s ORIENTATION necessarily changes but her ex’s gender specifically changing to match the player is SO FUCKING WIERD WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT. LIKE WHAT IS THAT EVEN IMPLYING?! WHUH?!!?

I wanted to share some of the characteristics I imagined in the Perfect Court appearance. Tell me if you agree or not and if you imagined something completely different bc im curious!!

#1 Riko Moriyama

He has the typical asian perfect skin and he hated it bc it made him look "soft." His best features are his eyes bc they are monolid eyes and this made his stares look more threatening but not enough since he's brother had the same monolid eyes but his were more sharp and looked more threatening. That's why Riko always preferred physical violence bc he knew his appearance wasn't as threatening as Ichirou's. He kept his hair short to look more menacing.

#2 Kevin Day

He is handsome. He is the classic perfect good-looking guy with green eyes, dark hair and eyebrows, a tall and well-built body, a sharp jawline, a perfect nose and cheekbones. When fans spot him in public and ask him for pictures there is always someone who sees the scene and wonders if he is a famous model or actor and when they discover that he's actually and Exy player they are shocked bc they would have never guessed it.

#3 Jean Moreau

He has pretty grey eyes and pretty eyelashes. After the first time Riko passed him around, his abusers started making jokes and call him names like "eye candy," "dollface" or "babydoll" and when Riko scarred his face he was so glad to hear ppl say "those scars ruined your pretty face". He has moles here and there in his body and he has pale skin that's why Riko loved using knives and leaving bruises on him bc the blood looked more red and scarlet against pale skin and the bruises had vivid colours compered to his skin tone.

#4 Neil Josten

He is good-looking but not in a stereotypical way. He has the classic ginger hair and blue eyes but not the white skin tone, but he has slightly sun-kissed skin. Because of that his scars don't look out of place like Jean's bc the colour of the scars' tissue (after healing ofc) fit the colour of his skin making them an attractive and interesting feature to look at. I know his best feature is his mouth bc he has nice lips that he likes to use to shittalk all the time.

You wake up and open your eyes due to the trill sound of your alarm, the bright red numbers on the device flashed. Whining as you shut it off and opted to lay in bed for a few more minutes before your mother knocked on the door. “Honey wake up, breakfast is on the table.” she declared in which you just hummed before getting out of bed and headed downstairs.

Your mom asked you a few questions but you really didn’t have the energy to respond with much enthusiasm. After eating you heading back into your bedroom to get dressed, thinking of dressing a little nice today just to make yourself feel a little better. Slipping into a tight black dress with a white long sleeved half-top over it, white dainty leg warmers and black mary janes. You looked in the mirror and nodded softly in approval of your outfit, sitting down at your vanity to do a but of makeup so you didn’t look like you were running on fumes.

Soon leaving your home and you started your walk to school; you lived close so you didn’t mind the 10-15 minute walk every morning. Happy that you could just listen to music and be left to think.

Humming softly to ‘Dreams’ by Fleetwood Mac as you walked to your locker and grabbed things you needed, putting away things you didn’t. Before you knew it you felt yourself being pushed against the lockers, a soft groan coming from you because you knew who the culprit was before even turning around. “Morning to you too Hargrove.” you said before taking your headphones off and resting them around your neck. You closed your locker and turned on your heel to face Billy whom was walking around with his disciples as always.

“Uh huh. Tryin’ to impress today?” he asked and all you did was roll your eyes before putting your headphones over your ears again and walking to your first class. You didn’t even give Billy the time of day, knowing the attention is what he wanted. He wanted you to get mad. And you weren’t going to give into it.

You greeted the teacher as you walked into class and immediately took your seat. You liked this class apart from one significant detail. Billy sat next to you. Damn assigned seating. He sat beside him and you glanced over at him which he caught, knowing he did because a smirk was shown on his lips. “Like what you see princess?” he whispered and you couldn’t help but clench your thighs together but you played it off with a glare before you got to work.

Normally Billy’s pestering all class long doesn’t get to you but something just snapped. You just couldn’t hold it in anymore. “Jesus Christ Billy can you just shut the fuck up for 5 seconds?! I know you think your all that because ever girl bends over backwards to get fucked by you and you think the world owes you because of your home issues or whatever but guess what? The world doesn’t fucking revolve around you! We all have our baggage and I’m really not interested in whatever lack luster run down you have to give on what you think I am like or how my home life is. Just give it a fucking break already and stop acting like such a fucking child.” You said sternly which left his pretty blue eyes wide; not expecting an outburst like that from you. You scoffed at him before grabbing your things and excusing yourself from class. ‘Jesus I need a cigarette...’ you mumbled before the bell rang, signaling to head to your next class. Boy was it going to be along day.

When it was time for lunch, you made your way to the cafeteria like normal. But before you can enter you were stopped by Dale, some guy who is in your history class. You’ve exchanged words rarely so you have no clue why he is stopping you. “Can I help you?” you asked and he looked you up and down which made your stomach uneasy. “Yea I can think of a few things.” he said as he came a little closer to you which made you back up in response to his very obvious advance onto you. “Dale I think you should-” you started to speak but he grabbed your wrist and pulled you to him. “No no no.. you listen to me now. You can’t just come to school dressed like a fucking slut and be shocked when a guy comes up to you.” he replied, a whine coming from you has his grip on your wrist tightened.

Before you knew it you were being pulled away by one of your girl friends. You looked back and saw Dale with blood covering his face, Billy wailing on him as his fists where covered in blood. As the situation deescalated you got away from your friends and chased after Billy, grabbing his shoulder softly. “Billy” you called out and he turned to face you. Holding his hands as you seethed at the wounds on them. “Come with me.” you whispered and Billy followed without even a word.

You decided to leave early, your excuse being you were both shaken up over the incident. The walk to your house was silent, tension so thick it could be cut with a knife. You brought Billy to your room and told him to wait there so you could grab everything to fix him up. He looked around your room from his seated position, a soft breath coming from him as he rolled his eyes. Your room exactly matched your personality. 

Billy averted his eyes back to his bloody knuckles when he heard your soft footsteps come closer to your bedroom. You sat beside him and grabbed the supplies you needed before peering up at him. “Umm. This is probably gonna sting a bit.” you warned to which he just nodded in response. Cleaning his wounds didn’t take long but you also tended to the cut on his lip. Trying to stay focused; but you found yourself admiring his features, looking into his eyes when you noticed he had been doing the same. The pair both cleared their throats and you got up to clean up all the bloodied supplies. 

“B-Billy... If you don’t mind he asking... I mean hell you don’t owe me an answer after the outburst in class today...” you vented before sighing heavily and sitting beside him. “Why did you do it? I mean... Why did you stand up for me?” you asked, a hint of fear in your voice because you’ve never seen Billy so angry before. Billy looked up seeming to you that he was just trying to process his words in a way that would be coherent. “Listen... I know that I uh- I’m not very nice to you. Ever. And you yelling at me earlier today kinda made me realize;” he started to explain before grabbing both of your hands. “That the reason I’m mean is because I’m scared of you getting to close and seeing... Me really... Dammit I know that probably doesn’t make any fuckin’ sense...” he vented and you tilted your head a bit, giving Billy a soft smile before reaching your hand out and cupping the side of his face gently. “Oh Billy..” You whispered before he eventually looked at you. “Y’know I do admit.. I really hate that you treat me the way you do everyday... But I have to admit that I’ve heard the rumor around school about your.. father. And I’ve seen you with a black eye before. I just thought it was just another stupid fight because y’know. Your Billy Hargrove.”

There was a long pause before you swiveled your body and sat directly in front of him; but he took the chance to speak first. “I just want to say that I’m sorry.. And that the reason I kept you at a distance is because I was afraid. Afraid of you seeing... me really... I know it might not mean anything and your more than welcome to just kick me out but... I like you...” he whispered as he looked into your eyes with those pretty baby blue of his that made you melt anytime you made eye contact. Your heart instantly melted because you could tell he was serious, not a doubt about a single thing he just said. He was truly being honest.

 Before he knew it your lips were on his, He wrapped his muscular arms your waist and pulled you into his lap with ease as he tilted his head to deepen the kiss; which you of course followed his lead with. “I’m gonna need you to promise..” you started before sitting up and looking into his eyes. “Promise that you wont push me away...” Those words hit him and he thought for a few seconds before nodding. He reached up and took one of his dangly spiked earrings off and handed it to you. “I promise.” he told you and you smiled before putting the earring on. The both of you laughing softly before laying in your bed, just drowning in each others company.

hello!I have a question about your alpha troll iceberg.

When did kurloz sexually assault meulin?I cannot find the source for it on my own.

I’m also a little skeptical since:

1.kurloz feels some form of guilt for deafening meulin.Not as much guilt as he shows,considering how he technically breaks his oath of silence by using his purpleblood magic

2.he isn’t openly sexual other than getting the codpiece,which I view as him following any orders from gamzee and/or lord English.And also his game sprite may have a bulge to it?im not sure about my second point

3.i don’t know why he would do that because he doesn’t abuse meulin that way.In openbound 2,he treats meulin more as an easy pawn to assist him in his malicious plans to help lord english & gamzee rather than sexually assaulting her to ruin her and then manipulating her.

I’m really curious to know when this happened,since it would reframe his already atrocious actions as even worse

Also I have a bias since I have a weird attachment to kurloz for no canon compliant reason.

This is clearly non-consensual touching that is being framed as Upsetting on Meulin's end and Deliberately Creepy on Kurloz's.

I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Well, I feel bad about it, obviously, assault is literally always bad, but I really cannot decipher Kurloz as a character. Not fully, really, 'cuz he doesn't have much of one. To me, this reads as a pure, unadulterated Makara Moment, and I'm frankly just kind of tired of it. Kurloz's character is just a nebulous haze of Plot Instigation and Racism. Gamzee's character is also just a nebulous haze of Plot Instigation and Racism. These are both characters who are coded as Black, who are portrayed as being very dominating, abusive, and physically + sexually violent - especially Gamzee. Kurloz doing this is weird, but it's not... Shocking, I guess.

His relationship with Meulin is absolutely, uh... Troubled... To put it nicely... What, with him manipulating her into a cult and mind controlling her into doing his bidding all the time, on top of this assault, the Bullshit Clown Magic having the side effects of Confusion, Brain Fog, and Memory Loss, and her still seeming to have some kind of suppressed attraction to him... It's complicated. I think it could be genuinely very fascinating to explore, if one has the stomach for it. And a deft enough hand... And is capable of handling it all with maximum sensitivity. It's verging on something really good... But it falls kind of flat, and it's fucking exhausting that we're having this same damn conversation with another fucking Makara.

This could be done extremely well. There's some genuinely solid grounds here for exploring a very complex, very visceral abusive relationship, kind of like what was going on with Gamzee and Terezi, but... There was both just not enough time to set that up fully, and also I am so tired of Makaras being Like That.

I wish I could say this was surprising. I really do. It's not, though. It's like... On par with Gamzee being kind of a Necrophile. I just have to sigh and throw my hands up and accept it. Like, god dammit, okay, I guess we're doing this today! Sure! Whatever! Fuck my life.

So i have a new svsss theory.

First of all some context. Im a literature student. I read all those boring works aclamed by the critics that dont say nothing, but tell you everything at the same time. And I kinda get why we think the Uliles is a literature masterpiece or why Kafka was such a genius.

But hear me out. MXTX? Fucking brilliant.

MXTX is a great writter, but her work are also filled with deeper meanings to explore, and every single plot line can be connected, has a meaning, everything is there bc se wants it to and bc it contributes to the story.

And for me, more than a fictional funny story, SVSSS is a work with the quality to become an all time literature classic. So hear me out.

Shen Jiu was the protagonist.

He was the protagonist on the original sotry, on Shang Qinghua's original story. He was the fucking protagonist!

First of all, he had the looks. Natural elegance and otherwordly attractiveness. Sj was cononically a man whose appearence stuck out.

Second, he was powerful. Sj was "chosen one" level of powerful. He was a kid, showing signs of a promising cultivator's future, a kind of innate strengh that wasnt found in any other character of the story (ygy and lbh had to cultivate years, before they could show such phisical manifestation of their powers).

Third, his realtionship with Ygy. Like, that's some main character shit! "If theres something like loyalty on this life, i will give all of mine to tpu". Ygy going to look for him, dying under thousands of arrows? Greek tragedias pale in front of the lifes Qu Ge and Xiao Jiu, "big brother seven and little slave nunber nine".

Also, he was an orphan, and he was humble. The first atribute relates to the hero's construction in traditional fiction storys, the hero of unknown original who is actually a long lost son (*cought* Luo Binghe *cought*). But an orphan hero is a pretty common figure in fiction.

The second one gains more meaning in relation to MXTX's works and chinese culture. In her works, we commonly have characters from humble begginings who are judged by their upbringings. This is perfectly clear in MDZS, as Wei Wuxian is cursed and blamed for everything he dies,: but his worst sin is that he was a commoner. And the hatred he recieves contrasts heavily with the love the Jianghu holds for Zhan Lang. If you take the time to look for it, there ate many implicantions related to social class diferences in MXTX's works.

Shen jiu was hated by Liu Qingge for his "sketchy ways". And Sqq's ways were nothing but a reflection from his upbringing: a poor, homeless slave child.

It also isn't a coincidence that Shen Yuan was a rich kid. Like, just think about it! Some people think that Sy and Sqq were " the same souls with different lives and if Sqq life had been better he could have been like sy". But like, have u read Sy?

Shen Yuan was a rich kid who never worked in his life, and spent his family's money on online novels. Shen Jiu was a slave who was abused and fought with thooth and nail every day of his life to assure himself he wouldn't have to suffer ever again. A genious, who knew how to be safe on the streets even as an infant, with unbreakable morals, who protected the only one he loved even till the end (acá ygy). If it wasnt for ygy, shen jiu wouldn evem had gotten in trouble, in the first place.

Not to offend any Sy's fans but he is kinda selfish, and dumb (in a loving way oc). And he had zero, ZERO emotional responsability. Sy didnt gave SHIT about what anyone felt (bc to him, everyone were just "characters"). But he also was kinda emotionally constipated. His only priorities in SVSSS were being safe, and looking good and "elegant".

Like come on, the man was the living representation of that meme that says "everything's fine", whole the ropa is on fire.

So yeah, sy and sj arent the same soul (we can have two protagonist without reducing one into the other, but this is a convo for a other day i guess). Sy and Sj are actually opposites, and here the great MXTX gives us another wonderful jab. Bc Sy was believed to be kind, when everything he did was for his own safety, meamwhile Sj was truly kind, often risking himself to save others around him (aka Liu fucking Qingge), but he was always misunderstood.

And Sy was rich, had an easy life and didnt need to do any work (he was born in a good enviorment, in both worlds, having everything handled to him). Meanwhile Sj struggled all his life never attaining a true sence of safety.

This is why I say MXTX is true a genius. Sy and Sj are comppleate opposites for each others. If you analize her works deeper, you will start to find all these small connections that give meaning to every single action.

Now, back to the start.

Shen Jiu is our protagonist. But he fails. It's no one's fault, jut at the same time it's everyone's.

Yue QingYuan didn't come back. Shen Jiu waited for too long. Que Haitang didn't realize. Qiu Jianluo was a sick (rich) fuck. Wu Yanzi was there. Shen Jiu was human, and he made mistakes, and he was afraid.

Shen Jiu never gave up: he fought, he grew, he shone like the protagonist he was, unbreakeble, a 'protagonist halo' that protected him even as he went through hell.

But it didn't protect him psychologically.

And everyone around him didnt see what he really was. Instead of a protagonist, Sqq was tilted as the villan.

Now this is my personal theory, but the system couldnt allow a story with no main character. He has to replace Shen Jiu.

Enters: original Luo Binghe. Now lets analize Binghe. He was poor and humble at the beggining, but he had noble blood. Powerful blood. And a mother, a privilege young Sj didnt obtain.

Lbh becomes the protagonist, and here is when PIDW starts.

But Lbh also fails! Bc true heroes avoid darkness, dont fall into revenge. True heroes forgive, they become better people that their masters. Lbh is actually a worse versión of Sj, not a better one. If sj supoosedly preyed on women, lbh had a harem full of them. If sj hurt his martial brithers, lgh destroyed his sect. If sj was a menance to the Jianghu, Lbh literaly destroyed it.

And Lbh himself isnt even happy at the end, his Sjizhun dead, the world at his hands, a harem surrounding him and the deep, emptiness in his heart that cannot be fieled by anything.

Og! Lbh fails, and this is where Sy comes in.

Bc sj's presence on the story made such a mess, the system chooses someone who is his compleate opposite. Rich, selfish and dumb. And then it gets rid of Og! Shen Qingqiu

Sj dissapeares.

Did he die? We dont know. Is he in another world? Does he get his happy ending, does someone remember him?

We dont know.

We will never know.

Sj was rhe main character of this story, but now he is missing. And everyone else goes on without him. Everyone else becomes a person, something more than a character, as Sy realizes that he is in for this world and the people around him have hearts and feelings too.

Shen Jiu doest get that. He doesnt become a person, he doesnt get his arc. He is nothing more that a pitiful character.

This is why i think SVSSS is a masterpiece.

Shall we mourn forever the protagonist we lost. He didnt fit the narrative, thus he had to be taken down.

fatness in palia

(its gonna sound like i hate palia bc ppl dont understand the concept of nuance, so just to be clear - i decently like the game so far. things can be both good and bad, and some ppl, like me, enjoy analysing and criticising things without hating on the things.)

it rly bugs me that the only properly fat character so far in Palia is someone whos obsessing about his sandwiches and talking about how he always makes sure to eat properly, and *also*, is someone in a position of power who does bad things (the quest where we grew crops for him is the most clear example ive seen so far). basically - the biggest fat man is a bad person who is obsessed with food.

delaila is big, but also falls into a stereotype - shes a countryside mom (often fat in media), and parent characters are generally easier for mainstream fatphobic media to design as fat bc theyre not intended to be attractive in the same way the younger characters are (or older men, see hodari and ashura). i also want to point out that she reads as having a little more of a curvy body type compared to kenli whos more of a big ball, and that none of the female characters read as having the same type of facial fat or double chin that kenli has (which is indeed why im calling him the only properly fat character). its almost as if that kind of facial/chin fat is considered worse on women than on men or something :)) wink wink.

ashura and sifuu are big, but read as "strong and muscular", not "a fat person". which any fat person will know is a significant difference in how you're perceived. (there is also an aspect here ofc of that irl, masculine-presenting "bulky and strong" ppl are often more positively perceived than feminine "bulky and strong" ppl, and that masculinity being seen as desirable in itself affects why "bulky and strong" is seen as desirable where "just fat" isnt, but this is a sidetrack rn.)

elouisa and caleri are... chubby, i guess? i was happy the first time i met caleri bc she had a visible double chin. but, after a bit of playing, seeing that there werent any fatter characters than this who were supposed to be seen as attractive or even good nice people, that enjoyment weighs little. i also again want to point out that both elouisa and caleri have very "smooth" faces, and mostly "conventionally attractive" features, essentially. they are chubby/curvy, but not in ways that would be considered *too* far off from the fatphobic, ageist, sexist beauty standards of society. they also have basically hourglass bodies.

the characters that we are mainly "supposed" to find attractive in this game - the romanceable ones - range from very skinny to "fit". there is even a romanceable skinny robot, notably not a romanceable fat robot (hekla is round, reads as the fat mom stereotype, and is not romanceable - einar is tall and slender and kinda built like a dorito, and, oh, presents more masculine... even robots arent free from misogynist and fatphobic design). there is also a non-romanceable character that apparently both characters in the game and many players find hot, which is a non-fat man, hodari. i note this bc he's presented as an attractive character, and is not fat.

its nice to see an older(?) female character presented as attractive - tamala, however she is very skinny and with an hourglass type build. this is still... nice, i guess, but in the context of the lack of "attractive characters" that arent really skinny, or muscular, or hourglass shaped.....

another related issue is that a very skinny character, jel.... literally says things like "i havent eaten for 3 days". wow! thats lovely! especially together with kenli obsessing over food! and together with an average size character, jina, also mentioning she forgets to eat. that made me feel gross to read, and i dont think its a good choice to put "lol forgetting to eat, relatable content" in the dialogue of characters who are very skinny. this can be a bad reinforcement of society's abuse ("just starve yourself and you'll be skinny and beautiful!") for people with eating disorders and for ppl who struggle with their weight and with their relation to food in general. but *especially* when the biggest character is, in contrast, talking about how hes obsessing over his sandwiches and whatever (and again - is a bad person and also not supposed to be attractive, while jel and jina are supposed to be attractive and romanceable). this is also obviously a reinforcement of prejudice against fat ppl - that fat ppl eat too much, cant control their eating, are always thinking about food, etc etc, while skinny ppl ~forgot to eat lol~.

all in all, if anyone reads this, i just hope ppl can acknowledge and be aware to the fatphobia that has gone into the design of this game, *just like basically every other game*. im not saying palia is worse than other games, bc frankly, most games are like this, and its gross and weird and i hate that. but its still valid to discuss that problem in the context of one game, without implying that its an issue that only affects that game.

i hope that at the very least, they will eventually add in more body types to the character creator that also represent bigger people, and that potentially, we might see some attractive fat characters as npcs in the future. and no, their faces dont need to be slimmed down compared to their bodies to be attractive! they can have unsmooth faces and double chins and wrinkles and still be attractive! and they can have all that and not be men, and be attractive! and they dont need to have hourglass bodies nor to be muscular and strong to be attractive, either!

ok so im gonna clarify a few things for yall who were confused about "the circus".

Stolas was not pining after blitz for 25 years.

Did he have a crush when they were kids? Absolutely.

Was the memory of their time together important to him? 100%.

But he had very much grown up and moved on by the time they met again.

"But why did he flirt when they were reunited?"

Well for one thing he had just chugged an entire bottle of absinthe.

Don't know if any of you have tried that shit but even like two shots will knock you on your ass.

So he was very drunk.

Second, because the circumstances were like something out of a romance novel.

A childhood crush climbing into one's bedroom? I've had that dream before.

But I doubt he expected Blitz to flirt back.

He was very inexperienced when it came to sex because he had only ever been with Stella and for reproductive purposes.

So having someone actually want him back was kinda a shock to the system.

"But then why did he get all loud and kinky?"

Because this was a sexual awakening for him.

He was with someone who supposedly wanted him (something Stella never did) and was very attracted.

What's more, Blitz and Stolas are very sexually compatible.

This is proven in Blitz's staying all night.

He could have just given him a quick fuck and suck and then been out the window.

But he didn't. Because he was having a great time with a very welling and very sexy partner.

"So why is their relationship so complicated?"

Stolas and Blitz come from two very different positions in a society that is incredibly hierarchical.

To Stolas, this isn't a big deal because he thinks the rules are stupid.

But to Blitz it is a very big deal. Because he's the one at risk if this all goes tits up.

Whats more, Blitz is very aware that his first meeting with Stolas was literally because he was bought and paid for.

Per Vivzie, imps are often stolen or sold from families to be used for slave labor.

Blitz is very very afraid that one day he will end up like his fellows and be someone's belonging.

We can see that in his hallucination with stolas. He is chained at his side while other versions of himself fan stolas as slaves.

Stolas most likely has no idea about this fear because 1) he probably didn't know their childhood playdate was paid for and 2) he is unaware of how unequal things actually are.

This is where the emotional baggage comes in.

Stolas is essentially a clueless teenager in love (and sexually awakened) for the first time.

He assumes that nothing else matters beyond love, passion, and compatability.

But we all know that isn't true.

Blitz on the other extreme. He is head-over-heels for stolas. But he can't admit it to himself because 1) he thinks stolas is just using him for sex and 2) even if stolas did love him he doesn't want to risk heartbreak.

We don't know exactly why blitz has such intimacy and trust issues.

My guess is that he experienced death/ abandonment fairly young.

And that fizz left him at some point to become famous.

But whatever the reason, he can't break down his walls to let anyone in. Especially someone so much higher on the hierarchy.

"So how does all of this end?"

In terms of the overarching story? They will work through their shit and become a beautiful couple.

In terms of details? No idea. Because that is up to vivzie and Brandon on how they want to tell the story.

But most likely a few things will probably happen (also based on the clips in the trailer)

1. Blitz and Fizz need to work out their drama

2. Stolas needs to help Octavia understand why he left/ how abusive Stella was

3. Showdown with striker (and maybe find out his unique background)

There will be other arcs as well for the other characters of course. Loona needs to work on her issues. M&M will have more stuff with their families. Not to mention new characters to join in.

But overall, that is most likely the direction things will go over the course of this season and maybe even a third one.
